Review: Pretenders' iconic album Learning To Crawl gets a crystal clear vinyl reissue here to commemorate its 40th anniversary. Retaining the original 1984 artwork and tracklist, this reissue boasts 2018 remastered audio by producer Chris Thomas which arrives on wax for the first time. Following a band hiatus marred by the tragic losses of guitarist James Honeyman-Scott and bassist Pete Farndon, the album features various musicians before Robbie McIntosh and Malcolm Foster joined to solidify the lineup. Achieving Gold and Platinum status in the UK and US, the album peaked at #11 in the UK and #5 on the Billboard 200 and includes beloved tracks like '2000 Miles' and 'Back on the Chain Gang'.

Review: Embark on a mesmerizing journey with Steve Kilbey and Martin Kennedy's latest epic, 'Premonition K,' the third and culminating chapter of their highly acclaimed trilogy. Building on the success of Jupiter 13 (2021) and The Strange Life of Persephone Nimbus (2022), this album unveils a sumptuous and organic sonic landscape, delving into dark and enigmatic realms between life and death. Steve Kilbey, renowned as the frontman of The Church, infuses each track with emotional resonance and mystery. Martin Kennedy, drawing from his extensive experience with All India Radio, adds layers of sonic complexity, creating an immersive experience. Together, they invite listeners to break out the ouija board, turn off the lights, and immerse themselves in the mysteries of Premonition K. Review: Lenny Kravitz's Blue Electric Light is a trip into his signature sonic realm - namely a world of blues-infused rock. It is his 12th album overall and has been preceded by the 'TK421' single which was well received by fans and critics alike. With all the usual gritty guitar riffs, soulful vocals, and pulsating rhythms, Blue Electric Light exudes a timeless cool from the man who is often said to do the same. Kravitz's lyrics resonate with introspection and a touch of mystique, creating compelling atmospheres that mix classic rock influences with more modern sounds to make it another standout record in Kravitz's diverse discography.

Review: Foghat are an English rock band formed in 1971 in London. The band are known for their blues-based hard rock sound and their hit songs 'Slow Ride' and 'Fool for the City' which are both featured here. Slow Ride: Live In Concert gives us undistilled Foghat, recorded and filmed live in Texas in 1999, just before Dave Peverett's death in 2000 at the age of 56. The power and drive of these classic songs come ringing through and are a celebration of Foghat's vision and talent, many years since the band exploded onto the world in 1970. Pressed on orange marbled vinyl., this is a must have for fans of the band considering the time of when the concert date was in the band's history.

The former lead singer of The Jam and Style Council brings his soulful voice to album that has a slew of interesting guest artists, with contributions from Suggs, Noel Gallagher and Bobby Gillespie to name just a few. The lead single will be 'Rise Up Singing', which immediately transports to us a carefree 60s sound, 'Soul Wandering' is a powerful rock track where Paul really shines and is one of our favourites here. The modfather is back.

Review: Tinted Windows is the wondrously, almost hilariously cast supergroup comprising guitarist James Iha of Smashing Pumpkins fame, Taylor Hanson of Hanson, bassist Adam Schlesinger of Fountains of Wayne, and Cheap Trick's Bun E. Carlos. Brace yourself for a reminder of this ingenious grouping this 2024: the debut self-titled album was first released in 2009 and though it intended to synergise each founding members' successes as part of their earlier projects, also did fantastically well at portraying a contemporary take on the 70s and 80s pop rock quintessence. Lead singles 'Nothing To Me' are instantly reminiscent of Ferris Bueller in the drop-top, though all come dashed, even sprinkled, with a hint of 90s pubic power punk a-la 'Stacy's Mom', as we should expect from a Fountains Of Wayne adjacent.

Review: In the depths of the turbulent 1970s, amidst the corruption and inequities of Brisbane, Australia, emerged a formidable force - The Saints. Eternally Yours, their seminal second album, marked a departure from their debut's raw aggression, showcasing a kaleidoscope of influences that transcended the boundaries of punk. While their debut, I'm Stranded, embodied the quintessential punk ethos, Eternally Yours explored a more eclectic palette. The Saints ingeniously incorporated elements of horn sections and acoustic guitars into their signature fast-paced, abrasive sound. Their lyrics remained politically charged, capturing the social and political unrest of their time. Throughout the album, the guitars morph seamlessly from crisp and eerie to intensely distorted. The vocals exude an unwavering attitude, with the singer occasionally experimenting with backing harmonies. An album that still remains to be discovered by many decades later.

