Ennio Morricone's legacy is well known across the world, or at least the world of cinephiles. The legendary film composer is responsible or no less than 400 movie and TV scores (in fact, he's made a few more), with a 100-strong oeuvre of classical compositions to add to that storied back catalogue. Sadly lost last year at the age of 91- unrelated to coronavirus - much of his work is now rightfully returning to the release schedule.

Of course, none of his output can match the music he created to accompany Spaghetti Westerns - Italian made cowboy movies from directors such as another late-great, Sergio Leone, including The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and A Fistful of Dollars. 134 of the finest arrangements from that part of his life are included on this mammoth collector's item, which proves you don't really need visuals to be transported to the wild frontier towns of yesterday.

Notes: Particle is a granular delay / pitch shifting pedal. It chops your signal into small grains and then rearranges, shifts, and mangles it, using the techniques of granular synthesis in real time. Results range from radical pitch and delay modulation to shimmering repeats to time stretching, stutter, and glitch sounds.

Being able to control the amplitude of signals throughout a patch is therefore essential, and one can never have too many voltage controlled amplifiers (VCAs).

Designed as a fully-featured modulation hub for Eurorack synthesisers, Morph 4 takes the basic concept of the multi-VCA module to the next level.

Four linear amplitude modulators are controlled by a master 'morph' parameter. The response of each modulator to this parameter is completely variable, both manually and under voltage control, and can be overridden if desired. Each response is triangular, with the 'position' parameter setting the maximum point along the morph axis, while 'span' determines the width of the triangle's base.

In addition to separate signal inputs and outputs, a variety of combined outputs is available as well: A+B, C+D, add (unity gain) and averaging mixes, and instantaneous minimum and maximum. Input normalisation makes it easy to send the same signal to multiple modulators, while output and modulator response LEDs provide essential visual feedback.

BIM is a 12-bit stereo delay unit inspired by some studio delay processors built in the early 80s. These monophonic processors have been renowned for the quality and musicality of their sound. Cursus Iteritas Alia is Noise Engineering's take on a wavetable-inspired additive oscillator. Cursus creates sounds from a dynamically generated wavetable, then gives the user spectral controls to sculpt and modulate. Cursus has three different algorithms, based on different conceptualizations of frequency: Fourier, which uses sine waves; Daubechies, using wavelets; and Walsh mode, using the Walsh transform. All that math is hidden behind a set of friendly controls that produces an extremely wide variety of harmonic sounds, perfect for melodic sound design. Cursus has long been regarded as the gentlest Iteritas, but if you need some beef and extra low end, try mixing the suboscillator output into your patch.

Notes: The next generation 12 stage, analogue multi tap Phaser, which is a development of, and replacement for, our earlier MegaPhase 12 unit. It includes all the features of the MegaPhase 12 and is also built around the circuitry of the superb sounding EH Smallstone Phaser, which was used to such great effect on synthesisers and string machines by J M Jarre on his early albums. It has the same versatile Stage and Emphasis stage switching, and the same configuration of stereo outputs, where the left channel is taken from the Stage switch, and the Right output from the Emphasis Stage Switch.

New features include independent Level Controls for Input 1 and Input 2, and a Phase "Colour" Control, which can lighten or darken the phasing effect. We have also used much lower noise internal VCA's and low noise audio op-amps along with a four layer PCB design, so that the S/N ratio is improved and the noise floor is considerably reduced compared with the previous MegaPhase 12 phaser. Like its predecessor it occupies 18HP of Eurorack space.

Notes: The Ar Merc'het Brao pedal is comprised of two filters and two overdrive sections.

The filters are resonant with a slope of -12dB. A switch allows to switch each filter from LowPass to HighPass. The filter cut-offs are voltage controlled thanks to dedicated CV inputs. Additionally, the Ar Merc'het Brao features global controls for cut-off and resonance.

It can be used with a stereo signal or with two mono signals. The module is modular as well as guitar friendly.

Both overdrive sections offer the classic and well known TouellSkouarn distortion sound.

Notes: Mimetic Digitalis is a 10HP step sequencer optimized for live use. MD includes four individually editable CV outputs and a trigger out. Each step can be manually programmed or use MD to live record CV sequences using the encoder. The zero button mutes the CV at a step and shred randomizes the voltage. Save and load up to 16 patterns. Edit a pattern and use undo to return to the unedited version.

