The Andy Summers Walking on the Moon is an analogue flanger with a simple but powerful control set of RATE, RANGE, and COLOR. RATE sets the speed of modulation which ranges from slow, smooth filter sweeps to jittering vibrato. RANGE controls how narrow or wide the effect sweeps into the bass frequency range. The COLOR control effects the intensity of the flanger effect from subtle chorusing effects to classic jet woosh sounds. These three controls interact to create a wide breath of modulation effects.

Additionally, the Walking on the Moon includes a FILTER MATRIX which disengages the LFO from the flanger circuit, freezing the flanger giving a fixed filter effect, which can add chime or metallic overtones to your sound without the movement of a traditional modulation pedal. A DRY output allows you to split your dry signal from the effected signal.

Special Artist Edition graphics featuring Andy's signature adorn the chassis and a tribute Walking on the Moon poster with art by Laura Josephson is included with each pedal.

From meaty boost to smooth singing leads, the Spruce Goose steers your tone into a variety of inspiring and musical directions.

The engine of the Spruce Goose is an overdrive circuit renowned for its natural breakup and amp-like response. This circuit is then elevated to new heights by the LIFT switch which selects between 3 levels of input gain. LIFT effectively works as an input boost, goosing the front end of the drive circuit hitting harder and producing a more compressed, saturated tone while still retaining its dynamic feel and transparent tone. GAIN and VOL knobs adjust for exact drive and output levels. EQ of the pedal consists of a TREBLE knob for taming topping and an active BASS knob to cut or boost bass frequencies. BASS is especially helpful for adding girth to single coil guitars or tightening the low end on warmer humbucker guitars.

The Spruce Goose also features mechanical relay true bypass switching with latching and momentary action. Tap the footswitch for a normal latching toggle or press and hold the footswitch for a momentary blast of gain and boost! Great for stepping out in front of the mix for pulling quick lick or moment of sonic chaos.

The EHX Pico Triboro Bridge is a tri-mode drive box with a wide range of tonal possibilities. Featuring Overdrive, Distortion, and Fuzz modes, it bridges any gap in your gain. With a powerful EQ, input contouring, and a pico-sized footprint, the Triboro Bridge can be your tonal keystone or a welcome change from the routine drive.

Starting with Overdrive mode, the gain spectrum ranges from low to mid with an open voicing that can be used as a light always on drive or a solo boost. Engage the Triboro's Distortion mode for additional gain-staging for a tone from crunchy rhythms to fully saturated leads. Transform the pedal into something completely different with the Fuzz mode's over-the-top gain, Gate and Low Pass Filter.

The Triboro Bridge controls features Volume and Gain knobs to control the overall output and saturation of the tone. In Overdrive and Distortion modes, the Treble and Bass knobs act as a Baxandall EQ for simple yet effective tone shaping. In Fuzz mode the Treble knob is now the gate more, controlling the Fuzz's noise gate threshold, and the Bass knob controls a Low Pass Filter for extreme tonal variations. Additionally, the Triboro Bridge features an Input Contouring EQ which can be applied to your tone at the input, for a more modern, sculpted tone in all modes.

Tape delay is loved for its warmth and charming imperfections compared to pristine digital delays. Their preamps could be pushed to saturation and, over time, the tape in vintage delay units would degrade causing a signature warble loved by many. These signature elements are captured and packed into Electro-Harmonix's Pico Rerun tape delay. Based off the tape delay algorithm found in the Canyon Delay & Looper, the Rerun gives vintage vibes with modern features.

The Rerun features a simple control set and tap tempo for ease of use in any situation. BLEND sets the wet/dry blend. DELAY adjusts the delay time from 8ms to 3s. SAT adds tape saturation and distortion for added crunch to only the wet signal, keeping your dry signal unaffected by the added distortion. FDBK sets the level of repeats from 1 to infinite for runaway oscillation. You can also press and hold the footswitch to engage infinite repeats in an instant. The FLUTTER mode switch toggles between low, medium, and heavy modulation effects ranging from slight chorusing to seasick thickness.

Tap Tempo is simple and easy to use. Just press and release the footswitch at least two times to set the tempo and the LED will blink to confirm your tap tempo. Additionally, the Rerun also features selectable Tails bypass allowing echoes to continue after putting the pedal into bypass.

