Featured DJ Chart: Faze Action

In the latest instalment of our featured chart series, we get the low down on Faze Action’s hottest tunes for November. The disco duo are set to play at a show to launch Electric Mind’s Arthur Russell tribute album, taking place this Friday (November 27) at the Garage in north London. The likes of Maurice Fulton, Yam Who? and Groove Armada’s Tom Findlay will all be DJing on the night.

1. Various – A Tribute To Arthur Russell: In The Light Of A Miracle

“Great vocals from Andy Williams (aka Yam Who?) and Mary Moore. Be sure to check out the Mark E mix of Pocketknife’s version of “Get Around To It” for some deep disco action.”

2. Ilija Rudman – Part Four

“We are big fans of Ilija but this one really is one of his best – an authentic mid to late 80s New York club track killer! The 12” comes complete with a great Revenge remix.”

3. Various – Go Bang! A Tribute To Arthur Russell

“The full tribute album for Arthur Russell includes artists such as Pocketknife, Max Essa, Ilija Rudman, Yam Who? and many more… I love the club version of “Wax The Van”.”

4. LCD Soundsystem – Bye Bye Bayou

“Classic indie/New York Dance here, with LCD Soundsystem’s version of Alan Vega’s “Bye Bye Bayou”. We both really like James Murphy, looking forward to the new LCD album out in March 2010.”

5. Faze Action – Stratus Energy

“Not much to say here, we had to include our album, released in May this year. Enjoy!”
