Equipped with an analogue synthesiser circuit and a digital multi-engine:

Voice structure of Minilogue XD is 2VCO + MULTI ENGINE, 1VCF, 2EG, 1VCA, and 1LFO. In addition to the distinctive circuits found in the series, such as wave shaping to shape the overtones of the oscillator and a sync/ring switch, there's also cross modulation, a two-pole filter that can be both sharp and fat, and a drive switch that adds thickness and drives signal into Minilogue XD's filter. Every parameter has been tuned in detail based on what musicians want out of their synth. The sounds range from the warm pads typical of analogue to fat basses and crisp lead sounds, covering every situation.

The additional sound design possibilities of digital sound are delivered by the multi-engine: the third oscillator in addition to the two analogue VCOs. This engine, which is equipped with three different types of sound generator (noise, VPM, and open-source user oscillators) lets you take advantage of a sonic character that's different than analogue, and use it at the same time as the analogue engine, infinitely expanding XD module's potential through hybrid sound design.

High-quality digital effects:

Minilogue XD's high-quality digital effects use 32-bit floating point DSP processing, adding a finishing touch to its deep sound design platform. The three types (modulation effects, reverb, and delay) can be used simultaneously, letting you choose from a wide range of variations including chorus, ensemble, warm tape delay, and a diverse variety of reverb. The user effect slots allow you to load your own effect programs that you've created.

User customization brings out infinite potential:

The Minilogue XD features a customizable open-source environment. The unit comes with 16 user oscillator slots and 16 user effect slots that you can customize. Oscillators and user programs that you've created with the SDK (Software Development Kit) can be loaded into the Minilogue XD via the dedicated librarian software, as well as oscillators other users share online.

What sounds can you create using the fusion of expanded digital oscillators with analogue synthesis? Create original programs, share code, and participate in the user community. KORG even provides sample code to get you started.

Polyphonic Step Sequencer:

One of the major features of the Minilogue XD series is its 16-step step sequencer. Each of the factory-preset programs has an embedded sequence pattern created with performance in mind.

The step sequencer provides 16 steps, and supports both realtime recording and step recording. You can use the 16 step buttons to select a step directly, allowing quick editing to replace the pitch of a step or to mute it, or even improvisatory performances. Motion sequence lets you record the movements of up to four knobs, adding time-varying change to the sound, and you can record not only smooth changes in value but also values that change precisely at each step. You can use this to have different parameter values at each step; for example, you might create a drum pattern or sound effect from just a single program. This allows countless ideas to be unleashed.

Poly chain support:

The Minilogue XD module can be used in conjunction with another unit in the Minilogue XD series for poly assignment settings. Specify one unit as the master and the other as the slave, and they will play as an eight-voice polyphonic synthesiser. This supports a variety of uses, such as a voice-expansion module for the Minilogue XD or as a sound module for a DAW-based production system.

Notes: A good delay was an essential part of the classic analog synthesizer sound. More often than not, that delay came from a tape-style echo machine until affordable digital delays were created. The Monotron Delay is an analog synthesizer optimized for sound effects. In addition to its analog oscillator, filter and LFO, it also provides a space delay that's indispensible for swooping, cosmic sounds. The monotron Delay even reproduces the pitch changes that occur when you vary the delay time, just as though you were using an analog tape echo. This fat and warm delay will add an authentic edge to your analog sounds.

It also features Korg's class VCF filter for full control over your sounds. The distinctive tone of an analog filter (VCF) can dramatically alter and enrich the sound. The Monotron Delay uses the same highly acclaimed VCF circuit as Korg's classic MS-10 and MS-20 semi modular synthesizers. Originally released over 30 years ago, these instruments are still coveted today for their aggressive, dynamic filters. The VCF Cutoff knob sets the frequency or tone of the filter; the VCF Peak knob adds emphasis. A powerful filter is an essential aspect of any analog synthesizer, applying dramatic tonal changes to the sound, and projecting an intense personality that will stand out in any live performance.

Create classic sounding analogue tape delays to add warms and new dimensions to your synth sounds. Also included is Korg's fantastic enhanced ribbon controller keyboard, while a mini jack input also allows you to run any external audio, such as a Kaossilator, digital piano or guitar, through the Monotron Duo. As standard, the Monotron range comes with a powerful built-in speakers and is battery operated for the ultimate portable experience.

The Low Frequency Oscillator (LFO) waveform used to modulate the pitch now offers a choice of waveshapes, which is a new square wave plus the traditional triangle wave. Both the rate (speed) and the intensity (depth) can be adjusted independently. In addition, a trimpot on the back panel can continuously adjust the shape/direction of the triangle wave or the pulse-width of the square wave to deliver even more versatility. Used in conjunction with the delay, the LFO can create dazzling effects and provide unique possibilities for embellishing your songs.

The Monotron Delay's ribbon controller keyboard features a wide, 4-octave range. This design allows the pitch to be controlled even more aggressively and dynamically, making the Monotron Delay a great weapon for a DJ to get the floor moving with irresistible sound. The reversed white keys and body adornments glows under black light illumination, making the monotron Delay ideal for delivering a striking visual impact in nearly any club environment.