The EHX Pico Oceans 3-Verb is an ultra-compact reverb pedal packed with the essentials of ambience with plenty of flexibility and control. This Pico-sized reverberator adds the huge sounds of Spring, Plate, and Hall reverb to any pedalboard while using minimal space. Adjustable decay time, pre-delay / spring length, and tone make the Oceans 3-verb able to create a plethora of spacious sounds.

SPRING - pays homage to the classic Fenderr 6G15 tube spring reverb
PLATE - the lush, warm reverb that got its name as it was originally created by a large metal plate
HALL - the rich reverberant sound of a grand concert hall

A comprehensive control set allows for tailored sound to any setup. BLEND adjusts from 100% dry to 100% wet. TIME controls the decay time of the reverb. DELAY/SPRING sets the pre-delay time in PLATE and HALL mode or selects between 3 springs lengths in SPRING mode. The TONE control adjusts the overall brightness of the reverb from bright and airy to warm and smoky.

Additionally, TAILS bypass can be selected so the reverb continues to decay after the pedal is switched to bypass. This allows for a more natural sounding decay when turn the reverb off. Infinite Reverb can be achieved by maxing out the TIME control in both PLATE or HALL mode or by pressing and holding the footswitch. This creates a building ambient soundscape until you release the footswitch.

The EHX Pico Canyon Echo takes the digital delay from the award-winning Canyon Delay and Looper and plates it up as a single serving echo unit. Starting with a crystal clean delay, the Canyon Echo is a sweetly simple delay with 3 seconds of delay time. Don't let the size fool you, this canyon is deep! Add filtering, tap tempo, and a feedback knob capable of infinite repeats and this little echo is up to most time bending tasks.

The Canyon Echo features a BLEND knob to get the perfect wet/dry mix. The DELAY knob sets the delay time from 8ms to 3s. FEEDBACK is adjustable from 1 repeat to infinite repeats for endless delay washes and pads. Turn the FILTER knob past noon and it's a High Pass Filter while below noon it is a Low Pass Filter.

Tap Tempo is simple and easy to use. Just press and release the footswitch at least two times to set the tempo and the LED will blink to confirm your tap tempo. The tempo can then be subdivided from a quarter note to a dotted eight note to an eighth note with the TAP DIV button. Additionally, the Canyon Echo also features selectable Tails bypass so echoes continue after putting the pedal into bypass.

The Canyon Echo also features a new style of Infinite Repeats where a single delay is repeated and the input is taken out of the delay path. This makes the pedal function like a micro tape looper that can be played over without new delays being created. The micro loop can also be manipulated into warped sound effects by adjusting the DELAY knob.

The original Attack Decay Tape Reverse Simulator is known for producing volume and reverse swells, backward tape sounds, artificially short staccato notes, and bowed instrument effects. In 2019 the digital Attack Decay reissue was released, and now the Pico Attack Decay gives us volume envelope effects in a simplified, compact package.

The Pico Attack Decay allows you to dial in volume swells and decays, both in Mono mode-one volume envelope for all notes you play-and the revolutionary Poly mode where each note to has its own volume envelope creating cascading swell effects and leads with agile attack smoothing. With intuitive functionality and simple controls, the Pico Attack Decay opens up creative avenues for any player interested in pushing the (volume) envelope.

The Pico Attack Decay is both powerful and simple with four knobs and a mode button that let you create a wide variety of effects. The ATTACK knob sets the swell or fade-in speed of the volume envelope while the DECAY knob sets the fade-out speed of the volume envelope. Set the ATTACK higher for languid volume swells. Set the DECAY higher for artificially staccato notes for synth-like punches. SENS adjusts the threshold for triggering the envelope. VOL controls the overall output volume. A hidden BLEND control allows you to blend wet and dry signals for even more flexibility in tone.

