Doepfer A-100 Basic System 3 Full Analogue Modular System (LC6v case with PSU)
Cat: 982339 • View all Synthesisers

Full analogue modular system
Notes: The new basic system 3 from Doepfer is a return to Dieter Doepfer's original vision of analogue modular synthesis. Modules can be connected via front panel audio and CV connectors and used in infinite combinations. The Basic System 3 is an easily accessible and well-structured system that can be used by enthusiasts and beginners alike. It can be used as a base for exploring sound synthesis and electronic sounds, or as a supplement to delve deeper into different types of synthesis. For example, it is possible to create 4-part paraphonic patches or create complex sounds using the ring modulator. Percussion and drum sounds can also be created in a variety of ways alongside the classic synth sounds. The system's two filters can also be set to self-resonance to provide additional sound sources. The Waveshaper can be used to modify simple sounds and change their overall timbre. As each user's personal requirements are different, blank panels are installed that can be replaced with modules. This means there is no need to buy a new cabinet.

The following modules are included in the basic system 3:

1x A-108 6/12/24/48dB Low Pass Filter
2x A-110-1 Standard VCO
1x A-118 Noise / Random

MachineRoom Filth Analogue Transistor Ladder Filter Module MachineRoom Filth Analogue Transistor Ladder Filter Module MachineRoom Filth Analogue Transistor Ladder Filter Module
Cat: 983127 • View all Synth modules

Analogue low pass or high pass 12dB or 24dB transistor ladder filter module - 10HP
Notes: The basis of the module is a version of the transistor ladder with low-end compensation at resonance, to which Machineroom have added aggressive Overload and linear VCA. Thanks to three audio inputs, FILTH can work with polyphonic patches, if you add Trilobite (or another triple osc) and ADSR to it, you will get a paraphonic synthesizer. 2 VCA inputs in the classic case allow you to use loudness envelope and voltage offset (for example, velocity) at the same time, but there are many more options for their application.

Works in LP/HP and 12/24 db modes

In the 24db mode, the filter self-oscillates and can act as a sine generator with perfect pitch tracking in the range of 5 octaves.

Despite the name, without overload, the module can be used as a vanilla filter, but its brutal version is generally more preferrable.

Based on "transistor ladder" design of Minimoog 204D with a cut-off slope of -24 db/octave as in various Moog synthesisers.

MachineRoom Trilobite Triple Analogue Saw-Core Oscillator Module MachineRoom Trilobite Triple Analogue Saw-Core Oscillator Module MachineRoom Trilobite Triple Analogue Saw-Core Oscillator Module MachineRoom Trilobite Triple Analogue Saw-Core Oscillator Module
Cat: 983133 • View all Synth modules

Triple analogue saw-core oscillator module - 26HP
Notes: TRILOBITE is a triple oscillator analogue module inspired by the original Moog schematics and made with thru-hole components only.

The module features:

- 4 octave ranges
- 3 waveforms (triangle, square, saw),
- UNISON (FINE) control with a range of +/- 12 semi-tones
- Independent LIN FM and PWM inputs with attenuators
- White noise source

Independent audio output is provided for each oscillator. A mixed output is also present featuring a level control.

We are recommended to use independent audio outputs to avoid distortion, in this case MiX output works as WHITE NOISE source with attenuator.

V/oct input of the first oscillator is normalled to all 3 oscillators, so OSC2 and OSC3 would track it too, however, connecting other signals to the other V/oct inputs make each input independent.

The minimum frequency of each oscillator is as low as 3Hz which makes it possible to use them as LFO.

Each oscillator tracks up to 9 octaves.

V/Oct range: 0-10 V

NB: Trilobite as is a full analogue module so should be allowed 5-7 minutes to warm up before use.

* 26HP
* skiff-friendly (25mm depth)
* 200 mA +12V
* 180 mA -12V

MachineRoom Prodigy Dual Analogue VCO Module (LFO/oscillator/dual/stereo module)
Cat: 983141 • View all Synth modules

Dual analogue voltage-controlled oscillator module - 20HP
Notes: MachineRoom PRODIGY DUAL VCO is an analogue dual oscillator based on the legendary Moog Prodigy synth schematics. MachineRoom improved Bob's design by incorporating ICs with better thermal stability, increased the range of secondary oscillator, and also added cross-modulation possibility. As usual for this limited run of full-analogue handmade modules, MachineRoom used only thru-hole components.

