Target curves

ARC 4 now comes with 9 factory target curves for most situations. The default curve offers optimally balanced results with other specific curves for different needs or setups.

Adjustable correction range

By default, ARC corrects the entire frequency spectrum, but you can define limits to both upper and lower correction ranges separately. This is useful if you want to preserve the unique voicing of your monitors or are just looking to correct a certain frequency range.

Notes: Another update for WMD's clever dual VCA, this time a little bigger to give more control. Digital control of CV and attenuation gives lots of creative options. Third time's a charm.

Supplier's Notes:
WMD have done several designs of this circuit over the years, the first one had no knobs, the second was too small, the MKIII is finally how this circuit should be packaged. This module does some really cool stuff and is super useful in any system.

The Digital VCA lets signal through like a normal VCA, but the CV and attenuation level is controlled digitally. This lets us do things like wait until there is a zero crossing to change the amplitude, resulting in clickless amplitude changes.

The Trigger mode causes the VCA to only update when a trigger is received. The addition of a noise circuit for each side let us do a very quick and easy sample and hold that never droops. With no input, 5V is normaled to the attenuator, so you get a 0-5V sample and hold. In Bipolar mode, you can get -5 to +5V.

Both sides have bipolar VCA mode (polarizer), which lets them invert the signal when negative CV comes in. Also known as ring modulation. With the zero crossing detector, this can produce some super wild wave shapes.

Notes: Streichfett combines the best of the now extinct species of String Synthesizers of the 70s and early 80s. Its dual sound engine features a fully polyphonic strings section and a monophonic solo section, which is essential for recreating how adult movies sounded thirty years ago. The Ensemble Effect handles lubrication of the String Section, while the Effects section adds adjustable Phaser or Reverb. Alternatively, the Effect section can be used to animate the strings registration, allowing spectacular sound morphs.

The Solo Section offset presets named Bass, E-Piano or Clavi, and just like in your typical string machine, the sound has little to do with that name. Instead, these are shimmering and slightly percussive sounds that blend well with the string section.

In Through Zero oscillators, frequency is controlled by either positive and negative voltage. If FM CV goes below zero, the core will continue oscillating inverting its phase. This "little" change of behaviour allows the core to create a whole new range of timbres that are just impossible to achieve with regular VCOs.

Eons is a five-state fuzz capable of massively thick sounds ready to test the limits of any amp's grill cloth.
Notes: For Eons, man has thought the sound of thunder to be from the heavens above, echoing boastfully over us as we stay safe from its greatness. However, legend tells of a stoic and indomitable beast residing in the highest mountains seen and heard only by the most brash of travelers. With gnarled and twisted horns, this creature emits a sound thicker than Earth's crust to command attention and warn all who stand in his way. This is Eons.

Eons is a five-state fuzz capable of massively thick sounds ready to test the limits of any amp's grill cloth. Use the Voltage (lightning bolt) knob to crank up to 18 volts into the pedal's circuit for massive, open fuzz sounds, or choose to starve it down to 3 volts for spatty, gated fuzz. Experiment with the Voltage and Mode knobs for nearly endless styles of fuzz tones. Find vintage-inspired sounds emanating from the stages of Woodstock to chaotic three-chord punk rock. Eons is ready for a fight.

The Eons features a five-position rotary knob that offers the following clipping configurations. Think of them as different "flavors" of the pedal:
I. Silicon soft clipping traditional fuzz that's well rounded with a huge sound; compressed and smooth.
II. Silicon clipping with an added bass boost that boosts the low end at the beginning of the circuit; compressed and crunchy.III. Germanium soft clipping with a feel of "what if a distortion and fuzz had a kid?"; crunchy and dynamic.
IV. LED clipping diodes with a slight high-end cut; dynamically dark.
V. Hard clipping silicon transistors combined with LED and Silicon soft clipping diodes. The rowdiest of the modes with tons of gain: compressed, loud, and angry.

Based loosely on the Buchla 100 series Gates, each channel boasts a discrete VCA with a rich overdrive sound, stereo panning, a tilt EQ and an easily accessible mute switch. Each channel can be used individually as a mono track or all four can be summed down to the stereo output. The four channels have an individual CV input, or they can all be controlled via the master CV input. The Tannhauser Gates also hosts the capability for a stereo send and return path, expanding your sonic arsenal to other processing modules.

