Cat: 777373 Rel: 07 Aug 20

Brainwave to synthesiser interface
Notes: Ever wanted to control your modular synth with your brainwaves? Of course you have. Here's the answer. Hook up a headset and exercise your mental powers for musical gain.

Supplier notes:
The first commercially available brainwave to synthesizer (both CV and MIDI) interface on the worldwide market.

By using the Neurosky Mindwave headset you can coax your brain activity to change every parameter of sound, light and video devices in your performance or studio.

Headset NOT included.

Soundmachines BI1 brainterface is an exploration and performance tool for musician, producers, actors, body performers and coreographers who wants to connect their mental and emotional sphere directly with the performance.

The BI1 does nort require the use of a computer, and brings immediacy and easy of operation in this upcoming technology.

By stressing the capabilities of the Neurosky MindWave Mobile headset, the BI1brainterface is developed to connect your mental status to your gear, in the most easy and open way possible.

Whenever you have an analog modular synthesizer or a MIDI sound generator, you can influence on sounds, sequences, timbres and drive the performance with an added controller, the most sophisticated: you.

Attention and Meditation are the most 'robust' and repeatable variables that you can count on. But also the EEG power spectrum bands (Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta and Theta) are available to control other eight sound/light/video characteristics. As a bonus, your toolbox has a variable threshold to generate a 'trigger' based on your facial muscular activities (i.e. blinking or grin).

In the studio or in a live environment, weared by a dancer or an actor on stage, or just use it to relax yourself and raise your self-consciousness about focus, relax and meditation.

Bio feedback is another field of operation for the BI1brainterface, reaching applications such as the several described above and more.

Doepfer A-130-8 Octal Linear VCA Module
Cat: 765896 Rel: 28 Jul 20

linear VCA module
Notes: Lots of functionality in a compact format thanks to Doepfer's typically smart approach. Eight linear VCAs with three mixers built in for good measure. Can be used for both audio and CV signals. Versatile.

Supplier notes:
Module A-130-8 contains eight linear voltage controlled amplifiers (VCAs). Each VCA features a control voltage input (CV), a signal input (In) and a signal output (Out). In addition three mixers are included: the socket labelled "1-4" outputs the sum of the VCAs 1-4, the socket labelled "5-8" outputs the sum of the VCAs 5-8, the socket labelled "1-8" outputs the sum of all eight VCAs.

The signal inputs are able to process levels up to 10Vpp without clipping. Each CV input is equipped with a trimming potentiometer that is used to adjust the sensitivity of the CV input in question. In the factory the module is adjusted for the CV range 1...+5V but can be re-adjusted by the user for other control voltage ranges (e.g. 0...+10V).

The amplification range for each single VCA is 0...1. The signals of the sum outputs have a lower amplification to avoid distortion.

The VCAs and mixers are fully DC coupled, i.e. the module can be used for the processing of both audio and control voltage signals. The control voltage and signal inputs can be normalled by means of small solder pads (e.g. 1 > 2 > 3 > 4 and so on, or 1 > 5, 2 > 6, 3 > 7, 4 > 8 for the stereo application mentioned below).

Typical applications:
any kind of VCA application (e.g. voltage controlled attenuation of audio or control voltage signals)
two voltage controlled mixers with four channels each
voltage controlled stereo mixer with four channels each, for this the control voltage inputs have to be correspondingly patched or internally normalled: CV1=CV5 /CV 2=CV6 / CV3=CV7 / CV4=CV8
voltage controlled mixer with eight channels
add-on for the planned Joystick module A-174-4

WMD Javelin Envelope Module WMD Javelin Envelope Module WMD Javelin Envelope Module
Cat: 784089 Rel: 15 Jul 20

Envlopemodule
Notes: Javelin is the envelope WMD have always needed to make. The best parts were taken from Multimode Envelope and combined them with the simplicity and convenience of an ADSR with integrated VCA. The tricks learned from live performance, and use of other awesome synthesizers, were put all together to create the ultimate Eurorack envelope.

Javelin starts out as a simple ADSR envelope. 3 level ranges have been added, giving you control over the envelope's overall amplitude. Next, 3 time ranges allow for quick switching of the feel of the envelope. These ranges were carefully designed to work with each other, making the switch a fun and playable part of the interface. Short and snappy, long and drawn out (max 88 minutes per stage with 5V in a stage's CV input), the Javelin will suit any style of music or playing style.

Expression is key. The addition of Accent and Choke inputs make for very interesting sequences that are just a couple gates away.

The Accent behavior is incredibly unique. Multiple consecutive gates while the Accent input is high cause the envelope to climb a bit higher with each gate, causing whatever you are controlling to accent a bit harder on each next gate. When controlling a filter, this creates a sound that can be personified with breathing, laughing, screaming, or crying, and is the key to the perfect, funky, acid style bass line. This behavior can also be disabled if you prefer a static Accent level.