Review: Spanish hardcore punk label and distributor La Agonie De Vivir reissue the indelible No Straight Angles LP by No Fun At All, originally released by Burning Heart Records in 1994, but which also saw a resurgence in popularity in 2016 thanks to its first reissue by the former label. The Swedish punk band 'quit while they were ahead' in 1999, but their legacy has proven difficult to wilt, and No Straight Angles is by far their best-known project. A huge fifteen tracks all burning through buzzing spread-guitars and claustrophobic hooks, this is the sound of clunky comings-of-age and foregone conclusions, embraced with full fervour by Eriksson, Jansson and co. A great, original record which is especially useful for quelling anxiety, ironically by affirming that anxiety.

Review: On this unique compilation, various artists pay homage to the iconic Irish rock band U2, reimagining their timeless classics and turning them into their own., from the dreamy ethereal sounds of Heaven 17's 'With or Without You' to the pulsating electronica industrialism of Front Line Assembly. The Mission UK's haunting rendition of 'All I Want Is You' evokes a profound sense of longing and despair, while The Electric Hellfire Club's industrial-infused 'Sunday Bloody Sunday' captures the raw energy and political urgency of the original. Rosetta Stone's ethereal 'October' provides a meditative interlude, and Die Krupps' throbbing dance interpretation of 'Numb' adds a sinister edge to U2's dance track. The album culminates with Silverbeam's soaring anthem 'Where The Streets Have No Name' featuring Ann Louise, a fitting tribute to the band's enduring impact on the global music scene. Tribute albums rarely shine as bright as this one does.

Review: A veritable sonic warhammer in the unconscious sub-terrain that is British hard rock, Jerusalem's self-titled record was first released in 1972, yet came reissued in 2021 via Lion Productions in the run-up to its almost full half-century anniversary. Fronted by Deep Purple's very own Ian Gillan, Jerusalem's brand of proto-heavy metal was raw and razor-edged in sound, with very little effects or treatment applied to its instrumental parts, a flex that signifies pure talent. Gillan's vocals on the likes of 'Frustration' and 'Primitive Man', the album's highlights, are snarly but tempered by a real 'down for it' emotion, as propulsive electric strums abound in the surround mix, nailing the album's overarching theme of sexuality and tantalisation.

Review: David Bowie's Diamond Dogs is a seminal album in his career, released in 1974 amid the glam rock era. The album plunges into a dystopian world, with Bowie adopting the persona of Halloween Jack, a feral survivor in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Songs like 'Rebel Rebel' and 'Diamond Dogs' capture the album's raw energy and cynicism, while '1984' reflects Bowie's fascination with George Orwell's novel. Diamond Dogs remains a very important record to Bowie's artistic vision and musical prowess. While many remember the album as the transition period between Ziggy Stardust and The Thin White Duke, the music is equally as memorable. Its themes of alienation, rebellion, and survival continue to resonate with listeners today, making this anniversary edition a valuable addition to any Bowie fan's collection.

Released in 1990 as part of the album 'Ragged Glory,' this track is a powerhouse of distortion-drenched guitars and driving rhythms that now lends its name to a live recording from a club in Toronto in 2023. With its catchy hooks and rebellious spirit, Fu##in' Up encapsulates the essence of Young's defiant songwriting style and Crazy Horse's unbridled energy and is a blistering sonic journey that leaves a lasting impression.

Review: Fresh from the first two successful singles of his solo career, Billy Idol was one of the most recognisable faces in the early 80s, with his popularity rising in tandem with the rise of the music video thanks to MTV. The follow up album to his eponymous debut, Rebel Yell would prove to be his most successful and the most critically acclaimed of his career, with hits coming out of its ears. 'Eyes Without A Face', 'Flesh For Fantasy', 'Catch My Fall' and the title track 'Rebel Yell' all helped to make one of the highest selling records of 1982, making Billy a household name. Musically, Rebel Yell is a new wave album with hard rock and other influences. Steve Stevens powerful guitar riffs that helped fuel Billy Idol's singing were a match made in heaven. Ironically, the album also broke barriers as being a rock album powered by a drum machine - setting a trend that ZZ Top, Iggy Pop and even Judas Priest would follow in subsequent years. This version, spread across two LPs, comes with the original album plus a a few demo versions as well as a remix to 'Eyes Without A Face'. Whether you have an original copy or not, this version is the ideal one to get.

