Notes: The Wash is a dream come true for ambient player and ushers in a new chapter in the world of delays. It accomplishes the arduous task of creating an organic, below-the-mix wash. Normally this requires stacking 3-4 reverb and delay pedals at the end of your chain. The unique "Wash Circuit" creates the perfect wash with only one pedal.

For the new version (V2), Hungry Robots worked hard to squeeze the circuit into a smaller enclosure while keeping the build quality and tone quality identical. The circuit that hundreds of users have fell in love with is unchanged. The new versions are 2 inches smaller left and right. In addition to the smaller enclosure, the new option for top mounted jacks can save you a lot of board space.

At its most basic utility, The Wash is an outstanding analog-voiced, tap-tempo delay with just over 1000ms of delay time.

The Wash circuit is what makes the pedal stand out from other delays on the market. The Wash circuit adds reverb to the signal and through a complicated network of internal feedback loops, subtle multi-head Binson effect, and what is known as "ripple effect," It works to add a hauntingly beautiful wash to your signal in ways that can't be accomplished by stacking a reverb and a delay in series. It does all of this while keeping the clarity and presence of your original signal without getting lost in the soup of decay.

The Wash reacts to your playing unlike the common DSP reverb/delays with an infinate sustain function. There is a dynamic quality to it that is hard to replicate with any other single pedal.

The "Ripple" knob controls The Ripple Effect. The Ripple Effect is a feature in which each successive delay trail slowly scatters and transforms into reverb. The "Resonance" knob is to fine-tune the resonance and decay of the wash. The Middle "The Wash" knob controls the mix/level of the wash.

Notes: LYRA8-FX is a processor that can give you a significant part of the mysterious LYRA-8 sound thanks to the FX section from the LYRA-8, expanded with CV controls and packed into a Eurorack module.

It contains a double modulated lo-fi delay with cross-feedback and the unique possibility of self-modulation, where the delay output signal modulates its own sample rate. Also, it packs a parallel distortion with CV control of the drive. The distortion is after the delay. It's much more than a delay - you can get a simple reverb, comb filter, chorus and much more cool FXs which are hard to describe.

This device features Flexi-Switchr Technology! This relay-based, true bypass switching style allows you to simultaneously use momentary and latching style switching.

For standard latching operation, tap the footswitch once to activate the effect and then tap again to bypass.

For momentary operation, hold the footswitch down for as long as you'd like to use the effect. Once you release the switch the effect will be bypassed.

Since the switching is relay based, it requires power to pass signal.

This device takes a standard 9 volt DC power supply with a 2.1mm negative center barrel. Pedal-specific, transformer-isolated wall-wart power supplies or multiple isolated-output supplies are generally recommended. Pedals will make extra noise if there is ripple or unclean power. Notes: You hear that EVP? It's the all new, extra spook-tacular, Ghost Echo calling out from beyond the void! The Ghost Echo is Earth Quaker's spooky take on the haunted amp-top spring reverberation units of yesteryear. This creepy analog/digital spring reverb emulation machine boasts a terrifying 30ms - 150ms of pre-delay, controllable via the Attack knob, for everything from a quick rockabilly slapback to viscous pools of ectoplasmic reverberations. When playing staccato, you'll hear the tortured trails of the reverb, resulting in more of a slapback or echo sound. Legato playing will reveal a massive ambient "depth" that fattens up the sound - and look out, it's right behind you!

Phew, that was close. The Dwell control sets the length and thickness of the decay, which is to say that it controls how long the disembodied spirits of notes no longer with us float through the ether. At the maximum setting it will descend into an infinite loop of self-oscillation. The Depth sets the intensity of the reverb, which you probably know as the wet/dry mix.

Controls:
1. Attack: Adjusts the length of the pre-delay, from 30ms at minimum to about 150ms at maximum. When the Dwell is set to self-oscillate, this will change the pitch of the oscillations.

2. Dwell: Adjusts the length of the decay. This will start to self oscillate around 3 O'clock, the pitch of the oscillations can be changed by turning the Attack control.

