Intellijel Cascadia East & West Coast Analogue Semi-Modular Synthesiser
Cat: 940574 Rel: 15 May 23 • View all Synthesisers

A synthesist's synthesizer - a well-considered, finely-honed, stand-alone instrument capable of both nuance and bombast.
Notes: Based on Intellijel's extensive Eurorack experience, the Cascadia is a beautiful semi-modular synth which combines East and West coast principles, designed with live performance and real-time tweaking in mind.

Supplier's Notes:
A deep and flexible semi-modular mono synth, it was developed by a team of veteran synth aficionados to be the realization of their collective dream. It is a synthesist's synthesizer - a well-considered, finely-honed, stand-alone instrument capable of both nuance and bombast. You are never more than a slider away from turning sweet into raucous, or a patch cable removed from corrupting the virtuous into the wicked.

To distill Cascadia into a bullet-list of features does not do justice to the sonic possibilities that lurk just behind the panel. Instead, it's best to imagine the potential of two oscillators (one capable of operating at LFO rates; and one with full TZFM and sync capabilities) - each with multiple independent outputs working as both sound and modulation sources. Think about the possibilities of a fully-modulatable, self-oscillating, multimode filter with numerous modes simultaneously available, or the sonic advantages of having both wavefolding and ring modulation built-in. Envision having a pair of fully-configurable envelopes - one, a take on a classic ADSR with an assignable Hold stage; the other, a powerful multimode function generator, which becomes an Envelope, LFO or Burst generator with the flick of a switch. Picture using either MIDI or CV (or both) to drive your sound and modulation; or using the built-in trio of utility LFOs; an additional VCA/LPF/LPG; slew; sample & hold; multipliers, inverter; and mixuverters to refashion it. Ponder the sonic options of bringing in external audio and using it to either modulate or mix into Cascadia's architecture. Speaking of mixing, consider the fully-featured on-board mixer that blends not only all these internal and external sources, but also features multiple types of noise, a sub-oscillator, and soft clipping. And because we wanted Cascadia to be as flexible as possible, we decided not to hamper it with a limited selection of on-board effects but, instead, imbue it with the capability to fully integrate and control external effects devices - allowing you to incorporate your favorite pedals into your own personal playground of signature sounds, anywhere in the signal chain.

Cascadia is a semi-modular synthesizer, meaning that many of its capabilities reveal themselves to the musician without the need to insert a single patch cable. Cascadia's default signal path is well-conceived and deep. But for those willing to dive even deeper, a plethora of new sounds are possible when you start rerouting signals using the many available patch points. And to allow for the ultimate flexibility, these patch points conform to the Eurorack standard, meaning you can expand Cascadia's capabilities through the use of external modules.

Cascadia leverages Intellijel's long commitment to modular synthesis and coalesces it into a single package of sonic possibility. Whether used stand-alone or as part of a larger system, we at Intellijel believe this is the synth to bridge the past to the future; the novice to the pro; the desktop to the eurorack; and you to your musical goals.

A re-imagination of the legendary Synthi AKS synthesiser
Notes: Updated version of Erica's superb EMS-inspired synth, featuring a powerful dual oscillator synth architecture, piano roll sequencer, modulation matrix and recordable joystick.

Supplier's Notes:
Based on lessons learned from the SYNTRX, Erica Synths decided to create an instrument that would integrate even deeper into contemporary electronic and experimental music setups and cover sonic territory from daunting drones to powerful basslines and glitched noisescapes - the SYNTRX II is a new dark horse for experimental sonic rides.

The SYNTRX II is the culmination of Erica Synths' analogue sound design circuits - two perfectly stable main oscillators with waveshapers, a modulation oscillator with 1V/oct tracking, a versatile multimode filter, supercharged external instrument inputs with an envelope follower, a unique, great-sounding ring modulator, a recordable joystick, built-in piano roll sequencer and stepped modulation sources, all arranged around Erica Synths' signature matrix mixer and topped off with powerful FX on their new DSP platform.

"The SYNTRX 2 is awesome, a very different instrument from V1. My first synths were the VCS3 and the AKS and are still among my favorites today. The Syntrx 2 is pushing the boundaries of possibilities & experimentations much beyond the original analogue version. The Syntrx 2 is an instant classic". - Jean Michel Jarre

An analogue paraphonic modular synthesiser.
Notes: A beautifully realised instrument drawing on West coast and East coast synthesis concepts to create something new and beguiling. Three oscillators, smooth filter and Buchla-style dynamics controller.

Supplier's Notes:
Taiga Paraphonic Modular Synthesizer

Taiga is a complete, modern, modular instrument that allows us to explore beyond the boundaries of a traditional analog synthesizer. The sound of Taiga can be attributed to three uniquely Pittsburgh innovations. A trio of huge analog oscillators, the unmistakably smooth sound of the Pittsburgh Filter, and the warmth of the unique Dynamics Controller. These enable you to not only create sounds that would be traditionally expected from an analog synthesizer, but also to explore new sonic textures and performance possibilities.

Taiga oscillators

Waveforms generated by the three Taiga oscillators stretch beyond the basic geometric shapes and sounds associated with analog synthesis. Taiga waveforms pass through up to three proprietary, cascading waveshapers designed to precisely manipulate their symmetry and harmonic content. In addition, each oscillator includes a robust six-stage wave folder to add even more complexity and depth to the diverse sonic palate of Taiga.

