Notes: The Exhaust adds many features to your Engine V2 VCO module like Sub-octaves, Mixing and a Gate / Trigger generated by the Chaos signal.
You can select one of the two VCO cores of the engine to Produce Square Waves one and two octaves below the Oscillators frequency. You can blend between -1 and -2 octaves and Set the volume they are Mixed into the Main "Mix" output.
The knobs "VCO1" "VCO2" and "AM" set the level of the selected waveform of each VCO and the AM output from the Engine to the Main Mix. The "Ext In" Input is normalled from the RM output, but you can plug in any other signal to go to the Main Mix.

Notes: This is a self contained analogue high hat module. This is a Transistor based VCA design. It is influenced by the DR110 drum machine. The original circuit used 4 oscillators to make the metallic audio sound. I added the original 4 oscillator, and an extra 6 oscillator circuit. The 6 oscillator version is doing a double XOR ringmod (internally). You select that by switch.
The 4 oscillator design sounds more crunchy, where as the 6 XOR circuit sounds more polished with sheen. You can blend in the amount of white noise in the mix labeled 'sizzle'.
Internally, the audio is passing through a few high pass filters, making the output sound very high in frequencies.
The module by itself is not exciting. But in the mix, with other percussion modules, this is your favorite-go-to module. It sits almost perfect in the mix.
There are two triggers. One is for 'Open' sound. The other is for 'close' sound. Both open and close have there own decay knob to adjust the length of the audio tail.
There is a tone control, labeled LPF. Use this to taper off some of the high frequencies.
Instead of adding an 'accent' control. Both triggers have been made to voltage variable. 5V triggering is the normal expected input. So a 3V trigger will sound softer in volume. 10V trigger signals will sound louder.
This module is as simple as it gets, just patch your Arturia Beat Step Pro and use the drum track.

USB Host to MIDI converter for ‘Class Compliant’ USB MIDI Devices
Notes: Your USB device is plugged into the MIDI USB Host mk3 instead of into a computer. It provides MIDI In & Out sockets for USB MIDI keyboards and controllers which have only a USB B type socket. For example, used with a USB-Solo, it allows the USB-Solo to be used in a standard MIDI setup, just like a Pro-Solo. It has a USB Host port (USB A type socket), a MIDI In and a MIDI Out (both 5 pin DIN).
The MIDI USB Host mk3 now has additional features. In addition to the standard operating mode, there are now two further modes.
Standard mode (LED Green):
MIDI data received at the MIDI In socket is sent to the USB device and MID data from the USB device is sent to the MIDI Out socket.
Merge 1 mode (LED Amber):
MIDI IN does not go to USB device but instead is merged with MIDI data coming from the USB device which is then sent to the MIDI Out socket.
Merge 2 mode (LED Red):

Connecting
You can connect one "Class Compliant" USB device directly into the MIDI USB Host. If your host has the latest firmware already installed then you can plug in a powered USB hub and up to four USB devices can then be connected. Earlier MIDI USB Host mkIIs can be updated with a free download which is available from the support section of our website. Serial numbers N6-2421 already have the hub compatible firmware. Serial numbers N3-0541and upward can be updated.
It is recommended that you attach your USB device to the MIDI USB Host before applying power. Then plug-in and power the power adaptor. The active LED should be lit up. If you apply power with nothing plugged into the MIDI USB Host, the Active LED will flash steadily; this is to indicate that it is waiting for a suitable device to be attached. If it is still flashing when you have attached your device, then it is possible that your device is not class compliant, however you could try turning off the power and start again.
Some USB MIDI devices have two modes of operation and can be set to operate in Class Compliant mode even if this is not the default. The Class Compliant mode might be called "generic driver", the other mode may be called something like "advanced driver". Consult the device manual to see if the mode can be set for Class Compliant.
If you unplug then re-plug the USB cable while it is powered the device might reconnect, but it is not certain.
Power
It is essential to use only the supplied 5V regulated power adaptor. Applying a voltage higher than 5V to the MIDI USB Host will probably not damage the MIDI USB Host itself, but it could damage any attached USB device as the 5V is passed on to the attached USB device for buss power. There is protection circuitry inside the MIDI USB Host to protect against reverse polarity and over-voltage, but these should be treated as a last resort and are not guaranteed to prevent damage to an attached USB device in the event of over-voltage as the USB buss voltage could rise to 6.5V before being clamped.
Care should be taken to ensure that power adaptors for other pieces of equipment are not accidentally plugged into the MIDI USB Host.
If the input voltage rises above 6.5 volts then power will be shut off. The LED will go out and the unit will not operate again until power has been removed for at least 60 seconds. This allows time for the thermal fuse to reset.

