Rane update Seventy-Two mixer and Twelve controller
Some features from the MKII versions will also be available as firmware upgrades for existing owners.
Rane have announced updates to their two flagship DJ products, the Seventy-Two mixer and Twelve turntable-style digital controller.
The Seventy-Two mixer sees an upgrade including Mag Four faders with reverse, contour and cut-in adjustment, Instant Double/Silent Cue/Sync toggle controls and dual DVS inputs (aux or phono/CD). All of these features will be available as upgrades to MKI owners, with the Mag Four faders available to purchase and retrofit. New features exclusive to the MKII hardware include external and internal crossfader tension adjustment.
Meanwhile, the Twelve MKII is an even bigger upgrade, introducing DVS/USB MIDI control for Serato DJ Pro, Traktor and Virtual DJ, a bigger OLED screen, Scroll/Load, Back and Instant Doubles navigation and a new plunger-style start/stop button.
Both products are set to arrive within the next couple of months, with the Seventy-Two MKII priced at an RRP of £1,749.99 and the Twelve MKII priced at £729.99. Scroll down for a feature overview of the Twelve MKII and some demo performances.