The Pittsburgh Filter

The Pittsburgh filter has defined the sound of Pittsburgh Modular from the moment it was introduced. A signature gummy and relaxed sound with no dead spots that has been tweaked to perfection. It offers a warm, smooth sweep through the full frequency range and a sweet resonance that does not roll off the low end. This generation of the Pittsburgh filter is specifically designed to ensure a remarkable interplay with Taiga's oscillators.

Pittsburgh Dynamics Controller

Pittsburgh's new Dynamics technology imparts Taiga with a uniquely organic depth and presence. By simultaneously managing both amplitude and harmonic content, the Pittsburgh Dynamics Controller expands beyond the one-dimensional VCA found in other synthesizers. It does this by utilizing new advancements from traditional low pass gates to add additional definition and dimension to the voice of Taiga.

When used in low pass gate mode, sounds shed harmonic content and become warmer as they decrease in volume. This mimics how sound waves react to their environment. Because of this connection, the Taiga sounds more natural or complex compared to other instruments.

Analogue Echoes

Echos is a beautifully dark analog delay tuned to enhance the source material by repeating it over and over. Echos utilize a pair of bucket brigade delay chips to produce a classic voltage-controllable analog delay effect that helps to place the sounds of Taiga in a simulated environment.

Open Architecture

Taiga has an internally defined signal path. Patch cables are not necessary to begin exploring. Attach a midi keyboard and plug the output into a speaker or DAW and Taiga is ready to go with a robust but familiar workflow. When your ideas grow beyond the pre-defined signal path, a 60 point patch bay opens up a fully modular instrument with access to an even deeper set of features and tools.

Complete Set of Modular Tools

Taiga includes a host of fully modular, analog, and digital synthesis tools to support and enhance its core functionality. Analog tools include a flexible dual mixer, a pair of plucky four-stage envelope generators, noise, and sample and hold. Digital tools cover external MIDI, arpeggiator, clock sync'd modulation tools, and a robust collection of random generators. The Taiga toolset is deep enough for any type of sonic exploration.

Klavis Grainity Granular Digitally-Controlled Full-Analogue Path Granular & Multi-Mode VCF Module (silver)
Cat: 934965 Rel: 19 Dec 23 • View all Synth modules

Digitally-controlled full-analogue path granular & multi-mode VCF module in 10HP.
Notes: A unique analogue take on granular synthesis, inspired by Yannis Xenakis, the Grainity pairs a granular filter with a multimode filter to create new textures and harmonics.

Supplier's Notes:
The Grainity brings a unique and never-heard-before concept to the world of analogue VCF.

While being based on analogue filtering only, the Grainity expands and enriches the sound in creating subharmonics, harmonies, unison, flanging effects and formant filtering all at once.

The module presents two sections, the granular filter itself and a typical multimode filter, each with its own output.

A third output offers a mix of both filter paths. Numerous controls and CV allow a very wide palette of results.

What is the Grainity

Granular?

The word granular was chosen for this filter module in relation to the concept invented by the composer Yannis Xenakis, and which is described as assembling small chops of sounds - he called grains - according to a pattern.

This is exactly what the Grainity does, no more no less ... but, digital control allows doing it in ways that are decades away from what tape and scissors allowed at the time.

Technology wise ...

In the granular section, the incoming sound cycle is determined in order to step through various filtering and phase variations of itself according to predefined patterns called structures.

The controls allow alterations to the cycling phase, cycling frequency offset (tuning), structure selection and frequency division of the filters cycling. This comes in addition to the usual filter frequency and resonance controls.

What the Grainity is not

Technology wise ...

Despite relying on a microprocessor, the Grainity is not a digital audio processor. At any time, the sound remains in the analog domain and goes through analog circuits from in to out.
The digital processor does not convert or generate audio signals; it is there to control the analog circuitry and manage the interface and display.

Sound wise ...

Several digital modules offering granular processing rely on the layering of sound grains, which leads to blurry and cloudy textures.
Layering of the grains is a late addition to the concept of granular synthesis and is not a mandatory feature of the concept.
The Grainity does not use delay lines or sampling memory but is nevertheless true to the foundations of the granular synthesis concept.

The granular VCF in the Grainity is unconventional in that, most of times, it is not filtering the sound in the common expectation of removing something. Typically, the granular process adds more than it removes by expanding both the lower range, creating subharmonics, and the upper harmonic contents in multiples ways.

An eight channel converter that turns synth module and analogue CV signals into a voltage that drives LEDs and LED strips.
Notes: ILLUMINATOR is an eight channel converter that turns Eurorack and analog CV signals into a voltage that drives LEDs and LED strips, creating a unique light show in sync with your live performance. CV signals coming from your music gear are already pulsating with the different parts and sounds of your track, so there is no need for any kind of programming or light operator.

You can focus on playing your set and let ILLUMINATOR take care of the rest, creating a dynamic visual show that follows your tracks down to every note and beat!

No presets, no memory- just your music driving the lights. Create intense strobe-like effects by connecting rapid hi-hats from your analogue drums, or use slow external LFOs for a moody ambience during your ambient sessions.

ILLUMINATOR is compatible with standard 12V LED strips that are affordable and widely available. LED strips are flexible and typically come with adhesive on the back, so it's easy to attach them to any objects and surfaces, including irregular and unusual ones. It can be your Eurorack case, synth stands, walls of the venue, furniture and even your body! This way you can create a unique light show that would otherwise require an expensive (and unwieldy!) lighting setup. Everything you need for your ILLUMINATOR show easily fits into a small backpack for just a couple hundred euros.

ILLUMINATOR can also run an art installation, as LED strips are far from its only application. It can drive anything that accepts DC 12V with a current up to 0.5A. You can hook up anything from motors, electromagnets to old-fashioned filament bulbs. It's the perfect beating heart for your weird mechanical steampunk orchestra. Your imagination is the limit!

