Technics celebrate 50 years of the SL-1200 with new limited-edition colours

Having first gone on sale in 1972, the iconic Technics SL-1200 turntable celebrates its 50th birthday this year. To mark the occasion, Technics have announced a limited run of coloured versions. Based on the standard SL-1210MK7, the limited-edition M7L models feature a gold tonearm and a special badge inscribed with the serial number of the deck.
The seven colour options (black, red, blue, white, green, yellow and beige) pay tribute to ”the street culture which inspired the rise of DJs”. Special edition accessories are also included, such as a slipmat and stickers.
The Technics SL-1200M7L models are available to pre-order, priced at £899. The standard SL-1200MK7 is in stock now, priced at £799.
