bass line synthesiser
Notes: Yellow version of Behringer's take on the classic Roland TB-303 analogue bass synth, the sound of acid house and much more. A true icon of electronic music, reborn at an affordable price.

Supplier's Notes:
Only produced from 1981 to 1984, the Roland TB-303 was a tremendous commercial flop as a replacement for the bass guitar, however it soon found its place as one of the most-loved synthesizers for what became known as Electronic Dance Music (EDM). An ultra-affordable and faithful homage to the iconic synthesizer that spawned house music, plus an all-new Distortion circuit, the TD-3-AM lets you conjure up virtually any sound with incredible finesse and ease. With its pure analog signal path, 16-step Sequencer and authentic VCO, VCF and VCA filters, the TD-3-AM is sure to become one of your favorite synthesizers.

Great care has been taken in engineering the TD-3-AM, including the true to the original VCO, VCF and VCA designs and pure analog circuitry with matched transistors. This highly-focused attention to detail is what gives TD-3-AM its ultra-flexible sound shaping capability, which covers everything from super-fat bass and lead tones to stunning effects - all the way out to the otherworldly sounds of your imagination.

Your TD-3-AM comes ready to rock, thanks to its default signal routing that doesn't require lifting a single patch cable to instantly create amazing sounds. The highly-intuitive layout lets you easily tap into the inspired sounds of 1980s and '90s progressive rock, wave, EDM and synth-pop music tracks that made rock and roll history - or to design incredibly fat and original sounds that will make you a legend in your own right.

The very heart of TD-3-AM's sound is its versatile 24 dB/octave filter, which lets you freely experiment with the low-pass Cutoff frequency and Resonance settings to dial in the perfect sound.

TD-3-AM's authentic Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) with transistor wave-shaping circuitry is ultra-easy to use and provides your choice of reverse-sawtooth or pulse waveforms for the ultimate in sound creation.

The onboard sequencer with 7 tracks allows you to program up to 16 steps of notes and rests and save them as a Pattern. You can record, save and recall up to 250 patterns, all of which can be stored in the 4 Groups. Your sequences can be played either in Keyboard mode, where you create and store the pattern, or Step mode which allows you to interact while composing a pattern.

When you want to add even more power to your performance, just flip the Distortion On/Off switch and dial in the perfect amount of Drive to push the envelope to the max.

While it is a monophonic instrument (one note at a time), TD-3-AM's 16-note Poly Chain function lets you combine multiple synthesizers for up to 16-voice polyphony - plus provides vastly improved reliability and stability over its 1970s and '80s predecessors.

TD-3-AM has 11 controls and 28 switches to give you direct and real-time access to all important parameters, all laid out in a highly-intuitive format that puts the joy back into your music creation. And you can expand TD-3-AM's tone-sculpting capabilities beyond your wildest dreams by utilizing the multi-I/O patchbay to connect external devices.

Behringer Pro-1 Analog Synthesiser Behringer Pro-1 Analog Synthesiser Behringer Pro-1 Analog Synthesiser Behringer Pro-1 Analog Synthesiser Behringer Pro-1 Analog Synthesiser
Cat: 781519 Rel: 20 Oct 20

Notes: The Behringer Pro-1 is a clone of the popular retro classic Sequential Circuits Pro-One which was once conceived to be a monophonic Prophet-5. Those who know and love recordings of Depeche Mode and Yazoo, will enjoy recognizing a lot of those sounds with the Pro-1.

The two assertive oscillators, each based on a CEM3340 chip, have sawtooth and square waveforms, an octave switch, fine tuning and pulse width control. Oscillator A can be synchronized to oscillator B, the second tone generator is additionally equipped with the triangle waveform and can be switched to low mode as well as decoupled from the pitch control. Both VCOs are brought together in the mixer, where the noise generator is also located, which can be replaced by an external signal. The beautiful basic sound is processed with a characterful 24dB lowpass filter, also known as Curtis VCF. It behaves similar to a Moog filter, but due to the IC CEM3320 it sounds different than the transistor cascade. The two crisp ADSR envelopes are assigned to the filter and VCA. An LFO with three waveforms is connected to the targets via the modulation bus. The special features of this instrument include the waveforms that can be activated simultaneously in both oscillators and in the LFO.

The modulations are assigned on the left side of the control panel. The filter envelope, oscillator B and the LFO, each with their own attenuator, are available in parallel as sources. These are assigned to the targets frequency oscillator A+B, pulse width oscillator A+B and cutoff directly or via the modulation wheel (or midi controller). Wild oscillator drifts, sync sounds, sirens, FM for filter and/or oscillator A as well as pulse width modulation are possible if used with care. If you turn everything up at once, it gets really wild! The modulation bus is the hottest feature of the Pro-1 next to the sound.

The ingeniously simple sequencer provides access to two patterns, each of which can be up to 40 steps long; pauses can also be programmed. The notes are played via a connected MIDI keyboard. After the input, the patterns can be transposed with the keyboard. The Arpeggiator primarily offers the playback modes Up and Up&Down, but can also be integrated into the pattern. Synchronization to other equipment is done via the analog clock input or MIDI/USB.