ILLUMINATOR accepts all types of CV signals in the range from 3 to 20 volts. Each of the eight channels contains an individual trimmer pot that defines the sensitivity of the channel. It not only adjusts the optimal input range for connected CV sources, but it can also set the brightness of each LED strip. Default factory setting for all trimmer pots is made for the range of 5V, compatible with most gear out of the box.

Applying bipolar CV is also possible but the negative part of the signal will not light up the LEDs (everything below zero will be processed as zero).

CV signals can be connected to ILLUMINATOR using Eurorack mini-jacks or PULSAR-23-like pins and alligator clips. PSU DC IN and all outputs are standard DC sockets 5.5×2.1mm center plus.

A very expressive sound tool that can generate bits, pads, FX, noises, clicks, glitches, but also function as a cool vocal mic with built-in analogue FX and much more!
Notes: Typically experimental stuff from Soma, the Enner is a five-voice synth with an array of filters, electro-acoustic noise options, analogue effects and huge creative potential.

Supplier's Notes:
ENNER is a very expressive sound tool that can generate bits, pads, FX, noises, clicks, glitches, but also function as a cool vocal mic with built-in analogue FX and much more! A musician with a rich imagination and who's experienced in playing ENNER can perform an entire exciting gig using just this synth.

As an instrument, ENNER is a unique analogue synthesizer with the key principle being that all signals that make sound pass through and are managed by your body. Your hands become the central part of the circuitry. Touching different contact pads with different parts of your fingers and palms with different amounts of pressure, letting signals pass through your body defines the mixing, volume, timbre, feedback and other parameters of synthesis. Human skin has much more complex electric properties than we think. The skin provides not just resistance but also some capacitive properties and even nonlinear dependence of conductivity from current, its direction and time during which the current was applied. All of this affects the sound, making you the key part of the synthesis process.

All pots of ENNER are metallic and also function as inputs or outputs. Touching a pot can change not only the parameters but also patch the audio signals.

ENNER consists of:

The array of filters with fixed frequency properties (the triangle in the centre): the stereo high pass filter (HPF), the stereo bandpass filter (high mid - BPFH), the stereo bandpass filter (low mid - BPFL), the stereo lowpass filter (LPF). Stereo means that the filters have separate inputs for left and right channels as well as separate outputs. Sliding on the filters' pads with your fingers you can create a rich stereo image where each channel may have not only individual volume properties but also timbral ones. The outputs of the filters are mixed together and connected to the main output. Also in the triangle, you have a stereo direct input (DIR) that lets you bypass the filters.

The modulated stereo delay. The input of the delay is the two pads on the top of the triangle (DLY blue). The output of the delay is mixed with filter output and connected to the main output. Also, you have delay output connected to the pads placed on the left and right sides from the top of the triangle (DLY orange) that lets you create feedback and other interesting effects. The delay has two separate lines (left and right) with individual TIME controls (BPEMR pots), common FEEDBACK and the common pot that defines the amount of self-modulation (BIZZARE). The BPEMR pots are also touch inputs for delay time modulation.

On the right side of ENNER, there is a five-voice synthesizer with individual adjustment of frequency for each voice (TUNE knobs) with the possibility to change the pitch of all voices simultaneously (PITCH knob). TUNE knobs are also the outputs of the voices, so by touching them you can patch the voices to the filter's inputs. The synthesizer has separate output pads for each voice (pads OUT 1-5), individual modulation inputs (MOD 1-5) and ring modulation outputs (the RING 12, 23, 34 numbers indicate which voices are sources for the ring modulation). Connecting MOD and OUT pads of one voice with your fingers will pitch it up. The fifth voice has an additional modulation pad MOD 5- which can shift the pitch of the fifth voice down (connect it to +12 pad or any pad that has some positive signal including the output of the fifth voice).

On the left side of ENNER, there is the second synth that has one master generator, the output of which is divided six times by two with individual outputs for each stage of division (PULSE 1-6). This synth is aimed at creating rhythmical clicks, basses and octave tones. The frequency of the master generator is defined by the TEMPO knob. The output pads &1,2,3 are logical multiplications of different PULSE outputs giving additional and more complex rhythm combinations.

ENNER is also an electro-acoustic noise instrument. It has a piezo pickup attached to the front panel that captures sound from the casing itself. There is metallic spring and you can attach rubber bands to the panel to create various acoustic sounds. The piezo mic can capture clicks and scratches you make with your fingers, and it also allows you to create filtered feedback. Not only that, it can even capture your voice singing over the panel! To get sound from the piezo you have to connect the PIEZO OUT pad with some filters or delay inputs. Applying filters and delay on the piezo out while the panel works as a mic, catching the audio signal from the speakers connected to the ENNER output lets you create very cool acoustic feedback-based effects. PIEZO GAIN adjusts the piezo sensitivity.

The bottom of the triangle (NOISE pad) is the output of static pink noise.

External in (EXT socket and EXT pad) lets you send an external audio signal to ENNER and process it through the array of filters, delay and other ENNER stuff.

All of these features make ENNER a simple yet powerful kit of sound sources and FX that give you a rich and diverse sound palette with many possible playing techniques that you can change very fast as there is no other control over the sound other than your touches.

Xaoc Devices Ostrawa 1966 Full Stereo Voltage Controlled Mixing Console Module
Cat: 945615 Rel: 30 Aug 23 • View all Synth modules

A full stereo four-channel voltage controlled mixer in 20HP.
Notes: Very nicely designed mixer module. Four-channel stereo design with CV control of balance and volume, aux sends and extensive chaining options, including the optional Bohumin expander module.