The module features 3 octave registers and 3 waveforms per oscillator.

OSC1 generates SAW, SQUARE, and TRIANGLE waves with 8, 16, 32 octave registers.
OSC2 generates SAW, PULSE, and TRIANGLE waves with 4, 8, 16 octave registers.

Unlike the original version, PRODIGY DUAL VCO allows switching OSC2 to the LFO mode to modulate OSC1 or other parameters (LFO range is from 0.1 Hz to 8.6 kHz). Precise pitch tracking is up to 7 octaves.

PITCH control has a range of +/- of 1.5 octaves with a central point (to have the ability to quickly return to the initial frequency with precision). The rise/fall time of the GLIDE/SLEW is up to 5 seconds

HARD SYNC switch allows syncing the phase and frequency of oscillators.
LINEAR FM input has a built-in attenuator.

OSC2 UNISON control has a range of +/- 7 semi-tones (increase/decrease relative to the Detune central point).
OSC2 V/Oct Tracking switch activates or disables the OSC2's LFO mode. When disabled, OSC2 stops v/oct tracking, and the UNISON knob becomes a control for the LFO frequency.
OSC1 - OSC2 FM switch enables OSC2 as an OSC1 modulator.

When HARD SYNC is switched ON, Pitch/Sync knob controls the phase of oscillators.

The output level of each oscillator is about 3.5V which allows passive mixing. PRODIGY DUAL VCO is analogue so should be allowed 5-7 minutes to warm up before use.

Skiff-friendly design.

Black Lion Revolution 6x6 USB-C Audio Interface & Master Clock Black Lion Revolution 6x6 USB-C Audio Interface & Master Clock Black Lion Revolution 6x6 USB-C Audio Interface & Master Clock

A master clock, standalone DAC & ADC and 6-in/6-out USB audio interface
Notes: Beyond what you expect from an audio interface.

The Revolution 6×6 is an all-purpose studio dynamo that can serve as a master clock, a standalone DAC and ADC, a master clock, and a 6-in, 6-out class-compliant USB interface with audio quality worthy of the Revolution name. Enjoy world-class clocking and low-noise conversion while tracking to the included Studio One Artist. Use the USB OTG connection to sample audio from your phone or tablet... or send audio from your laptop to your mobile device and stream your performance live online. Sync your other hardware devices via Black Lion's proprietary Macro-MMC clocking - all while treating your music with the highest audio quality imaginable.

Audio interfaces don't sound better than this.

Revolution 6×6 is a class-compliant, bus-powered USB audio interface with industry-leading signal quality based on Black Lion's years of experience in audio interface modification. Record anything thanks to balanced XLR, line-level, and instrument-level input options. Connect pro studio monitors or use its two plenty-loud, crystal-clear, mono-summable headphone outputs with direct monitoring mix control. Integrate external gear via the S/PDIF connection and USB OTG.

Rarified tech found in Revolution 6×6 includes the Macro-MMC clock for maximum converter quality, yielding reduced jitter and enhanced harmonics for a glossy, airy top-end you won't hear in lesser interfaces. Proprietary PG-i filtering technology and highly-filtered power rails work with full-circuit power decoupling to further reduce noise contamination. And for the best possible capture and playback, Revolution 6×6 sports the most cutting edge, high-end ICs and Vishay, Nichicon, and Wima capacitors throughout with all internal gain-staging optimized for the best possible signal-to-noise ratio. Last but not least, all analogue I/O is fully decoupled and balanced - right to the very core of the converter!

Standalone mode for DAC and ADC use.

Not every studio task requires a computer. The Revolution 6×6's DAC, word clock, and D/A conversion features can all be used without a computer; just press and hold the "Standalone" button. Hook up your media player via S/PDIF and enjoy good old-fashioned hi-fi listening with good new-fashioned hi-fi conversion, or add two additional output channels from another audio interface or digital mixer.

Many MPCs, synths, and guitar processors also have S/PDIF, which will often deliver better sound than using their onboard converters.

For recording, connect any guitar processor with a S/PDIF output and enjoy high-quality D/A conversion of your custom guitar tones. You can even connect Revolution 6×6 to your computer over USB for hi-fi listening by bypassing the questionable converters in your old laptop. Use S/PDIF to add two channels to an audio interface or digital mixer, all synchronized by the same master clock over BNC.

