14HP analog voltage controlled filter in Eurorack format
Notes: The VCF-74 is a 14HP voltage controlled filter in Eurorack format. VCF-74 features a dual analogue high-pass and low-pass filter, cascaded (series, from HP > LP). The discrete diode filter circuit is inspired by the 1970s Univox Mini-Korg synthesizer's "Traveller" filter section which provides warm, organic sound to your modular system. However, this design was not only adapted for Eurorack, but is feature enhanced for a wide array of possible filter characteristics.

A stage boost switch allows you to drive the 2nd filter section (Low-Pass) with a +5.3dB signal boost from the High-Pass output signal creating a warm saturation and varied resonance to signal ratio/dynamics. Independent manual resonance controls per filter section allows you to fine-tune a wide variety of focused sound. Input and Output level controls allow you to optimize dynamic range, including how hard you drive the filter--which drastically changes the dynamic interplay between signal and harmonic resonance. Both High-Pass and Low-Pass circuits have independent cutoff controls. Independent CV inputs for cutoff and resonance of each filter section, and attenuation/gain for CV to cutoff provide superior control over filter behaviour. The VCF-74 can be set up as a Low-Pass, High-Pass, or Band-Pass filter. Width of the Band-Pass can be adjusted by simply dialling in the offset controls appropriately.

What are the changes for the new MK2 version of VCF-74?

- The faceplate will look exactly the same, except the addition of "MK2" nomenclature screen printed
- The audio signal path will have slightly lower frequency response as a result of component value changes
- The audio signal path will now use fewer coupling capacitors (more direct-coupled circuits mean better performance, less slewing).
- Added buffer circuits at the input and final filter-to-output stage (which will improve performance)
- Added calibration trim-pots for resonance control.
- Revised "local" power supply filtering scheme to improve PSR for the discrete (Class-A) filter stages.
- Added ESD protection (ESD suppressor diodes) to each front panel jack.
- Changed power inlet header from 16P to 10P.
- Widened range for LOW PASS cutoff control

Dual filter module with flexible routing & excellent audio properties - 24HP
Notes: There is almost no modular system without at least one filter-module. You can look at them as the stars within the giant Eurorack-jungle. twinVCFilter is such a star as well. A dual filter module with flexible routing and excellent audio properties. It covers a huge range of different applications without the slightest effort.

Features and Routing:

Each filter section of twinVCFilter works as low- or highpass-filter with a slope of 12 dB/octave or as bandpass-filter with 6 db/octave. Signals can be directed in three ways through the module:

- Serial: The incoming signal passes both filter sections in a row.
- Dual: The filter sections act completely separated of each other. As if they were two individual filter modules.
- Parallel: The incoming signal passes both filters at the same time.

With these routings you can i.e. generate bandpasses or notches with variable slopes and different resonance settings or doubling the filter's slope. These are the more obvious combinations but there is a lot more to discover.

The convenient link-feature allows to couple cutoff- and resonance of both filter sections for straightforward stereo use in dual mode.

Mix section:

The flexible signal-routing is supplemented by the mix-section. Here you can crossfade both filter sections manually or by control voltages. Seamless movements from low- to highpass-filter, is as easy as crossfading from half to doubled slope. Of course you can mix two completely individual signals or toggle between them by using a rectangle-LFO-modulation.

Resonance:

Resonance is a key factor in the context of sound-shaping and sound-generation using a filter. Therefore we carefully trimmed twinVCFilter's resonance to be as musically and stable as possible. You can apply subtle frequency-dependent emphasis to signals and tear them up to self-oscillation. The latter generates a solid sine-wave which is an excellent base for percussive sounds. Possible cross-modulations significantly enhance the sound-generator features. By the way: If you are missing a vibrato-LFO in a patch, twinVCFilter can do the job.

twinVCFilter offers a huge set of features to form impressive soundscapes. It can take subtle influence to signals or massively truncate frequencies. It leaves nothing to be desired. Despite, for those who need additional possibilities we especially designed the tVCF-Extension module.