The input jack (AUX input) built into the Monotron Delay's compact body allow you to place any audio source into the Monotron Delay's signal path, directly before the analog filter and delay circuit. KORG's legendary Wavestation introduced the world to Wave Sequencing, transforming raw samples into sounds that no-one had ever heard before. The flagship OASYS and KRONOS keyboards developed Wave Sequencing even further, expanding on its unique palette of lush, evolving pads and driving rhythms.

Now, KORG is proud to announce the next step in digital synthesis: the wavestate. Featuring the radically re-imagined Wave Sequencing 2.0, the wavestate delivers astonishing, ever-changing sounds with extensive hands-on control.

Far from a nostalgic reissue, the wavestate is designed from the ground up for a new generation of musicians, producers, and composers, taking cues from sources as diverse as modular synths, groove boxes, and algorithmic composition. The compact form-factor, with 37 full-size keys, transports easily and fits neatly into any stage, studio, or desktop setup.

With the Wavestation, each step of a Wave Sequence had a duration, a sample, and a pitch. This created ear-catching patterns-but the patterns repeated the same way, over and over. What if they could evolve in organic, unexpected ways, instead of just repeating?

Wave Sequencing 2.0 splits apart the timing, the sequence of samples, and the melody, so that each can be manipulated independently. Also added are new characteristics including shapes, gate times, and step sequencer values. Each of these is a "Lane," and each Lane can have a different number of steps and its own start, end, and loop points.

Every time the sequence moves forward, the individual Lanes are combined to create the output. For instance, a sample may be matched with a different duration, pitch, shape, gate length, and step sequence value every time that it plays. You can modulate each Lane's start, end, and loop points separately for every note, using velocity, LFOs, envelopes, Mod Knobs, or other controllers. Each note in a chord can be playing something different!

Lanes can also randomize the step order every time they play, with realtime control over the range of included steps. Finally, individual steps can be randomly skipped, with a modulatable probability from 0 to 100%. The result is organic, ever-changing sounds that respond to your control. The four onboard arpeggiators can interact with Wave Sequences for even more possibilities.

With all of that synthesis power, you might think the wavestate would play only one sound at a time. Not a chance. For even more rich and complex results, layer up to four Programs together in a Performance-each with their own effects and arpeggiator. The Vector Envelope and Joystick mix the individual voices of the four Layers, and can also modulate any other parameters.

Bursting with knobs and controllers, the wavestate invites you to explore. All of the basics-filter, envelopes, LFOs, effects-are at your fingertips with dedicated front-panel controls. Eight programmable Mod Knobs are customized to bring out the most in every sound, often taking them in entirely new directions. Use the knobs in realtime performance, and also save the results as new sounds. Add in the Pitch Bend and Modulation Wheels and the unique Vector Joystick, and you'll always have multiple dimensions of realtime expression.

Want to dig deeper? Almost all front-panel knobs, and most on-screen parameters, can be modulated. You can even modulate settings for individual Wave Sequence Steps! Mod Processors let you transform modulation signals using quantization, smoothing, curvature, and more.

Looking for even more inspiration? A dedicated front-panel button, marked by a "dice" icon, generates new sounds via intelligent randomization. Randomize the entire sound or just a part of it, such as the filter, the Sample Lane, or the effects. Use the results directly, or as a jumping-off point for your own creations.

Welcome to an infinitely expanding world of sound-design. Joining volca kick and beats as the third, and most unique, drum synth in the volca lineup. The volca series is all about unique sound. Whether it's analogue, PCM, or FM, the volca series puts unique sounds into an accessible platform. And now, the series is joined by a new rhythm machine that brings yet another sonic character. It's the volca drum digital percussion synthesizer. Based on a simple trigger waveform, wave folder and overdrive are used to add overtones and distortion, and then a waveguide resonator effect brings the sound to life. The six-part DSP synth engine was designed with a completely different philosophy than conventional drum machines, and generates a wide range of unexpectedly different sounds. And of course, you can play those sounds from the volca-style sequencer.

Adding these distinctive sounds to your rhythms will revolutionarily transform your performances and productions.

Digital percussion synth with a 6-part x 2-layer structure:

The term "digital" typically brings to mind sounds that are based on PCM-sampled bass drum, snare drum, or cymbal, but the volca drum creates its drum sounds by DSP-powered analogue modelling. Oscillator waveforms such as sine wave, sawtooth wave, and noise are provided. By applying various changes to these waveforms, you can create a wide variety of percussion sounds that range from realistic to idiosyncratic, and are not limited only to drums.

The six parts each have two layers, and do not impose any rules or restrictions such as specifying which parts must be used for the bass drum or for the cymbal; all parts have the same specifications. You can freely assign your new sounds to these six parts without being limited by the conventions of a drum set. A kit consists of the six parts that you've assigned plus the waveguide resonator effect settings, and 16 such kits can be stored in memory (the factory settings contain 10 preload kits).