Supplier's Notes:
Ostrawa is a full stereo four-channel voltage controlled mixer featuring a stereo mixing bus, one stereo auxiliary send per channel (switchable between pre and post VCA) with stereo returns, clickless muting, individual level meters, and a super-clean and DC-coupled signal path designed with high-quality VCA and opamp chips.

Xaoc Devices have carefully crafted Ostrawa's voltage control response to achieve what we believe to be the optimal user experience found in a Eurorack mixer. The design features an elaborate control circuit that combines the internal voltages generated by the panel potentiometers with external CV over volume and stereo balance. The result is a natural attenuator response that constrains VCA gain to a usable range while minimizing distortion.

Ostrawa is a sister module to Xaoc devices Praga. It features a very similar response characteristics and similar layout of controls with some functional differences resulting from stereo inputs and limited panel space. Multiple Ostrawa and Praga units may be chained for a custom configurable mixing system. An expander called Bohumin is also available.

A drifting memory station designed to work with meditative states through music.
Notes: A typically unique take on multi-effects from Soma, designed to induce meditative states. Hybrid analogue-digital delay/reverb/granular processing gives a range of creative approaches.

Supplier's Notes:
COSMOS is a drifting memory station designed to work with meditative states through music. The design of the controls, functions and generated soundscapes are intended to evoke, in both performer and listener, states and experiences inherent in meditation, such as limitless space, fluidity, spontaneous development, presence, the ability to hear, tranquility, the experience of subtle harmony and happiness enveloping the whole world.

From a functional point of view, COSMOS is a large array of sound memory, in which recorded sounds undergo constant recombinations, spontaneously generating an ever-changing soundscape. This is achieved in three ways - by a mathematical shift based on the relationships between large prime numbers (the size of all delay lines are different primes), an asynchronous operation of the LFO, and modulation with a slowly changing chaotic signal. As a result, it allows the endless layering and processing of various sounds, as in a looper, but without an intrusive, repetitive loop.

COSMOS generates rich, fluid and evolving soundscapes perfect for ambient music. Using COSMOS, you can play an entire meditative solo concert while being in a spontaneous flow and without using studio-prepared sequences, backing tracks and other things that can't be a reflection of the "here and now".

In case of failure, it can be replaced with a high-quality modern switched-mode power supply with an output voltage of DC 12 volts, the center is plus and an output current of at least 0.5 amperes (more is fine). The power supply must have a wide AC input voltage range of 100-240 volts. Such power supplies have excellent output voltage stabilization required for the device. It is forbidden to use COSMOS with nonstabilized voltage from transformer power supplies. It can lead to damage to the device, which is not covered by the warranty repair!

Eowave Tempete Magnetique Quad Complex Multimode Filter Module
Eowave Tempete Magnetique Quad Complex Multimode Filter Module (dual/stereo/envelope follower/filter/oscillator/waveshaper/quad module)
Cat: 947125 Rel: 15 Jun 23 • View all Synth modules

Quad complex multimode filter module - 22HP
Notes: The successor to Eowave's Fluctuations Magnetiques module is an even more advanced quad analogue filter, designed for cross modulation, complex routing and self-oscillating fun.

Supplier's Notes:
The Tempete Magnetique is a fully analogue complex filter/synthesizer module.

It was that was created as an evolution of the "Fluctuations magnetiques".

More than a mk2, Eowave designed it to push you to play with one of the most interesting things in modular synthesis: to divert the primary usage of a module to create unexpected and new sounds (aka this is not only 4 filters)

Tempete Magnetique is deeply inspired by the classical filters design as well as West Coast synthesis complex oscillators.

At it's core, has 4 multi-mode 12db filters that can be chosen to be routed in series or parallel, which can be used independently or combined and even cross-modulated, controlled by CV or with an integrated envelope follower (which can be used as a dynamic responsive envelope) and even pinged.

The Tempete Magnetique was designed to have several levels of use. The individual level with the use of separate filters, perfect for quadraphonic processing of different sources (A B C D).

The pair sections which allows for more complex stereo effects or to generate synthesis voices (X, Y) and finally, the global level with a cross-modulation of filters.

The independent outputs have been designed to be fed back into their input, turning them into oscillators (not really precise one, but you can make synth voice kind of V/Oct tuned with their very own sound, due to the fully analogical design, these oscillators may have strange behaviours sometimes, but this instability will bring you the warmth of analogue gears).

The pairs sections, of course, can filter an incoming signal, but can be transformed to full synthesis voice, percussion engine (exited by the ping input and modulated with the envelope follower) and way more.

This filter allows for anything from gentle, subtle filtering to a storm where the undulations of your sound and their intensity create new types of textures.

Main features:

Four independents or linkable multi-modes 12 db filter
Envelope follower who can act as end decay envelope sensible to the velocity
Cross modulation engine who modulate both pair of filters
Ping input
Outputs with phase correction to be fed to inputs

Some applications:

Filtering (obviously), can be used for quadraphonic or stereo filtering
Weird synth voice
Waveshaper
LFOs/oscillators generator
Crossover
External rhythm following - auto filtering
Drum generator

Audio sampler and sequencer.
Notes: Combining vintage sound with modern features, the S2400 draws heavily on the iconic Emu SP1200 to create a new instrument with a distinctive character. One of the best samplers money can buy.

Supplier's Notes:
A legend, reborn.

The S2400 is nothing short of a passion project. Along with a small team of talented Software Engineers, CAD Engineers and revered artists, Isla Instruments have developed a future classic.