Transformer isolatoed audio interface synth module

Four-channel voltage controlled polarizer featuring four identical attenuators - 10HP
Notes: You never can have enough modules that influence levels - be it for audio signals or control voltages.

quadroPOL is a four-channel polarizer module. It can attenuate any incoming signal, in-phase or out of phase. One of its most special features is the way each channel's level control works. Instead of having one dedicated zero-point, it has a "dead zone" where the input signal will be completely suppressed. Thus, you will easily find the off-position, even without a centre-click, while, at the same time you'll be able to create extremely sensitive level increases.

Further outstanding features are:

- A channel's output signal will optionally be forwarded to the next one, which allows the use of quadroPOL as a mixer-module. This way you can sum up to four signals.
- The module can be controlled via control voltages. Beside manually setting the level you can use each channel as VCA. You never can have enough VCAs in a modular system, can you?

Three attenuator-amplifier combinations with individual & mix outputs - 10HP
Notes: Neat amp/mixer/attenuator utility module from Vermona. Not much more to say about this one. It makes things louder and quieter or blends them together. What more do you want?

Supplier notes:
Regardless of the size of your modular system, the number of modules it contains and its intended use, there is basically only one thing at stake: level adjustments. Often the full level of a signal is too high and needs to be attenuated. Also the reverse case, that it is too low, occurs more often than you think - an amplifier is needed.

Amplinuator 3 cleverly combines both functions. The LEVEL controls attenuate input signals to zero (left stop) or boost them by a factor of two (right stop). In the centre position, the levels remain unchanged. In order to ensure sensitive settings in the centre position range, we deliberately omitted the use of a potentiometer with centre detent. Instead, the knob has a dead zone. This guarantees a reliable finding of the zero position. Each of the three channels has outputs with positive and inverted polarity.

The sum section combines all signals. Amplinuator 3 also works as a 3-in-1 mixer. It likes audio signals and control voltages equally.

Notes: Each channel has a mono input and a gain control. The level can be set manually with a fader and modulated by a CV. Furthermore there's a panning function with a manual potentiometer for determinig the channel's panorama position and a CV input for modulating it.

In the dark highlighted, right part of the module we find the L and R outputs as well as the scanning function:
The "Center" parameter is used for selecting a channel, while "width" also selects the adjacent channels. For instance if channel 2 was selected with center control and remain static if is possible to fade in and out chennels 1 and 3 (or even 4).
It can be interesting to use this function with different wave forms of an oscillator but also with totally different signals. It can be even more exciting if the channels have different panorama positions which means the channels which are faded in appear in different stereo field positions.

Voltage controlled 8 tap digital delay - 28HP
Notes: The Multi-Delay Processor is a creatively usable echo effect with eight taps. The module's sound may remind you of classic bucket-brigade devices. - It even generates distinctive pitch effects when altering the delay time. An input mixer gives audio material a crisp, analogue character. Thanks to feedback channels with pitch shifter and reverb processor, shimmering echoes and other atmospheric effects can be achieved. A total of nine envelope followers and 14 audio outputs invite you to do extensive feedback patches and other edgy experiments.

The Multi-Delay Processor isn't just a high-quality echo effect but was designed to be a fundamental ingredient of patches. Its core is a bank of eight digital delays, which are wired in series. Together, the circuits form a multi-tap echo. The volume of each signal repetition as well as the raw material can be adjusted via faders. Furthermore, there are individual audio and envelope follower CV outputs for the dry signal and all taps. An analogue clock is used to control the echo circuits. The delay time can be set manually via a potentiometer plus there are two CV inputs with bipolar attenuators. Altering the delay time parameter during operation leads to pitch effects. At this point at latest, you'll realize the superiority of the serial memory design used by Mark Verbos over average effect chips. Despite its digital core, the Multi-Delay Processor offers charming sound reminiscent of a classic bucket-brigade device. - Only cleaner and more transparent.