3. Depth: Mixes in the wet signal with the dry, unity is around noon and everything after is boosted.

This is a new build of a micro version of Mutable Instruments Marbles. It retains all the functionality of the original full-sized module but takes up less space. It comes with jack lights that can be disabled via a jumper on the back.

These modules use tall bushing potentiometers to offer a more stable feel. You can see the difference in the last picture. You will feel much less wiggle with the tall bushing (left) than with traditional trimmer style (right).

The module is fully assembled, tested, and calibrated. The calibration is done with a 6.5 digit multimeter, itself recently calibrated, to ensure you get the highest accuracy from your module. Eurorack power cable included.

Notes: The Jumble Henge is a 16 input stereo spectral mixer with a unique patch-based mixing interface in a compact space. Each input has a carefully tuned resonant analog filter and a unique fixed pan value, providing each sound its own space within the mix. There is a Mix control to adjust the depth of the filtering and a clean external stereo input for chaining with another mixer or extra sound source. Jumble Henge is a space efficient solution for creating rich stereo mixes from a number of both mono and stereo sources.

INPUTS
Vertical and horizontal patch position determines a source's spectral and stereo placement in the mix respectively.

Aside from centred inputs, every input sits in its own unique pan position, helping to keep a separation between sounds but building a complete stereo image when combined.

The centre right inputs of the top two rows are normalised to the centre left inputs. - i.e if just a left input is patched it will be effectively panned center.

Towards the highs the panning becomes wider - as the human ear better pinpoints direction at higher frequencies, whereas the lows remain more centred for a tighter, more focused sound.

MIX CONTROL
Mix control for the overall depth of the filters applied to the inputs. Note: a slight volume increase occurs near the centre of the dial.

EXTERNAL INPUT
An additional clean stereo input pair for chaining with another mixer or additional source. Right input normalised to left input to accomodate mono sources.

OUTPUTS

Effect Features:

"Slurm" An exclusive and innovative control that smears/slurs taps together to create truly unique reverbs and choruses.

Nemesis captures the full spectrum of delay effects, starting with a comprehensive collection of meticulously crafted vintage delay tones. In 2009 John Berndt coined and defined the term Relabi in his essay "Relabi": Patterns of Self-Erasing Pulse, these are his own words: "Relabi, Def.: The experience of a palpably coordinated plurality of events that appears to be cyclical but simultaneously suspends identification of a uniform pattern, preventing a resolved sense of pulse. Relabi therefore seems equally pulsed and unpulsed at the same time. It is an experiential gestalt, a quality of experience, greater than the sum of its parts (it forms a sustained unity in experience, albeit of a new kind)."

He also makes the question: "Why would anyone want this Relabi experience? I maintain that much of what is exciting in musical forms involves an interplay between the setting up and denying of pulse expectations."

Inspired by this idea, ADDAC System developed this module that is both a gate/trigger and cv generator that can be freely used to trigger events or act as a complex modulation source. Four Sine LFOs are internally generated, each has controls for gain, frequency and mute(off). These 4 LFOs are then mixed together to generate what Berndt named the "Relabi Wave" this "wave" becomes a complex bipolar CV source. This i5v bipolar "wave" can be monitored on the 2 dedicated leds and is also available at its own Output.

FranKinksTides is a 18hp dual Tides (based on the Swirls pcb layout) with the max/min circuit from Kinks and some switches for sync, quadrature, pll and fm operation . It can be a double/complex oscillator, a dual function generator or any combination of oscillator, Lfo and Envelope generator with lots of cv control plus some interesting cross-modulation and sync features.

Some improvements in version 1.2:

-Mix output is now buffered, no signal bleeding on single outs.
-Mix pot controls also the balance of the signals sent to the max/min circuit.
-Uni/bi switch now also determines the signal sent to FM1.
-Clock/sync switch has now a center OFF position, no need of plugging a dummy cable in the Clock1 when using Sheeps firmware to avoid ultra fast sound bank changes.

The driving idea behind the Twin waves voltage-controlled dual oscillator/LFO is to offer two interesting oscillators in a skiff-friendly and compact size. Katowice is a stereo variable-band isolator that allows the user to manipulate a selected range of frequencies. It is the first module in a series of upcoming Xaoc Devices products designed specifically for processing stereo signals.

