Notes: The Old Blood Noise Endeavors Expression Slider is a fader for use with any pedal that has an Old Blood style expression input (see details below). Simply use a TRS cable to plug the Expression Slider into the Expression input and use the slider as you would a knob or expression pedal. Details: the Expression Slider uses a TRS jack with tip connected to the wiper of a 100K slider. Old Blood Noise confirmed that it works with all their other products, as well as pedals from Chase Bliss, Meris, Earthquaker Devices, Empress, Montreal Assembly, Strymon, EHX, and Boss. It will not work with TS style expression inputs such as Line6 without an additional TRS splitter cable.

Notes: Module A-151 (Quad Sequential Switch) is like an electronic four-position rotary switch.

It includes trigger and reset inputs, four in/outputs, and a common out/input. Each time a pulse is received at the trigger input socket, the common out/input is connected to the next in/output. After the fourth in/output, the next trigger makes it step back to the first again, and so on. A positive pulse at the reset input switches the out/input immediately back to the first in/output. Voltages in the range -8V...+8V at the O/I resp. I/O sockets can be processed by the module.

Four LED's indicate the active in/output (ie. the one that is connected to the out/input at any particular time).

Sends provide the ability to sidechain inputs to multi-input effects plugins. Finally, each of the mixer tracks can be routed to any output on your audio interface, now that's flexibility.

- Effects - What about effects? FL Studio 20 includes more than 40 effects spanning maximization, limiting, compression, delay, distortion, equalization (graphic & parametric), filtering, phasing, flanging, chorus, vocoding and reverb. These have you covered for the creative broad-brush effects, through to the minutia of the mastering process.

Notes: Erica Pico INPUT module is just what you need to interface your modular system with external synths or even your mp3 player or mobile phone.

It boosts external signal to modular synth signal level.

With the Pico Input, line signals from, for example, a synthesizer, drum-computer, audio interface or smartphone can be raised to modular level. The module delivers up to 40 dB of gain. Thanks to its two channels, users can comfortably process mono as well as stereo material.

The Pico Input comes equipped with two signal paths. Each signal path features an audio input, a volume potentiometer and an output. Up to 40 dB of amplification are available. Using jumpers on the circuit board, it is possible to dampen the maximum gain to 20 dB. The module's first input is a stereo jack, meaning the user can connect a smartphone or tablet without any adapter cables. In this case, incoming signals are distributed internally to both channels.

Notes: The 'HPO' is an affordable super slim and skiff friendly no frills stereo headphone driver output for your modular synthesiser. Includes a volume control and ability to double up a mono signal into stereo. A great use for that left over 2hp in a skiff or larger system.

Notes: A-138s is a simple but useful 4-in-2 mixing tool. It has four inputs available. Each input is equipped with an attenuator (Level) and a panning control that is used to distribute the signal to the left and right output. Beyond stereo mixing it is equally suited to create variable parallel routings. For example: Any of the four inputs may be routed in variable intensity to feed two filters.

You may regard the A-138s as a smaller version of the A-138m Matrix Mixer.

Inputs and outputs are DC coupled, i.e. the module can be used for the mixing of control signals too.

Notes: Module A-148 (Dual S&H) has two identical sample & hold modules, designed to produce 'staircase' voltages. The signal present at the sample input is sampled at a rate set by the signal at the trigger input, and held at that voltage at the S&H output.

The exact shape of the staircase depends on the sort of waveform at the sample input: NOISE or RANDOM signals produce random patterns; an LFO produces rising or falling staircase patterns.

Two LEDs for each S&H indicate the voltage (positive or negative) of the sampled signal.

Notes: Duatt is a dual-channel active/buffered attenuverter and summing mixer. Each channel has a knob, which can function as a unipolar attenuator or a bipolar attenuverter, depending on the setting of its corresponding two-position polarity switch. It's a versatile and super handy utility module that will find its way into almost any patch you make!

Each input is normalled to a built-in +5V DC voltage source. With nothing plugged into the jacks, each knob controls a voltage range of 0 to +5 V or -5 to +5 V depending on the position of the channel polarity switch.

Channel A's output is normalled into the output of channel B for mixing duties, and channel A has a 2x voltage multiplier switch, allowing you to double the voltage sent into Channel A.

Notes: Low-cost, portable, compact enclosure that turns Eurorack modules into table-top instruments.

The Pod60 Unpowered is 60HP with 1.34" (34mm) of available module depth. No power supply is included, you must supply your means of powering modules with a DIY power supply or a front-facing module such as the Row Power. Two holes on the rear face are plugged with removable plastic plugs, and can be used for DIY applications.

Notes: Module A-183-9 is a simple power supply for up to four devices which can be powered via USB (e.g. keyboards, smartphones). An LED shows is the +5V are present.

PLAY - THE ACTION:
The keys are a keyboard controller's most important feature. So we made sure that the SE49 has keys that are fun and expressive to play: Its synth-action keybed has 49 velocity-sensitive full-size keys with a defined and firm feel. And as everyone has their own playing style and preferences, we have included a choice of 4 different velocity curves (plus 3 fixed ones) so you can adjust the keyboard response to your needs.

