The incoming signal amplitude is controlled by a [GAIN] attenuverter circuit allowing to attenuate the signal as well as invert its phase.

It receives MIDI CC messages and turns them into expression outputs, allowing players to unlock MIDI control over their expression-enabled devices.

Where once there was only a foot, now there is envelope control, LFO control, snapping to preset positions: any MIDI shape can express an OBNE (or similar) device.

Language is hard: let's start at the start. Communication is complex, beautiful a real thorn in our sides. Many languages, dialects, standards. Some similar, some vastly different. A linear sweep, a barrage of Bits.

Music, of course, is meant to be the universal language, but Old Blood Noise Endeavors' devices don't see it that way.

The MIDI To Expression Translator (MTET) does exactly what it says on the tin. It receives MIDI messages from external MIDI devices and uses those MIDI messages to create four separate Expression outputs for use with external expression enabled devices.

MTET uses a 50k digital pot, wired for TRS connection with the tip active (connected to the wiper). It is assumed the external expression-enabled unit will apply to the sleeve and reference voltage to the ring. It is configured to communicate with other devices using this standard. Its primary purpose is to interface with Old Blood Noise Endeavors pedals and serve as a communicator between them and a MIDI controller. However, it will work with many other units that use the same expression setup as OBNE.

Notes: NANOPATCH M is a tiny and incredibly versatile patch bay, with mini jacks sockets on both the rear and the top panel. It is ideal for connecting to instruments and a mixer when used in conjunction with NANOPATCH X.

It also works with CV, so can be used as a breakout box for semi-modular synths with outputs in hard-to-reach places (e.g. Moog Grandmother) and devices that output CV over TRS sockets (e.g. MPC ONE).

Mini jack sockets on the back panel makes it easy to connect to eurorack systems and small instruments such as Korg Volcas.

3.5 mm to 6.35 mm cables can be used when connecting to equipment with 1/4" sockets.

Using standard eurorack cables, easily patch signals from a NANOPATCH M through effects connected to a NANOPATCH X (and back again).

How It Works

Rear sockets labelled 1/2, 3/4, 5/6 and 7/8 can be used for either mono or stereo signals. For example, if a TRS cable is plugged into rear socket 1/2, the left and right channels will break out to sockets 1 and 2 on the top panel. If another cable is plugged into rear socket 2, rear sockets 1 and 2 will correspond to sockets 1 and 2 on the top panel, both in mono.

Normalling

Channels 1-4 can be full-normalled to channels 5-8 using DIP switches located on the side of the NANOPATCH M.

This allows a signal to pass through from instrument to mixer without the need for any patching. When a patch cable is inserted into either socket of a normalled pair, the connection is broken, allowing for custom routing of the signal.

Typical Setup

A typical setup would be to have four instruments connected to channels 1-4 and four mixer channels connected to channels 5-8.

Connections to the mixer could either be made with four separate mono cables (utilizing the sockets on the side) or with two insert cables (as in the diagram).

Notes: Module A-130-4 contains four linear VCAs with a common level control section for all four VCAs. It can be used for all applications of simultaneous amplitude/level control of up to four different audio or CV signals. A-130-4 is the replacement of the no longer available module A-132-2. Compared to the A-132-2 the width has been reduced from 8HP to 4HP.

Technical notes:

The maximum amplification for each VCA is about 1 ("Man." control fully CW). Even with an external control voltage applied to the CV input the maximum amplification is limited to 1.
The module is equipped with two internal connectors (pin headers with 4 pins each). Pin header #1 can be used to normalize the four inputs to other modules (e.g. Quad LFO A-145-4 or A-147-5, Quad ADSR A-143-2). Pin header #2 can be used to connect the four outputs to other modules.
The max. level at the VCA inputs without clipping/distortion is about 20Vpp or +/-10V.

Notes: Need an offset voltage? Of course you do, you probably need one all the time, and you can never seem to find one. Well, here's two.

Yes, the Stereo Offset boasts not one but TWO linked offset voltages, and even better, they can be independently set as unipolar or bipolar with jumpers on the back of the module. To further aid your adventure in offsetting, bicolor LEDs will indicate the current state of both outputs.