As if that's not enough, the Accent input is actually a CV input which lets you use CV to effect the amount of accent with intention. 3 different accent ranges let you choose the maximum amount that the envelope will accent to. Complete control!

Reset lets you stop the envelope in it's tracks with a gate signal. This is great for using long envelope times for some steps and cutting them off for others without the need for another CV channel. However, Attack and Release also have CV inputs can can be sequenced externally. Release CV can even be routed to control Decay and Release simultaneously, a common control scheme in vintage style synthesizer envelopes.

Combining all of these methods of control on Javelin let you pinpoint the sound you are after. An absolute joy to work with.

Behringer 911A Dual Trigger Delay Module Behringer 911A Dual Trigger Delay Module Behringer 911A Dual Trigger Delay Module
Cat: 773000 Rel: 19 Jun 20

dual trigger delay module
Notes: Enter the Behringer 911A DUAL TRIGGER DELAY. An authentic reproduction of the circuitry from the Modular 55 series used by the world's most famous pop, rock and jazz musicians. Now you can build your very own, unique synthesizer that can fit in a standard Eurorack case for a very affordable price. Mix and match with specific modules to customize your synth and complement the genre of music you play or go all out and have a room filled from floor to ceiling with modules that'll fulfill any synth geek's wildest dreams.

The 911A comes with two delay triggers with their own delay time controls ranging from 2 ms up to 10 seconds and their own 3.5 mm S-Trig ins and outs. Connect the 911A to the Behringer 911 ENVELOPE GENERATOR module and turn your Attack/Decay/Sustain/Release (ADSR) module into a Delay/Attack/Decay/Sustain/Release (DADSR) module. Rather than just playing the note when the signal is triggered, the 911A creates a nice volume swell effect, rising from 0 until the peak volume then going through the rest of the phases set in the envelope generator.

The delays in the 911A can be coupled in three different ways. In the Off setting, the delays are triggered separately via the trigger inputs. In Parallel mode, the trigger connected to the input at the top section will activate both delays at the same time. Switching the knob to Series will trigger the top section first then the lower section after.

Installing the 911A is simple as it was designed to fit into a standard Eurorack case. Just connect the power cables to the power supply and screw in the module using the included screws. This allows for the 911A to be mixed with other synth modules for a truly unique set up.

Doepfer A-133-2 Dual Voltage Controlled VCA/Polarizer/Inverter/Ring Modulator Module
Cat: 765897 Rel: 28 Jul 20

VCA/polarizer/inverter/ring modulator module
Notes: A-133-2 is the slim version of the A-133 but has some additional features and improvements available compared to the A-133.

Module A-133-2 can be used for a lot of applications: as a simple VCA, or a voltage controlled polarizer/attuverter, or a voltage controlled inverter up to a DC coupled ring modulator. In principle the module contains two special voltage controlled amplifiers (VCAs) that allow both positive and negative amplification.

The overall amplification is definded by the sum of the voltage generated by the Man control, the external control voltage CV and the position of the CV control which works as an attenuator for the external control voltage. Without external CV the amplification is +1 when the Man control is fully CW. In the center position the amplification is zero and fully CCW it's -1 (i.e. the incoming signal is inverted). By means of the external control voltage CV the manually adjusted amplification can be modulated. CV can be both positive or negative (i.e. bipolar) to obtain positive or negative amplification values controlled by the external CV.

In addition the CV signal can be modulated via the modulation control input Mod by means of another control voltage. The Mod socket is normalled to +5V, i.e. a constant positive voltage is used as modulation CV provided that no plug is inserted into the Mod socket.

The current amplification is displayed by a dual color LED (note: it's not a signal display but indicates the amplification, probably yellow = positive amplification, red = negative amplification)
Application examples:
voltage controlled amplifier (VCA) with pure positive overall amplification (Man + CV)
voltage controlled inverter with pure negative overall amplification (Man + CV)
voltage controlled polarizer/attuverter overall amplification changing between positive and negative (Man + CV)
DC coupled ring modulator with offset feature, the "classical" ring modulator corresponds to Man=0 and symmetrical audio signals for In and CV
additional effects by means of the modulation feature of the CV signal (using the Mod input)

oscillator controller module
Notes: Enter the Behringer CP3A-O OSCILLATOR CONTROLLER module. An authentic reproduction of the circuitry from the Modular 55 and 35 series mixers used by the world's most famous pop, rock and jazz musicians. Now musicians can build their very own, unique, synthesizer that can fit in a standard Eurorack case for a very affordable price. Befaco CV Thing Voltage Controlled MIDI Controller Module
Cat: 775217 Rel: 08 Jul 20

MIDI controller module
Notes: A 6 HP version of the VCMC module. Simpler, less connectivity but all the flexibility and power from VCMC.

