The module is the successor to the excellent Dinky’s Taiko.
ALM Busy Circuits have unveiled a follow-up to the Dinky’s Taiko digital drum voice. The Tyso Daiko follows a similar formula, with a 12-bit wavetable oscillator sound engine, but there are some big changes this time around. Most notably, the Tyso Daiko is a two-voice module, with separate triggers and a choke option on the first voice. One voice is output through a voltage-controlled analogue tilt EQ, while the other goes through a digital wave folder.
There are extensive CV control options, separate outputs for the two voices, plus the option to route external audio signals through the EQ section. You can see the module in action in the video above.
The ALM Busy Circuits Tyso Daiko is in stock now, priced at £295.