The S2400 is a passion project - to recreate the sound of one of the world's most iconic sampling drum machines, and bring it up-to-date with modern features. The result is the very best of old school and new school technology coming together.

Brad has been obsessed with drum machines for many years - owning, repairing, restoring, modifying countless makes and models (see his HR-16 mods on YouTube).

Staying true to form in both sonic characteristics and design aesthetic were the main drivers in the realisation of this project, while bringing the hardware into the 21st Century and keeping the same 'instant gratification' and intuitiveness of its spiritual pre-predecessor at heart.

A machine built for the now and the future.

BOSS SL-2 Slicer Effects Pedal BOSS SL-2 Slicer Effects Pedal BOSS SL-2 Slicer Effects Pedal
BOSS SL-2 Slicer Effects Pedal (modulation effects pedal)
Cat: 996671 Rel: 16 Feb 24 • View all Effects pedals

Slicer effects pedal
Notes: Fresh-Sliced Inspiration

Envelop your music in vibrant rhythmic energy with the SL-2 Slicer, an inspiring creative tool filled with colourful sonic grooves. This BOSS original chops your sound into unique percussive patterns-including many processed with internal filters and effects-and provides multiple output options that bring grooves to life across the stereo field.

Evolved from the legacy SL-20 Slicer, the SL-2 offers expanded capabilities while shrinking the size to the pedalboard-friendly BOSS compact format. Instantly elevate performances with 88 onboard patterns and tap into more via the BOSS Tone Studio app. Grab the knobs to tweak audio slices on the fly and sync to songs with tap tempo and MIDI. Fun and easy to use, the SL-2 brings fresh musical power to all types of creators, from guitarists and keyboardists to loop performers, DJs, beatmakers, and beyond.

Compact Audio Adrenaline

The SL-2 brings massive sonic groove muscle to the compact pedal format. Modern DSP takes the BOSS Slicer engine further than ever before, delivering rich, animated sounds via single and dual paths chained with multiple internal effects. Eight pattern types-each with 11 variations-will keep you armed with creative firepower for a long time. When you're ready for more, connect to BOSS Tone Studio over USB to audition and load alternate patterns into the pedal and organize memory setups for different songs.

Pre-Loaded Pattern Types:

Single (1 and 2)-Rhythmic patterns that use a single Slicer effect.
Dual (3 and 4)-Rhythmic patterns that use two Slicer effects.
Tremolo (5)-Patterns with a traditional tremolo effect.
Harmonic (6)-Rhythmic patterns with pitch-shifting effects.
SFX (7 and 8)-Rhythmic patterns with different effects applied.

Shape Your Groove

With the SL-2's efficient interface, you can dial in sophisticated textures in seconds. Use the Attack control to shape the edge of the waveform for everything from hard-chopped slices to soft, fluttering movements. Then tweak the waveform's length with the Duty control, going from sharp, percussive transients to longer, fuller audio blocks. Adjust the tempo with the dedicated knob or hold the pedal switch to engage tap tempo mode for hands-free control. And with the Balance knob and +/-12 dB of output level adjustment, you always have complete control of the mix.

Set the Stage

The SL-2 dishes up loads of impressive sounds with a standard mono setup. But things get even better when using the two outputs and seven different output modes. Send direct and effect sounds to different destinations for recording and performance. Or surround yourself and listeners in animated movement using a variety of stereo and 3D processing options. You can also feed the SL-2 with your favourite stereo pedals to bring further magic to your grooves.

Stereo Output Modes:

Fixed (Default)-Sends the same direct/effect mix to both outputs.
EFX/Direct-Sends the effect sound to Output A and the direct sound to Output B.
Random-A stereo effect that randomly outputs the Slicer sound to the left, right, or center.
Ping-Pong-A stereo effect that alternately sends the Slicer sound to Output A or Output B.
Auto-A stereo effect that smoothly pans the Slicer sound between Output A and Output B.
3D Cross-Advanced spatial processing moves the Slicer sound in left/right and forward/back patterns in 3D space.
3D Rotation-Advanced spatial processing rotates the Slicer sound in 3D space.

Expand Your Creative Flow

With its generous external control options, the SL-2 flows with your creative needs. Plug in an external footswitch to instantly tap in the tempo or engage the effect with momentary presses. Or connect an expression pedal to control knob parameters or the overall level as you perform. With the TRS MIDI input, you can sync your SL-2 grooves to a drum machine, DAW, or any other device that sends MIDI clock. It's also possible to control expression, tempo, and bypass functions via MIDI CC messages.

New Systems Instruments Quad LFO Modulation Source Module (clock generator/LFO/quad synth module)
Cat: 929788 Rel: 20 Mar 23 • View all Synth modules

Four independent, analogue LFO module s in 8HP.
Notes: Four independent, analogue LFOs in 8hp. Linear voltage control over frequency. Sine or square waveforms.

The Quad LFO gives you four independent high quality temperature stable modulation sources. While audio rate analogue oscillators famously sound more alive, the living quality of analogue modulators is often overlooked. The Quad LFO has a totally analogue sine core, for living, low distortion, accurate, and consistent sine wave outputs. However, if you need a square wave for a clock, to drive a logic input, or for another purpose, you can set one or more LFOs to a square with a jumper on the back.

The Quad LFO provides linear voltage control over frequency, matching our perception of sub-audio rate frequencies. Each oscillator ranges from nearly stopped to around 23 Hz. It is designed for knob twiddling, with accurate potentiometers, aluminium knobs, and 1Hz easily reachable in the centre.