Katowice splits the stereo input signal into three bands: low, middle, and high. While the knobs and CV inputs define the center frequency and bandwidth of the mid band, the low and high bands are automatically adjusted so that the sum of all three is a complete signal. All three bands are passed through high quality VCAs and their stereo outputs are available separately for further processing. A stereo mixdown signal is also available.

Katowice may be used as a crossover network, a parametric EQ, DJ-style kill filter, or other band-selective applications, including multiband compression and stereo enhancement.

Remarks:
As the LFO frequencies can go up to moderate audio range (~ 5kHz) even audio FM effects of VCO (pitch and pulsewidth), VCF and ADSR are possible.

If the VCO is turned off (waveform switch = center position, pulsewidth control = fully CCW) and the VCF resonance is set to maximum the module can be used as a sine oscillator. The sine can be modulated in a linear manner from the triangle wave of the VCO and by LFO2 in an exponential manner at the same time !

From the factory the socket labelled "LFO1" outputs the inverted LFO1 signal. But as the module has several internal pin headers available even another signal may appear at this socket by changing the internal module patch. These six pin headers are available: LFO1 output, LFO2 output, ADSR output, inverter input, inverter output, output socket. The internal default patch is LFO1 -> inverter input, inverter output -> output socket (i.e. socket = inverted LFO1). But even another signal can be patched to this socket (e.g. inverted ADSR, non-inverted LFO1, inverted or non-inverted LFO2). It is also possible to add a blind panel next to the A-111-5 with a couple of sockets that are connected to the corresponding pins of the A-111-5 pc board. The in- and outputs of the VCO, VCF and VCA are not available as pin headers because the VCO, VCF and VCA are internally connected in the circuit which is used in this module.

Four independent modulation sections:

The heart of the pedal is its four, independent modulation sections synced in time, they are:

MOD features great sounding EHX Vibrato, Flanger, Chorus or Phaser. The Depth knob lets you set the amount of the effect while Feedback controls the resonance of the Flanger and Phaser.

TREM delivers tremolo, an effect that modulates the volume of your signal. The Depth control sets tremolo intensity.

PAN modulates between left and right in stereo operation. In mono operation the PAN section acts as another tremolo section, but with the wave shapes all inverted!

FILTER offers a choice of a modulated LPF, HPF or BPF. In LPF (low pass filter) frequencies above a modulated cut-off point are cut. In HPF (high pass filter) frequencies below a modulated cut-off point are cut, and in BPF (band pass filter) frequencies above and below a modulated centre point are cut.

Each section also features a choice of four LFO shape options: rising sawtooth, triangle, falling sawtooth or square wave. They affect the way the modulation transitions and provide advanced creative control over the specific section as well as the way they interact with each other.

Tempo control that's flexible and powerful:

The MOD REX delivers virtually limitless polyrhythmic possibilities.

Its TEMPO component gives you nine note-length choices for each of the four modulation sections. They are independently selectable in increments starting at a whole note and ranging thru subdivisions that go up to a 16th note. In addition, any of the sections can be bypassed.

The MOD REX's tempo (displayed as beats per minute or BPM) is adjustable with the Tempo knob, Tap Tempo footswitch or by using an expression pedal into its EXP input. It can also be synced to an external device with MIDI Clock or an external pulse clock.

MIDI and the MOD REX:

The pedal's robust MIDI implementation enables you to sync devices quickly and easily as well as automate functions and changes so they occur precisely when and where you want them whether you are working at home, in a studio or live.

The MOD REX accepts MIDI to enable it to tempo sync the modulation rate with an external device, to recall presets via MIDI Program Change messages and to control any parameter on the MOD REX via Control Change messages.

Extras:

The MOD REX lets you save and recall up to 100 presets. It comes from the factory with 20 great programs.