It captures the radio waves as is from hertz to gigahertz because it doesn't contain the tuned input circuit that filters out all frequencies except the narrow band of a specific station. This allows ETHER to perceive the invisible electromagnetic landscape that humans created unintentionally, making possible live electromagnetic field listening and recording.
The design was inspired by the design for the very first radios (early 1900s) that had no tuning wheel. At this time there weren't many radio stations, and all of them used Morse code. It was possible to distinguish each transmitter by ear, as each one had its own specific timbre or voice.
ETHER is pocket-sized (103x58x17mm) and light-weight (73g with batteries). It consumes very little power and runs on two AAA batteries. How long it can run on two batteries is unclear,- but the battery life is more than 300 hours if you using alkaline or lithium batteries.
ETHER was intended to be a unique accessory for the conscious modern human. Special designed enclosures made in Europe were used, as well as high-quality PCB and furniture providing long life and high reliability. ETHER has both magnetic and electric components for sensing radiation. For the magnetic component, it has a built-in magnetic antenna, like the ones used in old long-wave radios. For the electric component, it has antennas printed on the PCB and the special input pins placed on the anterior surface.
ETHER V2 has two external antenna pins. You can touch any conductive material or surface (including your body) with the pins and use objects or yourself as a big external antenna! Two pins are connected to different points of the circuit and interact differently with electromagnetic waves. Switching from one to another or using them both, you can change the sound. Far away from a city, we recommend trying to use a piece of wire 1-4 meters long connected to one of the pins for getting some interesting sound.

In comparison, ETHER has a regenerative circuit and a demodulator, making it an actual radio wave receiver, not just an amplifier of low-frequency magnetic fields. However, ETHER can perceive the low-frequency magnetic fields as well. But, honestly, if your goal is to scan objects in close proximity (0-20 centimeters), a simple inductive sniffer will work cleaner and more focused due to its narrow band and lower sensitivity. ETHER was designed to be a part of your walks in the city and may even pick up sounds in a forest or at the seashore. Also, ETHER can perceive the electric component of the radiation as well, capturing radiation that is far above the audio range and is much more sensitive. The Volca Mix is a four-channel analog mixer with an intuitive interface and plenty of connectivity. It provides two mono inputs and one stereo input, perfect for connecting three Volca units. The jacks are mini-jacks, allowing you to make connections with just one stereo mini-cable from the headphone out of each Volca unit. The channel volumes use vertical faders that allow precise control. The gain can be boosted to adjust the mix balance, and mute buttons are also provided. Each channel is also equipped with a LO/HI CUT filter that lets you control the low and high frequency ranges with a single knob. The pristine, natural-sounding filters that you expect from analog gear give you complete control over the character of your sound.
Output and monitor capabilities for use on stage, plus stereo speakers for maximum portability:
The output section provides RCA stereo line outputs to ensure stable connection. There's a master volume with LED VU meter for adjusting the output level, as well as a headphone output that can be used simultaneously with the line output, providing a reliable monitoring environment on stage. Speakers are also built-in for excellent portability. The stereo speakers are placed at both sides of the front, and while compact, deliver SPL levels that are even greater than the built-in speakers on previous Volca units.

The Volca Mix is equipped with master effects powered by all-analog circuitry. In addition to an expander that broadens a mono source into a stereo sound image, there's a dynamic range compressor that compresses the high-frequency range according to level changes of the low-frequency region, as well as a side chain effect that's indispensable for dance music. Use these to dynamically vary the mix, adding a professional feel to live performances with the Volca.
Connect an external effect unit for further variety:
The Volca Mix provides a stereo mini-jack send out and AUX in jack, and send level knobs for each channel. This allows you to use it with an external effect unit in a send/return connection. When used in conjunction with a unit such as the mini Kaoss pad 2S, you can also enhance your live performances using standard effects such as reverb, delay, filter, and break. The AUX in jack can also be used as a stereo input channel for a fourth Volca unit, an iOS app, or any other gadget, instrument, or device.

The volca kick generates powerfully present kick sounds using a completely analog circuit. To create those sounds, it uses not a typical sine wave, but the sound of an oscillating filter from the original MS-20. The powerful Rev.1 filter of the MS-20 self-oscillates when resonance is increased to the maximum, and this is used to produce powerful kick sounds with complex overtones.
Simple and effective parameters are provided, allowing you to freely design a wide range of kick sounds to your taste. Start the sound design process by using MS-20 RESONATOR (PITCH/BEND/TIME) to control the sense of pitch that generates the "body resonance" of the kick sound. Then use PULSE COLOUR/LEVEL to adjust the clip components to control the sense of attack, and AMP ATTACK/DECAY to intuitively control the decay of the sound.
