Review: Jeroen Search is having a big year. He's dropped fine EPs on Sinxergy, External Friction and Reclaim Your City and now his long-player Controlled Impulses comes to set an even higher benchmark. It is an absorbing showcase of his widescreen style from early dubby cuts with thinking synth craft to the more heads-down and gritty tackle you want to hear at 4am in a dark warehouse. Standouts included 'Processor Six' which is a pending drum workout with icy hi hats making for a classic sound. There is Mills-style minimalism on 'Kontrol Freak' and hi-tech soul on 'Stages of Change.'