Notes: Part of Xaoc's Leibniz binary system, the Rostock is a digital delay line capable of processing triggers, audio, CV and video signals. Another useful module from the unique Leibniz series.

Supplier's Notes:
Rostock is a component of the Leibniz Binary Subsystem. It is a data pipeline, a FIFO (first in - first out) shift register, or a very short digital delay. The module operates similarly to a BBD delay or an ASR (analogue shift register), except that it is digital. It consists of a chain of memory cells that pass bits from one to another at each clock cycle. The delay length is variable from 1 to 64 stages (with optional looping and scrambling). It works by processing data in the Leibniz bus and must be connected to other Leibniz modules using data ribbon cables at the back. Rostock may process data sequences representing rhythms, control voltages, audio-rate signals, and even video signals because the bits can change at extreme rates (up to 2MHz). In addition, its memory may be digitally looped. Delaying and looping is a fundamental building block for sequence automation, pattern and chaos generation, and various cybernetic modular patches. Thus, Rostock is a multi-purpose open-ended device that invites creative thinking.

SoundForce Chorus 6 Juno-Style BDD Chorus Module

Notes: The SoundForce Chorus 6 is 16HP Juno style BDD chorus with plenty of CV inputs. It is using the Xvive MN3009 and the same audio path as the original circuit. It can do the classic Juno I, II and I+II modes. I+II modes are available from both the Juno 6 and Juno 60, each in mono (as the original) or stereo, giving you 4 I+II options. But the manual and external modes can take the module away from sweet and pretty sound territories right into weird and noisy soundscapes.

Some tech-talk:

A chorus effect is created by mixing a dry signal with a delayed signal. The delay time is modulated by an LFO to create more movement. To create some stereo width, the left and right modulation are 180 degrees out of phase. Exactly like the chorus in the Juno 6/60/106, the delay is made with MN3009 BBD chips. Also as in the original design, filters are added both before and after the BBD chips in an attempt to hide some of the artefacts of this very crude IC.

To get the audio "moving" through the chain of MOSFETs in the BBDs, driver signals are needed. This used to be done with the MN3101 BBD driver chip. Unlike the MN3009, there is no clone available of this ancient IC and this was a chance to add some modernity to the design. The drivers were replaced by a modern STM32 micro-controller along some extra ICs to convert the 3.3V logic to the negative voltage needed by the MN3009.

In order to recreate a genuine Juno-type modulation, the BBD driver signals of my Juno-106 were sampled over a few periods. Using the timer peripherals of the STM32, a replica of the BBD driver signals can be sent out to the MN3009's. Although the driver signals only follow a very basic triangle LFO shape and could have been generated using direct synthesis in the firmware, this method gives an exact copy of the original driver signals including all the potential imperfections.

Implementing a digital programmable chip also allows a digital-style interface with tactile switches and LEDs as in the original Juno interface. The last used mode is saved and loaded when the module powers on. The CV inputs (with the exception of the MIX CV) are acquired by the STM32 ADC and can modulate the BBD driver signals based on parameters in the firmware.

Features:

The SoundForce Chorus 6 has 4 main modes: I, II, I+II, MAN for manual and EXT for external. I and II are the classic Juno modes available in the Juno 6/60/106. Press both I and II to enter the I+II mode. While holding down I and II, press the OFF button to cycle through the 4 I+II options:

- Juno 60 mono - 1hz - 8% depth
- Juno 60 stereo - 1hz - 8% depth
- Juno 6 mono - 8hz - 25% depth
- Juno 6 stereo - 8hz - 25% depth

In I, II and I+II, only the mix controls can influence the sound, all the other parameters are fixed and CV inputs are not active.

Mix control:

Using the slide pot (fader) or the CV input, the mix between the dry input signal and the BBD delays output can be set. The orignal Juno balance is reached when the slide pot is in the middle (without CV connected). The mix control is a VCA-based crossfader and is 100% analog which means it can withstand really high audio rate frequency modulation.