Basimilus Iteritas Alia is a parameterized digital drum voice with its roots in the analogue world. At its heart, the BIA is a simple six-oscillator additive and FM synthesizer with waveform, harmonic spread, and envelope controls. An adjustable noise oscillator and an extreme take on a wavefolder round out its synthesis abilities. Its straightforward controls make sound design fun and performable: create sub-shaking kicks, snares, hats, and unique drum hits with just a few tweaks.

BIA is a classic percussion module but you'll be blown away by how much more it can do. Use it for leads, basslines, or build a whole drum kit with some external CV. Plus, the envelope output means you can use the BIA for shaping and modulating other parts of your patch.

Designed with live performance in mind, Moskwa II takes inspiration from vintage analog sequencers and greatly expands on their functionality surpassing our original Moskwa rotosequencer, while retaining the same size, basic panel structure, and operation principles.

At the core of the module is an 8-step CV sequencer and a parallel 8-step gate/trigger sequencer. But there's more, much more. Besides these basic functions, Moskwa II offers more unique, advanced features like eight independent programmable gate/trigger pattern generators (one for each step of the sequence). You can treat them like sequencers within the sequencer offering another eight microsteps for each main sequence step. This allows for programming complex gate/trigger rhythmic patterns (e.g. step repeat, additional pauses, microshifting or swing effect).

Moskwa II features two independent randomization sections that give the user advanced control over the optional chaotic/random change of various sequence parameters (e.g. step order, slew and trigger probability and more). A programmable custom trigger sequence can be up to 256 steps long! Topping it all off, Moskwa II can store eight presets to be loaded at any time. All these functions allow Moskwa II to generate sequences much longer and much more complex than those produced by traditional 8-step sequencers.

Compared to the first Moskwa, Xaoc have also added a transport button for manual starting/stopping of the sequence, range control for CV output, and a flexible quantizer. Two Moskwa II units can be joined for chained operation doubling the number of available steps and preset slots. Ostankino II expander adds CV inputs for many Moskwa II functions, as well as a transpose input, clock out and individual gate/bit outputs for each step.

"Nano" is a full-fledged virtual analogue synth with a broad array of features and customisable parameters. The synth engine has dual oscillators with optional ring modulation, a 4-pole state-variable filter with soft clipping distortion, built-in EG and built-in multi-waveform LFO.

Sequencing powerhouse

At the heart of Drumlogue is a flexible, easy-to-use, and extremely powerful 64-step sequencer. This makes it easy to create complex patterns and polyrhythms that elevates the music creation process. Innovative features are available including per-step probability, per-step alternate trigger patterns, per-step micro offsets, per-track groove patterns and much more. With the clear OLED display, it's also easy to follow and edit your sequences visually.

Chain mode makes creating long and interesting patterns simple. In loop mode you can switch between several variations to play sequences in new and interesting ways. The Motion and Accent recording functions are fast and intuitive, and if you want to try new things on your track, the randomisation function is there to help you.

Effects and customisation

Drumlogue has high-quality effects across three categories that can be used simultaneously: delay, reverb and master effects. The send amounts for delay and reverb effects are set independently, with multiple return points also available. Master effects add that final polish to the sound and can be bypassed on a per-part basis, meaning it's possible to send the effect to specific audio parts. A sidechain bus is also available to the master effects section.

Drumlogue has an audio input, so you can process other instruments through Drumlogue's effect chain, making it an ideal companion for your studio setup.

Connectivity

With a wide range of I/O, Drumlogue can be integrated seamlessly with your rig. A USB-A port supports connectivity with USB MIDI class-compliant devices, meaning volumes can be controlled with the faders on a nanoKONTROL 2, or sounds triggered by the pads on a nanoPAD 2.
It almost goes without saying that Drumlogue easily syncs with other gear via the MIDI in/out, sync in/out, or via USB MIDI.

Four individual outputs are available, in addition to headphone and main L/R. Any part can be assigned to any output, allowing for expanded routing versatility with external processing and multi-track integration.

Ease of use

Drumlogue is incredibly easy to use - having been designed with simplicity and accessibility in mind. The most important parameters for the main drum parts have dedicated knobs on the front panel for on-the-fly adjustments, as well as dedicated volume pots for each part to speed up the mixing process.

A wide and clear OLED screen coupled with a simple UI and 4 dedicated encoder knobs makes the navigation process fast and smooth.