An analogue voiced digital delay effects pedal.
Notes: Limited-edition reissue of EarthQuaker's excellent Disaster Transport, lightly updated for 2023. Modulated delay now with reduced noise floor, analogue-style filtering and switchable modulation modes.

Supplier's Notes:
Disaster Transport

Legacy Reissue

The Original Delay Modulation Machine

Limited to 3,500 units worldwide. Behold! The newest incarnation of one of Earthquaker Devices' most beloved pedals ever, the Disaster Transport. For those of you well versed in the pedal's celebrated history, you might notice some differences on this beautifully sparkly box. A new Mod Mode switch allows you to bend or stretch the modulation wave. The new Mod Speed switch offers three rates of modulation, from bizarrely animated gradual climbs and steep drop offs to rapid chorus and intense vibrato.

The delay line has been redesigned to reduce the noise floor and improve the quality of the delay. Plus, it's now filtered to sound more like an analogue delay than any of the previous versions. With knobs to control the Speed, Intensity, Mix, Repeats, and Time; this analogue-voiced digital delay sits perfectly in the background with an evolved ambiance, but can also be dialled in for the dramatic effect of your choosing.

EQD initially set out to recreate the original Disaster Transport pedal in its earliest form, but the OG of EQD, Jamie Stillman, couldn't resist tinkering and improving the whole thing, so you just got upgraded, my friend. In doing so, EQD redesigned the delay line to reduce the noise floor and improve the quality of the delay. The output was boosted with a cleaner mixing section; it's now filtered to sound more like an analogue delay than any of the previous versions.

EQD added a Mod Mode switch that allows you to choose between bending and stretching the modulation wave. The Bend setting offers a subtler vibe closer to a traditional chorus sound, while the new Stretch option gives you loads of pitch-stretching modulation to run wild with.

The other difference you probably spotted with your eagle eye is the Mod Speed three-position toggle switch. The Slow setting is excruciatingly slow and can produce bizarrely animated gradual climbs and steep drop offs. The Fast setting can go from a rapid chorus to an intense vibrato, while the Medium setting is the most traditional rate similar to the classic Memory Man circuit with a nice range to it.

The newly designed enclosure features knobs to control the Speed, Intensity, Mix, Repeats, and Time, with Modulate and Activate switches, making this a highly customizable pedal to get the delay sound of your dreams. Thanks to the ramp modulation circuitry, you can turn the delay time down and start to use feedback and modulation at a higher setting to harness a bizarre modulator and achieve subtle to wild chorus-type effects. Or set your delay time how you want to set it and use your modulation rates to set your tempo, so you can strum or pluck to the climbs and drop offs to match your riffs. The possibilities are endless.

Controls

1. Speed: Controls the speed of the modulation. The Speed operates in three ranges (Slow/Fast/Medium) selected by the Mod Speed toggle switch. The Disaster Transport uses a Ramp wave for the modulation. You'll find this to be much more intense than most modulated delays. Think of it as a traditional Triangle wave that falls off a cliff in mid-cycle, creating a drastic pitch bend in its wake. Or don't and just think about whatever you want.

2. Intensity: Controls how much the LFO modulates the delay time. More subtle chorus type effects are achieved with less intensity and more intensity will yield wild pitch stretching and bending. The overall modulation style can be made more or less subtle by using the Mod Mode toggle switch to select Bend or Stretch.

3. Mix: Sets the volume level for the delay signal. Hear more of what you just played 30-600ms ago by turning this up.

4. Repeats: Controls the intensity of delay feedback from no repeats at zero to self-oscillation at max. Let the past pile up on you until it implodes.

5. Time: Sets the delay time from around 30ms at zero to 600ms at max. Everyone needs more time; you are offered about 600ms worth.

6. Mod Speed: Three position toggle switch that sets the range in which the Speed operates.

7. Mod Mode: Two position toggle switch to choose the modulation style. Bend is more of a traditional chorus type modulation and Stretch is a wilder pitch stretching modulation.

8. Modulate: This foot-operated switch features Flexi-Switchr Technology and turns the modulation on and off.

9. Activate: This foot-operated switch features Flexi-Switchr Technology and turns the effect on and off.

Tech Specs

Dimensions: 3.65 x 4.65 x 2.25 in. (93 x 118 x 57 mm) with knobs
Current Draw: 35 mA
Input Impedance: 1 MO
Output Impedance: 1 kO

Flexi-Switch Technology

This device features Flexi-Switchr Technology! This relay-based, true bypass switching style allows you to simultaneously use momentary and latching style switching.

For standard latching operation, tap the footswitch once to activate the effect and then tap again to bypass.

For momentary operation, hold the footswitch down for as long as you'd like to use the effect. Once you release the switch the effect will be bypassed.

Since the switching is relay based, it requires power to pass signal.

Power

This device takes a standard 9 volt DC power supply with a 2.1mm negative centre barrel. Pedal-specific, transformer-isolated wall-wart power supplies, or multiple isolated-output supplies, are always recommended. Pedals will make extra noise if there is ripple or unclean power. Switching-type power supplies, daisy chains and non-pedal specific power supplies do not filter dirty power as well and let through unwanted noise.

*** Do not run at higher voltages! ***

Waldorf M 16-Voice Polyphonic & 4-Part Multitimbral Wavetable Desktop Synthesiser Waldorf M 16-Voice Polyphonic & 4-Part Multitimbral Wavetable Desktop Synthesiser Waldorf M 16-Voice Polyphonic & 4-Part Multitimbral Wavetable Desktop Synthesiser
Cat: 962645 Rel: 16 Aug 23 • View all Synthesisers

16-voice polyphonic & 4-part multitimbral wavetable desktop synthesiser.
Notes: Waldorf draw on their proud history with a new wavetable synth building on the classic Microwave 1 and modern Microwave II / XT. Serious synth power from this eight-voice monster.