MAN mode:

The manual mode gives you the opportunity to control every parameter of the chorus and gives you acces to the LFO that modulates the BBD delay times. Here is what you can tweak:
- time slide pot: sets the start delay time
- rate slide pot and CV input : sets the frequency of the delay time modulation
- depth slide pot and CV input: sets the depth of modulation around the start time
- mix slide pot and CV input: see above
- LFO wave: selection of different waveforms to modulate the delay time
- range: selection of 3 different frequency ranges for the LFO (S: 30Hz to 500Hz | M: 1Hz to 100Hz | L: 0.016Hz/1min to 10Hz)

In manual mode, the EXT IN CV input can be used to change the LFO wave, range or add additional modulation of the delay start time.

EXT mode:

In external mode, the BBD delay times can be modulated using an external signal through the EXT IN cv input. Plug in a CV source from your eurorack case into the EXT IN, set manually the starting delay time using the time slider and use the EXT ATT slide pot to attenuated the incoming CV signal (equivalent to setting the depth). In external mode, the depth/rate sliders and CV inputs are not active.

Stereo inputs:

The Chorus 6 can be used with either mono or stereo input signals. When the right channel is unconnected, the left channel is sent to the right jack so it can be used with mono signals. When using both inputs, each input signal is going through its own BBD delay line.

BBD delay time range:

The Chorus 6 gives you in the MAN and EXT modes a delay range that it is about doubled compared to the I/II modes. The original Juno chorus was using only a very limited range of the BBD chip and really stayed in the sweet spot. Extending to the full spectrum of the MN3009 yields pretty horrible high pitch noise at audio rate modulation, so the range has been limited to a usable section. When you apply high frequency modulation with great amount of depth, the delay time will be pushed in the extremities of its time range and quite nasty artifacts will appear in the form of squeaks and whines. Please note this is a characteristic of the BBD. If you want to reduce those artifacts, reduce the depth of modulation. On the other hand, if you are looking to add characteristic and vibe to the sound, audio rate modulation and plenty of depth will help you to get there.

Input levels:

Both Eurorack and Line level signals can be used as input for the Chorus. A small slide switch between the 2 PCBs can switch between Euro and Line. In Euro levels, the input signal is attenuated to an healthy level that is well below the BBD distortion point. Some headroom is also needed as the chorus is a sum of the input signal and the modulated delayed signals. For that reason, when the chorus is turned off the output attenuation is about 50% of the input level. When the chorus is on, the resulting output amplitude is similar to the input level. Line levels are also accepted by the module when the switch is on Line. Please note that Line levels input will be amplified to the Eurorack levels range at the output of the module. So the output levels are Eurorack in both Euro or Line input ranges.

With Smart Chord activated, pressing a single key or pad will play a full chord rather than just one note. The key or pad you press will determine the root note in the chord. The rest of the chord's properties (Major, Minor, and Voicing - 1,3,5; 1,3,7; 1,3,5,7, etc.) are determined by the settings you choose. Smart Chord also has a Custom Mode which lets you to determine the chord structure that will be assigned to each key by manually playing it. For example, if you select Custom Mode, and play a 1-b3-5-b7 chord, every key will then be assigned to play this chord structure. The note of the key you press will serve as the root of the chord and all of the parameters can be edited right on the Oxygen Pro 61!

The Oxygen Pro 61 also features intelligent Smart Scale technology. With Smart Scale, you can set the key bed so that only notes in the selected scale are able to be played. This allows you to play within a chosen scale without the risk of playing any "wrong" notes. You can choose from 16 different scale variations when assigning a scale to the keyboard. Smart Scale is easy to activate and deactivate and allows you to set the scale parameters you need to keep you focused on creating.

Built into the Oxygen Pro 61 are features that are essential to creating modern day pop, electronic, hip hop, and dance music. Note Repeat and the built-in Arpeggiator open up a world of precise music production and live sound techniques to make your music sound professional.

Note Repeat allows you to hold down any of the custom-made M-Audio performance pads and you'll hear a repeated rhythmic pattern at a selectable note division. The Note Repeat feature can be activated momentarily or can be used in Latch mode. If you choose Momentary, holding the Note Repeat button will make the note played by the pad automatically repeat. If you choose Latch, pressing any pad will cause its assigned note to repeat without you having to hold down the Note Repeat button.

