Expansion Eurorack module for the Sequential Switch v2
Notes: Erica Synths Sequential Switch CV Expander turns the Sequential Switch into a powerful CV/Gate sequencer, it connects to the Sequential Switch via ribbon cable supplied with a module.

CV Expander doesn't require a power supply, it draws power from the Sequential Switch. Refer to the picture below on how to connect both modules! Sequential Switch CV Expander is connected to the Sequential Switch via IN/OUT jack switching lugs, which means that if you patch something into IN/OUT jack, the relevant input gets disconnected from the CV Expander. If you use SS with CV Expander connected to sequence sound sources, make sure, you skip all steps that are not used (no patch cables connected)! If you do not do that, the DC from the CV Expander will get into the audio path and you will hear an undesired click.

Digital delay effects module for Eurorack - 16HP
Notes: A Digital Delay with an Analogue Soul for Eurorack:

Designed for performance, the EuroDDL features external control of every feature and function. It also has been designed to sound less digital than the average delay. Eventide's old school design strictly limits the amount of digital circuitry to only what's required for delay. Soft saturation clipping, low pass filter, feedback, insert loop, and +20 dB boost are all analogue. Once you hear it, you'll know why this is the ultimate, most musical, Eurorack delay. To be a true performance instrument, all the controls of the Eurorack module must be remote controllable. The EuroDDL does just that with jacks to accept control voltages and triggers. It's designed to be played as an instrument. And, it's designed to 'play nice' in the rack with Return/Send and Clock In/Clock Out.

Built on History from the Originators:

This Eurorack delay is well steeped in history. Its ancestry dates back to 1971 when we created the world's first 1745 Digital Delay Line. Back then, everything in audio was analogue except delay, which is why our original delay line was used to synch the audio feeds to the speaker towers at the legendary 1973 Watkins Glen concert. Now that history has been updated to breathe life into your Eurorack. It's the perfect companion for synthesis and any other instrument.

Quad polyphonic wavetable oscillator with 4 voices per VCO - 29HP
Notes: The 4Vox is a quad wavetable oscillator with up to four voices per VCO, resulting in a maximum of 16 voices at four individual outputs. With the MIDI In, the module can be played both with CVs and directly via MIDI, which also allows for modulating some additional parameters. There are 39 memory locations for wavetables and 32 for all global parameters of the VCOs.

The parameters of a wavetable can be controlled by CVs and by MIDI. For instance, you can morph through a wavetable with a CV, a MIDI controller or manually with the potentiometer. The range of waves within a wavetable can be selected by minimum and maximum values individually per voice which allows for creating more complex morphs.

Further controllable parameters are Detune, Semitone, Octave, Chord, Portamento, Amplitude and Amp Move (90 degrees phase shifted volume modulation of a VCO's 4 voices). Min and max values can be selected for those parameters as well. Via MIDI it's possible to control further parameters (notes, chords, pitch bend, patch selection and wavetable selection).

The VCOs can be played analogue (frequency by Pitch CV input), monophonic via MIDI or 4-voice polyphonic via MIDI.

The VCO can be used as a voltage controllable LFO with 3 modes: loop, one shot and gates. The SYNC input is used to trigger/reset the LFO. In one shot mode the LFO can be used as a trigger delay, too (SYNC = trigger in, GATE = trigger output, PITCH = delay time).

Each VCO has an analogue 1V/octave input including a fine tune control (+/-1 semitone) and pitch control (approx. 10 octaves), two freely assignable CV inputs, two freely assignable potentiometers, a trigger input for Sync/LFO-reset as well as a Gate and VCO/LFO output

The display can show a graphic of the selected waveforms.

All global parameters and also the VCO's settings can be named and saved as a non-volatile patch by the user. 32 memory locations are available.

Analogue filter bank with integrated modulation sequencer - 31HP
Notes: Flame Curves is an analogue moving resonance filter bank. It includes a twelve-channel analogue filterbank and a pattern player which can be programmed with a software editor. You can use a freeware "Curves editor software" (Win/Mac) for setup and user pattern editing. The module needs a clock to run in pattern-mode. It also features a reset input to set the sequence back to the first step. The memory in the module can save up to 99 patterns. The active pattern can be seen on the display and selected thanks to two buttons.

