It’s pretty hard to resist the sultry charms of “Phone Line”, a superlative slab of underground pop that perfectly encapsulates what Eglo, Fatima and Funkineven do best, which was tipped for greatness in our 2011 end of year staff lists. Branded as the best B Side of recent history by this very writer, “Phone Line” would be straight to no 1 in the bizarro world we’d prefer to live in, instead we’ll have to suffice with watching the starkly coloured video directed by Heather Sommerfield on repeat for the rest of the day.