Distinctive sound from a newly developed DSP engine:

Each part consists of two layers. For each layer, users choose one of five types of oscillator waveform including sine wave, sawtooth wave, and HPF noise, and also choose from three types of pitch modulator and amp EG, each optimized for drum sounds. Layer parameters can be edited either individually or simultaneously, and users can also use the two layers to produce the same sound for additional thickness.

Waveguide resonator adds rich resonances:

The effect section features a waveguide resonator that's based on physical modelling, and which adds sympathetic resonances to the sound. You can choose from two types of waveguide: "tube" which adds the resonance of a cylindrical object such as a drum body or a long pipe, or "strings" which adds the metallic resonance of a string. The three knobs located in the centre of the panel let you specify the DECAY (amount of attenuation), BODY (sonic character), and TUNE (pitch). Setting TUNE to a lower value will produce a delay-like behaviour. You can take advantage of these knobs not only for sound design but also in your live performances.

16-step sequencer with a wide range of parameter automation:

The 16-step sequencer is excellent for improvisation. You can easily create patterns using the 16 buttons, each corresponding to one of the 16 steps. In addition to step recording, the sequencer also supports realtime recording in which you can construct a pattern while looping the playback. The pattern chain function lets you play multiple sequence patterns successively, so you can successively play back desired patterns of consecutive numbers. Up to 16 sequences can be connected to construct patterns with 256 steps.

Approximately ten years after the Electribe SX first went on sale, there's now a new sampler in the electribe series that's designed to be simple and easy for the beginner to understand, and even more enjoyable for previous electribe users.

The electribe perfectly fulfills two tasks that both demand speed: live performance and music production

The electribe sampler has been reborn with cutting-edge technology inherited from popular KORG products such as the KingKORG, kaossilator, kaoss pad, and taktile. The internal memory lets you save 250 patterns, including preset patterns which are perfect for today's dance music scene. There's also support for the polyphonic playback that's indispensable for styles that include complex chord progressions, such as House music.

Using the 16 pads placed on the front of the unit, you can create patterns intuitively while actually hearing and seeing the sounds. You can use the pads as a keyboard to realtime-record phrases, and also perform step recording by entering the pitch and rhythmic value one note at a time. The patterns you create can be used in alternate forms as you perform by taking advantage of the "step jump" feature inherited from the volca series, or by changing the "last step" to vary the length of each part.

There's also a "motion sequence" function that lets you record knob and button operations and use them in the pattern that you create.

Either drums or synths can now be assigned to each of the 16 parts (i.e., the 16 pads). For example you could create complex rhythms by assigning drums to all of the 16 parts.

Familiar from the kaossilator is the "touch scale" function that lets anyone perform without wrong notes, just by moving a finger across the touch pad. The trigger pads that were popular on the taktile are also provided, making it easy for anyone to create phrases intuitively. The trigger pads can also be used for drum input. Settings allow you to switch velocity on/off.

KORG created a synth engine for the electribe sampler that's perfectly designed to maximize your creativity.

In addition to a sampler sound engine that lets you use your own unique and original sounds (samples), there are also several types of analog modeling sound engines that are great for creating synth basses and pad sounds. There can be up to a total of 999 preset and user samples, and a maximum of 270 seconds of sampling time (calculated as monaural) can be used. The unit is shipped with numerous drum, rhythm/phrase loops, and hit samples included. (collaborations with Sample Magic, Loopmasters, Prime Loops are included)

Modulation can make sound-creation more complicated, but we've made it easy by condensing it down to three parameters: simply select a template that specifies an effect and its target, and then adjust the speed and depth of the effect to suit your taste.

The "Time Slice" function detects attacks within the phrase and slices it appropriately, allowing you to play the phrase at the desired tempo without significantly affecting the sound. Sounds within a sliced part can also be used separately by assigning them to steps or parts. You can even apply an effect to a sample, and then resample it while using the knobs to vary the pitch or modulation.

The new electribe sampler provides effects such as compression and overdrive for each part, giving you uncompromising control over the nuances of individual sounds that differ subtly between genres. The groove function can be specified for each part, letting you apply a groove to your phrase simply by selecting a template.

The master effects can be controlled from the touch pad just like on the Kaoss pad, and they include not only spatial-type effects that shape the overall acoustics but they also include effects that apply aggressively musical transformations such as the "Vinyl Break" effect inherited from the Kaoss pad series, and the newly developed "Seq Reverse" and "Odd Stepper" that change the playback order of the sequencer. These are also extremely effective for live performance. Insert effects can be assigned for individual parts, opening up even more complex sound-design possibilities.

There's also a "pattern set" function which lets you switch patterns by pressing trigger pads, and an "event recording" function that records that performance. In addition to MIDI IN/OUT, "Sync IN/OUT" is also provided, allowing synchronized performances with the volca series, monotribe, or MS-20 mini. The unit can run on six AA batteries, so you can easily take it along with you and perform anywhere, providing on-the-go inspiration to your musical ideas.