If Curves is in sequencer mode, the Envelope potentiometer controls the AR envelope, the Variation knob adds random velocity and release, and the Fill potentiometer controls the level of all the channels.

In manual mode, when the sequencer is off, you can select different filter-types with the Variation potentiometer: allpass, lowpass, bandpass 1-3 and highpass. Thanks to the Fill knob it is possible to sweep through the twelve filter bands. The Envelope knob smooths the sweep by activating a second band next to the selected filter band. Thus, the change from one band to another is not so abrupt.

It is also possible to play the twelve filters via MIDI like a drum module, thanks to the supplied MIDI to minijack cable. It even reacts to velocity.

The twelve bands are subdivided in odd and even bands, which you can feed or tap out separately thanks to the various inputs and outputs. Try patching the odd outputs on one side and even outputs on the other side and you will get an amazing stereo effect! ALL output features a Dry/Wet and a Level potentiometer.

Additionally, the module features also a direct audio output and direct VCA input of each filter channel. Thus, it is possible to feed gate, triggers or envelopes to the VCA of various filterbands and play them independently.

Furthermore, there are several CV inputs for controlling Envelope, Variation and Fill parameters as well as the pattern number.

Compact joystick module with 8 memory slots & sequencer functionality - 10HP
Notes: With the Memory Joystick, you can control your modular system like an old video game console. Movements of the stick are recordable. Eight positions can be stored and recalled via buttons. Alternatively, it is possible to jump from one to the next value. The feel is then similar to a step sequencer. You can even vary the playback behaviour.

The Memory Joystick will always start in MANUAL MODE:

Moving the joystick generates CV at the X and Y outputs. Pressing HOLD will freeze the current position. The joystick movements are always being recorded in the background while the SAVE button is blinking. By pushing the SAVE button, now lit permanently, the playback of your movements will start. A RESET impulse resets the loop. Easy and enjoyable!

A little more complex, but not less enjoyable, is the second mode of operation. By pushing MEMORY, you enter the MEMORY MODE:

In this mode, you can use the eight buttons to save eight different joystick positions. This means you have a memory of eight values for the X and Y CV-outputs. You can then play these eight memory slots manually with the respective eight buttons, or sequentially with a CV at CV-MEM or with triggers at the TRIGGER input. While being clocked you can choose nine playback PATTERNS by the position of the joystick. So this module is also a joystick-playable eight-step sequencer!

The memory in MEMORY MODE is non-volatile, meaning you can power off your module and return to the exact setting.

Another nice feature of the Memory Joystick: The orientation can be varied by 180 degrees! This way, you can decide whether you want the buttons and jacks on the top or bottom of the module. When using the module upside-down, there is a nice little trick: Push a little switch on the back of the module to invert the X & Y outputs and also shift the starting position of the sequencer by four steps.

4-channel CV recorder, looper & lo-fi sampler - 14HP
Notes: Four-channel recorder/looper for recording and playing back control voltages or potentiometer movements in a very wide frequency range, from very slow to fast. The output is a smoothed voltage without audible increments due to an algorithm with 16 bit resolution.

Synchronization via clock or MIDI and "punch-in" recordings are possible. The recording time per channel is up to one hour (such us MIDI clock) independent of selected sync mode.

Four independent channels are used for recording control voltages from analogue sequencers, LFOs, envelope generators, joysticks as well as potentiometer movements. It's possible to record/playback CVs in 16 Bit resolution either in the -5V to +5V range or from 0V to +10V. You can set the range individually for each channel.

SOURCE determines the record source. This can be the CV input, the potentiometer or both. ZOOM is a two stage fine adjust function of the control ruler.

Playing back the tracks can happen manually, via a Trigger, a Gate or via MIDI Start/Stop. Following modes are possible: LOOP, SINGLE (one shot), GATE (gated playback) and SCAN (CV scanning). Using the SCAN mode, the recorded sample can be scanned via CV input or the pot of the channel. It is possible to manually play the track velocity and direction (feasible effects: reverse, randomized, stuttering).

There are a number of possibilities to manipulate track playback. After the recording you can change the START point, end point (LENGTH) and playback SPEED or determine if the loop is set with the CVs or pots.