A three-channel mixer with dedicated level potentiometers adds analogue character to signals before they are fed to the delay circuits. Without patch cables plucked into the second and / or third input, you can use these channels as feedback paths with additional effects. In detail, a pitch shifter calibrated to +1 octave (channel 2) and a reverb (channel 3) are available. - A perfect setup for creating shimmering echoes and other atmospheric effects. High feedback values make the module self-oscillate. In contrast to the multi-tap delay, which consists of individual components, an FV-1 chip is used for pitch shifting and reverberation. This processor is well-known, as it is the main component of multi-effects modules like the Erica Black Hole DSP and numerous guitar pedals. Here, the FV-1 is "just" a creative addition to the main effect.

In addition to the manual mix output, which emits the mixture of raw and effect material dialled in via the faders, there are four other audio outs. Two of these connectors provide signals derived from summing up all even respectively odd taps. The other sockets emit preset mixes with increasing or decreasing level. - Very cool for quickly creating special effects.

Notes: The Control Voltage Processor from Verbos Electronics GmbH is a suite of control voltage processing possibilities divided into 3 sections in a slim 18HP package. The lower 2 sections are DC coupled mixers that allow mixing, inverting, offsetting, scaling, multiplying, dividing, crossfading or a combination of these functions. The top section is a voltage controlled slewing processor with independent control of Positive and Negative slew rate, with some unique tricks. The Positive and Negative slew, or Rise and Fall rates if you like, have reversing attenuators. The slopes can be blended from linear to RC curves (starting all slides fast and ending slow, like a proper "East Coast" Portamento) without a change in speed. Versatile voltage generator module with 16 touch-sensitive pads
Notes: The Twisted Electrons Cells features 16 touch-sensitive pads including integral LED lights to give visual feedback on which pads are activated. The Eurorack style module can be fed up to two 12-bit values (semi-tone quantized or free scale) ranging from 0 to 5 volts. This duophonic rack-style instrument is primarily made for generating low-bit tones but can be also used to modulate parameters such as filters or amps and anything else that features a CV input. You can use the module as a sequencer using the 2 trigger inputs with the left input shifting up a row and the right input shifting right by one column. The handmade design features 2 CV/gate outputs, 2 tune buttons and 2 trigger inputs for optimal versatility, allowing you to use the Twisted Electrons Cells for a range of modulation applications.

Operation Overview:

Feed It:
- Tap a pad to select it
- Hold a tune button to engage the "feeding process" (left button for channel 1, right for channel 2).
- Adjust a knob to the desired pitch (left knob for channel 1, right for channel 2).
- So long as a tune button is held, the output is automatically changed as you move the knob
- Release the button, pitch information is stored to Eeprom

You can toggle between free scaling and semi-tone increment modes by pressing both tune buttons simultaneously.

Play it:
- Press a pad to trigger both gate and CV outputs
- Hold 2 or more pads and Cells will arpeggiate, the rate can now be changed with the left knob. The right knob changes the octave range.

Sequence it:
- Sequence the cells using the 2 trigger inputs. The left input shifts up a row and the right input shifts right by one column
- The gate outputs mirror the trigger inputs.
- Cells requires +5V DC power to operate, as well as +/- 12V. On-board 12V to 5V conversion is provided if 5V isn't available in your system. This is configured via a jumper on the rear of the module

Powerful, hand-wired tube distortion module featuring American military grade low-noise tubes
Notes: Strakal Orsel is a powerful, hand-wired tube distortion module. As known from other Touell Skouarn circuits, all sockets and control elements have Breton names. (Except for the audio input and output, which are marked with arrows.)

Triodenn (switch) - Here, you can choose between pentode and triode operation for the left tube. Thus, this switch varies the basic sound character.

Boukl Retroaktin (switch/knob) - The switch activates the feedback path. With the potentiometer, you can vary the feedback intensity. High values lead to screaming self-oscillation. At low settings, signals are nicely thickened.

Gounid (knob) - This potentiometer is used for determining the level between the first and the second tube stage.

Ampled (knob) - For setting the degree of distortion. How hardcore would you like your sound to be?

Enklas Modulan (socket) - CV input for influencing the feedback respectively volume. (It works even without the feedback being active.)

