Listen: Antoni Maiovvi – Darkroom (Jamie Paton Dub)

The excellent Giallo Disco Records have commissioned Jamie Paton to remix Antoni Maiovvi’s “Darkroom”, and the Cage & Avery member has turned in an infectious slice of noirish dub disco. 

You can stream the track via the suitably nebulous video clip above; Paton has stripped the original down to the bare bones, with the dubby bassline accompanied by whispers of subtly filtered synths and breathy vocals.  The track will appear on Maiovvi’s forthcoming Stockholm Synthdrone EP, which is ser for release via Giallo in November – more info on that here.