Notes: The Serge Dual Universal Slope Generator (DSG) is probably the most versatile module of a Serge Modular system, incorporating a wide range of functions for both CV and audio. Some functions for which one Slope Generator can be used: VC Transient Envelope Generator, VC LFO, VC Portamento device, Envelope Follower (Detector), VC Pulse Delay (Monostable), Sub-Harmonic Series Generator (Divider), Audio Oscillator with variable waveform symmetry (saw to triangle), Non-Linear Audio Processor (low-fidelity VCF).

From the catalog: "The Universal Slope Generators are unity gain voltage followers with voltage controllable slopes. Notes: The Variable Q VCF (or VCFQ, for short) from Random Source is a skiff-friendly Eurorack adaptation of what is perhaps the most famous Serge filter. It is an effortlessly thick and colorful 12dB/oct multimode filter with ultra-smooth resonance that never ceases to amaze. Amazing tonal variety comes from combining outputs, automating resonance settings via CV, and adding grit using its adjustable-gain input.

Simple filtration is only one of the VCFQ's many uses, however. Its amazing trigger input turns rising-edge pulses into thick analog kicks and toms which roughly track notes thanks to a dedicated 1V/oct input. This module also becomes an ultra-powerful modulator in "Lo" mode, with decaying/syncable LFOs well within grasp using the trigger input, along with free-running oscillation when self-patched. When fed stepped sequences, sample and hold, or other LFOs, the VCFQ can even function as an effective slew limiter. Balanced S-Shaped Tone Arm with Upgraded Tone Arm Base:

The RP-7000 MK2 features a statically balanced S-shaped tone arm with hydraulic lift and anti-skating mechanism. The newly developed tone arm base provides improved stability and adjustable height/vertical tracking angle (VTA). The low-resonance tone arm comes with a universal connection for pick-up cartridge systems (SME).

Dual Start/Stop Buttons, Precise Motor Control and Reverse Function:

As well as the above technical innovations, the RP-7000 MK2 is equipped with a few functions that will make any DJ's life much easier. The newly developed aluminium LED target light is freely moveable to help you find the stylus position in dark surroundings. The target light is also removable and easily exchanged. An additional start/stop button has also been integrated to facilitate a vertical setup (battle position) and by using the buttons on the RP-7000 MK2's top panel, you can switch between the three motor speeds (33 1/3, 45 & 78 rpm). Dedicated buttons for forward and reverse mode allow for further creativity in your mix.

High-Resolution Pitch Section with Digital Fader:

Using the high-resolution pitch fader you can adjust the platter speed in the classic turntable pitch range +/-8%. However, the RP-7000 MK2 is also cable of a wider, DJ-friendly +/- 16% pitch range and a massive +/-50% ultra-pitch. This allows for increased creativity when modulating the playing record's tone. If quartz lock is active, the platter speed will remain unaffected by the fader position and will spin at zero pitch (0%).

High-Quality Connections and Integrated Phono Pre-Amp:

Thanks to the recessed rear connection panel, the RP-7000 MK2 can easily be mounted in a flight case and seamlessly positioned next to other DJ gear. The switchable integrated phono pre-amp makes it is possible to use the gold-plated RCA connectors for both phono and line output signals. An optional ground terminal offers additional protection in club environments. All cable connections (RCA/mains) are detachable and easy to exchange, which also helps with transport and storage.

Powerful Motor with Extensive Adjustment Possibilities:

The fine-tuned, quartz-driven motor with digital pitch correction operates at a starting torque of 2.8kg/cm, which can be adjusted up to a maximum of 4.5kg/cm. This makes it an extremely smooth running turntable with wow and flutter of just 0.01% WRMS*. Furthermore, the turntable break speed (platter stop) can be adjusted from 0.2 - 6 seconds and the precision-machined, heavy die-cast aluminium platter is lined with vibration reducing rubber to eliminate unwanted vibrations and resonance.

ZED-10FX features a responsive 3-band, swept mid frequency EQ design which utilises MusiQ - with optimised slope (or Q factor) for equalising individual instruments.