It's the exact same concept as the VCMC in that you pump in CV and control MIDI gear or your DAW and software instruments but in a much smaller package. The faders and buttons have been droppws and just give you 8 CV inputs, a big white knob and that rather nice little screen. The MIDI connections are taken care of by a TRS socket and USB for direct connection to a computer.

Essentially, you've lost the manual controls over MIDI gear that the faders and buttons provided and are just going straight with triggers, notes or modulation.

Each of the 8 CV inputs can be mapped to any MIDI message or controller number, note or event. You can send clock, program changes, note on/off and everything you'd expect in MIDI. It's a pretty great way of connecting your modular to your external instruments or software while keeping the control in the Eurorack rather than ceding control to the DAW. And if you prefer things the other way around then Befaco also makes a MIDI Thing MIDI-to-CV interface.

Eurorack module
Notes: The Afterneath Eurorack Module brings the Otherworldly sounds from the effects pedal world right into your modular synthesizer with an expanded feature set. The Afterneath module features one main audio input, one main audio output, an audio send and return for the Reflect feedback path, and nine controls. Four of the parameters are controllable via CV, and each has been equipped with a dedicated attenuverter to process the incoming CV. The Afterneath module has a completely analog dry signal path and a totally digital wet signal path.

1. Input: Adjusts the level of the incoming signal to allow for signals ranging from instrument-level (clockwise) to modular-level (counterclockwise).

2. Dampen: Controls the tone of the wet signal. Clockwise for darker tones, counterclockwise for brighter tones.

3. Reflect: Controls the regeneration of the reverb, turn clockwise for more wash and echoes, counterclockwise for less. This will self-oscillate if turned up high. Acts as an attenuator when there is a signal patched into the Reflect Return jack.

4. Mix: Controls the amount of wet signal that is mixed with the dry signal. Though it does not actually go completely wet, you can achieve a fully wet signal by engaging the Dry Kill switch.

5. Dry Kill: Eliminates the dry signal from the output, leaving only the wet signal.

6. Drag: This digital reverb is made up of a bunch of short delays, Drag separates the delay lines creating a stuttering, pingy effect. This is the coolest control on the Afterneath; we highly advise slowly turning (or modulating) this while you let notes ring out for a cool warped speed effect. The effect is more delay-like as you turn it counterclockwise, and it is more reverb-like as you turn it clockwise. You will achieve shorter delay times as you move the control clockwise, and longer delay times when you turn the control counterclockwise. You will notice a change in pitch when adjusting this control with sound present in the effects buffer, or when the effect is self-oscillating.

7. Mode: Controls the behavior of the Drag control as well as how it responds to control voltage. There are 9 different modes (see the following Modes section for explanations).

8. Diffuse: Smooths and diffuses the delay repeats. Sharper transients with more attack counterclockwise, more ambient, reverb-like and washy as you turn it clockwise.

9. Length: Controls the decay length of the reverb.

10. Mode LED: Visually indicates the current mode.

11. Drag CV Attenuverter: Attenuates or inverts the incoming CV. The CV is at unity gain when the attenuator is fully clockwise, inverted when it is fully counterclockwise and the CV is completely attenuated when the attenuator is in the 12 o'clock position.

12. Mode CV Attenuverter: Attenuates or inverts the incoming CV. The CV is at unity gain when the attenuator is fully clockwise, inverted when it is fully counterclockwise and the CV is completely attenuated when the attenuator is in the 12 o'clock position.

13. Diffuse CV Attenuverter: Attenuates or inverts the incoming CV. The CV is at unity gain when the attenuator is fully clockwise, inverted when it is fully counterclockwise and the CV is completely attenuated when the attenuator is in the 12 o'clock position.

14. Length CV Attenuverter: Attenuates or inverts the incoming CV. The CV is at unity gain when the attenuator is fully clockwise, inverted when it is fully counterclockwise and the CV is completely attenuated when the attenuator is in the 12 o'clock position.

15. Drag CV Input: Allows modulation of the Drag control using external CV.

16. Mode CV Input: Allows modulation of the Mode control using external CV.

17. Diffuse CV Input: Allows modulation of the Diffuse control using external CV.

18. Length CV Input: Allows modulation of the Length control using external CV.

19. Audio Input: Accepts audio signals ranging from instrument-level to modular-level, using the Input knob to adjust the level.

20. Reflect Send: Allows external patching and processing of the Reflect feedback path. Patching from this output does not interrupt the internal feedback path.

21. Reflect Return: Allows return of the externally patched and processed Reflect feedback path. Also, it can be used as an additional audio input if you wish to forgo the feedback. The Reflect knob acts as an attenuator for the audio that is patched to this input. Please note that processing of the Reflect feedback path can easily result in self-oscillation when processing with effects such as distortion or a resonant filter. The Reflect knob can be used to compensate for this factor. Patching a cable to this input will disconnect the internal feedback path, but the Reflect Send will still be active.