Sure, he might have cracked, to some extent at least, the mass-marketed electric car, and all the best to him in the space race. Nevertheless, it's disputable whether or not he was ever quite the visionary Jeff Lynne, Roy Wood, and Bev Bevan were in the early-mid-1970s. The undisputed heyday of Electric Light Orchestra, fourth album Eldorado was arguably at the peak of their creative force. Already having firmly established their sound - a surreal hybrid of bar rock, soul, blues, and grand strings - this record really sees them explore the possibilities of that abstract brew. Better yet, ears were open enough at the time to ensure they didn't languish in obscurity, sole reserve of the obsessives or deliberately contrary listeners, and instead claimed a spot in the upper echelons of British pop at the time.

A faithful recreation of Wata’s go-to distortion pedal, the Elk BM Sustainar.
Notes: Hizumitas was designed for the one and only Wata from the legendary experimental band Boris, one of the heaviest bands ever to come out of Japan. The trio of guitar sorceress Wata, drummer and vocalist Atsuo, and double-neck bassist, guitarist and vocalist Takeshi has almost 100 releases filled with genre and brain-melting music.

In their nearly three decades together, Boris has infused doom, hardcore, thrash, noise-core, ambient, free improv, drone, psychedelia, and more into their extensive discography. Boris is also known for their unique collaborations with mutually adventurous artists, including American Doom mongers Sunn O))), noise legends Merzbow, Keiji Haino, and Ian Astbury of The Cult.

Wata, always seen and heard on stage wielding her black Les Paul Custom, mixes killer riffs with searing, fluid, or jaggedly melodic leads and controlled walls of feedback, often with help from an EBow. It's a connection of chaos and melody that has enchanted Boris fans worldwide and influenced many bands that have followed in their considerable wake. Simply stated, no other band sounds like Boris, and no other guitarist rocks like Wata.

But with EQD's Hizumitas fuzz on your pedalboard, you can carve out your own singular, mega-heavy tone.

Hizumitas is a faithful recreation of Wata's go-to distortion pedal, the Elk BM Sustainar. The Elk is a Japanese variant of the very well-known "Triangle" BMP. The designers at EQD tried several vintage BMP's during development, found that each pedal was wildly different and realized that to truly capture the magic they needed the original. Wata graciously sent her beloved pedal halfway around the world, and EQD discovered that it had something special the others didn't have: heavy saturation with a gritty edge and massive bottom while maintaining a clear and dynamic tone with enough mids and top end to cut through any sludge. The studious wizards at EQD have built all of those characteristics into the Hizumitas.

This device is true bypass and uses electronic relay-based switching. Audio will not pass without power.

This device can be powered by a 9v battery or a standard 9-volt DC power supply with a 2.1mm negative center barrel. We always recommend pedal-specific, transformer-isolated wall-wart power supplies or multiple isolated-output supplies. Pedals will make extra noise if there is ripple or unclean power. Switching-type power supplies, daisy chains and non-pedal specific power supplies do not filter dirty power as well and let through unwanted noise.

Notes: A-180-9 is another simple but useful tool. It can be used to connect up to 14 signals between different cases by means of standard network cables (RJ45). These cables are available all over world smoothly in different lengths and colours. From the factory two black network cables with 0.5 m length are enclosed.

The upper network connector is wired to the eight sockets 1-8, the lower to the six sockets A-F. That way it's possible to pre-patch different cases and connect signals, that are required in all cases (e.g. clock, start/stop, master CV) by means of one or two cables only instead of 14 individual patch cables. When only eight signals are required only the upper network connector is required and the sockets 1-8 are used. When more than eight signals have to be patched both network connectors have to be used. It's also possible to wire the upper and lower network to different cases (i.e. signals 1-8 to external case #1 and signals A-F to external case#2).

The module is fully passive (no power supply required) and simply wires the 14 sockets to 14 pins of the network connectors.

Notes: Module A-171-2 is a voltage controlled slew limiter with a lot of additional features beyond a simple slew limiter. It's mostly a licensed copy of Ken Stones VCS which is in turn based on the Serge VCS.

Typical applications:

- VC Slew Limiter / VC Portamento / VC Low Pass Gate:

Cycle switch = off, no trigger signal applied to Trig socket: Voltage controlled Slew limiter or portamento generator: the signal applied to the signal input is "slewed". The slew up and down times are controlled manually by means of the Up and Down controls, the effect of the CV Up and CV Down control voltages are controlled by the CV Up and CV Down controls, in exponential mode these controls also affect the slew shape (see symbols at the CCW and CW positions of the controls).

