Review: The Beatles' EP From Us To You #3 captures a 1964 BBC session that encapsulates the band's early charm and infectious energy. Featuring a whopping ten tracks, it was recorded in the BBC's Paris Studios in Regent Street, London and fact fans will note that 'Honey Don't which was later included on the album Beatles For Sale and sung by Ringo, here features John on the vocals. Elsewhere the EP captures the band's irresistible melodies and tight harmonies with three of the tunes originally penned by the band's favourite rockabilly star Carl Perkins. Each song is a testament to The Beatles' enduring influence on popular music and overall serves as a timeless reminder of the band's unmatched creativity which continues to this day with new AI-produced singles that the much talked about one earlier in the year.

Review: A new special edition of The Beatles' Revolver comes courtesy of Apple, the original label on which the fab four released some of their most seminal works. Featuring a new mix and master by Giles Martin and Sam Okell, this version contains yet another 100-page book with a foreword by Paul McCartney and an unlikely essay by Questlove of The Roots.

Review: Beatles fans have been waiting for this one a while and now it is finally here. It was the legendary Liverpool band's seventh album and it came in August 1966. As ever it was an experimental and cutting edge work of pop rock, indie and psychedelic sounds that was a critical and commercial success. Some of the awards it won include Grammy Award for Best Album Cover as well as being admitted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. The album features classic singles 'Eleanor Rigby' and 'Yellow Submarine' which sound as fresh and new today as ever.

Review: As we write this The Beatles have just managed to put out their last ever, they say, new single. By harnessing the vast powers of AI and feeding it a dusty old clip of him singing back in the day, they have even managed to recreate the voice of John Lennon. It's a reminder of how ahead of their time the Liverpool band always was, even back in the 1960s. And that's when this album London to Manchester was recorded live on October 13, 1963, which marked the point at which the press knew the band was going to be global superstars and features all their biggest hits from this early-on time.

These swopping 50s and 60s sounds show the band's ability to harmonies perfectly while also showcasing the musicianship which would eventually reach unreal heights and make them into truly global stars and enduring legends even to this day. Lots of these are sing-along classics like 'Money (That's What I Want)' and 'The Hippy Hippy Shake' while 'Kansas City/ Hey Hey Hey Hey' is a catchy dancer.

Review: Debate has long raged about which of the Beatles' studio albums is their strongest, but 1966's Revolver frequently tops polls of fans and Fab Four scholars. This 'super deluxe edition' of the album, then, is long overdue. It naturally features a fully remastered and cleaned up stereo mix of the album that makes every vocal and instrumental element stand out with pin-sharp clarity ('Tomorrow Never Knows' and 'Elenor Rigby' have never sounded so good), as well as a cleaned up mono mix (disc four), two CDs of out-takes and alternative versions, and a bonus 'EP' boasting newly mixed and mastered versions of 'Paperback Writer' and 'Rain'. Throw in a 100-page hardback book featuring essays from Paul McCartney, Giles Martin and Questlove, and a treasure trove of Klaus Voorman photographs, and you have a fittingly luxurious package.

Review: Music history boffins might be interested to know the 19-minute live recording that is From Us To You #4 runs only slightly shorter than the average touring set played by the Fab Four at the time - 1964. A band in ascendency, to say the least, this is the final (and, as the title suggests, fourth) instalment in this EP series, which is made up of BBC session recordings from the later stages of the legendary group's rock-pop, Merseybeat era. A time capsule captured at the UK broadcasting giant's Paris Studios headquarters, classics like 'A Hard Day's Night' and the titular 'From Us To You' sit alongside the Little Richard anthem 'Kansas City/Hey-hey-hey-hey!', and B-sides like 'Things We Said Today'. Packed with infectious energy, and a naive innocence, it's a brief insight into one of the 20th Century's most evocative periods of music history.

Love Me Do
Review: This Japanese edition of the Beatles' much-trumpeted 'final single', 'Now and Then', has been pressed to 'SHM-CD', a format playable on all CD players that its manufacturers claim guarantees superior sound quality. Given the high-tech nature of the record - much effort was made by Giles Martin, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr to piece it together and make it sound special - many Beatles fans will find this appealing. The song itself has divided opinion, though there's no doubt that its blend of group harmony vocals, swelling strings, and typically jangly Beatles grooves leaves a lasting impression. It comes backed with a fresh, cleaned-up stereo mix of the band's debut UK single, 'Love Me Do', which benefits from greater sonic clarity and instrument separation.