22. Audio Output.

Doepfer A-183-4 Quad Level Shifter Module
Cat: 765895 Rel: 28 Jul 20

Level shifter module
Notes: Module A-183-4 is a fourfold level shifter. A level shifter is required if the level of a digital control signal has to be increased or decreased. A typical application is the conversion of a gate, trigger or clock signal with +5V voltage level (tolerance range +2...+5V) to +12 voltage level. The output voltage level can be set by means of a jumper to +12V or +5V. The factory setting is +12V. But it can be changed to convert also a higher to a lower level (e.g. +12V to +5V). But this application is required rarely. The output level setting by means of the jumper is global, i.e. it is valid for all four units and cannot be set individually for each unit. The four output signals are displayed by means of LEDs.

The outputs and inputs of the four sub-units are normalled via the switching contacts of the input sockets, i.e. the output signal of the upper unit is used as input signal of the unit below provided that no patch cable is inserted into the input socket of the lower unit. That way the module can be used also as clock/trigger/gate buffer or buffered multiple for digital signals. For this the signal that has to be buffered is connected to input 1. The buffered (and possible level shifted) signal appears then at all four outputs.
Voltage thresholds for the input voltages:
voltages below +0,8 V are treated as "low"
voltages above +3 V are treated as "high"

Typical applications:

Converting the levels of digital control signals (e.g. gate, trigger, clock) to another voltage level (+12V or +5V)
buffering and duplicating digital control signals (e.g. gate, trigger, clock)

Important note: the module cannot be used for analog signals.

Klavis Flexshaper CV Controlled Voltage Mapper & Waveshaper Module
Cat: 767382 Rel: 15 Jul 20

Controlled voltage mapper & waveshaper module
Notes: The Flexshaper is a highly versatile module when it comes to modify evolving voltages in other directions and levels.

Five settings allow you to fold/expand/clip/compress/invert partially or completely any CV or audio signal.

The module can act as an envelope-shaping tool, frequency multiplier, waveshaper, clipper, distortion, limiter, curve changer, and more.

Five CV inputs offer limitless control over the placement of the voltage points for dynamic signal sculpting.

The idea of the Flexshaper comes from a feature in the Oberheimr Matrix synthesizers called Tracking Generator.

This signal processor was part of the modulation matrix and meant to be virtually inserted between modulation sources and destinations in order to change the shape of the controlling signal.

The Flexshaper applies the same concept using the same 5 shaping points. However, it goes beyond Oberheim's implementation on two main aspects:
It goes fast enough to process signals at full audio rate.
The 5 points are dynamically adjustable (CV) in real-time.

Besides, the Flexshaper can process adequately bipolar and unipolar Eurorack signals, even chnging them one another.

Sound Machines LS1 Lightstrip Module
Cat: 777222 Rel: 30 Jun 20

control voltage generator module
Notes: Fingered Control Voltage Generator, CV-enabled Motion Recorder, Voltage Wiggler.

The LS1 is a capacitive technology slider that will generate CV and GATE signals along with the movement of your finger on its surface.

LIVE Mode

Each time your fingers touches the slider surface a voltage is sent out the CV jack and the relevant GATE signal is also put out. Pair this with a quantizer and, you know..... The LEDs on the side of the slider will light up as the voltage output changes.

HOLD Mode

Without having your finger on the slider, press the rec/mode capacitive buttton. The rec/mode LED will light solid. Same as above but the CV value is held when you whitdraw your finger. Instant control surface for VCFs, VCAs and any other CV controllable stuff in your modular! Tap on the rec/mode again to back up to LIVE mode! The LEDs on the side of the slider will light up as the voltage output changes.

REC Mode

When you have your finger (steady or moving)already on the slider, by pressing the rec/mode capacitive button you START recording the movements on the slider. When you stop pressing the button (or you exceeds 8 seconds) the output will start 'playing' in loop what you recorded. The LED on the rec/mode button will blink fast during the recording and slower during the playback phase. If you operate again on the slider the output will be overridden with you physical intervention but the 'timing' won't be lost. To end the PLAY phase just tap on the rec/mode button again. The LEDs on the side of the slider will light up as the voltage output changes.

OPTIONS:

For each of those modes you can choose (via jumpers on the back) the CV range (0-5V or 0-10V), the orientation of the module (upside down anyone???? you possibly would like to choose where your jacks are!!!), the mode of RECORDING, internal or external (the GATE output in this case doubles as a REC button trigger, permitting you to 'sync' with some cosmic rhythm...). When the LS1 is in External GATE mode (set by the jumper on the back), regardless of whatever state you are (obviously either LIVE and HOLD will not act on the GATE signal!) the module will record the finger position as long as the GATE input is HIGH (max 5V) and will loop the recorded values as soon as the GATE became LOW again. If GATE lenght exceeds the maximum available time, the loop phase starts automatically.