If an audio signal is applied an short slew rates are chosen the module works as a simple VCF/VCA combo.

- A/D Envelope Generator / Pulse Delay / Subharmonic Generator:

Cycle switch = off, trigger signal applied to Trig socket, no input signal: Simple Attack/Decay envelope Generator, the rise and fall times are controlled like the slew up/down times above, including the shape of the falling/rising slope of the envelope, the exp. CV input can be used to change both attack and decay simultaneously.

At the End output a pulse appears as the end of the envelope is reached (less than about 20mV), this can be used as a pulse delay.

If a series of triggers are applied to the VCS faster than the total rise and fall times, the module will divide the incoming signal by a whole number. In the audio range the output will be the sub-harmonic series.

- VCLFO / VCO:

Cycle switch = on, no trigger signal applied to Trig socket, no input signal: Voltage controlled LFO/VCO, the rise and fall times of the waveform are controlled like the slew up/down times above, including the shape of the falling/rising slope
the exp. CV input can be used like the CV input of a VCO or VCLFO, the response is exponential but not exactly 1V/oct.

Notes: Module A-160-5 is a voltage controlled clock multiplier. The incoming clock signal (socket Clock In) is multiplied by a factor that depends upon the control voltage on socket CV In (0...+5V) and the position of the Mode switch. The multiplied clock signal is available at the socket Clock Out. According to the position of the Mode switch different clock multiplying factors are assigned to the control voltage. With 0V CV no clock output is generated. This state is indicated by "all LEDs off". With increasing CV integer factors (left position of the mode switch), power of two factors (middle position) or a mix of both (right position) are obtained. Nine LEDs are used to show the currently selected multiplying factor. In addition two LEDs are used to display the incoming and outgoing clock signal.

A manual control is used to adjust the clock multiplication factor manually without the need of an external control voltage. The voltage generated by this control ("Manual") is normalled to the CV In socket. As long as no plug is inserted into the CV In socket the clock multiplication factor is adjusted by means of the manual control knob and displayed by the LEDs. For dynamic applications (like the ratcheting function described below) the manually generated CV is overwritten by the external CV which has to be fed into the CV In socket.

The module can be used for all kind of clock multiplying applications. One important example is the generation of so-called ratcheting sequences. The band Tangerine Dream is famous for this kind of sequences. A normal sequencer generates only one gate signal per step. A ratcheting sequence may have also more than one gate pulses per step. This function can be obtained by using the A-160-5: one CV output of the sequencer is used to define the number of gate pulses per step. If the control of the step in question is fully CCW the generated CV is 0V and no gate signal is generated (mute of the step). When the control of the step in question is turned clockwise one, two or more gate pulses are generated depending upon the position of the mode switch and the voltage generated by the CV at this step.

Technical note: Due to the nature of clock multiplying it takes a few input clock pulses until the clock output is stable. One has to average a few input clock pulses to generate the multiplied clock output signal. Even when the input clock frequency changes it will take a few cycles until the output clock signal is correct as the module cannot foresee the future of the clock input signal. The generated clock output signal is derived from the last few cycles of the clock input signal. Consequently the module should be driven only by a clock signal with constant or slowly changing frequency.

Notes: Module A-160-2V is an enhanced version of the standard clock divider A-160. The module is a frequency divider for clock/trigger/gate signals, designed to be a source of lower frequencies, particularly for rhythm uses.

The Clock input will take any digital signal from, eg., an LFO, MIDI sync, or the gate from a MIDI-CV interface. At the outputs, you have access to three sets of seven different sub-divided clock signals, from half the clock frequency down to 1/128. The low/high levels of the output signals are 0V and about +10V.

The A-160-2V also has a reset input. Whenever a reset signal is sensed, all outputs are set to certain levels which depend upon the selected mode.

Notes: Module A-149-1 is the first module of the A-149-x range. In this group we present by popular request several functions of Don Buchla's "Source of Uncertainty 265/266" (SOU) modules that cannot be realized with existing A-100 modules. Many functions of Buchla's 265 and 266 SOU can be realized with existing A-100 modules. For details please refer to A-100 patch examples.