Review: Queen's Rock Montreal album, compiled from two electrifying live performances in Montreal during 1981, stands as one of their pinnacle live releases. Originally filmed for theater projection, the subsequent DVD's audio was said to feel lacking at home, but after Queen regained publishing rights they remastered both audio and visuals, resulting in this exceptional vinyl pressing. The concert showcases Queen at their peak, fueled by Freddie Mercury's fervor. 'We Will Rock You' kicks off with thunderous energy, setting the stage for an unforgettable journey through Queen's hits. From the rockier rendition of 'Play the Game' to the anthemic 'Somebody to Love,' each track pulsates with live vigor. Freddie's charismatic banter adds flair, while songs like 'Save Me' and 'Sheer Heart Attack' shine with emotional depth and raw energy. The show's climax with 'We Are the Champions' leaves audiences exhilarated, capping off a near-flawless performance.

Considered by many, to be the last album released of his glam rock period after disbanding his backup band The Spiders From Mars. With his career direction in some question and longtime guitarist Mick Ronson gone, you have arguably one of the interesting studio albums of his career. Led by the hit 'Rebel Rebel', the album marked a turn for Bowie's songwriting having been inspired by a recent interview he did for Rolling Stone with WIlliam S Burroughs. An admirer of Burroughs' working methods and his 1964 novel Nova Express, Bowie revealed he had begun using Burroughs's "cut-up" technique as a way for inspiration. Ultimately, Diamond Dogs is most important for being the transition point from Ziggy Stardust to the Thin White Duke which catapulted Bowie's success in the United States. While only having one modest hit from the album, Diamond Dogs was still a big success. In hindsight, it would also help establish David Bowie as an artist where fans wanted to hear his entire work and not just a single's worth and to Bowie, that showed that his personality was winning over his audience and that his new direction was a good choice.

Review: David Bowie's Rock 'n' Roll Star! chronicles the boy from Bromley's transformative journey that culminated in his Ziggy Stardust masterpiece. Spanning from February 1971 to the recording of 1972's The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars, this compilation presents 14 rare and previously unreleased tracks that trace Bowie's artistic metamorphosis. From early Ziggy Session takes to alternative versions and outtakes, this vinyl release offers an intimate glimpse into Bowie's creative process. Each track reveals a different facet of the artist, from the proto-glam of 'Hang On To Yourself' to the soaring balladry of 'Holy Holy.' The album culminates with two iconic performances: an energetic Top Of The Pops rendition of 'Starman' and an alternative version of 'John, I'm Only Dancing' that showcases Bowie's diverse musical talents. Mastered at half-speed, this black vinyl LP provides an immersive and nuanced listening experience.

Review: Mark Knopfler's One Deep River album from 2023 immerses listeners in a reflective journey through Americana's heartland. It is a typically poignant album from the rock icon that showcases his mastery of storytelling as it weaves together tales of life's trials and triumphs. With his distinctive guitar work and soulful vocals front and centre, Knopfler paints vivid landscapes of dusty highways and riverbanks at dusk on each track, from the introspective 'Beneath a Prairie Moon' to the bluesy swagger of 'Ride On Across.' With its timeless allure, One Deep River speaks of Knopfler's enduring legacy as a guitar troubadour of the modern age.

Review: There's a chance this Liverpudlian four piece will be familiar by now. This, their 11th studio outing, first unveiled as the 1960s slipped into the 70s, is a bonafide epic from an outfit that weren't lacking in epics; in many ways a culmination of their time together, marking the end of their active years and beginning of their legacy. By this stage, then, they've emerged from years spent on the inner journey and time on the outer, space cadeting to the hallucinogenic fuelled tones of "Sgt. Peppers" and "Revolver". Of course, there's still plenty of explorations happening, but the gritty blues rock of opening track "Come Together" really sets the tone. Five decades on, it still sounds great and maybe even better than you remember. Even if you own the original, this anniversary edition is worth having.