Newly developed multi-engine:
The ingenuity of Prologue goes beyond its analog design. The newly developed multi engine is provided as VCO3, adding digital waveforms and FM. This multi engine, which is equipped with three different sound engines, can be combined with the analog VCOs to expand prologue's sonic potential far beyond that of a traditional analog synthesizer.

Noise generator:
There are four types of noise generator, indispensable for percussive sounds or sound effects. Experience how digital filtering can produce direct changes in the colour of the noise.

VPM oscillator:
The VPM (Variable Phase Modulation) / FM oscillator was newly developed for Prologue. Its metallic and sharp sounds with their complex overtones could never be obtained by analog means. With 16 types of oscillator and the SHAPE knob, you'll be intuitively guided through complex sound design. User oscillator:

Digital effects:

User-customization:

The exclusive VU meter is available only on the Prologue-16, and indicates the newly developed master effect L.F. COMP. A vintage-style analog drum machine from Korg's recently announced Volca series. The Volca Beats includes a 16-step sequencer and 6 x editable analog parts including kick, snare, Hi/Lo toms and open & closed Hi-Hats designed to provide sounds reminiscent of classic 80s drum machines. It also has an additional PCM engine which is said to produce 4 x Lo-Fi percussion sounds including clap, claves, agogo and crash sounds.

There is one-knob-per-function parameter control for crafting each of the six analog sounds including click, snappy, pitch, decay and grain. The PCM sounds have control over pitch and speed. There is also a Level knob allowing volume adjustment of each part.

The 16-step LED-lit sequencer has 8 x memory locations for saving patterns. It includes a recordable stutter function for generating repeated triggers (or drum rolls) and delay effects, an active step feature for quickly adding or removing individual steps, and a step jump function that will instantly play any step. Notes can be entered live as the sequencer is running.

You can also wirelessly synchronise playback of all of the units in the Volca series with any iOS music app that support Korg's Wireless Sync-Start Technology (WIST) using their SyncKontrol iPhone app. This also allows control of the swing settings and fine control of the tempo (including tap tempo).

For greater usability, the Looper effect has been modified to let you loop the sound starting from the instant you touch the touchpad. The existing programs have been significantly updated; for example, if you move your finger to change the number of beats in the loop, the timing of that change will automatically be quantized. The Volca Nubass is the first analogue synth to be equipped with a Nutube new-generation vacuum tube in its oscillator. Vacuum tube plus analogue means that the sound is warm, thick, and rich. A vacuum tube oscillator circuit forms the heart of Volca Nubass, utilizing groundbreaking Nutube technology:

The Nutube is equipped with two vacuum tubes; one is used in the oscillator to generate a sawtooth wave or square wave. The other vacuum tube is used in the drive circuit of the sub oscillator, adding depth and warmth one octave below the oscillator. This oscillator and sub oscillator provide a circuit structure that brings out the harmonic character that only a real vacuum tube could provide.

A transistor ladder low-pass filter that produces a distinctive sound:

The low-pass filter defines the sound of this bass machine; it uses a transistor ladder design found on classic analogue bass synths. This filter is uniquely dynamic in the way it affects a sound more than just ranging from bright-to-dark. Its wide range of timbral possibilities makes it ideal for a broad variety of dance music; you can use it to create the distinctive modulation that can be heard in acid house, or increase the resonance to bring out a sharp character that's appropriate for techno.

Analogue driver circuit:

Nubass is equipped with overdrive that uses an analogue circuit reminiscent of a classic stompbox. Turning the knob toward the right compresses the volume while causing mild distortion, adding thickness to your bass sounds. The tone knob also lets you adjust the crispness of the high-frequency range.

A 16-step sequencer that lets you automate parameters:

The Volca Nubass is equipped with a full-fledged 16-step sequencer with a variety of functionality; by using it in conjunction with a rhythm machine, you can construct rhythm tracks or loop music.

You can use the 16 buttons for step input just like the rest of the Volca series, or play the buttons as a keyboard for realtime recording. The chain function lets you play back multiple sequence patterns in succession, allowing you to loop up to 16 sequences.

Three functions to create grooves on Volca Nubass:

The sequencer of the Volca Nubass provides three functions that add the slap and slide performance techniques that are distinctive of acid bass: these transpose, accent, and slide functions are accessible and controllable through the step sequencer.

Transpose is a function that plays a note one or two octaves higher; it adds movement to the bass line while staying within the original scale. Accent emphasizes a note, creating dynamics that make the rhythm expressive. And the slide function that's indispensable to acid sound creates a smooth transition to the next note. Use these functions to add a sense of groove, and Volca Nubass will come alive in your performances and compositions.

16/8-voice analog sound:
The Prologue is a polyphonic analog synthesizer with 8 or 16 multitimbral voices. KORG's analog synthesizer development in recent years has culminated in the Prologue, which was designed using 11,000 discrete electronic components. Although the Prologue is a flagship instrument, it still retains the inviting feel and accessibility of its predecessors. It features a pure analog path, impeccable sound quality, stunning presence unlike any other poly synth, and the same intuitive interface as the Minilogue and Monologue, granting you intuitive access to a vast world of analog synthesis.