The sound is clean, modern, punchy and detailed thanks to the unit running at 96kHz - quite different to some low bit-rate wavetable oscillators on the market. Wavetable interpolation is smooth as butter and with the built-in effects you can dirty things up in many different ways. The module scores highly on the sound front. The Graphic VCO is a very capable oscillator module with excellent sound quality and a lot of features that could make it the right choice, especially if live performance is your thing. - Sound On Sound
The bottom line is that the Graphic VCO is a joy to use. It's a module that's unashamedly digital, yet unmistakably eurorack. I think Erica showed a great deal of careful judgement and restraint in the design of this module. It would have been easy to have made it bloated and cumbersome trying to cram as many features as possible into it, but they kept it fairly simple which keeps the module fun and immediate in use. Notes: Motomouth is an analogue 3-Band, Sedra + Espinoza Bandpass Filter (DABP) with resonant frequencies that are tuned to the same resonant frequencies found in the human mouth and nose cavities, and these can be varied, independently, to form different 'mouth shapes,' to emulate vowels such as A, E, I, O and U. Motomouth can emulate 16 vowels and 'morph' or 'glide' between each vowel using a single Control Voltage input (1V/Oct), and a Gate to 'snap' to each vowel when required.

Two of the bands (F1 and F2) are used to form the mouth cavity, and the third band (F3) is used to form the nasal cavity, which is reasonably static. Varying F3 makes little significant difference 'in the mix,' but having it is important.

The single Control Voltage is decoded to control F1 and F2 independently, because the frequency bands for each vowel are not proportional to each other over the vowel range. So Motomouth has learned how to 'speak,' so to speak, but it still needs to learn more, and that's where you come in.

Notes: Any signal can be expressed in terms of a few parameters: frequency, phase, amplitude and timbre. It is through modulation of these aspects that synthesists create electronic sound. With Generate 3, it is now possible to create a signal and control all its parameters by through-zero modulation within a single 12 HP wide module.

Everything starts with the exceptionally precise triangle-core voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) at the module’s heart. Through-zero linear frequency modulation (FM) enables rich yet pitch-stable FM sounds, by allowing the oscillator to run backwards into ‘negative frequencies’.

The resultant triangle wave is then processed by the through-zero phase modulator, providing a total phase shift range of 900°. Phase modulation offers an interesting alternative for FM, as it enables deep FM-type tones without actually changing the oscillation frequency.

The timbre of a signal is determined by its harmonic content. This full set of harmonics can be grouped into three main parts: the fundamental, even and odd harmonics. Generate 3’s harmonics generator separates out these three timbral ‘channels’. By adjusting their relative amplitudes, a vast array of different waveforms can be created, including but not limited to the classic sine, saw and square waves.

While the amplitudes can be adjusted manually, each timbral channel supports through-zero amplitude modulation, also known as balanced or ring modulation. When audio-frequency modulation signals are applied, the harmonics become ‘split’, enriching the spectrum.

In addition to all the usual analogue synthesis techniques, the extensive set of modulation options makes Generate 3 especially suited for exploring multiphonic synthesis: a monophonic source creating a complex timbre, much like throat singing, yet by electronic means.

Notes: The Triple Waveshaper (TWS) is a non-linear modifier which can transform a sawtooth wave into a sine wave. This classic module incorporates three independent waveshapers for modifying synthesizer waveforms or for processing signals from preamplified instruments. Although originally designed as a waveshaper for early Serge oscillators, this module has been found to be a excellent modifier of electronic and acoustic sounds, and is highly recommended for subtle timbral modifications beyond the range of simple oscillator/filter patches.

The R*S version extends the classic TWS concept:

+1: An additional (4th) waveshaper has been added (right after the first / bottom waveshaper) that can be dialed in smoothly using the +1 knob. Turned down (CCW) the bottom section acts as in the original (as if that additional waveshaper would not exist). Turned up (CW) the bottom section is actually 2 waveshapers in series.

Switches to link the 3 sections - bottom to top. Using these switches all sections can be set to act in series, starting at the bottom and ending at the top, providing the combined effect of 3 to 4 waveshapers (or anything in between) using the +1 knob.

Linking only the middle and top section and turning the +1 knob up (to have 2 sections in the bottom) allows you to use the module for isntance as two independent 2-stage waveshapers (using bottom in and out for one and middle in and top out for the other) - e.g. for stereo processing.
