Win: Tickets to Kerri Chandler at Community

Community continue to treat South London to Saturday nights that nonchalantly bridge the international gap between the established and the rising, with this weekend’s edition perhaps the most striking example of their programming ethos. They’ve only gone and booked Kerri Chandler.

One of those individuals whose name is usually preceded by the words ‘House legend’, Chandler has recently relaunched his Madhouse label and some of his innumerable productions – “Bar A Thym” for example – have laid down the blueprint for what we consider the best of deep house today. In addition, with the help of Black Atlantic and Red Bull Music Academy, the event organisers have pulled together a trio of names that filter in from different angles of the sonic spectrum but still fit together nicely on this lineup.

First of all, there’s UK deep houser extraordinaire Linkwood, a name oft mentioned on these here pages. Throw in Hessle Audio’s Ben UFO – often labelled by his peers and contemporaries as their favourite DJ – and modern boogie badman Krystal Klear – one of our tips for the top in 2011 – and you’ve got a night at Plan B that’s near unmissable.

As you’d expect, demand for tickets has been high, but if you’ve yet to get yours, don’t sweat. We’ve got a pair of tickets to give away to a lucky Juno Plus reader. Of course, you don’t get something for nothing these days, so to secure those tickets you’ll need to impress us.

In honour of Community’s all encompassing “house, techno, disco, electronics” programming , we want you to come up with a fantasy line-up that spans all those genres. It could be a mix of DJs and live acts, or just DJs new and old – those who spin across the board, or high quality one-genre specialists. Our only rule is that you can pick no more than five acts to form the line up of your fantasy Community event.

Post your suggestions below – the winning entrant will be notified shortly after the competition closes at 2pm on Friday February 18. Get thinking!
