Notes: MOOER has unveiled its latest effect pedal innovation, the MVP1 AUTUNER vocal processor. Unlike most of MOOER's products, this pedal is designed primarily for use with vocals, offering precise pitch correction and exceptional vocal enhancement features. However, MOOER hasn't forgotten about its primary audience, so AUTUNER still provides features that will interest guitarists.

Due to the pedal's primary focus on vocals, the device includes several features specifically designed for microphone usage. This includes XLR input and output, in addition to support for 48V phantom power, ensuring that the pedal supports both dynamic and condenser microphones. However, AUTUNER also includes standard 1/4" guitar inputs and outputs, along with convenient footswitch control to switch between mixed or individual signals.

The pitch correction features behind AUTUNER are highly versatile. With an LED button, users can choose between flat, warm, and bright vocal tones, each indicated by a different colour. Once a tone has been chosen, the 'correction' dial can be used to define the sensitivity of the pitch correction. Users can also press and hold the left footswitch to trigger the pitch correction's vocal synthesizer mode.

AUTUNER's versatility shines particularly brightly thanks to its built-in effects modules. The first of these is delay; the delay module can be can controlled with its dedicated dial, with users having the option to choose between tape delay, digital delay, slapback delay, or bypass. The pedal's left footswitch serves as a tap switch, which allows the user to determine the speed of the delay module.

A reverb module is also featured within AUTUNER. This too has its own dedicated dial, which can be used to morph between room delay, hall delay, and plate delay. Whilst the pitch correction features of the pedal are limited only to vocals, these delay and reverb modules ensure that the pedal has plenty of dedicated features to offer MOOER's guitarist fanbase.

As is common with MOOER products, AUTUNER features a wide range of control mechanisms. In addition to the left footswitch's dual functionality, the right footswitch also acts as a bypass for the pitch correction and effects, whilst still ensuring the tone processing remains active. The pedal's tonal enhancements can then be fully bypassed with the 'flat' tone option.

In addition to its core features, the MVP1 AUTUNER also includes a gain dial, a 48V phantom power switch for internal microphone amplification, a grounding switch, and a DC 9V 500mA power input. Overall, the features of this pedal ensure that musicians have everything they need for impressive pitch correction, vocal synthesis, and special processing, whilst ensuring that they never have to rely on external batteries.

Classic Tones with Vintage Mode

Introduced in 1982, the OC-2 was the world's first modern octave pedal for guitar and bass. Enhanced Poly Mode

Extended Range with Octave Up

Each of the 8 ports can either be used as a MIDI input or as a MIDI output, replacing not only traditional MIDI interfaces like it's popular predecessor models with 4 inputs and 4 outputs, but providing also other possible configurations. The original Attack Decay Tape Reverse Simulator is known for producing volume and reverse swells, backward tape sounds, artificially short staccato notes, and bowed instrument effects. In 2019 the digital Attack Decay reissue was released, and now the Pico Attack Decay gives us volume envelope effects in a simplified, compact package.

The Pico Attack Decay allows you to dial in volume swells and decays, both in Mono mode-one volume envelope for all notes you play-and the revolutionary Poly mode where each note to has its own volume envelope creating cascading swell effects and leads with agile attack smoothing. With intuitive functionality and simple controls, the Pico Attack Decay opens up creative avenues for any player interested in pushing the (volume) envelope.

The Pico Attack Decay is both powerful and simple with four knobs and a mode button that let you create a wide variety of effects. The ATTACK knob sets the swell or fade-in speed of the volume envelope while the DECAY knob sets the fade-out speed of the volume envelope. Set the ATTACK higher for languid volume swells. Set the DECAY higher for artificially staccato notes for synth-like punches. SENS adjusts the threshold for triggering the envelope. VOL controls the overall output volume. A hidden BLEND control allows you to blend wet and dry signals for even more flexibility in tone.

Notes: Module A-101-8 is a 8-stage phase shifter which uses light-sensitive resistors (LDR) and is a replica of the Compact Phasing A manufactured by the company Schulte in the seventies. The actual phasing circuit is identical to the historic model. Only the illumination control of the LDRs is different: the A-101-8 uses LEDs to illuminate the LDRs, the historic model used incandescent miniature lamps. And the A-101-8 has no built-in LFO but can be controlled by any external control voltage source (e.g. LFO, ADSR, random, Theremin, ribbon controller, sequencer, midi). The phasing offset (i.e. the base value for the phase shifting) and the modulation depth of the external control signal can be adjusted separately. The Compact Phasing A had no offset control but only a depth control for the built-in LFO. Feedback and mixing ratio of the output signal are set by two controls. The audio input is equipped with an attenuator. The module has two audio outputs available (same as the historic model) and a visual display of the phase shifting.

The module has these controls and in/outputs available:

Control Man. : manual control of the phase shift offset (base value)

Control CV: attenuator for the signal applied to the CV socket

Control Feedb.: Feedback or Resonance (similar function as filter resonance/feedback/emphasis)

Control Mix: sets the mixing ratio between original and phase shift signal appearing at output 1

fully CCW: only the modified input signal appears at output 1 (see note below *)

center: a mixture between the modified input signal and the phase shift signal appears at output 1, that's the standard position for the classical phasing effect

fully CW: the pure phase shifted signal appears at output 1 (e.g. for vibrato effects)

The module has some peculiarities (same as the historic model):

The input signal is processed at first by a pre-stage which outputs a "modified" input signal (*). This signal is not processed by the phase shift stages but is affected by the feedback setting. Only when feedback is set to zero this signal is identical to the input signal. Otherwise it contains feedback components.

This signal is output on socket Out 2.

When both output sockets Out 1 and Out 2 are used as stereo channels one obtains a spatial stereo sound effect.

The same signals is also used for the CCW position of the mix control. With mix control fully CCW the unmodified signal appears only if the feedback control is set to zero. Otherwise it contains feedback components.

The historic model had two audio inputs: one 5-pin DIN socket and a 1/4" jack socket. The DIN socket was intended for high-level line signals. When the 1/4" jack socket was used the amplification of the pre-stage increased by about 100. The 1/4" jack socket was intended for low level signals (e.g. electric guitars or microphones). For this feature the A-101-8 has an internal jumper that can be used to increase the amplification. As long as the module is used within the A-100 system usually the lower amplification is used to avoid distortion.

The 8 photo resistors and LEDs are assembled within an small lighproof box. In addition the pc boards are made of lighproof black material to avoid interfering light from other modules or the bus board.

Tone: Shapes the overall tonality of the reverb. On Deep and Lush this controls the cutoff of a synth-style lowpass filter. On Haze this controls the width of a resonant bandpass filter, filtering both high and low end at the right, and allowing more high and low to pass through at the left.
Mix: Control the mix of the effect and the original clean signal. All the way to the left outputs only the fully clean signal, and all the way to the right outputs only the affected Reverb signal.
Slide Switch - The slide switch allows you to change between three distinct Reverb algorithms.

Trails Mode - The Fundamental Ambient Reverb comes with trails mode active by default, to disengage trails mode hold down the bypass stomp switch when applying power to the pedal. Once the LED flashes it indicates that trails mode is turned off. To re-engage trails mode, repeat the process, and wait for the LED to turn dark, indicating that trails mode is back on. With trails mode active, your reverb decay will fade off naturally after turning the pedal off. With trails mode inactive, the decay abruptly cuts off when you turn off the pedal.

Helium packs a lot of utility into a small package: three 1-to-3 precision buffered multiples and one precision adder. Helium works exceptionally well with both CV and audio signals and the beautiful blue and red LEDs give you immediate feedback on the signals passing through.

Unlike some other so-called "precision" mults & adders out there, Helium features high-quality, low-offset, low-drift op-amps and 0.05% thin film resistors. You'll have a hard time finding another mult on this level.

Each buffered multiple is normalled to the one above it, so you can operate it as a 1-to-9 multiple if needed.

Notes: Module A-147-5v contains four voltage controlled low frequency oscillators (VCLFO) with triangle waveform outputs. All LFOs share a common frequency control. Each of the LFOs 2, 3 features a Delta control which is used to shift the frequency of the LFO in question up or down. With the Delta controls at center positions the frequencies of all LFOs are roughly the same. To control the frequencies by external control voltages four CV inputs are available which follow roughly the 1V/oct standard.

Application examples:

Generation of modulation signals for polyphonic FM/PWM applications. For this the four CV inputs are connected to the same control voltages which are used to control the frequencies of the corresponding VCOs. That way each LFO follows the frequency of the associated VCO with the possibility to control the frequency of all VCOs (control F) and the frequency deviations (Delta F controls). For the simultaneous modulation depth control the Quad VCA module A-130-4 is recommended.
Generation of complex modulation signals by summing up the outputs (e.g. by means of a mixer module A-138n / A-138i / A-138j)

Technical notes:

The CV inputs are normalled from top to bottom. Provided that only socket CV1 is patched CV1 controls the frequencies of all four LFOs.
When each CV input is patched to it's own control voltage each LFO is controlled individually by it's own CV. In this case CV1 controls only the frequency of LFO1.
Internally the rectangle outputs are available at four terminals (typ level +/-10V or 20Vpp). If required they can be wired to four sockets of a DIY breakout module made by the user, 1k protection resistors are recommended to avoid short circuits. If lower levels are required passive attenuators (voltage dividers) may be used.
Internally is even an (unbufferd) triangle sum signal available. For this each of the four triangle outputs is simply connected to the sum output terminal via a 47k resistor. This output has high impedance and should be buffered or amplified to avoid level drop when the load changes (e.g. by means of an A-180-3 or A-180-4 or A-183-3).

By changing the values of the capacitors in the LFO circuits even other frequency ranges are possible (e.g. Quad VCO to form kind of a cloud VCO). Pay attention that the accuracy of the CV input scales is not sufficient for precise 1V/oct VCO applications. The 1V/Oct scales cannot be adjusted and the circuits are not temperature compensated.

Notes: The Blumes is an overdrive based on the Plumes circuit that is ideal for bass players and all purveyors of low-end. While embodying the key characteristics and features of the Plumes, EQD went ahead and modified this circuit with double the gain and a deeper bass response to retain all the low end.

At lower gain settings, you'll get all of the crunchy tone you love about the original, but once you get above noon on the Gain control, that's where the similarities stop.

This all-analogue tri-mode overdrive with soft clipping carries the torch of the classic screamer circuit but has a voice all its own. The Andy Summers Walking on the Moon is an analogue flanger with a simple but powerful control set of RATE, RANGE, and COLOR. RATE sets the speed of modulation which ranges from slow, smooth filter sweeps to jittering vibrato. RANGE controls how narrow or wide the effect sweeps into the bass frequency range. The COLOR control effects the intensity of the flanger effect from subtle chorusing effects to classic jet woosh sounds. These three controls interact to create a wide breath of modulation effects.

Additionally, the Walking on the Moon includes a FILTER MATRIX which disengages the LFO from the flanger circuit, freezing the flanger giving a fixed filter effect, which can add chime or metallic overtones to your sound without the movement of a traditional modulation pedal. A DRY output allows you to split your dry signal from the effected signal.

Take a DJ-mixer-style combined high-pass and low-pass filter, cram it into Eurorack and you have the DJ VCF. A simple formula, but one perfected by Erica's attention to detail, with CV control and adjustable resonance.

Supplier's Notes:
As its name suggests, the Erica Synths Black DJ VCF provides sound treatment functionality typically found on DJ decks - it is fully open when the cutoff knob is set to 12:00. When turned counter-clockwise, lowpass filtering is applied and when turned clockwise, highpass filtering is applied. The filter also has a nice-sounding resonance parameter. This module provides hands-on control over the sound during the performance, as well as unconventional timbre modulations that are hard to achieve with conventional state variable filters. The Black DJ VCF is a fully analogue design and consists of two VCFs - highpass and lowpass in series and the filter management is done by complex CV routing.

CUTOFF
This is the main control of the module - manual cutoff frequency adjustment with a twist - it's fully open when the cutoff knob is set to 12:00. When turned counter-clockwise, lowpass filtering is applied and when turned clockwise, highpass filtering is initiated

Notes: An ultra-compact 10HP VC filter with bags of personality. Camber can be treated as a subtle, non-intrusive sound design tool, or something much more lively.

Camber is designed to be a fun, tactile filter with a small footprint. It's sound is neutral enough for basic filtering without a fuss, with a much more aggressive tone available using high resonance settings in three-pole mode.

Filter Core

The core of the filter is based on a state variable topology using 2164 VCAs and 1% tolerance integrating capacitors. Resonance and feedback control is provided by the fantastic circuit design originally by Neil Johnson "Voltage Controlled 3-Pole State Variable Filter" recently made available in Sound Semiconductor documentation.

Operation

Camber is switchable between low pass and high pass responses with one pole (6dB) and three pole (18dB) flavours of each. It has full CV control of both cutoff frequency and resonance amount. The input is DC-coupled allowing LFO and CV signals to be routed through the filter. The filter will also act as a simple oscillator producing a clean sinusoidal signal with the resonance control turned *almost fully clockwise, and no signal at the audio input. Dialling in the resonance so that it is just under the point of self-oscillation allows the filter to be "Pinged" by sending gate signals to the audio input. This is useful for tuned percussion sounds and FX.

The P4B2 controller provides 4 potentiometers and 2 push buttons for free assignment to any of the DROID's parameters.

Each potentiometer outputs a value between 0 and 1 and can be used for controlling every aspect of the functions of your DROID patch (configuration), such as the speed or depth of an LFO, the pitch of a sequencer step, all aspects of an envelope, clock division and multiplication and much much more.

The buttons can be used as momentary or toggle buttons, if you like with three or four states. Or you can group several buttons together so that they work like "radio buttons". Buttons can be used for various tasks like switching between different behaviours, selecting wave forms, switching steps of a step sequencer, changing the root or scale of a quantizer or chord generator and much more. Also you can use buttons for overlaying a single pots with multiple switchable functions.

You can attach up to 16 controllers to one DROID master. This is done with a 6 pin ribbon cable. This module gets its power from the DROID master.

Notes: MOOER burst onto the music products scene in 2010 and has been impressing guitarists ever since. However, the company has expanded it's horizons this year with its VP vocal processing pedal series. The MVP2 Harmonier is a powerful example of this - it's a versatile and innovative vocal processor pedal designed to elevate both vocal and guitar performance, offering tonal precision, creativity, and convenience in one compact pedal.

At its core, the pedal offers a versatile pitch harmonizer effect. The 'Key' dial allows users to choose to harmonize their important with any note in the chromatic scale, with the 'Sharp' LED button being used to select sharp notes. Once chosen, the 'Mode' dial facilitates further customization, offering 11 different harmony modes that control the harmony's interval. This includes all classic intervals such as octaves, fifths, and thirds.

The 'Level' dial adjusts the volume of the harmonizer effect, but Harmonier offers even further tonal flexibility thanks to its reverb function. Users can press and hold the 'Sharp' button while rotating the 'Level' dial, which allows them to adjust the volume of the pedal's internal reverb module. The pedal also offers tone modes: flat, warm, and bright. These can be controlled by activating the pedal's unique 'hidden mode' and using the 'sharp' button.

'Hidden mode' is activated by pressing and holding both of the pedal's footswitches, but this is just one example of Harmonier's unique control system. The left footswitch can be held to save effect presets, and pressed to scroll through 7 preset slots. The right footswitch can be pressed to turn on the pedal's effects, pressed again to isolate the reverb, and held to turn off all effects except for the tone setting.

Unlike most of MOOER's pedal offerings, Harmonier supports both XLR and 1/4" inputs and outputs. These can be used in 'mixed mode' by holding the right footswitch whilst plugging in the power supply or repeating this action again to switch to 'individual mode', which isolates the signals to their given ports.

Alongside its fundamental functionalities, the pedal features a gain dial, a 48V phantom power switch designed for internal microphone amplification, a grounding switch, and a DC 9V 500mA power input. Notes: Module A-171-4 is a fourfold voltage controlled slew limiter. It's intended purpose is polyphonic portamento but can be used also for other applications where several slew limiters are required.
The common slew time can be adjusted manually and in addition controlled by an external control voltage. The module uses light-sensitive resistors (LDR). Therefore the slew times are not exactly the same for all units due to the tolerances of the LDRs and the LEDs, which are used to illuminate the LDRs. Inputs and outputs of the slew limiters are buffered to avoid voltage drops. This is especially important for polyphonic portamento applications. Each output can drive several VCOs without the need of external buffers. In addition the slew limiter inputs and outputs are available at internal pin headers for internal pre-wiring of polyphonic patches. As the switching contacts of the sockets are used for the internal pre-patching the internal patch can be overridden by using the sockets at the front panel.

Technical notes:

Each light-sensitive resistor (LDR) forms together with an associated capacitor a simple standard RC network (Resistor/Capacitor network). Input and output of each network are buffered.

The slew time range is about 5 ms ... 10 s (1:2000). Due to the tolerances of the LDRs and the LEDs the slew times vary a bit for each unit. By changing the capacitor values this range can be altered: by lowering the capacitor values the slew limiters can be used as 6dB low pass filters. Increasing the capacitor values result in longer slew times

The 4 photo resistors and LEDs are assembled within an small lighproof box. In addition the pc boards are made of lighproof black material to avoid interfering light from other modules or the bus board.

On the module pc boards two pin headers with 4 pins each are available. These are planned for the internal pre-patching of polyphonic modules:

In 1...4: The pins of this pin header are connected to the switching contacts of the sockets In 1...4. Hereby an internal four-wire connection to the CV outputs of the polyphonic midi-CV-interface A-190-5 can be made. As long as the sockets In 1...4 are not used the internal connection to the A-190-5 is established.

Out 1...4: The pins of this pin header are connected to the outputs Out 1...4. Hereby an internal four-wire connection to the CV inputs of the polyphonic VCO A-111-4 can be realized. If more than one VCO has to be controlled by one output we offer so-called micro multiples.

Get Amped

Amps comprises two precision linear VCAs that have been carefully designed to offer a wealth of flexibility and additional functionality. The front panel controls and signal normals allow these two VCAs to also be configured to function as: line level boosters, crossfaders, ring modulators, mixers, and much more. They can also be chained together by way of an included cable to form larger, more complex systems.

Amps features cascaded CV inputs and cascaded mix outputs allowing it to be used in a number of versatile configurations. A boost switch enables you to amplify each VCA's input by either +6dB or +20dB i ideal for boosting low amplitude signals or pleasingly overdriving audio. The addition of a phase inversion switch for the second channel allows Amps to function as a ring modulator. The CV normalization, which can also be inverted and offset, also allows for VC-Crossfader functionality.

Signal flow is an essential concept in modular synthesis: the path taken by audio or control voltages (CVs) may be long or short, branching or linear, intuitive or highly complex.

While the patch programmability of a modular system is its greatest strength, it can also be a weakness: quick experimentation is often hampered by the need to repatch the synthesiser to change the signal flow.

Pivot 2 offers a unique solution: a compact, fully voltage controlled variable signal router. At the turn of a single knob, any signal can be routed through two external modules in series, parallel or reverse series, as well as any combination in between.