Without an input signal, but with wide open feedback, the Strakal Orsel can be used as a beefy effect oscillator. Using its CV input, the pitch can be varied. There is no accurate pitch tracking according to the standard 1 v/octave, though. If you now deactivate the feedback and dial in the right volume and distortion settings, you can enjoy the Orsel's noise floor in its purest form. In other words, the module will emit charming tube noise. Operation as a crude VCA is possible as well.

The following tubes are compatible with the Strakal Orsel:

- 6J1P
- 5654
- 6AK5
- EF95

The Strakal Orsel offered here is equipped with American military grade low-noise tubes, type 5654. This one sounds better than the 6J1P and offer higher gain.

Notes: DOTS features 256 short/dots one shot sounds created specifically for ONE to further extend ZV_K's live Tiptop drum setup. These sounds were selected for their percussive transient response but are also great as monophonic sound sources to use alongside analog synth when sequenced. Notes: Tiptop Audio's Z-DSP is a cartridge-based open source digital sound processing and effects generating platform for your modular synthesizer. Lush audio processing, greater stereo depth and a unique set of digital synthesis is what the Z-DSP is all about.

The Z-DSP has a stereo digital sound processor with 24-bit sampling, 15kHz of bandwidth, voltage-controlled parameters of stereo feedback, program switching, DSP parameters, equal power crossfading dry/wet mixing, as well as sequential program control switching and a clear display - all in Eurorack format. A dedicated clocking input for the DSP chip does wonders to passing sound by bending the algorithms in an unexpected way, a hardware technique computer plugins can't do and is unique to the Z-DSP.

A reverse polarity protection has been added as well. The powerful Z-DSP engine remains the same as the original Z-DSP module and all cards are compatible across both versions.

An assortment of interchangeable cards, programmed by Tiptop Audio and specialists like Valhalla DSP, provide a wide range of boutique effects algorithms such as Halls of Valhalla, Time Fabric, Clocked Delays and Grain De Folie. Tiptop Audio also offers blank Z-DSP cartridges and a development tool called NumberZ for developers, students and power users who want to design their own effects and cards with the FV-1 DSP chip programming language. Blank cards can be loaded using programs that are freely available for non-commercial use and can be found in the modular community through online forums. With each card swap, the Z-DSP takes on new effect algorithms, changing like a digital chameleon and bringing colourful digital effects processing to your Eurorack setup.

8HP voltage-controlled ADSR envelope with CV processor - 'New Style'
Notes: The Z4000 NS is a snappy voltage-controlled analogue envelope generator with a built-in CV processor for scaling, inverting, and voltage-controlled deviating of the envelope shape. The Z4000 generates an envelope made of the four classic segments: Attack, Decay, Sustain and Release, in which each segment can be manually set using knobs or dynamically set under voltage control.

Control knobs for the Attack, Decay, and Release segments are scaled. The first 0-50% of the knobs rotation is dedicated to high resolution adjustment in the millisecond range.

The output levels are fully adjustable with signals that can reach up to 10V in either polarity and can be mirrored into the opposite polarity or clipped using the voltage-controlled deviater-scaler. A bi-colour LED indicates intermediate values in both polarities and their crossfade state.

The Attack slope switch allows selection of a logarithmic or exponential curve for the Attack segment. This subtle effect helps further the fine adjustment of the Attack segment slope. A VCA, Voltage Controlled Amplifier, sometimes referred to as an audio gate, is an essential module to any Eurorack and no system is complete without one. The concept is an input, an output and a control that sets how much of the input signal passes through to the output.

A great VCA means minimum feedthrough of the control signal bleeding into the passing signal and minimum distortion applied to the passing signal. An excellent audio gate means minimal leakage of signal from IN to OUT when the control tells the VCA to fully close. These are the most critical conditions for a good sounding, good responding VCA and are what the Tiptop Audio design carefully addresses. 2 LED peak indicator lights on the front panel light up with incoming CV or audio signals. While a clipping indicator for audio is expected, clipping of CV is often overlooked and it's included here to visually maintain the full dynamic range of an envelope driving the VCA.

