Plus, you can store up to 150 of your custom effects-chains as patches.

Practice and Perform:

There are 68 built-in rhythm patterns included with the G3n, making it the perfect practice rig and enabling "one-man band" performances. An onboard Looper (which can be used with the rhythm patterns) allows you to record and overdub phrases up to 80 seconds long through the effects of your choice. A built-in chromatic tuner lets you bypass the currently selected patch while tuning, or mute the signal altogether.

Inputs and Outputs:

The G3n can be easily integrated into any live performance or studio rig. In addition to a standard guitar input, there's an auxiliary stereo input for connecting smartphones or music players. It also includes a dedicated headphone jack for practice and dual outputs for mono or stereo L/R connection to guitar amps, PA systems, and audio interfaces. The Mic On/Off feature lets you optimize the G3n for use with a real amp and cabinet (Mic Off) as well as optimize for playing through a PA system or recording direct with amp and cabinet emulators (Mic On).

ZOOM Guitar Lab Software:

The free ZOOM Guitar Lab Mac/Windows software enables you to manage your patches and download new effects and amp/cabinet emulators. Twenty years ago it sounded like an oddly poignant evocation of pre-millennial tension. Two decades later it stands as an eerily prescient glimpe into the technological alienation and dislocation of of a new era. Yet more importantly, OK Computer is no more or less than a sparkling, dramatic and moving collection of songs that haven't lost any of their impact in the interim. The sound of a band stubbornly refusing to follow up the stadium-strafing stylings of its predecessor The Bends - and instead bursting headlong into experimentation and wild creativity -is portrayed in still more vivid colours by the alarmingly strong collection of out-takes and B-sides collected herein, Yet there's no getting away from the chill and spark that marked out OK Computer from everything surrounding it in the post-Britpop malaise, and continues to do so in the pre-Brexit counterpart.

Tallin is a dual voltage controlled amplifier (VCA) with overdrive, offering some unusual control features and a range of attractive tonal characteristics. Each of the two identical channels offers two simultaneously available inputs for voltage control over signal attenuation or gain, with linear and exponential response to CV. Volume control knobs offer manual gain settings ranging from fully closed (-80dB) up to +18dB. A colour LED indicator displays output signal levels. A soft-clip circuit avoids harsh clipping distortion, while a switchable overdrive circuit offers two carefully crafted distortion responses, simulating the sound of classic tube amplifiers.

Since both CV inputs are simultaneously active, they can be jointly exploited within patches featuring more complex volume control that otherwise would require using two traditional VCAs in series. As the signal path is DC-coupled, Tallin can also be used for handling the control voltages.

Notes: Precision buffered multiple and precision adder

Helium packs a lot of utility into a small package: three 1-to-3 precision buffered multiples and one precision adder. Helium works exceptionally well with both CV and audio signals and the beautiful blue and red LEDs give you immediate feedback on the signals passing through.

Unlike some other so-called "precision" mults & adders out there, Helium features high-quality, low-offset, low-drift op-amps and 0.05% thin film resistors. You'll have a hard time finding another mult on this level.

Each buffered multiple is normalled to the one above it, so you can operate it as a 1-to-9 multiple if needed.

Micronova is a miniature 100x30mm power supply with a big soul. It can provide up to 18W of power for your modules and multiple units can be easily daisy chained to power larger systems.

Despite being adorably small, Micronova provides lots of flexibility for custom case builds. It can be powered through an attached DC barrel jack, screw terminals, or through an optional front entry panel.

Micronova is equipped with two Eurorack power headers that can be expanded using a busboard or flying bus cable.

Micronova also has critical safety features including reverse polarity protection, a resettable polyfuse, and over-current shutdown.

Review: New age fans and Celtic music aficionados unite, for high priestess Enya is presenting an authoritative, long awaited vinyl edition of her 1997 greatest hits box set A Box Of Dreams. Enya's enduring popularity since her debut in the mid 80s remains a beacon of hope for humanity - a shout out for optimism and serenity in a world where such qualities feel indulgent if they're to be found at all. Gathering together the best of her work from her 1986 debut up to 1997's Paint The Sky With Stars best of, the music has been arranged around three thematic collections, Oceans, Clouds and Stars, moving from the upbeat via piano instrumentals on to choral and meditative ballads. Sleeve notes and some additional poetry from Roma Ryan make this a special edition which fans will rejoice at.

Review: By 1995 and the release of It's A Man's World, Cher was already up to her 21st studio album. It marked the start of her second period with the Warner Group and hit the Top 10 of the UK Charts as well as being certified gold. It features an unconventional mix of songs that draw on the Deep South as well as her pop and rock roots. The biggest tine of them all is 'Walking In Memphis' which remains an ever popular sing along hit to this day and is a cover of Marc Cohn's song of the same name. This Deluxe Edition reissue comes on eight sides of coloured vinyl.

Modes:

Deep - A dark ambient reverb with an added low octave, perfect for creating murky, cavernous sustain or adding a touch of moody atmosphere.
Lush - A breathy, expansive reverb featuring ultra-long sustain. Perfect for generating silky pads and immersive soundscapes with every note.
Haze - A textured, lo-fi reverb featuring distortion, sample rate reduction, and a resonant bandpass tone control, great for vintage or experimental tones.
Decay: Control the amount of reverb decay time. Left is the minimum and right is the maximum amount of time.
Tone: Shapes the overall tonality of the reverb. On Deep and Lush this controls the cutoff of a synth-style lowpass filter. On Haze this controls the width of a resonant bandpass filter, filtering both high and low end at the right, and allowing more high and low to pass through at the left.
Mix: Control the mix of the effect and the original clean signal. All the way to the left outputs only the fully clean signal, and all the way to the right outputs only the affected Reverb signal.
Slide Switch - The slide switch allows you to change between three distinct Reverb algorithms.

Trails Mode - The Fundamental Ambient Reverb comes with trails mode active by default, to disengage trails mode hold down the bypass stomp switch when applying power to the pedal. Once the LED flashes it indicates that trails mode is turned off. To re-engage trails mode, repeat the process, and wait for the LED to turn dark, indicating that trails mode is back on. With trails mode active, your reverb decay will fade off naturally after turning the pedal off. With trails mode inactive, the decay abruptly cuts off when you turn off the pedal.

Review: Part of the early 80s Sheffield avant-garde scene, In The Nursery was formed at the turn of the decade between twin brothers Nigel and Klive and Humberstone. As living mirror-images, they knew likeness first hand; it seems fitting that they would embrace the imitative, reproductive spirit of industrial music. Under the shared moniker, they would subvert the prevailing mood, agonising grotesque military connotations of an uncertain future by working in a new style, "martial electronica". As heard on this latest set of Recordings made between 1981-1999, their sound was not totally tinny or robotic, making use of cinematic and Romantic tropes in near equal measure to futuristic shock-horrors. From spectacular edge-of-your-seaters ('Stone Souls') to operatic apogees ('Listen') and modish drum machine workouts ('A To I'), this is a comprehensive compilation, just as suited to the spectacular screen as for the auratic DJ set - pick your poison.