PERFORM - THE PERFORMANCE CONTROLS:
No matter if you want to play a complex solo in the style of Herbie Hancock or are just trying to make an EDM wobble bass more lively by adding modulation: the SE49's large Pitch Bend and Modulation Wheels will get you there. They have a tight grip and offer just the right resistance. For piano-style sustain effects, you can connect a switch or pedal to the foot switch socket on the back of the SE49.

BUTTON UP - THE CONTROLS:
Four buttons and one MIDI-assignable fader to the left of the keys make the SE49 even more flexible: Shift the keyboard up or down -3/+4 octaves with multi-coloured LED indicators showing the exact status. Or transpose the keys +/- 12 semitones with the transpose buttons right below.

CUSTOM MIDI ASSIGNMENTS:
Take control a notch further: Most soft- and hardware products with MIDI have their parameters assigned to so-called MIDI CC messages. This lets you do cool things such as changing filter cutoff, panning, effects bypass or any other parameter that has a MIDI CC assigned to it from a hardware control on your SE49.

Simply set the MIDI Fader, Modulation Wheel or foot switch pedal to control the MIDI CC message you want. Your assignments are stored over power cycling, so next time you can continue where you left off right away.

How about getting a better workflow without any of this nerdy stuff? How about transport control, level mixing and track selection directly from the SE49? Take control of your DAW's most important functions with our Nektar DAW Integration software! With Smart Chord activated, pressing a single key or pad will play a full chord rather than just one note. The key or pad you press will determine the root note in the chord. The rest of the chord's properties (Major, Minor, and Voicing - 1,3,5; 1,3,5,7, etc.) are determined by the settings you choose. Smart Chord also has a Custom Mode which lets you to determine the chord structure that will be assigned to each key by manually playing it. For example, if you select Custom Mode, and play a 1-b3-5-b7 chord, every key will then be assigned to play this chord structure. The note of the key you press will serve as the root of the chord and all of the parameters can be edited right on the Oxygen Pro Mini!

The Oxygen Pro Mini also features intelligent Smart Scale technology. With Smart Scale, you can set the key bed so that only notes in the selected scale are able to be played. Notes: MoCo is a fully passive monitor controller that helps you to provide perfect control over the playback volume of your studio monitors.

"Fully passive" means that there are no active components involved, that could in any way alter the audio signal - keeping the maximum sound quality level for your studio monitors. MoCo provides two separate stereo inputs (one with balanced 1/4" TRS connectors, one with both unbalanced RCA and unbalanced 1/8" TRS connectors) and two separate stereo outputs (one with balanced XLR connectors, one with balanced / unbalanced 1/4" TRS plus unbalanced 1/8" TRS connectors). MoCo does not change your signals from unbalanced to balanced: what goes in, goes out!

Notes: The PHASER module runs the signal through a chain of all pass filters, which brings a very distinctive sound when the filter stages are modulated. It receives MIDI CC messages and turns them into expression outputs, allowing players to unlock MIDI control over their expression-enabled devices.

Where once there was only a foot, now there is envelope control, LFO control, snapping to preset positions: any MIDI shape can express an OBNE (or similar) device.

Language is hard: let's start at the start. Communication is complex, beautiful a real thorn in our sides. Many languages, dialects, standards. Some similar, some vastly different. A linear sweep, a barrage of Bits.

Music, of course, is meant to be the universal language, but Old Blood Noise Endeavors' devices don't see it that way.

The MIDI To Expression Translator (MTET) does exactly what it says on the tin. It receives MIDI messages from external MIDI devices and uses those MIDI messages to create four separate Expression outputs for use with external expression enabled devices.

MTET uses a 50k digital pot, wired for TRS connection with the tip active (connected to the wiper). It is assumed the external expression-enabled unit will apply to the sleeve and reference voltage to the ring. It is configured to communicate with other devices using this standard. Its primary purpose is to interface with Old Blood Noise Endeavors pedals and serve as a communicator between them and a MIDI controller. However, it will work with many other units that use the same expression setup as OBNE.

Notes: Module A-145-4 is a simple quad LFO (Low Frequency Oscillator). Not a very "exciting" module, just a bread-and-butter device and a simple demon for work. Virtually in every modular system several LFOs are required for modulation purposes. The module contains four simple LFOs with the waveforms triangle and rectangle. A dual colour LED (red = positive / yellow = negative output voltage) indicates the triangle output of each LFO. The frequency range can be chosen for each LFO individually by means of a jumper between about 50 Hz ... 0.04 Hz (about 20 seconds, jumper removed) and about 2Hz ... 0.002 (about 8 minutes, jumper installed).

The module can be treated as a slimmed version of the quad LFO A-143-3 as it has similar features available. But the distances between the controls are smaller and rubberized small-sized knobs are used. In return the front panel has 4 HP only which is less than one third of the A-143-3. The module is primarily planned for applications where only limited space is available. The functional difference compared to the A-143-3 are the missing sawtooth outputs and frequency range switches.
