Notes: Erica Pico INPUT module is just what you need to interface your modular system with external synths or even your mp3 player or mobile phone.

It boosts external signal to modular synth signal level.

With the Pico Input, line signals from, for example, a synthesizer, drum-computer, audio interface or smartphone can be raised to modular level. The module delivers up to 40 dB of gain. Thanks to its two channels, users can comfortably process mono as well as stereo material.

The Pico Input comes equipped with two signal paths. Each signal path features an audio input, a volume potentiometer and an output. Up to 40 dB of amplification are available. Using jumpers on the circuit board, it is possible to dampen the maximum gain to 20 dB. The module's first input is a stereo jack, meaning the user can connect a smartphone or tablet without any adapter cables. In this case, incoming signals are distributed internally to both channels.

Notes: Based on the excellent LXR-02 drum machine, the LXR Eurorack module is a percussion all-round, with six voices, trigger inputs and CV modulation, plus the ability to generate synth parts. Versatile.

The Erica Synths Black Dual ASR EG is a versatile, full analogue voltage controlled looping envelope generator and low frequency oscillator with manually and voltage controlled shape and rate, designed for use in advanced modular systems.

Notes: You may wonder - what's that strange connector on the top of the Bullfrog? This is the VOICECARD slot. Voicecards expand functionality of the Bullfrog and make it even more versatile. Essentially, the voicecards replace patch cables - they connect the "modules" of the Bullfrog internally. But that's not all about them - some voicecards have built in mixers, signal generators and advanced electrical circuits to control the synthesiser, for example, sequencer that sends CV to control pitch and gate to start events on the synthesizer (Figure 40).

When inserting voicecards, make sure, the front panel of the voicecard faces the main interface of the Bullfrog. It is recommended that you turn off the Bullfrog when inserting a new voicecard.

As it's name suggests, the HIGHPASS VCF voicecard expands the sound treatment capabilities of the Bullfrog by bringing a highpass filter into the game. This allows for exploring highpass and bandpass filtering. The voice card features typical VCF controls - CUTOFF frequency, RESONANCE and CV LEVEL. The CV source switch allows for selecting between three CV sources - envelope generator 2, Sample & Hold LFO, which is a pulsewave generator in the Sample&Hold "module". The voice card features internal audio connections - the output from the MIXER is patched into the highpass VCF, the output of the highpass VCF goes into the input of the onboard lowpass VCF which is then connected to the VCA. For more flexibility, no CV connections for the Bullfrog are present on the voice card, so you have to do the patching yourself.

The WIND AND STARS voicecard makes internal connections of the Bullfrog so that it automatically emulates randomly evolving wind sound and blinking stars are controlled by the divider. Toddlers fall asleep better when they hear sounds like these.

The NOISE is patched into VCF and the VCF is patched to VCA. Set the VCA OFFSET to 12:00, ENVELOPE GENERATOR 1 to LOOP mode, NOISE LVL all way clockwise. Then manipulate SAMPLE & HOLD RATE setting, VCF CUTOFF, RESONANCE and CV 1 LVL settings, and well as ATTACK 1 and RELEASE 1 settings. Add some echo by setting the DRY/WET knob to 12:00 and find the best DELAY TIME and FEEDBACK settings.

It generates sine LFO waves, white noise, S&H CV and some interesting stuff - random triggers and pulse wave with random duty circle; basically, everything, you need, to bring some uncertainty in your modular setup.

The Pico RND comes equipped with five outputs, they emit the following signals:

The speed of LFO and S&H circuit can be edited using the module's potentiometer (Range: 0.1 Hz to 20 Hz). For synchronizing the Pico RND with other gear, a clock input was implemented.

Notes: Pico DSP is a small brother of the popular stereo effects processor Black Hole DSP. It contains eight algorithms, in detail four delays, two types of reverb, Leslie speaker emulation and an Overdrive/Bitcrusher. Each effect is editable in two parameters. One of them can be modulated using the CV input. Pico DSP features clear, high-resolution sound. Alongside the established standards, it is also possible to generate lots of freaky special effects.

Notes: Performance oriented Sample Drum brings you two independent drum sounds or loops with plenty of manual and CV controlled parameters. Samples are stored on the microSD card, and OLED screen makes working with samples instant and easy.

Sample Drum allows you to slice up loops directly in your modular system and rearrange them to taste. For processing, there are tuning functions (including 1 v/octave pitch tracking) and virtual VCAs plus AD envelopes. Thanks to the module's dual-channel concept, two loops can be combined. It is also possible to load one-shot samples instead of entire rhythms, of course. A total of six CV inputs guarantees lively results.

Sample Drum is composed of two identical audio players. WAV files (including cue points) are fed to the module via a micro SD card. Loops can be cut into several sections using the Data, Start and End potentiometers. The resulting slices may be played back in any order imaginable. A tune control allows real-time pitch changes. Dual FX combines two Spin FV-1 chips in one module, each filled with eight custom effect programs with two adjustable and CV controlled parameters per effect and analogue dry/wet circuit. All parameter settings can be saved with the effect and recalled instantly during the performance. Also the output of the first FX section is normalised to the second input so creating huge layers of effects is easy.

Notes: Erica Synths Fusion Dual Mixer is designed to mix and overdrive audio signals on the vacuum tube.

Use the Fusion Mixer as two independent 3-input mixers (also for stereo signal mixing) or a 6-input mixer. Special feature of the Fusion Mixer - great tube overdrive effects when level knobs are set to 3 o'clock or above. When used with drum machines, it even emulates sidechain compressors. When used to mix signals from VCOs Fusion Mixer it works as waveshaper, especially, if pulse width modulated pulse signals is used in one of inputs.

All Fusion modules by default are configured to work with regular eurorack PSU.

Due to the fact that cold tube heaters have lower resistance, Fusion modules have significant power consumption peak at startup, when power consumption almost doubles for 1-2 seconds. This is not a problem with linear PSUs that have power inertia, but may cause switching PSU internal protection to turn off power supply. Please make sure your PSU has some headroom before installing multiple Fusion modules.