As a standalone A/D converter, you'll add two superior channels of Black Lion-converted audio over S/PDIF to your existing recording setup - and you won't have to buy an ADAT expander.

Get mobile with USB On-The-Go.

USB On-the-Go connectivity gives the Revolution 6×6 2-in, 2-out connectivity with Android and Apple mobile devices. It's perfect for livestreamers and mobile musicians who record to or stream from phones and tablets. Connect two USB devices to the Revolution 6×6 simultaneously and send audio to and from either. Sample from your phone to your laptop, or livestream an iPad performance from your phone... the possibilities are endless!

Shocking clocking.

The Macro-MMC (Master Music Clock) in Revolution 6×6 was developed from Black Lion's experience creating dedicated word clocks, as well as modifying many embedded clocks found in other recording interfaces. Macro-MMC ensures the best possible performance from its converters, but also allows you to connect external gear via the BNC connections for maximum sync and ultra-low jitter - meaning any devices synced via Macro-MMC are communicating as accurately as possible to minimize the phase distortions that can muddy your high-end and dull your transients.

If you've already invested in a clock you like, that's fine - the Revolution 6×6 graciously accepts clock in.

All the software tools you need, included.

The Revolution Software Suite covers all of your software needs so you can start creating from day one. You'll record straight into the award-winning Studio One Artist, of course... and we've also included select plugins from Izotope, Psychic Modulation, Brainworx, and Lindell:

Eventide Omnipressor 2830Au Dynamics Effects Processor Eventide Omnipressor 2830Au Dynamics Effects Processor Eventide Omnipressor 2830Au Dynamics Effects Processor

Dynamics effects processor unit
Notes: In 1973, Eventide Clockworks introduced the Omnipressor, the first studio product to encourage the use of dynamics for special effects. It joined the Instant Phaserr in studios worldwide, with the Instant Flanger following shortly after. All were used on countless recordings and are now considered truly classic products. Unlike the Phaser and Flanger, the Omnipressor, with its still-unique dynamic reversal, infinite compression, variable gating and separate "side chain," was discontinued a few years later. It had become difficult to obtain some exclusive parts and even more difficult to explain it to an industry that was much less sophisticated than it is today.

Omnipressor was the first dynamics effects processor of any kind, suddenly making possible a new, wide range of dynamics effects unlike anything that had come before it. Originally invented by Eventide's founder, Richard Factor (and later redesigned for production by Jon Paul), the Omnipressor made a host of dynamic effects possible. It featured variable control of all aspects of dynamic modification. It also introduced the notion of the 'side chain' and foretold techniques that today we take for granted like 'look ahead' processing. One of Eventide's first customers was Brian May, the lead guitarist of Queen.

Eventide now announces the golden-anniversary Omnipressor Model 2830*Au. The original handdrawn schematics were in the Eventide archives, and the new model is a faithful replica designed with the same circuitry and the same sound as the original 2830.

The new *Au model features the ability to link multiple units and is fitted with input and output audio transformers, which were a costly option on the original. Other improvements include a universal power supply and a back-lit meter, as well as more convenient TRS/XLR connectors replace the original terminal strip.

A remarkable large-format book covering some of the deepest, rarest, and most innovative jazz music released anywhere in the post-war era
Notes: BBE Music is thrilled to present J Jazz: Free and Modern Jazz From Japan 1954-1988, a remarkable large-format book covering some of the deepest, rarest, and most innovative jazz music released anywhere in the post-war era. Compiled by Tony Higgins and Mike Peden, co-curators of BBE Music’s acclaimed J Jazz Masterclass Series, the book also features a foreword by Japanese jazz icon, Terumasa Hino.

This is the first time a book of this type has been has been published outside of Japan and the first anywhere of this size and scale. It is a unique collection of over 500 albums of free and modern jazz recorded and released in Japan during a period of radical transformation and constant reinvention. An era that saw Japan return from the ravages of World War Two to become a global economic power and emerge as both a technological leader and an international cultural force.

Through a unique gallery of albums, J Jazz charts the development of jazz in Japan from the first stirrings of the modern jazz scene in the mid to late 1950s and on through the hard bop and modal jazz of the 1960s. It steers the reader into the radical directions of the 1970s when free jazz, fusion, post-bop, and jazz-funk opened up a growing number of Japanese jazz artists to a new global audience before consolidating in the mid to late 1980s with a musical scene that laid the path for the contemporary jazz generation to follow.