The built-in Arpeggiator will affect anything you are playing on the keys from any virtual instrument in your DAW. When the Arpeggiator is activated, the keyboard will repeatedly play the pressed keys in sequence. The arpeggiator's timing and rhythm is based on the keyboard's time division setting and either the keyboard's or your DAW's tempo setting. Each note in the arpeggio will be the length you've selected for the time division setting; for example, if you select 1/4, each note in the arpeggio will be a quarter note. This powerful tool can operate in Latch or Momentary mode, making it easy to unleash your creativity.

Flexi-Switchr Technology
This device features Flexi-Switchr Technology! This relay-based, true bypass switching style allows you to simultaneously use momentary and latching style switching.

For standard latching operation, tap the footswitch once to activate the effect and then tap again to bypass.

For momentary operation, hold the footswitch down for as long as you'd like to use the effect. Once you release the switch the effect will be bypassed.

Since the switching is relay based, it requires power to pass signal.

This device takes a standard 9 volt DC power supply with a 2.1mm negative center barrel. Pedal-specific, transformer-isolated wall-wart power supplies or multiple isolated-output supplies are generally recommended. Pedals will make extra noise if there is ripple or unclean power. Notes: Sometimes real precision is required with pitch control voltages - this module features a super accurate "Cal" output, which is accurate to <1mV over 20V, translates to one cent over 20 octaves! It is ideal for calibrating the scaling of VCO's, indeed we have been using our own version of this circuit to calibrate our own MiniMod VCO's for the last three years.

As well as being a precision voltage source it is also a very accurate voltage adder, it has two channels (A & B) and both full volts (octaves) or 1/12th volt increments (notes) can be either added to or subtracted from the incoming signal. Perfect for adding a voltage offset to the output of a sequencer or it can be used to add switchable octaves to a VCO which only has course and fine tunes controls.

It also has a "mix" output, which allows either A channel on its own, or with the three way toggle switch channel B can either be added to, or subtracted from channel B, and this is in addition to the addition and subtraction per channel mentioned earlier.

Representing the cutting edge in modular analogue voltage controlled filter (VCF) design, Filter 8 offers more possibilities and higher fidelity in 12 HP than ever before.

Starting from the classic OTA-style 4-pole cascaded lowpass (LP) topology, Filter 8 features separate LP outputs, each with their own character. Additional filter responses are achieved by pole mixing: 1-pole highpass, a special band boost and notch response, phase shifter and 4-pole bandpass. All outputs are available simultaneously.

Key to Filter 8's performance is the innovative resonant feedback circuit. By increasing the resonance, all outputs will resonate at the filter frequency, without any low frequency response loss. At higher resonance levels, self-oscillation is achieved, turning the module into an excellent 8-phase sine wave voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) with temperature and switchable gain compensation, low distortion, constant amplitude and accurate frequency tracking over at least 5 octaves. At sub-audio frequencies, Filter 8 can function as an 8-output voltage controlled slew modifier or 8-phase low frequency oscillator (LFO).

Simultaneous exponential and linear frequency modulation is possible, for classic FM tones or chaotic modulation. A hold feature is also provided, 'freezing' the output voltages manually or under gate control. This is useful for halting modulations, or as a sync-like effect at audio frequencies. The dedicated 'ping' input allows you to easily create crisp percussive sounds with different timbres.

While rooted in the legacy of classic synthesisers, Filter 8 provides a new approach to musical signal generators and modifiers: instead of simply a VCF, VCO, slew modifier or VCLFO, a single analogue module can now be any of those, and anything in between.

The Field Kit boasts 7 separate functional blocks all focussed on receiving or generating all types of signals. They are designed to operate together as a coherent electroacoustic workstation or alternatively together with other pieces of music electronics with the ability to use control voltage signals.

The Four Channel Mixer is the beating heart of the Field Kit, providing a fully functional mixer with individual Gain, Mix Level and Tone control over each channel and individual Master- and Aux sub-mixes.

The level of the Master and Aux Channels can be set with the Master Volume and Aux Volume controls and the channels being sent to the Aux sub-mix can be set with dedicated Aux Select-buttons. The Aux sub-mix is pre-fader.