The Prologue uses a structure of 2VCO + MULTI ENGINE, 1VCF, 2EG, 1VCA, and 1LFO. In addition to distinctive, original circuitry, such as wave shaping to shape the oscillator's overtones and a sync/ring switch, prologue also features a two-pole low pass filter with enhanced sharpness, drive that adds powerful distortion, and a low cut (high pass) switch. Every detail has been improved on from Minilogue and Monologue. Its sound covers every sonic possibility: fat basses, powerful leads, and the beautiful pads that you expect from a polyphonic synthesizer.

Newly developed multi-engine:
The ingenuity of Prologue goes beyond its analog design. The newly developed multi engine is provided as VCO3, adding digital waveforms and FM. This multi engine, which is equipped with three different sound engines, can be combined with the analog VCOs to expand prologue's sonic potential far beyond that of a traditional analog synthesizer.

Noise generator:
There are four types of noise generator, indispensable for percussive sounds or sound effects. Experience how digital filtering can produce direct changes in the colour of the noise.

VPM oscillator:
The VPM (Variable Phase Modulation) / FM oscillator was newly developed for Prologue. Its metallic and sharp sounds with their complex overtones could never be obtained by analog means. With 16 types of oscillator and the SHAPE knob, you'll be intuitively guided through complex sound design. Combine these wave shapes with Prologue's gorgeous analog filters, and prepare for sounds you never thought possible.

User oscillator:
The user oscillator section lets you load oscillator programs of your own creation. Sixteen slots are provided, and one type of morphing wavetable oscillator is built-in as a preset.

Digital effects:
The high-quality digital effects feature pristine 32-bit floating-point processing, and add a further polish to the sound of the Prologue. With two effect units provided (a modulation effect and delay/reverb), you can choose from a wide variety such as chorus or ensemble, warm tape delay, or diverse reverbs. The user effect slots let you load effect programs of your own creation.

User-customization:
The Prologue offers an SDK (Software Development Kit) that allows developers to program, customize and extend the capabilities of the multi-engine and digital effects and is expected to be available for download in the spring of 2018. The Prologue provides 16 user oscillator slots and 16 user effect slots, and users can use the Prologue Librarian software (also expected to be available for download in the spring of 2018) to load into their Prologue new oscillators and effect programs created by developers with the Prologue SDK (Software Development Kit).

Analog comp/booster:
The exclusive VU meter is available only on the Prologue-16, and indicates the newly developed master effect L.F. COMP. It's a low end booster/compressor using an analog circuit, delivering a solid sense of presence that cannot be obtained from a simple EQ. Four-voice polyphonic analogue synthesis. The analogue synthesizer circuit of the minilogue, whose genuine analogue sound had a huge impact on the synth world, has been further developed for the minilogue xd.

Voice structure of minilogue xd is 2VCO + MULTI ENGINE, 1VCF, 2EG, 1VCA, and 1LFO. In addition to the distinctive circuits found in the series, such as wave shaping to shape the overtones of the oscillator and a sync/ring switch, there's also cross modulation, a sharp two-pole filter, and a drive switch that adds thickness and drives signal into minilogue xd's filter. Every parameter has been tuned in detail based on what musicians want out of their synth. The sounds range from the warm pads typical of analogue to fat basses and crisp lead sounds, covering every situation.

Of course, programs that you create can also be saved in the unit. Out of the box, minilogue xd comes loaded with 200 presets, and a total of 500 programs can be saved.

Equipped with a digital multi-engine:

The additional sound design possibilities of digital sound are delivered by the multi-engine that's provided as a third oscillator in addition to the two analogue VCOs. This engine, which is equipped with three different types of sound generator (noise, VPM, and user slot) lets you take advantage of a sonic character that's different than analogue, and use it at the same time as the analogue engine, infinitely expanding the potential of hybrid sound design.
Noise generator

The noise generator provides four types of noise that are indispensable for percussive sounds or for sound effects. You can use the digital filter to directly change the colour of the noise.

VPM oscillator:

minilogue xd's multi-engine features a VPM (Variable Phase Modulation)/FM oscillator with a two-operator structure. It can produce sharp, metallic sounds with complex overtones beyond the possibilities offered by analogue systems. With 16 types of oscillator and a SHAPE knob control, you'll be able to create complex sounds intuitively.

User oscillators:

User oscillators allow you to load your own oscillator programs that you created or obtained via the internet. There are 16 user slots, as well as one type of morphing wavetable oscillator provided as a preset.

High-quality digital effects:

minilogue xd's high-quality digital effects use 32-bit floating point DSP processing, adding a finishing touch to its deep sound design platform. The three types (modulation effects, reverb, and delay) can be used simultaneously, letting you choose from a wide range of variations including chorus, ensemble, warm tape delay, and a diverse variety of reverb. The user effect slots allow you to load your own effect programs that you've created.

