Notes: We wanted to organize patch cables that were hanging on all possible objects in our Lab, therefore we decided to make patch cable holders.

Rigid, 2mm aluminium powder coated cable holders can host over 100 patch cables in perfect order! Two screws for fixing the cable holder are included.

Notes: You may wonder - what's that strange connector on the top of the Bullfrog? This is the VOICECARD slot. Voicecards expand functionality of the Bullfrog and make it even more versatile. Essentially, the voicecards replace patch cables - they connect the "modules" of the Bullfrog internally. But that's not all about them - some voicecards have built in mixers, signal generators and advanced electrical circuits to control the synthesiser, for example, sequencer that sends CV to control pitch and gate to start events on the synthesiser.

When inserting voicecards, make sure, the front panel of the voicecard faces the main interface of the Bullfrog. It is recommend that you turn off the Bullfrog when inserting a new voicecard.

The ELECTRIC ORGAN voicecard makes internal connections of the Bullfrog to emulate pipe organ, when several notes are played together. It also illustrates the principles of ADDITIVE SYNTHESIS. In additive synthesis several simpler waveforms are mixed together to generate more complex sounds. On this voicecard the pulsewave is sent to the DIVIDER and all outputs of the divider are mixed together with the original pulsewave and sent to the VCF and then to the VCA. Both ENVELOPE GENERATORS are involved in the same way as on the Acid Bassline voicecard. The DIVIDER divides an original frequency by even numbers and as result produces a pitch that is even octaves down form the original pitch. Faders on the voicecard determine an amplitude of each suboctave. Set the VCA OFFSET all way counter clockwise, PULSE OUT to the max. Push the MANUAL GATE button to check the sound. Tweak settings of the faders and observe the difference in the sound. Tweak CUTOFF and RESONANCE knobs. Add some echo by setting the DRY/WET knob to 12:00 and find the best DELAY TIME and FEEDBACK settings. Now, connect the keyboard and you are ready to perform Toccata and Fugue in D minor.

As it's name suggests, the HIGHPASS VCF voicecard expands the sound treatment capabilities of the Bullfrog by bringing a highpass filter into the game. This allows for exploring highpass and bandpass filtering. The voice card features typical VCF controls - CUTOFF frequency, RESONANCE and CV LEVEL. The CV source switch allows for selecting between three CV sources - envelope generator 2, Sample & Hold LFO, which is a pulsewave generator in the Sample&Hold "module". The voice card features internal audio connections - the output from the MIXER is patched into the highpass VCF, the output of the highpass VCF goes into the input of the onboard lowpass VCF which is then connected to the VCA. For more flexibility, no CV connections for the Bullfrog are present on the voice card, so you have to do the patching yourself.

Notes: Erica Pico INPUT module is just what you need to interface your modular system with external synths or even your mp3 player or mobile phone.

It boosts external signal to modular synth signal level.

With the Pico Input, line signals from, for example, a synthesizer, drum-computer, audio interface or smartphone can be raised to modular level. The module delivers up to 40 dB of gain. Thanks to its two channels, users can comfortably process mono as well as stereo material.

The Pico Input comes equipped with two signal paths. Each signal path features an audio input, a volume potentiometer and an output. Up to 40 dB of amplification are available. Using jumpers on the circuit board, it is possible to dampen the maximum gain to 20 dB. The module's first input is a stereo jack, meaning the user can connect a smartphone or tablet without any adapter cables. In this case, incoming signals are distributed internally to both channels.

Notes: Want some distorted drums or thicken up the final mix but you are short in rack space? Pico Drive is the answer! Pico Drive is combined wavefolder overdrive module that features manually adjustable Gain and Drive level, CV control over Gain and Drive adds more expression, while built in limiter prevents output signal to run into undesired clipping.

If you want to use a MIDI sequencer to trigger events on your modular synthesizer (e.g. using the hexinverter.net Mutant drums range or Tiptop Audio classical drum modules or envelope generators to control VCAs), Erica Synths MIDI to Trigger module is just what you need, it converts ANY MIDI notes to eight 10ms Trigger signals.

When designing the module, Erica Synths put usability as priority; it will take you seconds to program the module. It works with any MIDI sequencer & controller so there is no need to change MIDI controller settings, instead, you reprogram the module.

Notes: Erica Pico RND is combined LFO/random source module.

It generates sine LFO waves, white noise, S&H CV and some interesting stuff - random triggers and pulse wave with random duty circle; basically, everything, you need, to bring some uncertainty in your modular setup.

The Pico RND comes equipped with five outputs, they emit the following signals:

Supplier's Notes:
As its name suggests, the Erica Synths Black DJ VCF provides sound treatment functionality typically found on DJ decks - it is fully open when the cutoff knob is set to 12:00. When turned counter-clockwise, lowpass filtering is applied and when turned clockwise, highpass filtering is applied. The filter also has a nice-sounding resonance parameter. This module provides hands-on control over the sound during the performance, as well as unconventional timbre modulations that are hard to achieve with conventional state variable filters. The Black DJ VCF is a fully analogue design and consists of two VCFs - highpass and lowpass in series and the filter management is done by complex CV routing.

CUTOFF
This is the main control of the module - manual cutoff frequency adjustment with a twist - it's fully open when the cutoff knob is set to 12:00. When turned counter-clockwise, lowpass filtering is applied and when turned clockwise, highpass filtering is initiated

RESONANCE
Adjust the resonance level manually. On settings over 1PM, the filter will start to self-oscillate. The resonance is incoming audio signal-sensitive - a signal of greater amplitude may reduce the impact of resonance on the resulting sound

Notes: Pico DSP is a small brother of the popular stereo effects processor Black Hole DSP. Notes: The Erica Synths Envelope Generator 2 is a re-triggerable, looping envelope generator with some unconventional features that are very useful for experimental setups. What sets the Black EG2 apart from other envelope generators is its optional GATE LENGTH setting, which allows for generating full ADSR envelopes even if a short trigger is used at the input. Likewise, in LOOP mode, the module outputs a full ADSR envelope instead of a classical AD envelope. The gate length is both manual and CV controlled, which allows for using this envelope generator in compact modular setups controlled by trigger sequencers only.

LOOP/SINGLE

Select between SINGLE SHOT or LOOP modes. When the internal gate is o , the rise and fall times are set via the A and R knobs. When the internal gate is on, all knobs have an e ect on the envelope shape.

The LED gives visual feedback on the envelope state.

Engage the internal gate and you have a full ADSR envelope in loop mode and with a trigger applied to the trigger input in single mode.

Due to the fact that cold tube heaters have lower resistance, Fusion modules have significant power consumption peak at startup, when power consumption almost doubles for 1-2 seconds. This is not a problem with linear PSUs that have power inertia, but may cause switching PSU internal protection turn off the power supply. Please make sure your PSU has some headroom before installing multiple Fusion modules.

Notes: Erica Synths Fusion Dual Mixer is designed to mix and overdrive audio signals on the vacuum tube.

Use the Fusion Mixer as two independent 3-input mixers (also for stereo signal mixing) or a 6-input mixer. Special feature of the Fusion Mixer - great tube overdrive effects when level knobs are set to 3 o'clock or above. When used with drum machines, it even emulates sidechain compressors. When used to mix signals from VCOs Fusion Mixer it works as waveshaper, especially, if pulse width modulated pulse signals is used in one of inputs.
