Notes: Made to offer the wind attenuation properties of a full sized windshield in a much smaller package, the Baby Ball Gags are designed to slip onto the body of the microphone. This allows the microphone to be hand-held or shock-mounted with a Lyre suspension.

Perfect for short microphones, the Baby Ball Gags are suitable for low-profile boom applications as well as for use in hand-held operations and interviews. They are widely used for microphones with bulbous ends and ORTF microphone pairs, where the maximum head diameter is 80mm.

The windshield is constructed of the same material as the full size modular windshields, but rather than clipping to a microphone suspension, the Ball Gag is mounted directly on the microphone, by a grommet gripping the microphone body. The microphone is pushed through the grommet, to completely enclose the microphone capsule.

The Ball Gag consists of 2 halves, which can be separated, to fit microphones with a ball-head or tapered body from inside the windshield. For additional wind protection a furry Windjammer cover is available. It is suitable for microphones with 21mm shank diameter.

Notes: The Rycote 037302 hot shoe adaptor is comprised of an 18mm square brass foot with a 14" Whitworth female thread and a 3/8" male Whitworth thread. The materials used within the Lyres allow the working temperature of the suspension to far exceed any elastic or rubber shock mount or suspension. The operating temperatures for the lyres is quite extreme and ranges from minus 35- celcius to over 100- celcius. The USM uses 72 shore hardness black Lyres.

The microphone is held in place with four adjustable thumb screws which have swivelling non slip pads on the end, making it possible to support microphones with a body diameter of 18mm to 50mm, and weights of between 400g and 750g. For microphones less than 400g in weight a lightweight version is available called the InVision USM-L, which uses the 62 shore hardness red Lyres. The InVision camera hot shoe adaptor is designed to support microphones with a shaft diameter of 19mm to 25mm including the slab sided Sennheiser MKH series. It attaches to the camera hot shoe by employing a 100mm long slotted mounting bar which allows you to slide the cradle and rotate it through 360- of movement, ensuring the microphone is always out of shot.

Notes: Designed for use with Lavalier microphones worn on the outside of clothing, the Lavalier Windjammer (or Furry) is the most heavy-duty of Rycote's subminiature Lavalier microphone products. It is suitable for use in windy outdoor interview conditions, and greatly reduces microphone noise and clothes rustle, while also providing effective wind protection.

Notes: This Rycote CC-Hotshoe Camera Clamp Adapter allows standard shoe-mountable items to be used in a 21/25mm camera clamp. The adapter ships with a removable sleeve that acts as a shim for providing a snug fit into 25mm clamps (Sony and Canon). Notes: For several years, Rycote InVision mounts have been available for narrow-barrelled shotgun and stick microphones in broadcast and videography applications, but not until 2010, and the release of the striking Universal Studio Mount (USM) was there an InVision shock-mount capable of accommodating large-diaphragm recording microphones for use in recording studios.

Like the other InVision mounts, the USM makes use of Rycote's patented vibration-resistant Lyre mount, but on this mount the W-shaped Lyres are placed around a central mounting ring with adjustable fasteners, allowing the USM to accommodate any microphone with a diameter of between 18 and 68 millimetres.

The Rycote USM updates the concept of the microphone suspension for the 21st century, completely omitting any elasticated parts and using modern materials to create a virtually indestructible shock-mount with a performance that far outstrips that of the humble cat's cradle suspension. In controlled tests at the Rycote factory, the USM provided up to twice the isolation of traditional microphone suspension systems.

The existing InVision USM can be used to mount microphones from 18 to 55mm in diameter, and thus accommodates most studio recording microphones, but the new InVision USM-VB will hold the broadest large-diaphragm models from 55mm to 68mm.

Notes: The Rycote 045 005 InVision USM-VB Studio Kit comprises of an InVision Universal Pop Filter (available separately as Rycote 045001) and a Universal Studio Mount (available separately as Rycote 044912).

The InVision Universal Pop Filter (045001) is a pop shield for optimising vocal recordings. It utilises a custom foam mesh that is capable of attenuating low-frequency vocal pops and thumps by up to 20 dB. Unlike most ordinary nylon pop shields the InVision Universal Pop Filter achieves the low-frequency attenuation without causing audibly detectable high-frequency loss.

Featuring an ergonomic frame, the pop filter is designed for placement at a close proximity to the mouth and face of a vocal artist. The custom manufactured acoustic foam mesh filter can be removed for cleaning and replacement foam inserts are also available (sold separately).

An InVision set contains two Lyre, an appropriate length mounting bar, and in some cases, a reducing sleeve (InVision INV-4). The InVision suspensions all use the new patented Lyre suspension system developed by Rycote. The Lyre suspension uses no runner or elastic components to isolate the microphone from unwanted shocks and handling noises, instead the design of the shape allows a specific compliance to the microphone, and so prevents the handling noise reaching the capsule. The Rycote 041107 INV-7 is comprised of 2 x 70mm wide standard lyres with integral 19/25mm clips fitted to a large size support bar. This mount is considered to be one of the most universal in the InVision range, being suitable for a wide range of condenser microphones having a shaft diameter of 19mm to 25mm.

Rycote have tailored a solution for the Zoom H4N that successfully addresses the inherent handling, vibration and wind noise issues that can affect a recording.

Utilising Rycote's patented Lyre technology the suspension has been specifically devised to accommodate the Zoom H4N by attaching to the 1/4" female thread on the underside of the recorder. In conjunction with the included Rycote 1/4" to 3/8" Swivel Adaptor (047 307) the suspended recorder can be mounted on a boom pole, microphone stand, camera hot shoe or hand held by using the soft-grip Extension Handle supplied as part of the kit (037 301). The orientation can be adjusted 180 degree enabling the recorder's microphones to be pointed directly at the sound source.