Smoothly transition between voltages to simultaneously control other functions in your system, either by applying identical voltages to two different places, or by using simultaneous unipolar and bipolar signals for advanced control over your Eurorack system.

Notes: This is an envelope follower based on a classic module from the seventies but with some improvements to suit modern needs.

The IN signal is bifurcated to the envelope follower circuit and also to a THRU output, so the original signal is also available for external processing.

The envelope follower has three controls, a switch to select response time (fast, medium, slow), a pot to adjust GATE threshold and a pot to adjust the envelope CV level.

This little module will help you shape the timbre and/or the level envelopes of your sounds. From dynamic envelope filtering to compressor like side chaining there are lots of possibilities to mangle your audio.

Notes: As the name suggests this module can produce sub frequencies of -1 and -2 octaves relative to the square wave signal provided at the input jack.

But this is not just a simple SUB generator. It also has a little mixer that will let you add different levels of -1 and -2 octave signals to the original square wave. You can select the -2 octave signal to be a square wave or a pulse wave.

The module has individual outputs for the mixed signal, the -1 octave and the -2 octave.

However, the actual switching is taken care of by KMA's reliable and sturdy soft switches as a separate active circuit. By employing this switching technology, mechanical noise is greatly reduced, as is the risk of those pesky loud clicks and pops that have plagued so many boards and has haunted so many musicians, since the inception of ABY boxes.

Notes: Module A-130-2v is composed of two identical voltage controlled amplifiers (VCA). Each VCA has a manual gain control (also named Initial Gain) and a control voltage input with attenuator. The character of the control scale can be switched to linear or exponential. All inputs and outputs are DC coupled. Consequently the VCAs can be used to process both audio and control voltages (e.g. for voltage control of the level of LFO or envelope signals). A-138s is a simple but useful 4-in-2 mixing tool. It has four inputs available. Each input is equipped with an attenuator (Level) and a panning control that is used to distribute the signal to the left and right output. Beyond stereo mixing it is equally suited to create variable parallel routings. For example: Any of the four inputs may be routed in variable intensity to feed two filters.

Notes: Hook is a combined drum machine and phrase looper in a single miniature pedal format. The drum section is controlled by the play/pause button which doubles as a Smart Tap Tempo trigger. 11 individual rhythm styles can be selected from to cover a vast range of music genres with output governed by an independent Drum Level control. The inbuilt 24-bit phrase looper has up to 6 minutes recording time with unlimited overdubs. The current tempo is indicated by the integral LED within the Smart Tap Tempo trigger. The Looper recording is activated by tapping the footswitch, tapping again begins playback and tapping again begins overdubbing. Holding the footswitch performs will undo overdubs in sequence or erase the loop when playback is stopped. A choice of two recording modes can be set, with NR mode for normal recording, or AR mode, which will only begin recording when a guitar note is played. Adding to the smart tap tempo operation, the Hook pedal can detect the rhythm of the guitar phrase and set the drum tempo to match it. The guitar loop also has its own level control to balance with the drum track. In addition to guitar input and mixed output jacks, there is a headphones minijack for silent practice. The last remaining connector is a type-C USB for firmware updates and even for saving and loading the onboard loop recording as a WAV file to a PC or mac computer. Notes: MOOER has been impressing musicians around the globe since 2010 with its cutting-edge guitar pedals, and this is set to continue with the new MOOER Purer Octave pedal. MOOER has taken a minimalistic and sleek approach to the design of Purer Octave, whilst leveraging a cutting-edge repitch algorithm to go beyond the functionality of regular octave pedals.

Purer Octave provides guitarists with 15 different polyphonic octave effect combinations in addition to one detune effect. The DSP algorithm separates the high and low input frequencies to ensure every preset operates seamlessly without spectral artifacts or distortions. These two frequency bands can be isolated or combined dynamically through the independent "SUB" and "UPPER" dials, allowing guitarists to finely craft the perfect effect to suit their specific needs.

Despite the minimalistic interface, Purer Octave users can still save their own presets by using the pedal's three-way toggle switch. Guitarists can choose whether to use the pedal's dials in real-time to craft their sound and once they are satisfied with the effect, they can leverage the three-way switch to save their favorite effects. Bypassing the effect simply requires a foot press from the guitarist, the status of which is indicated via an LED light.
