Watch: Julia Holter – In The Same Room

RVNG have just revealed this charming video accompaniment to Julia Holter’s “In The Same Room”, taken from her forthcoming album Ekstasis.

Directed by photographer Hilary Walsh, it takes the form of a day-dream sequence, layering various film formats to create a suitably whimsical interpretation of the song. Ekstasis will be Holter’s third release, but her first for RVNG. Her sound, which references the experimental 80s pop of New York artists Laurie Anderson and Arthur Russell feels right at home on the label.

Ekstasis will be released on RVNG on March 8, 2012 on RVNG Intl. on 2xLP, CD, and digital formats.
