Notes: Curtail is a 4hp voltage scaler used primarily to bring signals from audio Eurorack modules (+/-5V) down to video Eurorack levels (+/-1V). It features four identical channels with an input and an output. The module drops the overall voltage level by a factor of five, bringing 5V signals down to 1V. If you use signals greater than 5V, it will scale them proportionally. Curtail uses video-rate operational amplifiers, allowing you to use modules with +/-5V output levels over a broad range of frequencies.

Notes: The r2rawr in its most simple form is a 5-bit digital to analogue converter. Its basic usage operation is to take gate signals (on or off binary signals) and turn those into stepped analog voltage. It's great to pair with clock dividers, random gate sources, logic modules, gate sequencers, and square wave oscillators/LFOs.

The order from top to bottom of the inputs indicates the weighting of each bit. QO on top has a label next to it reading MSB or Most Significant Bit, while Q4 has LSB next to it, or Least Significant Bit. Each bit input changes the voltage output by half as much as the bit above it.

The r2rawr uses a high speed operational amplifier at its attenuverter and output stages. This means the r2rawr can not only process input signals that exist below and at the audio range, it can operate up to the rate of video signals.

Notes: Yep, it's an attenuator. With a fancy name! And LEDs!

Sinc Defero's inputs are circularly normalled, too, so you can use it as a mult by leaving inputs unpatched.

Notes: The Morphor VCA - Dual Lin/Exp is a compact and complete dual DC-coupled VCA module. This module will definitely come in handy as a general purpose VCA without taking up too much space.

The two separate VCA sections each feature extensive gain control (main knob + attenuated CV jack), an indicator LED and a switch to select Linear or Exponential control. The incoming signal amplitude is controlled by a [GAIN] attenuverter circuit allowing to attenuate the signal as well as invert its phase.
A back jumper can set the maximum gain amount to either x1 (unity gain) or x10. DIY modifications can be made by changing its resistors.
After the Gain an offset can be added to the signal, displacing the signal up or down (-5V to +5V) this can be adjusted using the [OFFSET] knob and CV input

When using no input using the [OFFSET] knob and CV input will generate an output between -5V and +5V.

Volcan is a simple but efficient dual analogue function generator that serves multiple purposes, including as an oscillator, LFO, AD and ASR envelope generator, and slew limiter with independent control over rise and fall times. Notes: This 1U keyboard is destined to both communist (and anarchist) youth and adults, to improve our musical culture. Although no particular skills are required - it will play only one note and won't play another until you release the previous button - therefore you can't go wrong and is well suited for synth-punk or some other of our avant-garde practices.

Can go one octave up & down (covers second, third & forth octave on classic keyboard while you'll set your VCO to go more high or low) The keyboard have a built in glide control.

The glide have rise & fall control switch (the difference is very small, more perceptible in longer slew settings)

This also as the gate is constant, fixed (there's no velocity since those are the on/off tactile switches, however the operation force is minimal to be more agreeable 'in use').

** The pitch is a useful thing especially if you are trained musician or composer. This is the analogue design which means that it is sensible to what analogue devices are usually sensible concerning the pitch (like stability of power supplies, ambient/in case temperature, etc) The critical resistors of voltage dividers around precision trimmers are of 1% (however not 0.1%) which means, considering all those factors, that the small drift in order of millivolst (or two in the higher octave) is possible. If you're able to notice this, that means that you have a perfectly tuned high-end VCOs, even you're into eurorack/ Therefore, if critical, stay with your keyboard. Still, if you're a pro but a geek who loves this small punk keyboard - know that there are precision trimmers on the back and you can tune it to your taste!

Notes: Module A-101-8V is a 8-stage phase shifter which uses light-sensitive resistors (LDR) and is a replica of the Compact Phasing A manufactured by the company Schulte in the seventies. The actual phasing circuit is identical to the historic model. Only the illumination control of the LDRs is different: the A-101-8 uses LEDs to illuminate the LDRs, the historic model used incandescent miniature lamps. And the A-101-8 has no built-in LFO but can be controlled by any external control voltage source (e.g. LFO, ADSR, random, Theremin, ribbon controller, sequencer, midi). The phasing offset (i.e. the base value for the phase shifting) and the modulation depth of the external control signal can be adjusted separately. The Compact Phasing A had no offset control but only a depth control for the built-in LFO. Feedback and mixing ratio of the output signal are set by two controls. The audio input is equipped with an attenuator. The module has two audio outputs available (same as the historic model) and a visual display of the phase shifting.

The module has some peculiarities (same as the historic model):

The input signal is processed at first by a pre-stage which outputs a "modified" input signal (*). This signal is not processed by the phase shift stages but is affected by the feedback setting. Only when feedback is set to zero this signal is identical to the input signal. Otherwise it contains feedback components.

This signal is output on socket Out 2.
When both output sockets Out 1 and Out 2 are used as stereo channels one obtains a spatial stereo sound effect.

The same signals is also used for the CCW position of the mix control. With mix control fully CCW the unmodified signal appears only if the feedback control is set to zero. Otherwise it contains feedback components.

The historic model had two audio inputs: one 5-pin DIN socket and a 1/4" jack socket. The DIN socket was intended for high-level line signals. When the 1/4" jack socket was used the amplification of the pre-stage increased by about 100. The 1/4" jack socket was intended for low level signals (e.g. electric guitars or microphones). For this feature the A-101-8 has an internal jumper that can be used to increase the amplification. As long as the module is used within the A-100 system usually the lower amplification is used to avoid distortion.

The 8 photo resistors and LEDs are assembled within an small lightproof box. In addition the pc boards are made of lightproof black material to avoid interfering light from other modules or the bus board.

Notes: The Touellskouarn "Sil Kontrollet" eurorack module is a LowPass voltage-controlled filter (VCF) The filter is a 12dB per octave low-pass filter that can be self-oscillated, this way it can produce a sine wave with V/Oct tracking capability. This filter has a unique and distinctive sound, characterized by its aggressive resonance and its ability to self-oscillate. Cutoff can be CV controlled. The module is 6HP wide and is made with quality components such as Nichicon/Panasonic caps and alpha pots.

Notes: The "Luskellader Frekans Izel" is a Low Frequency Oscillator (LFO) that can be used to modulate various parameters of the synthesizer, including pitch, filter cutoff, and amplitude. The Erica Synths Envelope Generator 2 is a re-triggerable, looping envelope generator with some unconventional features that are very useful for experimental setups. What sets the Black EG2 apart from other envelope generators is its optional GATE LENGTH setting, which allows for generating full ADSR envelopes even if a short trigger is used at the input. Likewise, in LOOP mode, the module outputs a full ADSR envelope instead of a classical AD envelope. The gate length is both manual and CV controlled, which allows for using this envelope generator in compact modular setups controlled by trigger sequencers only.

LOOP/SINGLE

Select between SINGLE SHOT or LOOP modes. When the internal gate is o , the rise and fall times are set via the A and R knobs. When the internal gate is on, all knobs have an e ect on the envelope shape.

The LED gives visual feedback on the envelope state.

Engage the internal gate and you have a full ADSR envelope in loop mode and with a trigger applied to the trigger input in single mode.

TRIGGER