Using the LINK function, it is possible to group channels for multitrack or joystick recording: ALL allows for using all four channels individually. In DUAL mode tracks are grouped in sets of two or four tracks at any one time (e.g. for simultaneous recording of X and Y axes of a joystick).

Synchronization via clock or MIDI and "punch-in" recordings are possible with individual settings per track and with automatic detection of the clock frequency (number of clocks per quarter). When synchronising to MIDI Clock (96 pulses per bar) you can record up to one hour. The HARD/SOFT setting uses different levels for the CV interpolation in Clock/MIDI sync mode.

Compact three channel utility module for every patch - 6HP
Notes: The 321 includes the most useful functions we always need in every patch, to edit and combine dynamically the signals in use.

It is composed of three identical sections, the red, yellow and green, where each of those is capable of scaling any signal, from 0 up to 2 times (+6dB), flip its phase, and apply a DC offset, allowing to shift your audio or CV up or down.

In case no signals are connected to the section input, the offset may act as a CV source too.

The three sections are then summed together into two independent summing stages: the top right jack outputs the sum of all three sections, while the top left outputs the sum of the unconnected sections only (semi-normalled).

The 321 is entirely DC coupled, allowing the process of control voltages as well as audio signals.

In case CV's or audio signals are particularly hot, the two 6dB attenuators, one per each summing section might be helpful to reduce exactly by 50% the incoming signals.

Mixer/buffered signal distributor module - 6HP
Notes: The 333 is a summing and distribution module for Eurorack modular systems.

It is composed of three identical sections, the red, yellow and green, each of those featuring three inputs summing amplifier with three independently buffered outputs.

Derived directly from the CGM creative mixer series, the sum section is DC coupled, allowing the sum of control voltages as well as audio signals.

With an extremely low tolerance in both sum and output sections, it is suitable also for summing quantized voltages like the ones coming out from the quantized outputs of the SAPEL.

In case CVs or audio signals are particularly hot, the 6dB attenuator might be helpful to reduce exactly by 50% the incoming signals.

Red and yellow output are also normalled to the 1st jack socket of the yellow and green input: in this way this module can also work as a 1 to 9 buffered multiple.

GROUP sub-module of the high-quality, expandable CGM Creative Mixer system
Notes: The CGM Creative Mixer is a modular mixing solution for Eurorack modular systems, designed to obtain a flexible setup, providing all the tools you may need in studio and during a live performance, as well as everything you may want to control via CV. Up to 8 Channels may be connected to a single Group, taking care also of its powering. You can connect also up to 4 Groups to a Master module.

The Group gets and sums the L/R post fader signals (WHITE) of all the linked Channels, sums all the signals from the YELLOW and GREEN sends, and manages the sends (mono) and returns (DUAL MONO or STEREO), summing it to the signals from the CHANNELS. It also manages the solo in place activation on all the linked Channels, and provides a L/R output for the outgoing signal, or (via a jumper on the back of the module) a L/R output of the sum of the returns signals.

All analog dual filter bank - 42HP
Notes: The FUMANA is an all analog dual filter bank with various control to access dynamically these bands. Each filter bank is composed of an array of 16 independent 48dB/oct bandpass filters. Having two identical filter arrays, allows you to use one of those for spectral analysis (of a modulator signal) and the other for spectral re-synthesis (of the main signal). Each array is sub-grouped in odd and even bands (numbering these increasingly from 1 to 16 from left to right). It is possible to apply different signal to odd and even bands, both for main and/or modulator arrays. This, together with the 16 envelope followers connected to each band of the modulator filterbank, and the 16 VCA connected to each band of the main filterbank, allows the FUMANA to perform a single 16 bands or a dual 8 bands analog spectral transfer.

While the upper section provide access to each main filter's direct output, the lower section has 4 voltage controllable parameters to manage two independent functions for further spectral editing: tilt and parametric scan.

The tilt, as the name suggest, tilts the spectrum, adding and subtracting amplitude to the 16 bands, emphasizing lower or high bands, and attenuating high or lower bands: this is managed only with the green potentiometer.