Tiptop Audio Trigger Riot Sequencer Module (white faceplate)
Cat: 783681 Rel: 28 Jul 20

Sequencer module
Notes: Complex trigger sequencing made much more simple thanks to Tiptop Audio. All-round approach functions as master clock, gate generator and more. Huge creative potential.

Supplier notes:
The Trigger Riot is a multipurpose trigger module that makes ultra complex patterns of gates triggers and clock pulses. The Riot covers a lot of ground in any Eurorack system from the master clocking for your entire system to algorithmic generation of pulses for envelopes, step sequencers, drums and accents that can venture into highly complex territory driven by simple yet powerful logic and algebra with a dash of pseudo randomness for some unpredictable results.

The user interface allows a great deal of control over pulses with each knob acting as a clock divider, clock multiplier, step injector, time shifter, clock shifter, pulse-width modulator, and an arithmetic probability processor. Now take that control and multiply it by 16 and feed it into 8 outputs for maximum Trigger Riot madness!

Furthermore the interface features a master clock knob, push switches to mute unmute and select rows, and multiple switches to configure, adjust, create loops and save your work for later recall from memory banks.

Trigger Riot integrates nicely in the studio with non-volatile memory, generous synchronization options with external gear including sample accurate sync with DAWs, smart synchronization to other Tiptop modules using SyncBus, and DIN Sync for vintage gear. A precise internal tempo clock generator with tap tempo and BeatSync to manage precise changes round out the features.

Mix and match specific modules to create your personal, unique synth to complement the music you play or go all out and fill a room, from floor to ceiling, with modules that'll fulfill any synth geek's wildest dream.

The 962 is used as a latch, shifter and signal selector. Depending on the number of input jacks plugged into the module, the 962 can alternate between two or three signal inputs. It can also be used to expand the Behringer 960 SEQUENTIAL CONTROLLER from an 8-step sequencer up to a 24-step sequencer.

The 962 SEQUENTIAL SWITCH features 3-channel V-Trig inputs for selecting CV input channels and separate V-Trig outputs per channel. Triggers from other modules can be connected via 3.5 mm cables and can be manually selected with the Trigger buttons.

The SIG IN jacks are what allow the 962 to alternate between inputs. Connect an input signal to input 1 or 2 and the 962 will alternate between these two inputs. If all three inputs are used, then the module will automatically alternate between the three stages.

Installing the 962 SEQUENTIAL SWITCH is simple as it was designed to fit into a standard Eurorack case. Just connect the power cables to the power supply and screw in the module using the included screws. This allows for the 962 SEQUENTIAL SWITCH to be mixed with other synth modules for a truly unique set up.

Erica Synths Fusion Ring Modulator V2 Fusion Series Module
Cat: 780432 Rel: 23 Jun 20

Fusion series module
Notes: Erica Synths Fusion Ring Modulator - a classic design ring modulator with germanium diode ring + vacuum tube to boost and shape audio and carrier signals.

Germanium diodes enrich the sound by adding extra harmonic content meanwhile vacuum tube adds evilish overdrive to audio and carrier signals. As a result you get one of the most versatile ringmodulators around!

All Fusion modules by default are configured to work with regular eurorack PSU.

Configurable power supply - standard eurorack +-12V conection OR eurorack +-12V plus Erica Synths Tube heater PSU

Due to the fact that cold tube heaters have lower resistance, Fusion modules have significant power consumption peak at startup, when power consumption almost doubles for 1-2 seconds. This is not a problem with linear PSUs that have power inertia, but may cause switching PSU internal protection turn off the power supply. Please make sure your PSU has some headroom before installing multiple Fusion modules.

Specifications:

Input signal level: up to 20V ptp
Output signal level: 10V ptp

Flame QSlider Quad Control Voltage Source Module
Cat: 781481 Rel: 26 Jun 20

Voltage source module
Notes: The QSlider is an analog CV source with four 60 mm faders.

The control range of the four sliders can be set with two min/max controls.

The Min control sets the output voltage at zero position of the slider and the Max control sets the output voltage at the end position of the slider. The slider now controls between these two voltages. This allows you to limit the control range and still have the full control range of the slider available.

At a second output socket the inverted voltage is available (Min and Max are reversed). So the slider can also be used as a crossmix fader.

Two common channels can be operated uni- or bipolar. The voltage ranges are 0..+10V or +/- 5V.

The output sockets are located on an extra 4HP panel for mounting at any place (with approx. 40cm long connection cable). This way several modules can be mounted seamlessly next to each other.