Review: Following on from 1989's majorly successful and admittedly more commercial sounding fourth full-length Intuition, Trondheim glam metal-tinged hard rock heroes TNT would find themselves on the radar and eventual roster of Atlantic Records, who in 1992, would distribute the band's fifth album and first on the major label, Realized Fantasies. Praised by fans for its exceptional production with ludicrously bombastic percussion the whole way through, the project saw a sonic retracing of their more hardened edges, so as not to lose sight of their creative prowess. That being said, cuts such as the cheerful 'Easy Street' and epic ballad 'Lionheart' seem like they were purposefully designed to keep snooting record label execs off their proverbial backs. Never mind what glassy eyed nostalgia-baters say, Realized Fantasies goes hard as hell while delivering barrages of riffage, melody and playfully epic grandeur.

Review: "In Rainbows", Radiohead's seventh album, finally gets a physical release! It's one thing downloading this landmark album, but to actually hold this is something special. Not only do you get increased sound quality, but you also get the amazing artwork from Stanley Donwood. This album includes "Nude", a live favourite for many years that was originally written during the "OK Computer" sessions. More minimal that their "Kid A" period, "In Rainbows" does something that very few albums have done - its sound is distinct from previous Radiohead albums, but is still clearly Radiohead. Hail to the kings, they are back on top form.

Review: Santana's Amigos album from 1976 stands out as a Latin-infused rock masterpiece that often goes unnoticed due to the absence of their most popular hits. Nonetheless, it is regarded as one of their most captivating albums, resonating with listeners through its infectious energy and musical prowess. The opening track, 'Dance Sister Dance (Baila Mi Hermana),' showcases Santana's exceptional guitar skills, complemented by a solid rhythm section that propels the melodies to new heights. The album features standout tracks like the heartfelt ballad 'Take Me With You,' the dynamic 'Let Me,' and the grandiose 'Europa (Earth's Cry Heaven's Smile).' With its recent reissue on vinyl, Amigos becomes essential for both loyal Santana enthusiasts and those discovering the band's music for the first time. Embracing the fusion of Latin rhythms and rock elements, this album continues to captivate audiences and solidify Santana's legacy in the realm of musical excellence.

Review: Twenty years ago it sounded like an oddly poignant evocation of pre-millennial tension. Two decades later it stands as an eerily prescient glimpe into the technological alienation and dislocation of of a new era. Yet more importantly, OK Computer is no more or less than a sparkling, dramatic and moving collection of songs that haven't lost any of their impact in the interim. The sound of a band stubbornly refusing to follow up the stadium-strafing stylings of its predecessor The Bends - and instead bursting headlong into experimentation and wild creativity -is portrayed in still more vivid colours by the alarmingly strong collection of out-takes and B-sides collected herein, Yet there's no getting away from the chill and spark that marked out OK Computer from everything surrounding it in the post-Britpop malaise, and continues to do so in the pre-Brexit counterpart.

The enduring appeal of Steely Dan never fades with time, and why should it? Donald Fagen and Walter Becker's relentless pursuit of perfection and blue-eyed soul gifted us a whole heap of stunning albums, and their fiercely devoted fanbase would fight tooth and nail over which one gets the top spot. Our money would be on Aja though, given its enduring influence, its rich extended life through a whole host of sampling and the quite simply flawless run of songs, composition, production and beyond. It's one of the greatest albums out there, and you'd do well to grab a copy if you don't own it already.

Review: Celebrating half a century of rock legacy, AC/DC's Back In Black gets a special edition release some 44 years after its original unleashing. The iconic album is well known for its thunderous riffs and anthemic choruses and though it is very much of its age, it solidified AC/DC's status as one of rock's greatest bands, despite the appearance of flat capped Geordie Brian Johnston in place of Bon Scott, who died tragically in 1980. With hits like 'You Shook Me All Night Long', live favourites 'Hells Bells' and 'Rock 'N' Roll Ain't Noise Pollution' and the title track, the album reached all-new heights of rock energy and big riffery and now this anniversary edition offers a fresh perspective on a timeless classic while showcasing AC/DC's enduring influence on the rock landscape.

Review: Gaucho was the seventh studio album from soft-pop-rock-jazzists and yacht rock pioneers Steely Dan. Released in 1980, they would embark on a tour to mark the record's arrival, and then vanish for 20 years. Or at least go on extended hiatus. That's not surprising, given the back story here, with widespread creative disagreements and a three-way legal battle with MCA and Warner Bros ensuing. And an original budget blown by the sheer scope of 42 musicians contributing to the work. The Lost Gaucho is almost an unplugged version of all that. These are the alternative versions recorded in the early sessions that led to the final LP. Broadcast on radio as part of the promotional campaign, they've been compiled on this joyfully smooth and seductive package, which fans need in their lives.