Supplier's Notes:
M's musical heart is an eight-voice polyphonic, (16 voices for the M16) four-part multitimbral WAVETABLE SYNTHESIZER - as boldly blazoned in red across its full-metal blue- coloured casing, itself hinting at its illustrious Microwave heritage - are two wavetable oscillators with independent wavetable-generating Classic Microwave 1 and Modern Microwave II/XT modes, meaning that the wavetable oscillators behave differently in both of those modes (accessible by pressing the Mode button beside the helpful high-resolution graphic display with four endless encoders for yet more hands-on control).

With M, Waldorf are musically returning to their roots by bringing back classic Microwave and 'modern' Microwave II tone generation as a new-generation classic hybrid wavetable synthesizer with an analogue lowpass 24 dB/Oct VCF - SSI 2144 Improved Ladder Type - with resonance and analogue saturation feature, true stereo analogue VCA with panning option, and much more to explore in a desktop-friendly form factor featuring a wide range of unique sounds. M has a total of 16 banks with 128 memory slots each. The included sound presets - 1024 in total (divided into 8 banks of 128 sounds) - professionally programmed by world- renowned sound designers also include all of the classic Microwave sound sets, such as MW1 Factory Sound Set, MW1 Soundpool 1-5, the fat-sounding Analogue and Bassco, as well as PPG Wave 2.3 sounds cleverly converted for the original Microwave. Moreover, it also features freshly-programmed sounds utilising M's myriad new features - from true hard Sync (when working in its Modern Microwave II/XT mode) to the ARP (arpeggiator) and MIDI-syncable global LFO (Low Frequency Oscillator).

But beating at M's musical heart as an eight-voice polyphonic, four-part multitimbral WAVETABLE SYNTHESIZER - as boldly blazoned in red across its full-metal blue- coloured casing, itself hinting at its illustrious Microwave heritage - are two wavetable oscillators with independent wavetable-generating Classic Microwave 1 and Modern Microwave II/XT modes, meaning that the wavetable oscillators behave differently in both of those modes (accessible by pressing the Mode button beside the helpful high-resolution graphic display with four endless encoders for yet more hands-on control). Consequently, there is no hard Sync or ring modulation available in the Classic Microwave I mode, where 16-bit wavetables are bit-reduced to 8-bit and a 240 kHz non-anti-aliased sample rate is offered, whereas the Modern Microwave II/XT mode offers a 40 kHz sample rate with band-limited wavetables, although both oscillators - OSC 1 and OSC 2 - offer the same panel parameters.

Two LFOs are generating a periodic waveform with adjustable frequency Rate and Shape that can be used for modulation purposes, are also always at hand. However, unlike other Waldorf synthesizers, there is no classic modulation matrix in M. Making a conscious design decision to set up M's modulation facilities directly on the corresponding display page, to paying tribute to the 1989-vintage Microwave.

Back in the here and now, M takes performance to a whole new level, thanks to that advanced ARP with 16 preset patterns, chord mode, and an ability to synchronise to MIDI clock. Furthermore, four programmable ENVELOPES allow adventurous users to manipulate sound parameters via rate or timed modulations.

Musically making a connection to the outside world is important to any synthesizer, so M offers five (rear panel-positioned) stereo analogue outputs - arranged as MAIN OUT (L/Mono and R) and AUX OUT (A, B, C, and D), the latter of which can be used to route each of the four Multi (multitimbral) parts to different outputs, if desired; a stereo headphone output (with an associated Volume knob in addition to the topside Master Volume knob); 5-pin MIDI IN, OUT, and THRU DIN connectors, complimented by a USB 2.0 MIDI port (for computer connection to transmit and receive MIDI data); an SD Card slot (for updating M's firmware, importing/saving sound patches, and importing/saving M-specific data, such as user wavetables); and - last but not least - a Kensingtonr compatible security lock slot.

Intellijel Stomp Effects Pedal Send/Return Module With Expression Control & LFO (B-STOCK)
Cat: 978527 Rel: 01 Jan 90 • View all Synth modules

B-STOCK: Box opened, but product is in excellent condition and in perfect working order
Notes: ***B-STOCK: Box opened, but product is in excellent condition and in perfect working order***

Eurorack is a synthesist's toy chest. Stompboxes are a guitarist's toy chest. Each industry offers a seemingly infinite variety of products that enable musicians to build systems unique to their needs and to create a signature sound. Each is also somewhat addictive. Rare is the musician who doesn't eventually need a larger toy chest to house the accumulated toys.

Fortunately for the budget-conscious musician, Eurorack modules and stompboxes have always existed in separate worlds - someone whose Eurorack system consumes an entire wall in their home is usually not the same person whose pedalboard now requires a dedicated roadie just to transport it to the gig.

Intellijel's Stomp removes the barrier between Eurorack and stompbox. It provides the modular synthesist with a portal to stompbox nirvana, and the guitarist with a wormhole to the sonic manipulations of Eurorack modules.

Stomp enables the modular synthesist to interact with the impressive assortment of delays, choruses, flangers, phasers, fuzz boxes, tremolos, wah-wahs, amp simulators, compressors, and pitch shifter pedals available to guitarists. If your effects pedal is adorned with an expression pedal input, Stomp supports that too, and even features a built-in LFO to modulate your pedal's expression input. Need something crazier? No problem. Simply patch any modulation source from your modular system into the expression control jack to override the built-in LFO.