The parametric scan, instead, works with three parameters: peak/notch, band selector and width. Like in a parametric equalizer, where is possible to set peak/notch gain, frequency and slope, the FUMANA uses three parameters to set which is the centre band to perform this manipulation, then if that band should be emphasized or attenuated, and how this action is extended to nearby bands.

In addition to the 16 bandpass outputs, there are other 4 outputs provided: the all bands output, the all envelope followers output, the odd bands and the even bands output. These two have the options to be inverted in phase with two switches, in order to obtain even more combination when summed together, maybe/also with the "all bands output", using, for example the 333 module.

Since a spectral transfer tool may be used as a "vocoder-like-effect", the FUMANA provides an input for an external noise which may be used for unvoiced (fricative/sibilants) sounds as words containing or starting with s, f, z, ch and other fricative sounds.

Random control voltage for Eurorack, featuring multi-channel noise source & two sophisticated random sections
Notes: The SAPEL is a random control voltages source for Eurorack modular systems. It is composed of two main sections, one that generates audio noises, in 4 different versions, and another which includes two specular random clock, random voltages and clock sources.

Noise outputs are colour coded, based on the noise colours, and include:

- Blue (+3dB/oct spectrum)
- White noise (0dB/oct spectrum)
- Pink noise (-3dB/oct spectrum)
- Red noise, a.k.a. Brown or Brownian (-6dB/oct spectrum).

The random voltage and clock section features four uncorrelated random CV generation paths, divided in;

- Fluctuating random voltage;
- Quantized random voltage with 2n stages tuned in semitones referred to 1V/oct scale;
- Quantized random voltage with n+1 stages tuned in octaves referred to 1V/oct scale;
- Non quantized sample & hold.

It is also possible to set a probability distribution with a potentiometer, and apply (or do not apply) the chosen distribution setting to each of the four paths independently.

Furthermore, each of the two random sources section features an independent built-in clock generator, with clock output and random clock output, which can be used in "more than" or "less than" mode. It is possible to use an external clock signal as a clock source, bypassing the built-in one. In addition to that, it is also possible to hand trigger the clock via a manual sample & hold button, which can be also modulated by gate signals.

Continuum looks and acts rather like a VCF, in fact that's exactly what a phaser is, an all-pass VCF. There's far more to phasers than just sweeps up and down from an LFO, so Continuum has two CV inputs, so you can use a variety of CV sources simultaneously.

The topology of Continuum is 4 swept OTA all-pass filter stages with a fixed all-pass filter stage either side of the swept core. There's a switch to select regen over odd or even stages. Most phasers stick to odd stages, but there are undiscovered sonic possibilities using even stages of regen.

Continuum is now a 2 PCB set and skiff-friendly, a tasty PCB sandwich no less! One PCB holds the main circuit, the other all panel components (pots/sockets/switch). The two PCBs are joined by male/female headers The new version is on RED PCB stock (the old version being a GREEN PCB).

Eurorack variable filter synth module based on Roland System 700 filter module - 10HP wide
Notes: Based on the Roland System 700 state variable filter module. Lowpass, bandpass and highpass outputs.

A big part of the sound of the State 700 is the way in which resonance is reduced as the audio inputs are driven harder. It won't self oscillate with a hot audio input, throttle back a little and you'll get squelchy ear bleeding resonances!

Eurorack voltage controlled filter (VCF) & voltage controlled amplifier (VCA) synth module based on the Moog Rogue VCF and VCA - 10HP wide
Notes: Proudly presenting the lastest module in the ever expanding Frequency Central stable - 'Vogue VCF/VCA' - a faithful clone of the Moog Rogue VCF and VCA on 10HP. Vogue... rhymes with... Rogue... rhymes with Moog.

Vogue has two outputs, VCA and VCF, so the module can be used as a VCF and VCA combined, or you can bypass the built-in VCA altogether and use the module as a stand-alone VCF. The VCA CV input is shared with VCF CV input #1, although it is not affected by the attenuator - so you can feed an ADSR into this CV input, attenuate it for the VCF, but still have the VCA kicking out at full gain. I thought this was a cool way to add the extra functionality of the Rogue's quirky VCA without needing any extra panel space!

