Tresor announces two-month ‘Tresor 31’ festival celebrating their history
Legendary label hits the town – or rather city – for a two month knees up
Renowned techno club, label and institution, Tresor, have announced an extensive two month long festival ‘Tresor 31’, celebrating its 31-year history.
Set to take place in Tresor’s home city of Berlin from July 8 until August 27, the festival will encompass over 150 artists across 20 club nights, in some of the city’s largest venues including Tresor, Globus and OHM.
It will also host 8 concerts, as well as an exhibition reflecting on the past three decades of social change in both Berlin and the international music scene, in the venue Kraftwerk.
Live electronic shows will include Salford rapper Blackhaine’s Berlin debut, Detroit in Effect, Surgeon, and Voices From the Lake’s reunion show. Reflecting Tresor’s new generation of artists, Giant Swan, Aho Ssan & KMRU will also present a new collaborative performance titled ‘Limen’.
Further DJ sets and live acts include Antenes, RP Boo, and Simo Cell, as well as Tresor label affiliates Helena Hauff, Jensen Interceptor, Yazzus, and Moritz von Oswald.
Meanwhile, the exhibition will examine Tresor’s journey, from its pre-history, through to the unusual economic and social conditions of West Berlin, and finally, its transition into the cosmopolitan capital it exists as today. In partnership with interactive audio system Usomo, participants will be told the story via a headphone stream.
In the run-up to the festival, Tresor have announced a limited run of Golden Tickets which will grant visitors unlimited access to every Tresor 31 event, as well as a festival merchandise item.