Conversely, guitarists can plug their guitar directly into Stomp's RETURN jack, giving them access to the myriad filters, ring mods, wavefolders and - most importantly - the near-infinite CV modulation delights inherent in Eurorack.

Features:

Robust Neutrik 1/4" TS connectors for the SEND/RETURN and TRS for the Expression interface
Signals arriving at Stomp's RETURN jack pass through a Class A triode emulator, allowing for some tube-like overdrive at high gain setting.
Stomp is more than just a simple level shifter - it's also an impedance converter, which provides proper drive and loading for any FX pedals or instruments you connect.
Separate gain controls on both the SEND and RETURN. This enables you to adjust the level of any audio being sent to the FX pedals as well as any audio coming back into the modular. Not only does this allow you to optimize the signal-to-noise ratio, but by significantly boosting the RETURN level, you can achieve some pleasingly overdriven tones.
Supports both Instrument and Line levels via a front panel switch.
Use Stomp's RETURN circuit as a "direct box" for connecting any instrument.
The high input impedance of the RETURN circuit allows it to be used as a piezo pickup preamp for acoustic instruments.
Use Stomp in the studio as an active "re-amping" device to play pre-recorded tracks back through guitar amplifiers or pedals.
All inputs are protected for minimum RF interference.
Return signal can be phase inverted for use with those pedals or effects types that invert phase.
Low MIX output impedance for driving long cables, lower noise, and minimum interference from outside sources.
The Expression Pedal Output converts analogue CV sources (or the internal LFO) into an output compatible with most stompbox Expression inputs.

The 'Quaid Megaslope' is a five stage function generator or modulator which operates in one of 3 modes; a multistage 'CZ' or 'Juno' style complex envelope, a super flexible LFO and a step sequencer with per step programmable slew or slides.

Each mode produces a varying output voltage moving from point to point across a set number of chained together stages. Each stage features a destination level, an overall rate or time to reach its destination level and a variable slope for the output path to take. As well as direct control, every stage feature voltage control of both level and rate. There are both unipolar and bipolar voltage outputs together with triggers emitted for the end of each stage and the end of a full cycle.

The Quaid Megaslope is designed to be fun, flexible and intuitive to use.

Presonus R80 AMT 2-Way 8" Active Studio Monitor (single) (B-STOCK) Presonus R80 AMT 2-Way 8" Active Studio Monitor (single) (B-STOCK)

This monitor comes with free Studio One Prime and Studio Magic plug-ins.

Superior transient response:
In order to dampen resonance peaks at higher frequencies, conventional dome tweeters are injected with fluid to raise their mass, sacrificing transient response time. By contrast, the custom-designed AMT tweeter in the R80 uses an incredibly thin, folded Kapton membrane (< 0.01 mm) with an inlayed aluminum circuit functioning as the voice coil, allowing the tweeter to move at the same instant as the electric current. The resulting reactive response time provides marked clarity and superior transient reproduction.

Wide, consistent stereo image:
An unfolded AMT tweeter diaphragm provides 8 to 13 times the projection area of a traditional 1-inch dome tweeter, enabling R80 monitors to provide a much wider stereo soundstage than traditional designs. At the same time, the R80 provides a very limited vertical dispersion, which helps to reduce reflections from the ceiling and desktop that can cause phase coherence issues. Because it's less subject to room-anomaly interference, the R80 reacts predictably and sounds consistent from room to room.

Transparent sound:
The R80 utilizes an 8-inch, custom-coated, woven Kevlar low-frequency driver. This rigid cone maintains a more consistent dispersion pattern across its frequency response range. Biamped and driven by a 150W Class D amplifierimaking the R series some of the most powerful monitors in their categoryithese monitors deliver an open, clear, and less fatiguing listening experience.

Have it your way:
You can customize the R80 in several ways. It's available with black or blue faceplates to fit your studio decor. With balanced XLR, balanced 1/4" TRS, and unbalanced RCA line-level inputs, it's easy to feed audio to your R80 monitors from a mixer, an interface, a media player, or almost any other line-level source. And R series monitors offer user-adjustable contour features for optimizing the monitors for your mixing space. This enables full integration into any studio environment.

Accuracy defined:
The R80's AMT monitor design provides lifelike sonic reproduction that will allow you to hear the room in your recordings. Its transparent sound and responsive transient reproduction makes it an ideal solution for anyone who is mixing high-resolution audio. Hear the R80 at your favorite PreSonus dealer.

Case designed for the Roland SH-4D
Notes: Transport bag for Roland SH-4D

This carrying case from Analog Cases is specially designed for the Roland SH-4D synthesizer.

In contrast to conventional nylon bags, the cases of the PULSE line are made of sturdy EVA (a moulded polymer that has so far only been used for high-quality housings in consumer electronics). It retains its shape and provides excellent protection. The sturdy carrying strap and low weight make the PULSE Case the ideal companion for a variety of common mini controller keyboards, smaller electronic musical instruments or audio interfaces. Inside, the separate nylon mesh pocket brings order to the cable chaos.

Analog Cases stands for practical and stylish design. The robust and lightweight bags are designed for modern music creators whose equipment is as mobile as their lifestyle. About its name, the manufacturer says:

"The name Analog Cases reflects our design philosophy: Bags should be simple, cool and stylish. For us, analogue is more than just a kind of sound - it's a way of life. Analogue means timeless, creative and beautiful. That's what motivates us to make music, and it's what motivates us to create cases."