User customization brings out infinite potential:

The minilogue xd features a customizable open environment. The unit comes with 16 user oscillator slots and 16 user effect slots that you can customize. Oscillators and user programs that you've created with the SDK (Software Development Kit) can be loaded into the minilogue xd via the dedicated librarian software.

Polyphonic step sequencer controlled by 16 buttons:

The step sequencer provides 16 steps, and supports both realtime recording and step recording. You can use the 16 step buttons to select a step directly, allowing quick editing to replace the pitch of a step or to mute it, or even improvisatory performances. Motion sequence lets you record the movements of up to four knobs, adding time-varying change to the sound, and you can record not only smooth changes in value but also values that change precisely at each step. You can use this to design the sound differently at each step; for example, you might create a drum pattern or sound effect from just a single program. This allows countless ideas to be unleashed.

The meter scale of the CA-50 provides marks that indicate pure major and minor third intervals. By tuning to these marks you can play beautiful harmonies when you're in an ensemble. This is convenient not only in a brass band or orchestra, but also for vocal or a cappella practice.

The "Sound Out" mode lets you listen to a reference tone emitted by the internal speaker, allowing you to tune by ear. A reference tone in the range of C4 (261.63 Hz) to C5 (523.25 Hz) can be output. You can check the pitch using both eye and ear, allowing you to tune more accurately, and also providing an ideal method of training your sense of pitch.

The CA-50 can be used for approximately 135 hours (when using zinc-carbon batteries). When the remaining battery capacity runs low, the display shows an indicator, letting you know that it's time to replace the batteries.

A new mechanism reduces the possibility that the unit will overturn, making it less likely that the tuner will slide off and fall when placed on a music stand. You'll be able to concentrate on your playing without fearing that the tuner might fall during the performance.

The memory backup function remembers the calibration and sound out mode settings even when the power is turned off. (Settings are initialized when you replace the batteries.) The auto power off function automatically turns off the power when 20 minutes have passed without sound being input.

The folding stand allows the tuner unit to be more stable on its own. The sliding battery cover is designed as a single piece with the unit itself, so there's no worry that the cover might be lost when replacing the batteries.

Prologue is a fully-programmable, full-featured, professional synthesizer. Preceded by the four-voice polyphonic Minilogue and the monophonic Monologue, it's the long awaited debut of the flagship: the Prologue.

Prologue is a polyphonic analog synthesizer equipped with a full-sized keyboard. With powerful analog circuits that are descended directly from the earlier models of the series, together with a newly developed digital multi engine and gorgeous DSP-based effects, Prologue expands the variety of sounds and the possibilities for user customization.

The line-up is comprised of two models that cover musicians' needs for not only stage use, but also studio, home, or touring use: 16-voice 61-key Prologue-16, and the eight-voice 49-key Prologue-8. These instruments are capable of sounds that go beyond existing analog synthesizers.

16/8-voice analog sound:
The Prologue is a polyphonic analog synthesizer with 8 or 16 multitimbral voices. KORG's analog synthesizer development in recent years has culminated in the Prologue, which was designed using 11,000 discrete electronic components. Although the Prologue is a flagship instrument, it still retains the inviting feel and accessibility of its predecessors. It features a pure analog path, impeccable sound quality, stunning presence unlike any other poly synth, and the same intuitive interface as the Minilogue and Monologue, granting you intuitive access to a vast world of analog synthesis.

The Prologue uses a structure of 2VCO + MULTI ENGINE, 1VCF, 2EG, 1VCA, and 1LFO. Newly developed multi-engine:
The ingenuity of Prologue goes beyond its analog design. The newly developed multi engine is provided as VCO3, adding digital waveforms and FM. This multi engine, which is equipped with three different sound engines, can be combined with the analog VCOs to expand prologue's sonic potential far beyond that of a traditional analog synthesizer.

Noise generator:
There are four types of noise generator, indispensable for percussive sounds or sound effects. Experience how digital filtering can produce direct changes in the colour of the noise.

VPM oscillator:
The VPM (Variable Phase Modulation) / FM oscillator was newly developed for Prologue. Its metallic and sharp sounds with their complex overtones could never be obtained by analog means. The Prologue provides 16 user oscillator slots and 16 user effect slots, and users can use the Prologue Librarian software (also expected to be available for download in the spring of 2018) to load into their Prologue new oscillators and effect programs created by developers with the Prologue SDK (Software Development Kit).

