Review: Serious under-the-counter business from the Dutch direction that's already enjoyed big download exposure. While "Pressurized" flares up with filtered charm and bulbous drop, most people will be busier on the B as Kelis's classic "Trick Me" gets the 170 fix-up it never knew it needed. Serious business.
Review: The excellent CRST once again smash it on What I Want, the four-headed UKF/garage hybridist monsters' latest EP which makes for a pleasantly alternate look for the typically more D&B shaped Valve imprint. "Pressure" is pure Roska/Funkystepz/Ill Blu funky - rooted on a hypnotic kick and hyped with bruk out snares and gliding pads, it's a simple yet devilishly funky winner. "What I Want" goes out on more of a garage vibe though, with vocalist Allen sitting atop a fluid bass line and DJ Q-esque snares and hats. OG garage/funky don Zed Bias weighs in with a typically full-frontal remix that switches up rhythms and mixes crisp, pitched-up snares with deliciously rounded bass.
Review: A brand new label coming from South America. The first release will put these boys instantly on the map. On the A side we find a monstrous Noisa remix: simple, effective & deadly. Hardcore beats, distorted slamming basslines and a very aggressive overall vibe. The flip features, Catacomb & Identity 2 producers that you'll be hearing more of in the future. Rolling beats and loads of warped sounds, distorted beats and that typical dedicated hard-edge Technoid sound.
