Jeff Mills x Yuri Suzuki collaborated with the Japanese publisher Gakken to create the INSTANT RECORD CUTTING MACHINE.

Designed with universal usability in mind, the compact unit has a simple interface and is able to cut blank vinyl discs and play them back instantly. This is the first time a record cutting machine has been readily available to purchase at a consumer level, and is aimed at both the seasoned record collector, as well as those first venturing into the world of vinyl.

Consisting of a cutting arm as well as a playback tone arm, the machine is unique in its functionality. To cut a record, the user simply plays audio through the provided auxiliary cable or USB and then lifts the cutting arm onto a blank disc. Once the record is cut, users can instantly listen back to their recording through the tone arm and inbuilt speaker.

Yuri Suzuki and his team designed the machine's concept and interface, while Gakken took on a technical and manufacturing role. The machine will be accompanied by a magazine (printed in Japanese) detailing its design and background, as well as an insight into the vinyl cutting process.

Review: Lost & Found might quite a mark on the progressive scene after 100 releases over the 11 years it was in operation. Having closed down mid-way through last year, fans of the label were still clamouring for a best of compilation. The label heard these requests and decided to make one last going away present in the fantastic form of a box set! Six records in total! Notes: Pont-Neuf is an adapeor module which converts between eurorack jacks (3,5mm / 1/8") jacks and banana plugs, providing a simple link between eurorack and Serge 4U systems. The module provides 8 bidirectional channels, is superslim and passive, i.e. does not require a power connection. It does provide a GND-banana-jack to establish a common ground between the systems.