Analog comp/booster:
The exclusive VU meter is available only on the Prologue-16, and indicates the newly developed master effect L.F. COMP. It's a low end booster/compressor using an analog circuit, delivering a solid sense of presence that cannot be obtained from a simple EQ. Training function that check and improve your sense of rhythm:
The BEATLAB mini provides a training mode that lets you objectively check your own sense of rhythm. If you connect the included contact mic to the unit's TRIGGER jack and attach it to your snare or practice pad, the BEATLAB mini detects the sound of your strikes and measures the slight discrepancy in tempo between your playing and the sound of the metronome. The amount of the discrepancy is indicated audibly. For example, if a male or female voice is selected, you'll be informed whether you're "TOO FAST" or "TOO SLOW"; if you're correct, the voice tells you plainly "GOOD," "GREAT," "WONDERFUL," or "PERFECT." This lets you check your own rhythm in real time with ease.. After evaluation, your score at keeping the rhythm and your overall tendencies are shown in the display, allowing you to monitor your progress as you continue to practice.

The powerful Rev.1 filter of the MS-20 self-oscillates when resonance is increased to the maximum, and this is used to produce powerful kick sounds with complex overtones.

Welcome to an infinitely expanding world of sound-design. Joining volca kick and beats as the third, and most unique, drum synth in the volca lineup. The volca series is all about unique sound. Whether it's analogue, PCM, or FM, the volca series puts unique sounds into an accessible platform. And now, the series is joined by a new rhythm machine that brings yet another sonic character. It's the volca drum digital percussion synthesizer. Based on a simple trigger waveform, wave folder and overdrive are used to add overtones and distortion, and then a waveguide resonator effect brings the sound to life. The six-part DSP synth engine was designed with a completely different philosophy than conventional drum machines, and generates a wide range of unexpectedly different sounds. And of course, you can play those sounds from the volca-style sequencer.

Adding these distinctive sounds to your rhythms will revolutionarily transform your performances and productions.

Digital percussion synth with a 6-part x 2-layer structure:

The term "digital" typically brings to mind sounds that are based on PCM-sampled bass drum, snare drum, or cymbal, but the volca drum creates its drum sounds by DSP-powered analogue modelling. Oscillator waveforms such as sine wave, sawtooth wave, and noise are provided. By applying various changes to these waveforms, you can create a wide variety of percussion sounds that range from realistic to idiosyncratic, and are not limited only to drums.

The six parts each have two layers, and do not impose any rules or restrictions such as specifying which parts must be used for the bass drum or for the cymbal; all parts have the same specifications. You can freely assign your new sounds to these six parts without being limited by the conventions of a drum set. A kit consists of the six parts that you've assigned plus the waveguide resonator effect settings, and 16 such kits can be stored in memory (the factory settings contain 10 preload kits).

Distinctive sound from a newly developed DSP engine:

Each part consists of two layers. For each layer, users choose one of five types of oscillator waveform including sine wave, sawtooth wave, and HPF noise, and also choose from three types of pitch modulator and amp EG, each optimized for drum sounds. Layer parameters can be edited either individually or simultaneously, and users can also use the two layers to produce the same sound for additional thickness.

Waveguide resonator adds rich resonances:

The effect section features a waveguide resonator that's based on physical modelling, and which adds sympathetic resonances to the sound. You can choose from two types of waveguide: "tube" which adds the resonance of a cylindrical object such as a drum body or a long pipe, or "strings" which adds the metallic resonance of a string. The three knobs located in the centre of the panel let you specify the DECAY (amount of attenuation), BODY (sonic character), and TUNE (pitch). Setting TUNE to a lower value will produce a delay-like behaviour. You can take advantage of these knobs not only for sound design but also in your live performances.

16-step sequencer with a wide range of parameter automation:

The 16-step sequencer is excellent for improvisation. You can easily create patterns using the 16 buttons, each corresponding to one of the 16 steps. In addition to step recording, the sequencer also supports realtime recording in which you can construct a pattern while looping the playback. HiVolt mic preamps give you the most headroom of any comparably-priced analog or digital mixer (16.5V internal voltage, even on stereo channels where other mixers skimp). They sound warm and musical.

It is the only small mixer that has Mute Groups. They let you instantly call up different combinations of channels for various groups on stage, different songs, sound checks, a solo acoustic number, a drum solo or different parts of a church service (choir, praise band, pastor. With a vertical layout that's easy to operate when held in the left hand, a five-line musical staff display to show the notes for intuitive pitch checking, and a sound back function that outputs the reference tone closest to the input vocal, this dedicated vocal lesson unit is packed with unique functions.

By giving you the confidence that you can sing the correct pitch, the VPT-1 vocal pitch trainer will help take your vocal ability to the next level.

A recording made of your voice sounds different than the voice that you yourself hear. That's because the sound travels a different route, and it's likely that you are naturally conscious of this difference when you sing. In this case, you feel that your pitch is correct, but is it actually correct?

It's important to be conscious not only of the difference in how the sound is heard but also of the pitch, and to train your senses by using a tuner to check the pitch. The importance of this is taken for granted for many instruments, so now let's introduce it for vocal lessons as well. The VPT-1 is a pitch trainer created specifically for vocals, taking full advantage of the know-how developed by Korg during its more than 40 years of producing tuners that have earned the complete trust of musicians.