Frequency Central Cryptograf Analogue Sequencer Module
Cat: 782270 Rel: 10 Jul 20

Analogue sequencer module
Notes: Cryptograf is a 4 bit to 16 step addressable analogue sequencer. Each of it's 16 steps can be addressed in any order for ultimate creative flexibility.

Cryptograf pairs nicely with Polygraf; together they make a powerful combination for prepared - yet also improvisational - melodic sequences.

Cryptograf features 4 address inputs, 1, 2, 4 and 8, each of which has an associated input socket as well as a 3 position state switch which allows each address input to be held high, respond to input signals, or held low.

Each input has two status LEDs. The red LED displays the signal present at the input socket, while the green LED displays the status of the address input.

The combination of signals present at the input sockets, together with the positions of the state switches allows Cryptograf to have 16 different output states, numbered from 0 through to 15.

The output state of Cryptograf can be ascertained by observing which of the 4 address inputs are high. So, for example:
if no green status LEDs are on, Cryptograf is in output state 0
if green status LED 4 is on, Cryptograf is in output state 4
if green status LEDs 1, 2 and 4 are on, Cryptograf is in output state 7
if green status LEDs 2 and 8 are on, Cryptograf is in output state 10
...and so forth.

Each output state has an associated LED and potentiometer. The potentiometer can be set to a desired voltage which will then be present at the CV output whenever Cryptograf is in that particular output state.
Additionally, there is a master range switch for determining the voltage range of all the output states, either high (...), or low (...).

The input sockets may be addressed by various external modules, for example:
FC Pocket Calculator, FC High Towers, or similar clock dividers with multiple outputs from other manufacturers.
FC Polygraf or similar grid editors from other manufacturers.
FC Touch Me Here or similar momentary or latched manual gate modules

Polygraf is recommended as the most flexible way to address Cryptograf, they were designed to be together and share a deep and enduring love for each other. This successful partnership allows Cryptograf to be addressed in many ways, for example:
Forwards from 0 through to 15
Backwards from 15 through to 0
by repeating rows, or by repeating columns
Asequentially, in any order you choose

As Polygraf is capable of storing many user patterns which themselves are selectable by CV, multiple chained patterns are possible. Furthermore, users will discover their own unique combinations of FC and third party modules to address Cryptograf, always bearing in mind that at any time the status of any of the 4 input sockets may be overridden by the 4 state switches.
Latch function
Cryptograf may be latched manually via the Latch toggle switch, or externally via the Latch input. When Cryptograf is latched, the last output state to go high is held until Cryptograf is unlatched. Additionally, when latched, the clock output is held low.
Clock input / clock output
Cryptograf does not require a clock input to function, nor does it contain an internal clock. The clock input/clock output circuit can be thought of as a 'clock thru' with a couple of useful additions:
Incoming clocks or LFOs are comparated and outputted as square waves
Clock output is held low when Cryptograf is latched
By sending a clock through Cryptograf, and utilising the latch input, legato notes may be programmed by use of external modules.

Frequency Central Chronograf Event Generator Module
Cat: 782267 Rel: 10 Jul 20

Event generator module
Notes: Chronograf is a super flexible one-shot and cyclic event generator. It can be used as an envelope generator, LFO, or master clock.

Chronograf features Start/Reset and Stop momentary switches, each with associated control inputs, as well as a tap tempo momentary switch. A toggle switch selects between one-shot and cyclic modes. Four knobs are available to set Tempo, Waveform, Multiplier and Function. There is another toggle switch to select whether changes to Multiplier happen immediately or at the start of the next clock cycle.

Chronograf has 5 outputs:
LFO out
180 out (same as LFO out but 180- out of phase)
Clock out
Start cycle out (Clock divided by Multiplier)
Reset out (momentarily goes high whenever Start/Reset or Stop is pressed)

Waveform selection is chosen by a combination of Waveform and Function knobs. In this way (arguably) 64 waveforms can be selected.

Frequency Central Seismograf BD Bass Drum Module
Cat: 782279 Rel: 13 Jul 20

Bass drum module
Notes: Seismograf is a PIC based drum module featuring coding by Jetroid. There is currently a choice of two PICs which may be used with Seismograf, 'BD' and 'SD'. As you might expect, BD contains a range of 8 bass drums, while SD contains a range 8 of snare drums. The drum sounds are 10 bit encodings of some of our Frequency Central's favourite electronic kits from yesteryear. It is not possible for the user to load their own sounds onto Seismograf PICs, but there is a chance that we may release alternative drum sets as the years roll (!) by.

Select
This knob is used to select one of the 8 sounds to be triggered. It has a CV input associated with it, and when a jack is inserted into the CV input, the knob is used to attenuate the incoming control voltage. This CV input responds to 0V to 5V signals.

Tune
This knob may be used to detune the drum sound either upwards or downwards. It has a CV input associated with it, and when a jack is inserted into the CV input, the knob is used to attenuate the incoming control voltage. This CV input responds to 0V to 5V signals.