Module A-149-1 has available four different analogue random control voltages that are generated in different ways.

The "Quantized Random Voltages" section has available 2 CV outputs: "N+1 states" and "2N states". N is an integer number in the range 1...6 that can be adjusted with the manual control (Man N) and an external control voltage CVN with attenuator. Whenever the rising edge of the input clock signal (Clk In) appears a new random voltage is generated at the N+1 resp. 2N output. The N+1 output is capable to generate N+1 different voltage levels (or states), the 2N output up to 2N different states. If for example N is set to 4 the N+1 output generates up to 5, the 2N output 16 different states. The voltage steps of the 2N output are adjusted to 1/12 V in the factory. Consequently, exact semitones can be obtained in combination with a VCO. The voltage steps of the n+1 output are adjusted to 1.0 V in the factory corresponding to octave intervals in combination with a VCO. For each output a trimming potentiometer is available on the pc board that enables the user to select other voltage steps for the output in question.

Even the "Stored Random Voltages" section has 2 stepped CV outputs available: one with even voltage distribution of the max. 256 output states and second one with adjustable voltage distribution probability. The distribution probability is adjusted by a manual control (Man D) and an external control voltage CVD with attenuator. With the control set fully counter-clockwise most of the random voltages will be low magnitude but even medium and high magnitude voltages may appear but with smaller probability. As the control is turned to the right (or a positive control voltage appears at the CVD input) the distribution moves through medium to high magnitude voltage probability. Quad VCLFO module - 4HP.
Notes: Module A-147-5v contains four voltage controlled low frequency oscillators (VCLFO) with triangle waveform outputs. All LFOs share a common frequency control. Each of the LFOs 2, 3 features a Delta control which is used to shift the frequency of the LFO in question up or down. With the Delta controls at center positions the frequencies of all LFOs are roughly the same. To control the frequencies by external control voltages four CV inputs are available which follow roughly the 1V/oct standard.

The module has these controls and in/outputs available:

Control F: manual control of the frequency for all four LFOs
Control Delta F2, F3 and F4: manual control of the frequency shift up/down for the LFO in question
Sockets CV 1...4: Frequency control voltage inputs (normalled from top to bottom)
Sockets with triangle symbol 1...4: triangle outputs
LEDs: visual displays of the triangle outputs (red = positive, yellow = negative output voltage)

Application examples:

Generation of four triangle modulation signals with a common frequency control for all LFOs and individual controls for the frequency deviation of each LFO, manually adjustable and controllable by external control voltages
Generation of modulation signals for polyphonic FM/PWM applications. For this the four CV inputs are connected to the same control voltages which are used to control the frequencies of the corresponding VCOs. That way each LFO follows the frequency of the associated VCO with the possibility to control the frequency of all VCOs (control F) and the frequency deviations (Delta F controls). For the simultaneous modulation depth control the Quad VCA module A-130-4 is recommended.
Generation of complex modulation signals by summing up the outputs (e.g. by means of a mixer module A-138n / A-138i / A-138j)

Technical notes:

The level of the triangle outputs is about +/-5V (10Vpp)
The manually adjustable frequency ranges from about 0.025 Hz (about 40 seconds) to about 50 Hz with the delta controls of LFOs 2, 3 and 4 about center position
The frequency deviations adjusted by the delta controls are about +/-1:5. Example: with 1 Hz in center position the frequency shift ranges from about 0.2 Hz in position -5 to about 5 Hz in position +5 (1 Hz/5 = 0.2 Hz, 1 Hz*5 = 5 Hz).
The manual frequency controls and the control voltage inputs have an exponential control behavior
With external control voltage the max. frequency is about 150 Hz, the minimum frequency
The scale of the CV inputs is roughly 1V/oct (not adjustable)
The CV inputs are normalled from top to bottom. Provided that only socket CV1 is patched CV1 controls the frequencies of all four LFOs.
When each CV input is patched to it's own control voltage each LFO is controlled individually by it's own CV. In this case CV1 controls only the frequency of LFO1.
Internally the rectangle outputs are available at four terminals (typ level +/-10V or 20Vpp). If required they can be wired to four sockets of a DIY breakout module made by the user, 1k protection resistors are recommended to avoid short circuits. If lower levels are required passive attenuators (voltage dividers) may be used.
Internally is even an (unbufferd) triangle sum signal available. For this each of the four triangle outputs is simply connected to the sum output terminal via a 47k resistor. This output has high impedance and should be buffered or amplified to avoid level drop when the load changes (e.g. by means of an A-180-3 or A-180-4 or A-183-3).

