Many of those lucky enough to be in attendance at the Red Bull Music Academy’s electronic extravaganza at the Royal Festival Hall last weekend would readily agree Henrik Schwarz and Bugge Wesseltoft stole the show.

That’s no slight on the evening’s other stars – Matmos endeared themselves to the crowd with their hardware-only style and sense of humour, while Carl Craig and Moritz Von Oswald’s free flowing techno-jazz workout was a sight to behold – it’s simply testament to the understanding shared between Schwarz and Hesselhoft.

The two combined delicate melodies with solid beats – combining just the right amount of flair, substance, preparation and improvisation for a memorable performance.