ZED-10FX has an essential selection of 16 time-delay effects, designed for small groups who don't want to carry around an effects unit with their gear but who still want great quality FX at their gigs and on their recordings. Our DSP engineers worked hard, crafting and refining beautiful reverb algorithms to enhance every performance. These effects are available nowhere else at this price point - this quality and integration is only available from the ZED-FX. ZED effects are easily controlled using 3 buttons with 9 display LEDs. For example, the ideal delay time can be quickly tapped-in, or the perfect amount of reverb on the lead vocal can be dialled-in. And with a "one-knob-per-parameter" interface, LINNAEUS inspires sonic creativity that invites (and rewards) real-time interaction.

LINNAEUS's cutoff/resonant frequency is exponentially voltage controllable from sub-audio to ultrasonic frequencies, while its resonant gain (Q) is exponentially voltage controllable from 0dB to greater than 60dB.

LINNAEUS's channel output response characteristics are independently and continuously variable from Lowpass, through Bandpass, Highpass and Notch, to Low and High Shelving characteristics. Voltage control of the response characteristics are independently selectable for each of the two channels.

The linear thru-zero modulation is provided by an integrated modulation oscillator and/or an External Linear FM modulation input.

The voltage-controllable modulation oscillator can track the filter's exponential frequency or operate independently. The modulation oscillator's output waveform is continuously variable from Off through Sine, Triangle, and Sawtooth, to Square. The modulation oscillator output is summed with the external linear FM input and applied to the modulation index VCA, which controls the linear thru-zero modulation index from zero to 8X. The modulation index is, of course, also voltage controllable.

ROOMS is a stereo, multi-function digital reverb capable of searing volume, gated walls of sound, and long, trailing reverberant ambiances with an intuitive array of controls designed with live mood-bending in mind.

ROOMS was designed to the highest standards of flexibility and audio fidelity. A studio-quality mixer section provides independent DRY and FX controls over six meticulously programmed reverb algorithms; ROOM, DIGIT, PEAK, GATE, WAVE, and GONG. Each different verb is capable of a universe of sounds, and ROOMS is here to help you explore them.

ROOMS' creative I/O switching and dual-mono dry signal lines allow for a wealth of possible mono and stereo configurations, making it easy to route signals for parallel processing or stereo amplifier setups.

Controls

FREQ: Controls the frequency parameter of the current mode.

DEPTH: Controls the depth parameter of the current mode.

TIME: Controls the reverb time in all modes.

DRY: Controls the volume of the dry signal, from -inf to 20x gain.

FX: Controls the volume of the reverb signal, from -inf to 20x gain.

ALT: Engages the ALT mode, switching between two sets of controls. When active, FREQ is controlled with the F knob, DEPTH with the D knob, and TIME with the T knob. Additionally, the ALT mode turns on expression control of either FREQ or TIME using the F?T Switch on the side of the pedal. NOTE: Expression control ONLY works in ALT mode and when an expression pedal is plugged in.

Expression Pedal: Almost any expression pedal will work with ROOMS. When not plugged in, the controls work as normal. NOTE: Expression control ONLY controls the F or T knobs when ALT mode is engaged and when an expression pedal is plugged in.

Its design fuses the experience of playing an instrument you don't actually touch, with a powerful sound engine derived from Moog's award winning synthesizer, Animoog. The Theremini guarantees immediate success to anyone at any skill level or physical ability, while also providing new ways to experiment with music, education, and gestural control.

Assistive pitch correction allows each player to adjust the instrument's level of playing difficulty. When activated the Theremini will play every note in a selected scale perfectly, making it impossible to play a wrong note. As the assistive pitch correction is decreased, more expressive control of pitch and vibrato becomes possible. When deactivated, the Theremini will perform as a traditional Theremin and there is absolutely no pitch correction.

A built-in tuner supplies real-time visual feedback of each note as it is played, as well as its proximity to perfection. This is useful for correcting a user's playing position, and for educating younger players about pitch and scales.

The Presets section of the Theremini allows you to select from 32 wave or wavetable-based presets, store a selected scale, set and recall a specified playing range, and specify settings for the included stereo delay and more.

Recessed in the top of the Theremini is a compact speaker perfect for private rehearsal and quick setup anywhere. Silent rehearsal is also possible via the front panel headphone jack. Simply plug in ear-buds or headphones and the built-in speaker becomes silent.

For live performance and gestural control, the rear panel of the Theremini features stereo line level audio outputs, a Pitch CV output with selectable range, and a mini USB jack for MIDI connectivity to the free Theremini Mac / Windows software editor and Theremini iPad editor.