By changing the values of the capacitors in the LFO circuits even other frequency ranges are possible (e.g. Quad VCO to form kind of a cloud VCO). Pay attention that the accuracy of the CV input scales is not sufficient for precise 1V/oct VCO applications. The 1V/Oct scales cannot be adjusted and the circuits are not temperature compensated.

Module consisting of voltage-controlled low frequency oscillator (LFO) & voltage controlled amplifier (VCA) - 8HP
Notes: Module A-147-2 is the successor of the VCLFO A-147 but offers much more features than the predecessor. The module is made of these sub-units:

- VCLFO: voltage controlled low frequency oscillator
- VCA: voltage controlled amplifier, switchable to voltage controlled polarizer
- VC delay unit: voltage controlled linear attack envelope (only one parameter: attack) for delayed LFO operation in combination with the VCA (e.g. delayed vibrato/tremolo)

LFO: The voltage controlled LFO has the waveforms Triangle, Sine, Sawtooth and Rectangle available and features a Reset/Sync input. Triangle/Sine and Rectangle are displayed by means of dual-colour LEDs (probably red/green), Sawtooth has a unicolor LED available (probably blue). The output levels are about -4V...+4V for Triangle, Sine and Rectangle. The Sawtooth level is about 0...+8V.

The CV control can be switched to attenuator or polarizer ("CV Mode" switch). In polarizer mode the CV inputs affects the frequency in the reverse manner when the CV control is left from the centre position. In the centre position CV has no effect and right from the centre the control works like a normal attenuator. The frequency range (without external CV) is from about 0,005 Hz (i.e. about 3 minutes per period) to 200 Hz (with external CV max. frequency about 1kHz). In addition a ultra-low mode can be activated by means of an internal jumper. When the ultra-low jumper is set a fixed voltage is connected to the switching contact of the "LFO CV" socket. In polarizer mode of the CV control that way extremely low frequencies (up to one hour period and more) are possible. For this a jumper has to be installed on the pin header JP6. In the factory a dummy jumper is installed on the pin header JP7 "Dummy". JP7 has no function and is used only for "parking" of the jumper. Simply remove the jumper from JP7 and plug it on JP6. JP6 is located behind the CV control.

VCA: This is a linear VCA that can be switched to "normal" VCA (i.e. kind of a voltage controlled attenuator) or voltage controlled polarizer ("VCA Mode" switch). In the "normal" VCA mode amplification +1 is achieved with about +5V control voltage. In polarizer mode the amplification ranges from about -0.5 (i.e. inverted signal with about 50% level) with 0V CV to +0.5 (i.e. non-inverted signal with about 50% level) with +5V CV. With about +2.5V CV the signal is suppressed. Details about the functioning of a voltage controlled polarizer can be found in the description of the module A-133. In this mode the VCA can be treated also a DC coupled ring modulator (similar to A-114).

The VCA of the A-147-2 has three sockets available: "In" (signal input), "Out" (signal output) and "CV" (control voltage input).

The Triangle Output of the LFO is normalled to the VCA signal input by means of the switching contact of the "VCA In" socket. If another LFO waveform (or any other signal) should be processed by the VCA the corresponding signal has to be patched to the "VCA In" socket. The VCA can be used also independently from the LFO and the Delay CV. In this case the VCA sockets In, Out and CV have to be patched accordingly. The VCA can be used also as waveshaper for the LFO signals (e.g. by patching VCA In and VCA CV to different LFO signals, if necessary via attenuator A-183-1 or offset generator/attenuator A-183-2).

Attack/Delay: The third sub-unit of the module is a simple, voltage controlled envelope generator that has only the parameter "Delay" (or Attack) available. This unit generates a linear increasing voltage that starts from 0V after each Delay Reset until it reaches about +5V. Then the voltage remains at +5V until the next Delay Reset occurs. The inclination or gradient is controlled by the manual Delay control and the Delay control voltage ("Delay CV" input). The waveform is linear, the control scale is exponential. The output voltage is displayed by a green LED and available at the "Delay Out" socket.

