Watch: Strange U – Plastique
And now for something completely different – step into the world of Strange U with “Plastique”, an audio visual taste of what to expect from the rapper’s forthcoming material for Eglo Records.
Little information on Strange U is provided, with the label simply describing it rap music that transcends “barriers, hair do’s and passport photos”, while a routine search of the internet brings up a dormant tumblr and further videos on YouTube – do check the Jim Carrey sampling “Rancid Canvas Licks”, which is also seemingly set for release on Eglo. It’s hardly what you’d expect from the label, but there’s a murky, distorted darkness to “Plastique” that’s reminiscent of Company Flow in their Funcrusher Plus pomp and definitely leaves you intrigued.