Behringer Model D Desktop Analogue Synthesizer Behringer Model D Desktop Analogue Synthesizer Behringer Model D Desktop Analogue Synthesizer
Cat: 648986 Rel: 09 Feb 18

Legendary analog synthesiser with 3 VCO's, Ladder Filters, LFO & Eurorack format
Notes: The 1970s spawned the first truly portable analog synthesizer, and while it was quickly adopted by lots of renowned musical artists including Jan Hammer, Chick Corea, Rick Wakeman, Jean-Michel Jarre, Isao Tomita and Keith Emerson to name a few, it was somewhat temperamental and very expensive. An ultra-affordable homage to that iconic synthesizer, with all the features of the original and then some, the BEHRINGER MODEL D lets you conjure up virtually any monophonic sound imaginable with incredible finesse and ease. The pure analog signal path is based on authentic VCO, VCF, VCA and ladder filter designs in conjunction with a dedicated and fully analog triangle/square wave LFO. And when it comes to protection and convenience, the MODEL D can even be mounted in a standard Eurorack, making it ideal for the studio and/or the road. Owning a MODEL D is like having your own personal time machine, enabling you to freely embrace the past - or shape the future!

True to the Original:
Great care has been taken in designing the MODEL D including the true to the original "D Type" circuitry with its matched transistors and JFETs, ultra-high precision 0.1% thin film resistors and polyphenylene sulphide capacitors. This highly-focused attention to detail is what gives the MODEL D its ultra-flexible sound shaping capability, which covers everything from super-fat bass and lead tones, stunning effects, progressive organ sounds - and all the way out to the otherworldly sounds of your imagination.

Big, Fat Tones:
The inspired synthesizer tracks laid down in the 1970s and '80s are etched in the annals of progressive rock, wave and synth-pop music forever, making them truly classic in every sense of the word. MODEL D's pure analog signal path with legendary VCO, VCF and VCA circuits, lets you recreate all of that magic - or design incredibly fat and original sounds that will make you a legend in your own right!

VCO Triple Play:
MODEL D's 3 highly-flexible Voltage Controlled Oscillators (VCOs) provide an incredible range of 5 waveforms for sculpting the perfect sound. Oscillators 1 and 2 options include: triangular; triangular/saw; saw; square; wide pulse; and narrow pulse, while OSC 3 features: triangular; reverse saw; saw; square; wide pulse; and narrow pulse. Additionally, all 3 VCOs can be adjusted across an extremely-wide, 6-octave range (LO, 32', 16', 8', 4', and 2'). This amazing flexibility gives you all the tools you need to be your creative best.

24 dB Ladder Filter and VCA:
The very heart of MODEL D's sound is its highly-flexible 24 dB Ladder Filter, which lets you freely experiment with the Cutoff Frequency, Emphasis, and Contour to dial in the perfect sound. MODEL D's Filter Mode switch can be set to either Lo- or Hi-pass for selecting the range of your choice. You can also adjust the Attack, Decay, and Sustain controls to affect the cutoff frequency with time. The VCA Decay switch lets you set the length of time the note lingers after the key has been released. Additionally, support for filter-keytracking allows you to select how much filtering is applied based on the note being played. And if you want to add modulation, just set the Filter Modulation switch to the On position and use the Controllers Mod Mix knob to make it so. The VCA can even be overloaded via MODEL D's feedback circuit to add insane spice and edge to your sounds - without saying "goodbye" to your precious low-end content.

Making Waves:
You are always in complete control of MODEL D's onboard modulators, which features: adjustable Tune; Mod Depth; LFO Rate; Glide (portamento); and Mod Mix knobs. A range of switches is provided for selecting between: triangle or square wave oscillation; modulation On or Off; OSC 3 or Filter EG (Filter Envelope); and Noise (Mod SRC) or LFO. The Tune knob is used to adjust the frequency of OSC 1, 2 and 3 (as long as the OSC 3 switch is turned off). The internal Noise generator, which is switchable between either Pink or White noise for dramatically expanded waveform generation, is the default modulation source, unless an external Mod Source is connected at the 3.5 mm input jack. As we stated earlier, the BEHRINGER MODEL D is the ultimate mono, all-analog synthesizer in its class - especially when it comes to sound quality, versatility and affordability.

True to the Original:

Great care has been taken in engineering the VOCODER VC340, including the true to the original analogue circuitry, which makes it extremely easy for you to recreate the classic vocoder sounds that made a tremendous impact on synth-based rock. This highly-focused attention to detail is what gives the VOCODER VC340 its ultra-flexible sound shaping capability, which covers everything from super-fat voice and string ensembles to stunning effects - and all the way out to the otherworldly sounds of your imagination.

You Provide VOCODER VC340's Unique Voice:

Unlike the original vocoders of the 1970s and '80s, you get to use your favourite microphone with the VOCODER VC340. A dedicated XLR input connector is provided on the rear panel that allows any Low-Impedance (Lo-Z) dynamic mic (not incl.) to modulate the onboard synthesized sounds.

Multiple-Stage Chorus:

Nothing fattens up the sound of a vocal choir or string section better than a truly-great chorus! That's why VOCODER VC340's chorus features authentic analogue BBD (Bucket Brigade Delay) technology, which hands the signal off across multiple processing stages for the ideal amount of luscious thickening.

Controls & Connectivity:

We just can't help ourselves - like you, we're gear-heads, too. For those who want the numbers, VOCODER VC340 has 32 knobs, faders and switches, all laid out in a highly-intuitive format that puts the joy back into your music creation. Input and output connections include: Mic In; Phones; External Synth In; Control (Vocoder Hold & Pitch pedal inputs); Audio Out (Mono & Stereo with 3-position Level switch); and MIDI (I/O and Thru) via USB/MIDI DIN.

When it comes to not just pushing envelopes but creating them, VOCODER VC340 gives your imagination its voice - and it's so very affordable. When modern performance calls for that classic analogue sound - it calls for the Behringer VOCODER VC340!