The manual Delay control ranges - without external "Delay CV" - from about 5ms (fully CW) up to 2 minutes (fully CCW). By means of an external voltage applied to the "Delay CV" socket this range can be extended. A rising CV shortens the delay time (behaviour like a VCO)!

The Delay output voltage ranges from about 0V to +5V. The rising edge of the gate, clock or trigger signal applied to the "Delay Reset" sockets resets the Delay output voltage to 0 V.

"Delay Out" is normalled to the VCA CV input by means of the switching contact of the "VCA CV" socket and consequently controls the Triangle level provided that no other patch is made. A typical example is the usage of a Gate signal (e.g. from a USB/Midi-to-CV/Gate interface) as Delay Reset. That way a delayed vibrato or tremolo can be realized if the VCA output is patched to the frequency CV input of a VCO (or VCF), or the CV input of a VCA.

Notes: Module A-138j is a four channel mixer with an additional polarity/mute switch for each input. In the upper position of the corresponding switch the inverted signal is used. In the center position the input in question is turned off (mute) and in the lower position the "normal" (i.e. non-inverted) signal is used. The inverting of signals is used especially for control voltage signals (e.g. LFO, ADSR). But even for corellated audio signals this feature is useful. For example for feedback applications or the mixing of original and processed signals (e.g. original and filtered signal to obtain new filter types).
Channel 1 features in addition an Offset function: provided that no plug is inserted into socket Input 1 control Lev.1 generates an adjustable DC voltage (positive or negative depending upon the position of the polarity switch).
On top of that the module is equipped with two types of single outputs and a dual mix output. All inputs and outputs are DC coupled. Consequently the VCAs can be used to mix both audio and control voltages.
Each input is - apart from the polarity/mute switch - equipped with a linear attenuator. The amplification range is 0....1.
The single outputs offer the attenuated and possibly inverted/muted signal of the channel in question. Two version of single outputs are available:

Single Output A: If a plug is inserted into the single output "A" socket the channel in question is removed from the sum signal.
Single Output B: If a plug is inserted into the single output "B" socket the channel in question is not removed from the sum signal. This type of single outputs is available only for the channels 1 and 2.
Based on this flexible structure each channel can be used also individually as attenuator or inverter (i.e. without mixer function).

The output is twice available (two sockets, hard-wired like a multiple).

The distances between the controls and sockets are smaller as for the standard A-100 modules and rubberized small-sized knobs are used. In return the front panel has 6 HP width only. The module is primarily planned for applications where only limited space is available.

Notes: A-135-2 is a miniature version of the A-135-1. Behind a front panel with 8 HP only four linear VCAs (voltage controlled amplifiers) and a voltage controlled mixer based on the VCAs are available.

Controls, In/Outputs and Functions of each VCA:

- All output: sum of all VCA outputs, regardless of inserted plugs into the VCA outputs
- The maximal amplification is about 0.6 to avoid clipping at the mixer outputs (otherwise the outputs may distort with 15Vpp signals at each signal input and full amplifications)

Special functions of the voltage controlled mixers (selectable by internal jumpers):

- Dual Stereo VCA: In this case the control unit of VCA1 (L1 + CV1) affects also VCA3 and the control unit of VCA2 (L2 + CV2) affects also VCA4, the control units of VCA2 and VCA4 are out of operation
- Quad VCA: In this case the control unit of VCA1 (L1 + CV1) affects all four VCAs. The control units of VCA2, VCA3 and VCA4 are out of operation. In this mode the module has the same function as module A-132-2. That's why module A-132-2 will be discontinued.
- Normalling of the signal inputs: by means of internal jumpers signal input 1 can be normalled to signal input 2, signal input 2 to signal input 3 and signal input 3 to signal input In 4. That way the same input signal can be distributed to four different channels by means of control voltages (e.g. quadrophonic distribution of audio signals). Suitable control voltage sources are e.g. A-144 (Morphing Controller) or A-143-9 (Quadrature LFO).
