Newly announced from Twisted Electrons, the BlastBeats is a hands-on groovebox based around FM synthesis. Generating sound via a vintage OPL3/YMF-262 chip as found in 90s sound cards, the BlastBeats offers six drum voices and four synth parts, with plenty of physical controls for real-time tweaking.