Review: Interest in The Beatles will never wane, but in light of the huge recent documentary from Peter Jackson it is at a real high at the moment. As such it is the perfect moment to drop a new recording of music from one of their many session for the BBC. In all, the band cut over 300 tunes for the Beeb and most of them in 1963 when they were in the corporation's studios almost weekly. There were 10 more shows in 1965 and their final one came in May 1965 hosted by Denny Piercy. It included tunes like 'I'm A Loser' and 'Honey Don't' amongst many more.

Review: There's a chance this Liverpudlian four piece will be familiar by now. This, their 11th studio outing, first unveiled as the 1960s slipped into the 70s, is a bonafide epic from an outfit that weren't lacking in epics; in many ways a culmination of their time together, marking the end of their active years and beginning of their legacy. By this stage, then, they've emerged from years spent on the inner journey and time on the outer, space cadeting to the hallucinogenic fuelled tones of "Sgt. Peppers" and "Revolver". Of course, there's still plenty of explorations happening, but the gritty blues rock of opening track "Come Together" really sets the tone. Five decades on, it still sounds great and maybe even better than you remember. Even if you own the original, this anniversary edition is worth having.

Review: "This limited 7" chronicles one of the fab four's first ever live appearances in 1964, debuting new music on American national TV show 'Shindig!'. Recorded at the Granville Theatre in Fulham, London, the show focused entirely on British acts, but none of the others became such household names. 3 tracks adorn this single; 'Kansas City / Hey-Hey-Hey-Hey', 'I'm A Loser' and 'Boys', the second of which was a lesser-known song at the time, and had never seen a live performance before. If you're a fan of screaming-fans and 60s mop-top-era Beatles, this one's for you.

Review: Just the look of Elvis Presley was enough to get The Beatles hooked, Paul McCartney recently said, and when they finally got to hear hi, there was no going back. No surprise then that the Fab Four would want to cover the King's debut tour de force, which they did via a version that proves to be the missing link between the scruffy shuffle of skiffle and rock and roll. This picture disc offers the chance to own their enthusiastic airing of it alongside the Presley original.

EPMD were on their finest form when they dropped Unfinished Business in 1989, doubling down on the runaway success of their debut Strictly Business, and here we get two of the album's hottest joints for your instant gratification. 'The Big Payback' piles the funk on heavy, keeping it moody in the low end for EPMD to do their thing over the top, while original opening track 'So Wat Cha Sayin' nestles on the B side with one of the wildest rub downs Erick and Parrish ever committed to record. Truly essential hip hop from the golden era.

Review: Let It Be has always been the most controversial Beatles' album, in part because the version eventually released in 1970 featured extensive overdubs by Phil Spector and ultimately led to the band's messy split. This 'Special Edition' of the album, prepared to compliment Peter Jackson's documentary about the doomed Get Back film project which spawned it, features a whole new stereo mix from Giles Martin. His take has far more clarity than Phil Spector's 'wall of sound' effort, wisely emphasizing the band and guest organist Billy Preston's vocals and instrumentation while toning down some of the orchestration. Like Martin's previous mixes of later Beatles albums, it's a tasteful triumph.

Review: To coincide with the release of Peter Jackson's new documentary series about the Beatles' ill-fated Get Back project, we're being treated to a string of new editions of the band's final album, Let It Be. The focal point is a brand new (and pleasingly sympathetic) stereo mix of the album from Giles Martin, who has cleaned up the vocals and instrumentation while paring back some of the saccharine orchestration that was controversially added by Phil Spector. This double-disc edition also contains a second disc featuring out-takes from the recording sessions, a previously unheard 1970 mix of 'Across The Universe' from Glyn Johns and a superb rendition of 'Don't Let Me Down' from the band's mow legendary rooftop performance at their Apple HQ.

Review: Dave Clark Five, Manfred Mann, Gerry & The Pacemakers, The Searchers. To say the New Musical Express pulled together an impressive line up for the magazine's celebratory concert, at which the winners of a reader's poll were revealed, would be an understatement. And this is before we even mention the fact The Rolling Stones were also involved, only beaten to the top of the bill by The Beatles. On the day, Liverpool's Fab Four were presented their award by none other than Roger Moore, and then proceeded to play their first live show in 15 weeks. 'She Loves You', 'You Can't Do That', 'Long Tall Sally', and 'Can't Buy Me Love' were among the highlights, with an audience of 10,000 packing out the Empire Pool in Wembley for the entire day. This recording captures the energy of that set and the spirit of the time.

Review: Beatles fans have been waiting for this one for a while and now it is finally here. It was the legendary Liverpool band's seventh album and it came in August 1966. As ever it was an experimental and cutting-edge work of pop rock, indie and psychedelic sounds that was a critical and commercial success. Some of the awards it won include Grammy Award for Best Album Cover as well as being admitted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. The album features classic singles 'Eleanor Rigby' and 'Yellow Submarine' which sound as fresh and new today as ever.
