Featured DJ Chart: Anja Schneider
In the latest Juno Plus featured chart, mobilee boss Anja Schneider reveals some of the songs that are floating her musical boat at the moment. There’s a healthy mix of the old and new, with brand new productions from Deniz Kurtel and a (relative) oldie from Justin Martin. Also keep an eye out for Anja’s new Ithought EP, which you can buy now from Juno Records.
1. Deniz Kurtel – Yeah! (Crosstown Rebels)
“In my opinion, Deniz Kurtel is already one of the outstanding producers of 2010. I fell in love with her groove and productions, and her presentation as an artist instantly. I’m sure we will hear a lot of good things from her this year. Ten out of ten.”
2. Anja Schneider – Amore (mobilee) – taken from the Ithought EP
“Well, what more can I say?! I’m really happy to have a new release, it’s been a long time since I was in the studio, and this time I got to work with a very close friend of mine who I also really admire – Kiki. I hope you like it!”
3. Hermanez – Soms (Leena) – taken from the Necotine EP
“This track from Hermanez was my secret bomb at parties last year, and it never failed to have an explosive result. He is young and fresh and his music always makes me want to dance. I was more than happy to release this record on Leena and I would love to continue working with him in the future. Watch this space!”
4. Darko Esser – Thinking About You (Wolfskuil)
“One of my favourite secret weapons from The Netherlands’ Darko Esser. This record will continue playing in your head and never leave you alone, even hours after you have played it. It really gets under your skin.”
5. Justin Martin – The Sad Piano (Charles Webster Mix) (Buzzin Fly) – from the Buzzin’ Fly Volume 1 Sampler
“This is one for the girls! It’s also perfect to finish a party and to make everyone leave with a smile on their faces. The legendary Charles Webster makes the track even more special, but that goes without saying.”