Module width: 10HP
Module depth: 65mm
Current draw: +10ma/-10ma

Eurorack multi-waveform syncable Low Frequency Oscillator (LFO) module based on Electric Druid TAPLFO2D family of code - 4HP wide
Notes: Wave Runner LFO:
Wave Runner is a multi-waveform sync-able LFO based on the Electric Druid TAPLFO2D family of code, but with some significant additions and improvements. The TAPLFO2D-FC PIC and code is exclusive to Frequency Central and was developed specifically for the Wave Runner, and is not compatible with similar modules.

8 waveforms:
- sawtooth
- ramp
- pulse
- triangle
- sine
- noise
- sample and hold
- stepped triangle/sawtooth/ramp

All waveforms can be skewed using the Distort knob, as well as control over pulse width of square, and distortion of the cyclic waveforms, this get you control over Noise freq as well as bitcrushing, bitcrush of S/H down to 1 bit for random triggers.

Tap sync input, for syncing to whatever. Wave Runner measures the last two incoming pulses and syncs itself to these. Multiply knob allows for Wave Runner to run at x0.5, x1, x1.5, x2, x3 and x4 of the incoming sync pulse. Freq is from stupid slow (0.025Hz) into low audio range (50Hz).

The latest version also features Level CV input to control the absolute output level of the LFO.

Eurorack digital voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) synth module
Notes: Waverider Digital VCO - here we go! Now in production, wavetable VCO with tons of features: CV'd interpolating waveforms, CV'd subosc waveforms and octaves, CV'd glide, bitcrushing and more!

Frequency: The Frequency CV input accepts 0-5V control voltages, quantized to semitones, to cover the MIDI note range 0-63. It is possible to limit the CV input with the CV attenuator. The basic frequency range of the VCDO is ten octaves from MIDI Note 0 to MIDI Note 120 (8.18Hz to 8372Hz), and can be selected by the manual Frequency knob.

Detune: The Detune CV input is not quantised, and allows for -5V to +5V CV to modulate +/-8 semitones. The manual Detune knob allows adjustments to be made +/-100 cents.

Waveform: The VCDO section has 16 waveforms which you're unlikely to have seen before, arranged as a wavetable. The VCDO is able to crossfade from one to the next, creating a wavetable which you can scan through under voltage control, -5V to +5V. It would have been easy to include standard waveforms like ramps and triangles, but there are many oscillators that produce those. This oscillator has its own character and provides something different.

Sub Wave: As well as the main oscillator, there is also a sub oscillator with 8 waveforms. Each waveform can be selected at one of four octaves, either +1 octave (above the main osc pitch!), in unison, -1 octave, or -2 octaves. Additionally, the Sub Wave can be selected externally by CV, -5V to +5V.

Glide: Waverider also includes a glide/portamento effect, glide times range from 12ms/octave to 2.4secs/octave. Turning the Glide knob to minimum switches the glide effect off. Additionally, Glide can be externally controlled by any gate source, 0V = Glide off, 5V = Glide on.

Crush: The Crush knob controls the sample bit resolution of the output (ie bitcrushing). This can be reduced from 8-bit down to 1-bit in eight steps.

VCDO and Sub Osc Outputs: 8-bit, 62.5KHz sample output rate. The internal waveforms and calculations are 8-bit, and new samples are output via the on-chip PWM modules at 62.5KHz. The PWM modules' outputs are at 125KHz.

9 input/9 output pin matrix synth module - 24HP wide
Notes: The MTX9 presents a new take on an old classic - the pin matrix, famously incorporated into EMS and Maplin synthesizer designs. The MTX9 provides 9 inputs and 9 outputs to be patched to one another, whilst allowing for passive splitting of one input to several outputs and averaging summation of several inputs to one output (or more).

Each component of the matrix has been designed to use standard parts - the pins are 2mm banana test plugs and all cards of the matrix are easily replaceable. Whilst the matrix is currently passive, an active expander card will be available from FSS soon. The MTX9 is supplied with a dry-wipe marker and 10 banana pins as standard, with spares available from FSS.