The Tiptop Audio VCA lets you concentrate on creative uses rather than figuring out the module's anomalies. The result is an excellent sounding synthesizer VCA that's a joy to use and pleasing to hear.

Trigger sequencer
Notes: From a conceptual view, the Trigger Riot generates 16 clock streams consisting of multiple time manipulation functions (division, offsets, etc) that interact to create the trigger output, and direct access to each parameter via individual knobs allows for quick manipulation. The 8 outputs are the sum of those manipulated streams per row. The outputs of the module are arranged as either a 4x4 matrix, where each of the 16 knobs affects both row and column, or as a set of independent outputs for each row or column. This allows forming 8 complex musical interactions in a 'Matrix' mode or 8 independent streams in 'Independent' mode and is switchable from one to the other on press of a button for some unexpected results.

Since each of the 16 knobs represents a real time tweakable trigger generator/modifier the Trigger Riot is extremely playable and can result very complex patterns with only few knob turns; patterns that would otherwise take much longer and in some instances be almost impossible to produce using grid based step sequencing. Patterns can have unique time signatures that can repeat or be randomized through probability, time shifted and phased, divided, multiplied and counted, it's unbelievable how complex this module can get with minimal input.

FX expansion card bundle for ZDSP digital effects processor
Notes: The Time Domain Bundle is all about rich delay effects. The package consists of three Z-DSP cards with eight algorithms each. Modulated Delays specializes in animated echo programs, which can be used to create, for instance, diffusion, chorus or pan effects. Hydra provides multi-tap algorithms. These can be used to generate rhythmical delays. Spiral combines a pitch shifter and a multi-tap echo to create atmospheric to slightly psychedelic effects.

Mod Delay:

Modulated Delays brings various forms of animation to the delay lines. These types of algorithms further extend the signal path of delay effects with extra processing and routing of the audio signal. The sonic results put the Mod Delay effects in a category of their own.

Each program adds different processing like diffusion, chorus, panning and other modulation to the basic mono or dual delay line structure. The two Modulator programs are intended for use with external CV - opening up vast modulation possibilities of the modular synthesiser. Each card comes loaded with 8 presets.

Hydra:

Hydra is the multi-armed DSP creature tapping its tentacles into a buffered delay line and creating a range of multi-tap delay rhythmic and spatial effects. The Spread parameter sweeping through rhythmic variations allowing some of the programs bridge the gap between single delays and reverbs by using diffusion while others use taps to create rhythmic patterns.

The basic Hydra algorithm sums the inputs to mono and writes the signal to a single delay line. Multiple output taps are taken from the delay line and spread across the stereo outputs. Each program adds additional features like panning, filtering, pitch shifting and/or diffusion to create a unique Z-DSP Hydra experience. The last two programs add external Clock input for more precise sync to the beat.

Spirals:

Spirals is a pitch and multi-tap delay card for the Z-DSP. This card uses numerous multi-tap delay techniques in combination with dual pitch shifters to create a wide range of harmonizing choruses, echo and harmonic reverb sounds. Programs on this card derive from the complex algorithms found on high-end studio effects processors, which, while powerful, have a complex editing process. On the Z-DSP all of the power of the internal code is controlled by three simple adjustments for sculpting the sound - making the experience more about performance and live tweaking rather than navigating through dozens of menu pages.

Digital processor with high precision analog CV circuitry
Notes: QuantiZer is a creative melody composing module that uses cutting edge analog electronics and DSP to tune analog VCOs precisely into Western musical scales. The front panel is packed with functions that makes it very playable and intuitive to use, with a layout that moves forward from the typical quantizer design. At its centre is a slider that can be set to play notes, add Portamento to an incoming sequence, transpose a sequence with in an octave range or transpose a sequence within 5 octave range. The 12 note keyboard can be set to play notes manually, add and subtract notes from scales, transpose a sequence as well as setup a variety of settings that define the quantizer behaviour and sync with other modules.