The CV Radio is a CV-controllable radio receiver capable of receiving radio frequencies on AM/FM and SW bands. Additionally it provides the ability to catch electromagnetic waves for further processing inside the Field Kit. The frequency of the radio can be set with a dedicated multifunctional Search-control which acts both as a manual CV-source and as an input attenuator for a CV-signal.

The Envelope Follower in the Field Kit applies two functions to the waveform you send to the input: full-wave rectification (mirroring of negative portions of the waveform) and low-pass filtering (averaging). It can also be used for frequency doubling of a signal, which is a great tool to have in the electroacoustic domain.

The Low Frequency Oscillator generates periodically varying voltages to be used as control signals. The output waveform can be set with a three-position Waveform-control and gives out either a Square-, Triangle- or a mix of Square and Triangle waveforms.

A very cool function of the Field Kit is the DC Interface. You can use its output voltages to run little motors, fans, solenoids, buzzers and control them with control voltage signals. You can pick up the vibrations and electromagnetic waves with the contact microphones and electromagnetic pickup.

The Signal Interface is a nifty toolset to transform the raw signals of a wide variety of sensors and switches into signals that can be used with the Field Kit or other gear. This means you can trigger or control sound by light, heat, humidity, distance, speed, acceleration, proximity, pressure, force, level, all depending on what type of switch or sensor you are using! When the original iLoud Bluetooth speaker was released, it set a new standard for portable power and sonic accuracy. iLoud Micro Monitor is a natural evolution of that design, and just like its highly popular predecessor, it offers a completely new and unmatched portable sonic experience.

Its two speakers are powered by ultra-efficient class D power amplifiers that push a combined 50 W RMS of power. Each speaker sports a 3/4" silk dome tweeter, a 3" paper-cone performance woofer and a large-flaring front-firing bass reflex port. Thanks to these features, it's able to deliver pleasing high frequencies, an exceptionally "open" midrange and a solid and controlled low end. Simply put, iLoud Micro Monitor's sound is so good that it's nearly inconceivable for a speaker system of this size and at this price point.

Sonically Transparent Monitoring System:
iLoud Micro Monitor sounds amazing and real. But why? Well, a part of that is due to its internal 56-bit digital signal processor (DSP). This DSP is responsible for things like taking care of the frequency and phase response of the monitor as well as also controlling the dynamic range so that the drivers are always controlled. It also acts as a digital crossover that allows for invisibly smooth transitions between the drivers themselves.

Adjustable audio:
You're bound to come across all sorts of listening environments when you're on the go. Most speakers can't handle this kind of variety, but iLoud Micro Monitor can. Its internal DSP is controllable thanks to three dedicated EQ switches. You get switches for bass and treble as well as a "DESKTOP" compensation switch - this lets you switch between a "free field" and "desktop" setup effortlessly.

You can also position iLoud Micro Monitor at two angles of inclination, so you can optimize your listening experience to suit the characteristics of the room you're working in.

Get connected:
You can easily use iLoud Micro Monitor with all your favourite gear. Sending an audio signal to it couldn't be easier. It has inputs for both RCA and 1/8" connectors, and it can also be paired via Bluetooth to any Bluetooth-enabled device. Analogue waveform animator & dual channel device - black, 14HP
Notes: The WaveSwarm is a waveform animator and all analogue dual channel device.

Each channel simulates up to six VCO's beating in unison with a different beat frequency between each animation. The fixed beat frequencies are generated by twelve onboard LFO's, and the front panel pots control the level of each of the six animators, along with the level of the dry signal to the final mix. In addition to independent channel inputs and outputs it also has an A+B output, which sums the outputs of the two channels, creating an effect similar to twelve VCO's in unison! This is possible because channel B uses slightly different beat frequencies to channel A, they are not identical.

The input waveform can be saw, triangle, sine or wavetable/complex waveforms, in fact most waveforms with the exception of square or PWM waves will give some form of animation.

A soft clip circuit is built in so that at higher signal levels the signal magnitude is limited by rounding the top and bottom of the waveforms, thus slightly softening the sound. There are soft clip LED indicators for both channels.

It can produce huge, fat drones or supersaw type waveforms from a single sawtooth or triangle wave input.