Eurorack module based around The Gristleizer
Notes: The Gristleizer Pre-Amplifier is a new addition to the existing circuity of Roy Gwinn's "Guitar Effects Pedal" design. After Chris Carter's suggestion of a guitar pre-amplifier for use with the rest of the Gristleizer series, the TG5 came into being. Based upon Jonny Reckless' FET-based discrete amplifier circuitry, Roy Gwinn has designed a pre-amplifier with a high quality VCA back-end which allows for any external audio source to become fully integrated into a Eurorack system.

The Guitar or Line input is firstly fed through one FET stage of the pre-amplifier, and then into a super-clean THAT VCA, the direct output of which is available at the Clean output. This source is then fed through two more FET amplification stages and a tone section (featuring the typical Bass, Mid and Treble controls found on many guitar amps) to the Master output. Bite and Boost controls allow for further control over the tone of the input signal.

An RMS detector (found as part of the THAT VCA) is employed as an envelope follower, as well as a gate detector. The Sensitivity control allows the user to set how the RMS detector reacts to the incoming signal's level. Access to the THAT VCA's Gain control input allows the two Envelope outputs to be used as control sources for the pre-amplifier itself, turning the module into a dynamic compressor (Inverted Envelope) or expander (Normal Envelope).

Analog bassdrum & distortion module - 13HP
Notes: Like all modules in the "Mutant Drums" series, the bassdrum takes a reverend circuitry and mutates it. In this case it is an 808 BD expanded by a pitch parameter, voltage control of pitch and decay as well as a proper voltage controlled distortion you can use independently for other sounds like a synth lead.

The Tone potentiometer controls, as in the original 808, the timbre of the bassdrum. The decay parameter allows for generating snappy short to very long bassdrums and goes up to self-oscillation. The range of the pitch parameter is very wide, it ranges from sub audio to frequencies suitable for tom sounds. The pitch can be voltage controlled in addition; although the input is not 1V/octave you can still play basslines easily.

The bassdrum is played after having received an impulse at the Trig input. Accenting the sound is possible due to the accent input. An LED indicates when the bassdrum is played.

The bass drum sound is internally routed to the distortion input and is available in its distorted version at the Dist output. As there's an audio input as well, you can distort any sound you desire. Both input level and amount of distortion are adjustable, the latter one is voltage controllable. Distortion activity is visualized with an LED.

Analog bassdrum synthesis with sub-oscillator - 13HP
Notes: Not just another clone or continuation of the 808-esque, acid-style kicks of the Mutant Bassdrum - the Mutant BD9 seeks to explore uncharted bassdrum territory by having an integrated sub-oscillator for maximal auditory obliteration.

Parametric bassdrum synthesis offers creative control of the core sound:
- The primary analog VCO offers classic 909-esque sinusoidal bassdrums, but can also be switched to generate a square wave bassdrum
- The PITCH of the VCO spans several octaves, from about 30Hz to 240Hz, and can be modulated with voltage control
- A novel PITCH DECAY circuit allows you to adjust the duration and AMOUNT of the pitch-modulation envelope applied to the bassdrum, from short blips to exaggerated tom-like sweeps
- The AMPLITUDE DECAY allows adjustment of the length of the bassdrum, from short punchy kicks to massive booms. This parameter is voltage-controlled with a snappy CV response time, allowing you to modulate the duration of your kicks per step.
- The CLICK generator is responsible for the attack intensity of the BD9. A fair amount of circuitry goes into creating this subtle punch at the beginning of the kick. The level of this effect is adjustable up to a fairly dramatic extremity.
- The overall timbre of the BD9 varies with the DRIVE control from warm, analog bassdrums at low settings to speaker-shattering overdriven sounds at high settings. Output levels are modular-level signals, unlike many classic line-level percussive devices.

Still not heavy enough? Try the sub-oscillator:
- A square wave sub-oscillator derived from the primary oscillator's pitch can be mixed in (manually and with voltage control) to the BD9. The effect can be subtle deepness or extreme timbre changes.
- A jumper on the back of the module allows you to select between the sub-osc being a raw square wave or having some of the high frequency components removed with a lowpass filter.
- At high OUTPUT DRIVE and SUB LVL combinations, the sub-oscillator can be modulated with CV to saturate the BD9 output in evolving ways.
- The SUB OCT can be set to 0, -1 or -2 octaves down from the primary oscillator. A drop of 0 means that you can mix an equal-pitch square wave with a sinusoidal primary wave.