Distort
This knob may be used to introduce either one of two different types of distortion to your chosen drum sound. When set to the mid position (12 o'clock) no distortion is present. Turning the knob anti-clockwise will cause the sound to be progressively clipped harder, while turning the knob clockwise will cause the sound to be progressively more bitcrushed. This knob has a CV input associated with it, and when a jack is inserted into the CV input, the knob is used to attenuate the incoming control voltage. This CV input responds to 0V to 5V signals.

Secret Sauce
Try running the sawtooth output of an audio rate VCO into Seismograf's trigger input, then wiggle the Tune knob manually, or apply a control voltage to the Tune input. Seismograf almost acts like a filter, probably more akin to oscillator sync. As the incoming trigger is so fast, Seismograf only gets to play the initial part of it's waveform, less on high notes, more on low notes. Additionally, there is naturally higher frequency content the higher the note and so forth. Whatever's going on, it sounds freaking awesome. More than just a drum module, right?

Frequency Central Stasis Leak DSP Effects Module
Cat: 782283 Rel: 13 Jul 20

DSP effects module
Notes: Stasis Leak is a 6HP 48kHz DSP effects module, providing a choice of stereo chorus, stereo plate reverb and tap tempo delay. Stasis Leak is based around a Belton ABE-FX sub board, which in turn is based around a Coolaudio V1000 chip.

Time control
This knob controls a different function for each of the three effects (see chart at bottom). It is also associated with its own CV input, and when a jack is inserted into the CV input, the knob serves to attenuate incoming control voltages. This CV input responds to 0V to 5V signals.

Density control
This knob controls a different function for each of the three effects (see chart at bottom). It is also associated with its own CV input, and when a jack is inserted into the CV input, the knob serves to attenuate incoming control voltages. This CV input responds to 0V to 5V signals.

Tone control
This knob works on each of the three different effects as a simple lowpass filter, cutting the highs in the effected signal, and helping to provide definition between the dry and wet signal.

Wet control
This knob controls the amount of effected signal that is mixed with the dry signal. Dry is always 100%. On the rear of the module there is a Dry Lift jumper, this can come in useful when Stasis Leak is used in a send/return effects loop.

Tap/Sync In
These functions only apply to the delay effect, where they may be used to set the delay time, either manually, or via an incoming clock.

Left Out/Right Out
These two outputs may be used in conjuction for full stereo outputs of the chorus and reverb effects. The delay effect is mono, and either of the outputs may be used. For best results when using the chorus in a mono signal path, the left and right signals, which are 90o out of phase with each other, should be combined using a small mixer such and Process 26 or Volts Platz.

Frequency Central Monograf Synthesiser Module
Cat: 782271 Rel: 13 Jul 20

Synthesiser module
Notes: 20HP hardwired synth voice for fast set up times, with a decidedly East Coast feel.

Monograf is a fixed signal path monophonic synth voice with many unique features, including a number of patch points for flexibilty within a modular setting. Our aim was to design the simplest full featured and good sounding single VCO synth within as small a space as possible, while offering a broad sonic palette and fast setup times. Monograf includes the following elements:

Onboard LFO for PWM, and onboard sub osc for thick and juicy synth lines

Super stable AS3340 based VCO featuring sawtooth, triangle and square waveforms, as well as rotary switch control of octaves and an onboard LFO for PWM. Features highly accurate 1V/octave tracking, as well as extenal CV control of linear FM.

Sub oscillator featuring -1 octave and -2 octave square waveforms. Add a big bottom to your sound.

5 toggle switches for fast waveform selection, allows for super quick changes. Additionally, the triangle waveform is routed directly to the VCA, bypassing the VCF, to maintain a rumbling low end with higher resonance settings, this is a little known modular trick which was practised by the ancients.

12dB/octave OTA lowpass VCF based upon ARP Odyssey Mk1 'whiteface'. A very characterful VCF with cutting resonance whose audio inputs can be driven into clipping via a dedicated Drive control. The chosen level of drive can have a profound effect over the character of the filter, and heavy drive will saturate the input while simultaneously reducing resonance. Cutoff frequency can be controlled manually, from the LFO, from the ADSR, normalised from a 1V/oct source, or from an external CV.

Vintage ARP style VCA with gated/ADSR/drone options via two toggle switches.

AS3310 based ADSR for super snappy envelopes. CV control of envelope output is available for velocity controlled dynamics etc.

Frequency Central Little Melody Generative Sequencer Module (B-STOCK)
Cat: 785088 Rel: 07 Jul 20

B-STOCK: Slight surface marks
Notes: ***B-STOCK: Slight surface marks ***

Little Melody is a generative sequencer based around clock divisions and a chromatic quantiser, used to create in-the-moment licks and riffs. It is more that the sum of its parts.