This unique core makes ONE truly integral within the Tiptop percussive modular ecosystem thanks to a lightweight and responsive digital circuit with a very analog feel.

ONE brings a world of colours to the modular right out of the package. We have invited some of the best sound designers in the Industry to create professional sound libraries with content tailored to the unique sonic framework of the modular synthesizer and that fully takes advantage of ONE's unique qualities. To start with, ONE comes with a SD card loaded with a free set of 60 sounds designed by Glitchmachines. More cards are available to purchase separately each containing carefully selected material with up to 256 sound files. Using your own sample libraries or recordings is easy too, just copy 16 or 24bit mono WAV files onto the SD card, pop the card into ONE and go.

ONE offers several modes of operation, with the primary being the super low latency Trigger mode that retrieves audio data off the SD card adding no artificial processing such as click removal, crossfading, EQ or gain normalization. In this mode, it's a highly transparent player up to 24 bit 96kHz with no interpolation of the audio data: what you put in is what you get out. With a delay as low as 0.25ms from the moment the trigger hits, ONE offers harmonically dense, clear and detailed audio with a great rhythmic feel.

ONE handles external CV through a user selectable multifunction jack. Pitch is the main control with two modes available: Free pitch allows for fine tuning of the playback rate, great for adding subtle vibrato or wild tape speed effects; Quantized pitch maps CV to the standard 12 tone system over 3.5 octaves and is ideal for melodic content. CV can also be used to sequence through files off the SD card allowing far more varied sounds from a single source; almost like an entire percussion section behind the slim panel.

Although originally designed to play tightly with our analog drums and envelopes, ONE's rich sound quality encouraged us to make it work in a variety of other applications that are less demanding of sub millisecond timing response. The extra headroom at the core level allows features such as Gated playback, Looping, and Triggering with fades in and out to accommodate different types of sound sources from drum loops to polysynth chords to noise sources and other yet unimagined uses.

Seven channel mixer with classic analogue sound - 3HP
Notes: MIX7 is a seven channel analogue summing mixer module for Eurorack. It is designed for summing any of the different types of signals you'll find in a modular system: Audio, CV, Triggers, or Gate.

MIX7 gives ability to sweeten your mix with more headroom using the power of low noise analogue summing. A compact 3HP Eurorack utility module, MIX7 is an attractive mixing addition to any rig, especially with the ability to also combine rhythms, note patterns or CV automations from different control sources. The main output of one section can be connected to the input of another MIX7 to create larger mixing groups and complex signal routes inside your modular.

The MIX7 summing mixing circuit is built with low-noise operational amplifiers, giving it an excellent sound quality for mixing audio, the beautiful texture of classic analogue mixing with plenty of headroom to handle hot modular signals, and the versatility to sum non-audio signals in your system to open up new creative possibilities.

Each input is labelled with a number of dots, 1-7, yellow for input and green for output. The module matches Tiptop's system look with clean white faceplate styling.

At the back of the module is a user-configurable jumper allowing users to configure the MIX7 for either unity gain (OUT = IN) or give increased headroom (OUT = 0.4IN) for use with hot audio signals, which makes it a great pairing for Tiptop Audio percussive modules. A peak indicator light on the front panel warns the user of even the slightest audio clipping in the mix, helping to keep all the incoming sound sources at their full original quality.

10HP Eurorack CV modulator module
Notes: MISO is a multipurpose utility module, a laboratory for synthesizing control voltage signals and audio. MISO combines multiple CV tools into one module for making complex CV shapes at the output stage. The name comes from the four main functions available: Mix, Invert, Scale, and Offset.

MISO's 2 sections (1/2 IN and A/B IN) are identical. Each section has two inputs that can be used to Mix signals, Invert polarity/shape, Scale magnitude and Offset voltage. Each function can be used independently or simultaneously with the total shape summed to the mix output.

At the centre of the module is another processor, an accurate smooth linear voltage-controlled crossfader that mixes equally between the outputs of the top and the bottom MISO sections. Feed the MISOs with envelopes, LFOs, Sequences to create new shapes and then crossfade them manually or with CV using the centre section for even further complexity of shapes and animation of control signals. Crossfade between the waveforms of a VCO or audio samples with CV for more motion.