Designed for the contemporary modular synthesizer:
- Plenty of Eurorack-compatible control voltage inputs with bipolar attenuverters allow synthesis of dynamic percussion
- A practical analog trigger circuit allows activation of the BD9 from many signal sources (anything with a positive-going edge lasting 2ms or longer). Most electronic drum pads can also directly trigger the Mutant BD9.
- An accent input accepts analog voltage control (0 to 5V will fully modulate the volume from low to high)

16 output ultra-flexible MIDI to Trigger, Sync, Polyphonic CV, Gate & more
Notes: The Mutant Brain is the central nervous system connecting your modular analogue Eurorack system to MIDI gear, especially for percussion, polyphonic notes and sync duties! It packs 16 Eurorack compatible outputs into a tiny, super affordable 8HP package.

The 4 CV outputs and 12 Gate/Trig outputs are all universally reconfigurable. Triggers, gates, clock divisions and sync signals, polyphonic keyboard playing, velocity, sequencer transport, LFOs - you name it!

Configuring your patch is easy - just assign each output as you like in the Mutant Brain Surgery configuration utility, then send the MIDI SysEx file to the module and forget about it - the Mutant Brain remembers it all for you.

Hexinverter supply a convenient download pack of pre-configured, ready to use Mutant Brain patches for some select sequencing and drum machine devices on the market today, easily turning those sequencers and drum machines into a modular control powerhouse!

Designed with live and studio performance in mind, the Mutant Brain does away with wasted panel space and complex menu-diving interfaces, while freeing you from the limited "auto-learn" type MIDI interface. An auto-learn interface sometimes doesn't play well with the limitless combinations of different gear setups which today's modular performers play live with.

Feature-rich, analog handclap percussion synthesis reminiscent of the 909
Notes: Just like the other Mutant Drums, the Clap is a highly versatile module. It is actually a voltage controlled LFSR noise oscillator as well as a powerful percussion synthesis engine!

- Pitch control of noise generator means you can create everything from vanilla 909 claps to broken, chiptune-like alien sounds
- Doubles as a voltage controlled, Commodore64-sounding noise VCO via the NOISE output and PITCH CV input
- SUSTAIN control lets you crank up the clap's sustain and use the module as an abstract synth voice with external inputs!
- External input allows you to synthesise claps from virtually any sound source you plug in
- Built in internal reverb effect derived from clap tone
- Reverb decay forms the decay of the clap sound, and is fully voltage controllable from short reverb "snaps" to long, whooshing tails!
- You can select between internal and external noise sources as the source for the reverb sound generation, opening up really interesting sounds
- DRIVE control lets you dial in anything from clean to extremely overdriven sounds

Powerful dual hi-hat generator module - 13HP
Notes: A classic electro percussion synthesis design reborn as something completely different. Hexinverter wanted to recreate a classic hihat synthesis design as something new and exciting, so they took the super electro 808 circuit and transformed it into a powerful creative tool for modular synthesis!

Featuring:

- Analogue hihat circuitry capable of synthesising vanilla TR-808 open and closed hihat sounds (simultaneously)
- External audio input lets you synthesise hihats from virtually any sound source (Jupiter Storm, vcNOIZ, etc.)
- Lo-fidelity original VCAs replaced by OTA-based modern VCAs
- VCA DRIVE control for each hihat allows you to dial in anything from soft metallic hihats to extremely overdriven, crunchy hihats
- Exclusive switch lets you select how the two hihats (open/closed) interact with each other when triggered at the same time
- Cutoff frequency control for internal resonant bandpass filter
- Resonant filter can be switched on/off
- Modular level mutual accent input (0-5V CV)
- Trigger input accepts almost anything as a trigger signal
- Non-invasive analogue optocouplers used for voltage control, thus, completely vintage sounds can still be had if that's what you're after!
- Completely redesigned, hi-fi signal chain spares no expense by replacing cheap transistor amplifiers with low noise op-amp and OTA equivalents
- You can dial in super hot, modular level output levels (up to 20Vp-p!)
