Notes: These are the same high-quality inner sleeves that MOFI use for their most-prized vinyl releases. They are imported, three-ply, anti-static, premium sleeves (similar to rice paper) and work with both LPs and laser discs.

Back construction consists of a paper layer sandwiched between two sheets of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with a translucent HDPE front.

These custom-designed inner sleeves protect against all common problems associated with regular sleeves of all types, such as scratching, static build-up and contamination etc.

Your records are irreplaceable, these sleeves will guarantee they last a lifetime.

Notes: Paper sleeves leave dust on the record and poly ethylene sleeves cling to the record. When removing the record from the sleeve, the poly ethylene generates a static charge which attracts the sleeve to the record and causes the dust caught between the sleeve and the record to scratch the record. The world famous Nagaoka Discfile no: 102 is anti-static and super slippery thus leaving the record completely unharmed.

Notes: The classic SL-1200 is one of the first covers Decksaver ever manufactured. Technics stopped producing the lids for these thoroughbred decks shortly after they were discontinued, meaning that there would be thousands of turntables out there with little or no protection.

Meanwhile, the 1200 (and 1210) has remained an extremely popular item on the second-hand circuit, becoming perhaps one of the most sought-after pieces of discontinued music equipment, especially the limited edition models, which exchange hands for eye-watering amounts.

Despite its rugged and heavy-duty characteristics which earned the turntable it's reliable "workhorse" reputation, it must be noted that the elements of the topside of the device are still relatively delicate, and can be prone to damage if not handled properly.

The tonearm can be damaged fairly easily, and replacing it can be an awkward process. Whilst it is feasible to replace the tonearm, it requires a degree of skill and can be cumbersome. What makes the process even more difficult, is that individual tonearms are increasingly rare, and it is often more economically viable just to replace the entire unit, rendering the old unit useless.

The platter, while sturdy, can also be damaged through enough pressure, which can damage the delicate mechanical components underneath. The switches and buttons, while comparatively tough compared to other models on the market, can also be broken easily through accidental damage.

This Technics turntable cover fits the 1200, 1210 and similar models, such as the Pioneer DJ PLX-CRSS12 and PLX-1000 perfectly. The form fit allows them to fit easily into a gig bag or other ancillary equipment case, whilst the simple push fit design shields the tonearm from accidental damage whilst making allowances for cables, so your turntable can sit ready for operation.

Over the years, these covers have saved tens of thousands of Technics turntables from the scrapyard. Without them, who knows how much rarer the 1210s would be today?

Notes: During the past 20 years the quality of record players and vinyl records have improved dramatically.
Acoustic feedback is one of the big problems when playing records. The cause is the sound that has just been produced by the speakers which comes back to the record player and cause it to vibrate. The problems is that there is a very slight time difference between the reproduced sound and the sound that is fed back onto the record player. This results in a big loss of detail and clarity and makes the sound "muddy". So every effort has to be done to isolate the record player from its surroundings as well as to isolate the record from the record player.

In order to reduce acoustic feedback from the surroundings back to the record and the cartridge a lot of effort has gone into developing turntable mats that make the reproduced sound crystal clear with great separation and detail. This has been done by experimenting with various materials which absorb unwanted vibrations which were not present in the original recording. Now many people are trying to combine these different materials as a sandwich at the same time in order to reach better results. Now Tonar offers you this opportunity to experiment yourself but at modest pricing.

In order to enhance the better contact between the record and the mat, the center part - with the dimensions of the label have been recessed to accommodate the thicker label part.