There are an endless number of ways to patch MISO with unexpected and inspiring results. MISO is the kind of module that gives modular synthesizers its incredible replay value, rewarding hours of creative explorations and its experimental and non-traditional mixing.

MISO offers a lot in a small comfortable module that matches Tiptop's system look with clean white faceplate styling. A red/yellow indicator light next to each section makes it easy to see signals and visualize polarity.

The HATS909 is the TR-909's original Closed and Open Hi-Hats circuits adapted for use in Eurorack modular synthesizer format and was tested to sound like a machine coming fresh off the assembly line back in the 80's Improving on the original, we have added some great new features that expand the sound palette of hats that can be produced with this small, powerful module.

The original TR-909 circuit is made with a combination of low-fi 6-bit sound samples that pass through a series of analog elements to provide envelope and filtering to the source sound. The HATS909 module allows for manual and voltage control of the sample's tuning, which provides anything from crushed hats and short ticks to the original sound and anything in between. A modulation switch allows you to tap a voltage control to either the tune input or the internal VCA for modulation with external control signals or for adding AM or FM synthesis in the audio range from external oscillators, other drum sounds, or just about any sound source. HATS909 also offers a switch for a direct tap to the output of the original sample, bypassing all other internal analog processing, giving you the pure source sound for synthesis any way you want with your own modules.

Just like the other drums in this series, the HATS909 high-powered output gain stage allows you to further harmonize the sound through distortion and clipping. On each gate input, we have designed a dual pulse-shaper circuit so you can trigger your HATS909 with trigger/gate signals from step sequencers, clock dividers, or any other pulse/clock sources.

Notes: Welcome to the Forbidden Planet, an all analogue multi-mode filter design influenced by the 1975 Steiner-Parker Synthacon model. Control the Forbidden Planet manually or through CV and take the sound of your Eurorack into new orbits.

Forbidden Planet has three filter input jacks: High Pass, Low Pass and Band Pass. The High Pass section is this module's signature sound - a crisp sharp-cut with no residue, designed to add High Pass filtering capability to Tiptop Audio's wide range of Eurorack modules. Send a throbbing kick drum through the High Pass section and filter out the rumbling lows while maintaining the pulse of the beat. The Bandpass is clear and useful in isolating a pie-slice-range-of-frequencies while cutting off the low and highs, great for accurate sound design or sculpting audio into that sweet spot. The Low Pass is an airy classic 12db two-pole analogue slope ideal for monophonic synth patches and filtering down to the essential low-end bass we all love.

The Forbidden Planet Resonance utilizes an internal feedback path which can sound smooth or aggressive depending on the knob setting. At a low setting, it emphasizes the cut-off harmonics, at middle settings it begins to self-oscillate, and towards maximum setting it forms interesting tones and all sorts of chopped grainy bits of self-oscillation perfect for entering into a sci-fi world.

The Forbidden Planet is an impressive multi-mode analogue filter which adds a broader filter spectrum to the Tiptop Audio modular family and unlocks forbidden creative possibilities in a small package.

Wave multiplier & sub-octave generator - 12HP
Notes: The Fold Processor is a voltage controlled wave multiplier and sub-octave generator. The circuit is based on a classic diode design that adds odd harmonics by folding the incoming signal, followed by subdivided square waves.

The wave folder creates new waveforms from the standard sine, triangle, sawtooth and square waves, has a dedicated output jack and CV input with an attenuator making it very easy to create beautifully animated folding sounds. Adjustable voltage controlled Inject alters the bias point creating an even wider palette of sounds.

The subdivide generator squares the fold output generating 4 more sounds spaced one octave apart, each with its own gain knob and mixed to the Subdivide output jack. Mixing the four can create anything from discordant square wave swarms to sweet harmonic oscillator stacks, from a stable square version of the folded wave to freaky PLL like glitched slides.

Overall results can sound evil at times and sweet at others, a true multi-faced devil.