Little Melody's internal operations can be considered as 4 clock dividers patched into a CV mixer via attenuators. The attenuators select notes over a 5 octave range, the clock dividers determine how often those notes are added to the mix. The final output of Little Melody is quantized chromatically for fast set up and continuously pleasing results.
The 4 clock dividers are labelled A, B, C, and D. They all receive clocks from the same source, the divisions may be selected using the presets and the individual division selectors. The clock dividers can be set to count up, down, or to one of a variety of modes that move between counting up and down..

Studio Electronics Boomstar Modular Amp Module
Cat: 655797 Rel: 14 Jul 20

Analog amplifier module in Eurorack format - 8HP
Notes: The amplifier (AMP) is a 2 stage Class A discrete design using 3 pairs of hand matched transistors. Envelope is usually applied to ST1/1. ST1/2 goes thru an attenuverter and can be used for envelope or modulation. ST2/1 goes to the 2nd stage, and is typically used for volume control. ST2/2 goes thru an attenuverter and is typically used for modulation.

The AMP, the 5089, and the 3003 are Class A circuits. They draw more current from the +12 rail than from the -12 volt rail. If the system power supply is under-sized, hum or buzz may be heard. In that case, larger filter capacitors and/or a larger power transformer will be needed. The 4075 draws equally from both rails, and is more immune to hum. Like our filters Boomstar Modular AMPs are hand-built entirely in the U. S. of A - just ask Rachael Herbison!

Potentiometer Potential:
Two attenuverters and two attenuation pots control the INPUT, ST1 CV2, ST2 CV2, and OUTPUT, delivering smooth, detailed, and complex expression.

Switch it Up:
Uber useful continuous hypnotic DRONE for endless sustain/release, and DRIVE - the overdrive circuit from the Boomstar desktop - for last stage energy, bite, soft clipping, and gonzo '70's era "Distortion Plus" crunchy fuzz.

Patch it Up:

Studio Electronics Boomstar Modular Sci Fi Module
Cat: 655848 Rel: 14 Jul 20

Ring modulator, noise generator & sample-and-hold generator module
Notes: SCI FI is an ingeniously vintage-circuit-inspired Richard Nicol/Pittsburgh Modular original - jump cut to Mattechmodular to see just how much fun can be wrung out of it!

As the reader might already know, ring modulation is a signal-processing electronic function: an implementation of amplitude modulation or frequency mixing, performed by multiplying two signals. This beloved other-worldly, warm, and at times clangourous colouring dates at least as far back to Bode's Melochord of 1947 technology, which was ultimately licensed to Robert Moog in the early 1960s. Of course analog maestros Don Buchla, and Lord Tom Oberheim made their indelible marks, with circuitry culminating - to our ears - in the brilliantly rhythmic, and wildly expressive Yamaha CS-80 Ringmod's sonic alchemy and "Electone" informed controls.

Back at the Modstar Ranch: The SCI FI's outputted ring-modulated signal is the sum and difference of the frequencies present in each waveform - a signal rich in partials - often producing a haunting, bell-like, metallic, and sometimes softly grinding, understated modulation awash in harmonic and non-harmonic tones. S.E. brought its own brand of dynamic ModMax Pedal-flavoured Ringmod to the world in 2002.

SCI FI is getting better all the time with its companion LFO FREQ (low frequency oscillator), true analog PINK, and digital WHITE noise, S & H - a true sample and hold generator, with RANGE control, and LAG generator - a slew limiter which craftily smooths out changes in audio or modulation signals: higher values = smoother signal flowing. This module is every bit as creamy sounding as it is electrically charged: the higher frequencies coat the sound with a sparkling quality one wouldn't naturally expect, but it is a welcome sound indeed.

Potentiometer Potential:
Six attenuation pots: RING MOD, LFO FREQ, WHITE, PINK, RANGE, and LAG.

Patch it Up:
Seven patch points: RM X IN, RM Y IN, GATE, SOURCE, RM OUT, WHITE, PINK, and S & H OUT.

All Controls and Patch Points:
RING MOD - Adjusts the ring mod depth.
LFO FREQ - Adjusts the rate of the sample & hold.
WHITE - Adjusts the white noise level.
PINK - Adjusts the pink noise level.
RANGE - Adjusts the sample & hold depth or intensity.
LAG - Adjusts the sample and hold lag or slew limiting (glide): in the circuit after the sample & hold and before the range attenuator.
RM X IN - Ring Mod X waveform input.
RM Y IN - Ring Mod Y waveform input.
GATE - External gate input for sample & hold.
SOURCE - External audio/CV input for sample & hold.
RM OUT - Ring Mod output.
WHITE - White noise output.
PINK - Pink noise output - the pink noise is normalled to the source input of the sample & hold.
S & H OUT - Sample & hold output.
