Download: Das Ding – H.S.T.A

Next week sees the release of The Minimal Wave Tapes Vol 2, the Stones Throw released compilation curated by Minimal Wave boss Veronica Vasicka. As a taste of what to expect the Los Angeles label are offering the Das Ding track from the compilation as a free download.

The track in question – “H.S.T.A” – is a perfect example of the Dutch producer’s rugged, dark and powerful electro explorations, utilising some well placed car honking amidst the cacophony of spidery synths and rough hewn drums. Originally released in cassette format on ST.U.M. Records & Tapes in 1982, the track later featured on the Minimal Wave released album of remasterd Das Ding material in 2008.