Released by Geffen Records in part because of the delay in the making of Chinese Democracy, it came in 2004 amidst some infamous legal challenges from Axl Rose and former band members who weren't too pleased with its tracklisting. It got no promotion as a result but still topped the UK Albums Chart and no wonder with 'Sweet Child O Mine', 'Welcome to the Jungle' and 'Paradise City' all featuring amongst plenty more.

The urgent, invigorating strains of single 'Burn the Witch' were no anomaly, and 'A Moon Shaped Pool' shows them shaking off the more insular tendencies of their last opus 'King Of Limbs' to engage and electrify in a way that they haven't truly managed for years - radiant, celestial ambience shares space here with impressive ire and emotional engagement, with these peerless experimentalists delivering a record that transcends both their own work and the vast majority of the musical landscape they survey.

The album marked a turn for the band presenting a much heavier sounding product per influence by their new manager and new label at A&M records. The band featured Steve Marriott on guitar and vocals, Jerry Shirley on drums and keyboards, Greg Ridley on bass and vocals along with Peter Frampton on guitar and vocals, Frampton stepping into the limelight with his amazing performance on 'Earth and Water Song', a song was surrounded in thentracklisting by two of the heaviest songs they ever wrote - 'One Eyed Trouser Snake Rumba' and 'I' Ready'. The album is also known for containing the one and only song sung by Jerry Shirley 'Only A Roach', a homage to marijuana.

With the rise of successful greatest hits albums, the label at the time pressured the young band to bring out a collection of previously released music, with then 12 songs featured here the result of collecting three songs per prior album that the band felt were their strongest. This album features some of the most beloved live songs by the band like 'Buck's Boogie'. For those that are new to the band, this is a great introduction to the history of BOC prior to their landmark hit 'Don't Fear The Reaper' smash the following year and this reissue comes on silver & black marbled vinyl.

Review: As part of the Who's massive reissue bundle of Who's Next, their most popular album, the half-speed remastered edition on vinyl makes for a relatively reserved version, compared to the mammoth CD box-sets full of demos and rarities also in tow. Primed for audiophiles - whose needs sometimes cross over with, but are no less distinct from, that of collection completists - this version of the album is special in that the original tapes have been re-treated using a half-speed remastering process, which enhances the sound quality and clarity of the original recordings. What's more, this version was done at Abbey Road Studios, of all places, with the process overseen by acclaimed engineer Miles Showell and from tapes prepared by Jon Astley.

Review: A year shy of its 40th anniversary, Inspiration Information enjoys a reissue and it's still as sparkly and soul-laden as it was in 1974. Ranging from the guitar-twanging smoky blues funk of "Rainy Day" to the sultry, strutting title track, it's largely regarded as Otis's most comprehensive work of that time. According to legend it took him three years to create... 39 years later and it still sounds as good as this? We'd say that's time well spent!

Review: Carole King's second album holds the title of being "the 81st best-selling album of all time," having sold more than 14 million copies around the world and picking up Diamond status in 1995. It was a multi-Grammy Award winner including Album of the Year and spent five weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It features two covers written by King, and demonstrated her technical style and the full range of a voice that was said at the time to be liberating for other female singers. A creative album of pop with real intimacy, it also shows a high level of musical accomplishment.

Review: The legacy and catalogue of Prince is one which continues to reveal surprises and swerves even this many years after his death. There are a lot of different phases to dig into, but if you want the exhaustive run through his breakout years, look no further than the Hits 1 and 2 collections. Put together by Warner in 1993, as their relationship with the famously strong-willed artist was going south, this pair of compilations feature every hit that matters from 1979 through to 1992. There are stone-cold classics and some deeper fan favourites and rarities included - so many in fact it has to be stretched over two separate volumes.

