Two-way active studio monitor with powerful 8" woofer and 1" tweeter, 120 watts total power
Notes: Firm favourites from Yamaha, the HS8s are a solid choice for two-way active nearfield monitors, seen here in a slick white finish. Also available in black if you're not feeling brave enough for the white option.
The Yamaha HS8 Active Studio Monitor White is an affordable two-way powered speaker designed to deliver accurate and detailed sound production for recording, mixing and production.
The Yamaha HS8 follows in the footsteps of the legendary Yamaha NS10 which, can be found in most studios all around the world, and provides a pristine sound, critical to recording studio applications. The 120W bi-amplified speaker features an 8" woofer powered by a 75W amplifier and a 1" tweeter with 45W amplification delivering an extremely flat and accurate response.
The low resonance, bass reflex enclosure improves the cabinet's rigidity, reducing cabinet resonance and delivering a clear and uncoloured sound crucial for accurate mixing.
In addition, Yamaha have implemented a new technology that helps reduce the audible port noise by 6dB ensuring a tighter restitution of the crucial low-end without sacrificing power. The Yamaha HS8 also features Room Control, High Trim and Low Trim controls reducing room modes and imperfections.

Notes: The Yamaha HS5 is a new addition to Yamaha's HS series of active monitors, influenced by the critically acclaimed and highly sought after NS-10 studio monitor speakers.
The Yamaha HS5 Active Studio Monitor features biamped full range 2 way speakers rated at 45W and 25W and has been developed by Yamaha to offer an exceptionally flat and accurate frequency response for use in music production and composition as well as home project studios. The HS5 monitors' design has been informed by the tradition of the legendary NS10M monitors.
Yamaha HS5 speakers feature a low resonance bass reflex enclosure which improves the rigidity of the overall speaker, and less cabinet resonance means that the signal remains clear and uncoloured. This is very important in getting an accurate mix which translates across all systems.
Port noise has also been audibly reduced by up to 6dB using the new Yamaha proprietary technology in the HS5 studio monitors, which also helps to deliver a clean and precise signal. The HS5 is equipped with XLR and TRS jack connectors as well as room control and hi trim response controls.
Active 2 way monitors in white with 6.5" cone woofer and 1" dome tweeter unit
Notes: Everyone loves a white speaker cone, right? Firm favourites since their release in 2013, the HS7s are ideal for entry-level production use or as a monitor for home DJ setups.
Ever since the 1970's the iconic white woofer and signature sound of Yamaha's nearfield reference monitors have become a genuine industry standard for a reason - their accuracy. Unlike studio monitors with added bass or treble frequencies which may sound more flattering at first, HS Series speakers were designed to give you the most honest, precise reference possible, providing an ideal sonic platform to build on throughout the mixing process.
By combining acquired knowledge and expertise with state-of-the-art sound technologies, Yamaha's speaker engineering team have examined, then optimized, every aspect that has contributed to making these monitors the most trusted in the business. The second generation HS Series also adds a new 6.5" model to the lineup, bringing its exceptional accuracy to an even greater variety of recording environments.

Notes: Loosely inspired by the look of the classic NS10 studio monitors, Yamaha's HS range offers much more modern sound. Punchy low end and clear highs from this 6.5-inch model.
This second generation of 'HS' nearfield reference monitors, like their predecessors, share the same design philosophy as the legendary NS-10M studio monitors - Providing accurate signal reproduction and superior sonic performance.
The Yamaha HS7 employ a new, highly efficient tweeter providing an extended high frequency range up to 30KHz. The matching HS8S 150W powered subwoofer provides an extend bass when a well defined bottom end is required.
A low resonance enclosure built using a three way mitre joint technique ensures that the corners of the speaker are firmly anchored leading to dramatically improved durability and the elimination of unwanted resonances that can colour the original sound. Yamaha's 'Vortex Sound Control' technology is deployed to decrease unwanted airflows around the speaker ports. This in turn reduces audible noise by up to 6dB.
Notes: The distillation of Dynaudio's extensive speaker knowledge in a compact two-way nearfield design. Bass response as low as 45Hz thanks to DSP bass extension.
This monitor uses sophisticated DSP to extend or its curtail low-frequency response by 10Hz, while Position and Sound Balance controls let you fine-tune for total neutrality in your environment. Its larger 7in woofer helps extend bass, while the low-mass aluminium voice-coil, vented ferrite magnet and MSP driver take care of precision.
Notes: Great value mid-range monitor from a reliable brand. 5-inch version of the LYD range, bi-amped with advanced digital signal processing in the crossover. Ideal for small studio setups and DJ monitoring applications.
LYD 5, with its low-volume precision, is the ideal complement for any small studio set-up. It uses the same lightweight aluminium voice-coils in its handmade 5in MSP drive-units as our high-end hi-fi speakers, and pairs them with cutting-edge Class-D amplification as well as a 24-bit/96kHz signal path with advanced DSP.
Notes: Larger version of Dynaudio's clever LYD series, combining DSP features with the brand's extensive analogue knowledge to create a mid-priced studio monitor with great performance.
Precision, power- and properly honest reproduction. With a pair of LYD 8s taking charge of your music, you can be assured a pitch-perfect performance.
With its 8in MSP woofer and state-of-the-art DSP, LYD 8 provides the kind of performance, precision and bass heft that dreams (and maybe hit albums) are made of. Like the rest of the range, these nearfield monitors let you tune their sound for their position in the room, feature handmade drivers, and contain advanced Class-D amps.
