Review: Map Of Africa is finally here on the cult label, Whatever We Want Records. Beautifully packaged in a deluxe gatefold sleeve, the "Map Of Africa" LP is an instant collectors item. Kicking off with the great Eddy Grant cover of "Black Skin Blue Eyed Boys", it's a trippy journey into the more psychedelic and dubby echelons of psych rock. It also features "Gonna Ride" and "Dirty Lovin" which are pretty much impossible to get hold of elsewhere. This one is highly limited, like all the Whatever We Want releases.

Review: After a controversial incident on stage in Miami shortened The Doors' 1969 tour, the band roared back in 1970 with the astounding "Morrison Hotel", followed by an inspired tour; their last with singer Jim Morrison. This release celebrates the beginning of an era's end with a three disc set that captures the tour's first stop at the Boston Arena on April 10th 1970. Featuring complete recordings of both the early and late shows, with more than three hours of music and mayhem, "Live In Boston" finds keyboardist Ray Manzarek, drummer John Densmore and guitarist Robby Krieger at the peak of their powers as Morrison leads them on a booze-fuelled romp through classic Doors tracks. Most of the material on "Live In Boston" is almost entirely previously unreleased (only 2 out of 46 tracks have appeared elsewhere). The album is mixed and mastered by the band's long-time engineer Bruce Botnick, who recorded the shows on multi-track tape.