Review: When Mick Mars stepped back from touring with Motley Crue, it seemed like the end of an era. Really, it was the beginning of a new one. The legendary guitarist, whose riffs, solos and overall devastatingly heavy sound powered the L.A. icons through four decades of world-conquering, multi-platinum sonic mayhem is, as he demonstrates on his debut solo effort, still a serious force to be reckoned with. Only now, listeners are reckoning with more Mars than ever before. On the aptly-titled The Other Side of Mars, fans get that vision in its full, multifarious glory. To be sure, there are plenty of characteristically riff-tastic, tough-as-nails hard-rock anthems, but The Other Side of Mars also shows the 71-year-old guitarist heading into new and uncharted territory, tearing through caustic, modern metal ('Broken On The Inside"', conjuring gothic-tinged soundscapes ('Undone'), digging into anguished, slow-burning power balladry ('Killing Breed"' and unspooling bluesy, cinematic instrumental workouts (the album-closing guitar showcase, 'L.A. Noir'). The music throughout the ten-track collection, meanwhile, is otherwise studded with slide guitars, violins, violas, keyboards, glitchy freak-outs and all manner of sonic surprises.

Review: Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Mix, Vol. 2 is the soundtrack to Marvel Studios' epic Guardians of the Galaxy with all of the songs that feature on Peter Quill's mixtape as heard in the film. It was released back in 2019 and now arrives on vinyl via Disney on a nice orange pressing. All the songs were written into the script of the movie and many of the original pieces were in fact penned before the film so the pictures were made to match the sounds. The album managed to climb to the Top 10 of several charts around the world.

Review: One of the most crucial art-pop records of all time, 'Hounds of Love' was British legend Kate Bush's fifth studio album, her most commercial and most daring. "It was just a lot of work" Bush laughed on an interview with Richard Skinner in 1992, explaining the sudden resistance she felt following her polarising 'The Dreaming', the first album she also produced. Despite the fear, the pressure and the workload, 'Hounds of Love' is, without question, her most beloved, opening with one of the most treasured songs of the 20th century, 'Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)' that has been revived time and time again in the soundtracks of TV shows like 'Pose' and 'Stranger Things'. Steadily approaching its 40th anniversary, there's still so much to this record beyond its singles. The latter half of the album contains a concept mini-album, the 'Ninth Wave', a narrative suite of songs based on the Ivan Alvazovsky painting of the same name. It follows the psyche of a woman who is stranded in the ocean, confronted by the ghosts of her past, present and future. I could go on about this album forever, truly, and its constant relevance in the zeitgeist is a testament to the lasting power of these songs. This is the first time this record has been released in over 10 years, featuring the Fish People remastering on a purple 180gm vinyl, an obi strip tied over a spot finish sleeve.

Review: There are as many opinions on 'Now & Then' as there are people, but regardless of your own thoughts on this revived Lennon sketch there's no denying the arrival of the final Beatles single has been one of the major musical events of 2023. Collectors and completists, meanwhile, of which we gather The Beatles have more than a few, will be trampling on top of each other to get hold of these Japanese editions of the single.

Review: The enduring appeal of Steely Dan never fades with time, and why should it? Donald Fagen and Walter Becker's relentless pursuit of perfection and blue-eyed soul gifted us a whole heap of stunning albums, and their fiercely devoted fanbase would fight tooth and nail over which one gets the top spot. Our money would be on Aja though, given its enduring influence, its rich extended life through a whole host of sampling and the quite simply flawless run of songs, composition, production and beyond. It's one of the greatest albums out there, and you'd do well to grab a copy if you don't own it already.

Review: It's 1977 and AC/DC are not-so-fresh after a spell as the support on Black Sabbath's tour. Looking for a new bassist, after a disagreement over whether to pick Manfred Mann's Colin Pattenden, the band agree on Cliff Williams, who would remain in place until 2003. Recording what became Powerage, their fifth studio album, Atlantic Records soon complained there wasn't a sellable lead single. 'Rock 'n' Roll Damnation' took form, one of the group's outliers, which comes without standard guitar solo but with maracas and hand claps. While this proved divisive among die hard fans, the album itself has gold waiting to be discovered deeper down. 'Gimme A Bullet', for example, has been cited as the finest track the late Bon Scott would write, his lyrical flair and deft metaphorical wit shining through on a tune that won't let up. This was his final LP, and tragically three years later he was no longer with us, marking an end to the group's iconic first chapter.

Review: The Australian rock gods' third album is one of their most varied in moods and displays a new found confidence in their sound, with songs like 'Squealer' and 'Ain't No Fun (Waiting Round to Be a Millionaire)' containing rolling instruemntal section where the band hit a trademark riff and interlocking groove and simply let it ride. From the title track, with its sleazy tale of cash for violence, to the Stones-esque 'Problem Child' and the frenetic 12-bar closer 'Rocker', the band's closing song in their live set for many years to come, this is the sound of a legend being forged.