When you sing into the internal mic of the VPT-1, the note you sing is shown on the five-line staff marked with the familiar G-clef or F-clef. The red LEDs at left show whether the pitch is high or low, so adjust your voice until only the blue LED in the center is lit. Individual differences in vocal pitch range can be accommodated by using the octave shift function to adjust the detected range up or down in one-octave steps, keeping the note display within the five-line staff.

The strictness of tuning can be adjusted in three steps. Start with EASY, and when you've gained more skill, increase the difficulty to MEDIUM and then HARD for further improvements to your pitch accuracy.

A must-have item for those without a sense of absolute pitch, the sound out function generates a specified reference tone. This is convenient when practicing songs that begin with the vocal, and you can also use this to improve your relative pitch on your own by repeatedly listening to a reference tone and then singing the same pitch.

Like the sound out function, the sound back function helps you improve your sense of pitch on your own by outputting (from the headphone jack) the reference tone that's closest to the pitch of your vocal input. The reference tone together with the tuning guide LEDs let you train using all three senses: eyes, ears, and mouth.

Creating new sounds that don't exist in the outside world is an unending dream which has continued since the birth of electronic musical instruments. This dream has evolved and expanded throughout the development of new and unique music production devices.

The popularity of modular synthesizers around the world has generated new excitement and interest in the so-called "West Coast style" of synthesis that deviates from traditional synthesis norms.
The compact body of this volca synth features eight modules and 50 patch points. While learning the basics of a modular synth, you can use popular features of the volca synthesizer line to control a unique and different flavour of analogue sounds.

Eight modules:
The volca modular is a semi-modular synthesizer consisting of independent analogue synth modules, digital effects, and a sequencer. Each of the modules has been carefully selected for its stand-alone completeness. The modules are internally connected so that sound can be produced even before connecting the included pin cables, and the routing is shown by white lines on the panel. Module connections via a pin cable take priority over the internal connections, bypassing them.

A fusion of West Coast style in a volca format:
Analog synthesizers in which a simple oscillator such as a saw wave or square wave is modified by a filter are referred to as "East Coast style" because of their origin from well-known American manufacturers. Synths of this style, as exemplified by the MS-20, have continued to evolve toward a goal of being used in many mainstream musical genres, thus being equipped with a keyboard for performance. Their sounds are notable for sharp filters and rich presence, and can be heard in many well-known songs.

Patching allows infinite possibilities:
volca modular's modules are connected via the included pin cables, allowing a diverse range of combinations. The unit's compact chassis provides 50 patch points. Inputs and outputs are color-coded for recognition at a glance, and the signals are also marked by symbols to indicate audio, control, gate or trigger. Normally, each signal is connected according to its use, but on the volca modular, signal levels are universally compatible between modules, allowing hidden possibilities to arise from patching that defies common sense. Twenty pin cables are included, and also included is a reference sheet explaining each patch point and providing basic examples of patching.

Sixteen-step sequencer that can automate parameters:
While the volca modular is a semi-modular synth, it is equipped with a full-fledged 16-step sequencer providing a wide range of functions, letting you enjoy automatic performance even when used stand-alone.

Using the 16 buttons familiar from the volca series, you can perform step input or use the buttons as a keyboard for realtime recording. The pattern chaining function plays back multiple sequence patterns in succession, allowing you to connect up to 16 sequences with up to 32, 64, or even 256 steps to create large-scale development.

Randomize function that can generate accidental ideas:
The sequencer of the volca modular lets you specify randomization for notes, active steps, and micro tuning. Irregular phrases, rhythms, and scaling that would be unlikely to come to mind can be generated by applying randomness, letting the volca be a source of unknown ideas.

Two new modes added for sequence playback:
Two new sequence modes have been added: bounce sequence mode which makes a round trip through the steps, and stochastic sequence mode which gradually proceeds while randomly moving forward and backward. Playing back a recorded sequence in a different form can add dramatic changes to your song or performance.

Musically advanced scales, keys, and micro tuning:
Although the volca modular is a West Coast style synthesizer, it also provides flexible support for music as a contemporary instrument. You can choose from 14 types of scale including equal temperament. Since you can also specify the tonic key from which these scales start, you can play these scales in any key.

Connectors that allow synchronized performance and external control:
With a sync jack that allows easy connection to a Korg groove machine, you can connect the volca modular to another volca series unit, a minilogue, monologue, or prologue, an electribe, or the SQ-1, and enjoy sessions with the sequencer synchronized to the playback.

Infrared tempo synchronization, ideal for practicing as a couple:

SyncDancing supports not only individual practice but also practicing dance as a couple. Simply click two SyncDancing units together and press the sync button to synchronize the tempo and timing via infrared (*1). Even while wearing the unit directly in your ear, both partners can practice while hearing exactly the same tempo.

The timing (delay) from the moment of synchronization until playback begins can be set in a range of 0--90 seconds (*2). This gives you flexibility to meet the needs of various situations. For example you can specify a shorter delay if you're synchronizing the units and then immediately starting a lesson, or use a longer delay if you need time to get into your position in a large hall.

Built-in voice count is useful for lessons:
