It offers up some slick summer sounds on 'Swirl' with its stepping drums and lush, dreamy pads all filling the airwaves with good time vibes. Review: 20 years old and still sounding more future than most jungle records: Paradox dusts off his only release on the late, great, criminally over-looked Partisan imprint. "Too Dissimilar" rides on an absolute pearl of break (even by Paradox's unique standards) that charges out for over eight minutes, digging you deeper and deeper into its dark, alien universe. "Idiosyncrasies" is even further out in the singular solar system. Opening with the clean break (which Paradox has always encouraged sample creativity with) it then drops us into a gravity-free vacuum as we float and sway to classic icy pads before the break is sped up and twisted right before our very eyes. Review: Dave Simms and Dev Pandya's roving Nucleus & Paradox project has been running since the late '90s and featured on many of the great Drum & Bass labels in this time, including a 2005 drop for Metalheadz. Here they add the Metalheadz Platinum sublabel to the list with a two track stormer of the highest quality. "The Return Of..." is a classic example of Nucleus and Paradox's trademark break beats and sub bass approach, rolling out the Think break over a hefty rave bass line with an expertise that few can match. On the B Side "Analogue Life" offers a more restrained take on the pair's approach and it's a fairly menacing production to boot.

Review: Yes! Dev Pandya casts aside the glacial soundscapes of his Alaska material in favour of something wholly ruder on this two tracker under the Paradox banner, which is in fact the 149th vinyl release of a illustrious career thus far. Lead cut on Drum Machine brings to mind Mo'Wax era Peshay with razor sharp break beats cascading off the grid whilst Pandya plays around with a rap vocal, with a sense of rhythmic purpose retained by the rumbling subs and cuts of distorted bass. Paradox's hardcore roots are referenced on "Core Jungle" which is packed with vinyl rip samples, crunched funk breaks and heavy delay - this latter track was apparently written specifically for vinyl mastering and will not surface in digital format.