Over 500 full-colour sleeves from many of the leading names in Japanese jazz sit alongside rare and private pressings that tell a story of constant change and musical exploration. J Jazz includes profiles of several leading record labels such as East Wind, Frasco, King Records, and Nippon Columbia as well as critical independents such as Three Blind Mice, ALM, and Aketa’s Disk. J Jazz includes interviews with celebrated jazz photographer Tadayuki Naito, and pianist Tohru Aizawa, bandleader on the totemic spiritual jazz album, Tachibana Vol 1, as well as free-jazz record collector and jazz musician Mats Gustafsson.

The book also features a chapter on albums by non-Japanese artists that only received a Japanese release, with collectible, rare, and obscure releases by figures such as Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis, Mal Waldron, Steve Lacy, and Art Blakey. J Jazz includes Japanese jazz charts from some of the world’s leading jazz DJs including Gilles Peterson, Toshio Matsuura, Paul Murphy, and Shuya and Yoshihiro Okino. Among the specialist content is a feature on obi strips by record dealer and Japanese jazz expert, Yusuke Ogawa, plus a special article on Japanese Blue Note albums.

Across its 300-plus pages, J Jazz includes a detailed introduction contextualising the music, tracing the story of Japan’s fascination with jazz back before the war. It also features biographical information on many of the key artists involved in shaping the post- war Japanese jazz scene including Sadao Watanabe, Toshiko Akiyoshi, Masabumi Kikuchi, Masahiko Togashi, Terumasa Hino, Yosuke Yamashita, Fumio Itabashi, Masayuki Takayanagi, Takeo Moriyama, Isao Suzuki, and many more.

Cat: 944640 Rel: 30 Apr 24 • View all Synthesisers

A unique duophonic hybrid-analogue synthesiser with dual filter, patches and full USB-C MIDI Control.
Notes: Mantis is a unique, duophonic hybrid synthesizer that was co-developed by the late Chris Huggett (of EDP Wasp, OScar & more fame) and is dubbed as a spiritual successor to the OSCar, sporting precision digital oscillators, dual state variable filters and more.

Mantis is a premium synthesizer, sporting a high quality 37-note velocity and pressure sensitive keybed, SSI2164 IC's for the VCF's and VCA's, custom high performance processors for the oscillators coupled with a pristine analogue signal path, which features a twice amplified gain structure for maximum clipping capabilities plus lush stereo digital FX.

The modulation capabilities are vast with:
Two unique ADSR's that feature "sustain fall" that allows you to create a drop before release...even while a key is held for greater sound design possibilities. The envelopes can also be set to cycle.
Two tempo-syncable LFO's with four waves, fade in and fade out parameters and a seriously wide operating range.
Ring modulation available at the mixer
And a unique modulation routing controller with 6 choices of modulation parameters, 6 choices of modulation sources and scale control, which used to scale the effect of the modulation.

In development over the last period of his life Chris threw everything into Mantis. Although incomplete when he sadly passed away in 2020, he handed the project over to Paul of PWM to carry on and continue the project.

PWM, with the support of Chris' estate, think this synthesiser deserves to be born into the world for everyone to enjoy!

PWM MANTIS Key Features:
Hybrid-Analogue Synthesiser, powerful digital oscillators with dual analogue filters
With Mathematically Generated Oscillators with a Pure Analogue Signal Path
A Modernised Design Architecture based on the WASP with an OSCar style filter designed by the late, great Chris Huggett
Duophonic - Two Fully Independent Voices each with 2 Oscillators plus Sub-Oscillator per voice
Dual Filters - Multi-Mode State Variable VCF's with Overdrive per voice that can be combined in Series or Parallel with Width Control

Passive multiple module - 2HP
Notes: Expand the connectivity options in your Eurorack system with the versatile 2HP Eurorack compatible Passive Multiple. This compact module is an indispensable helper when it comes to efficiently distributing signals within your modular setup. With its intelligent design and two normalized channels, it offers a flexible solution for a wide range of patch requirements.

Space-saving design

With its slim design of only 2HP, the Passive Multiple fits seamlessly into any Eurorack system without taking up much space.

Flexible Signal Distribution

Thanks to the two normalised channels, this module can be used either as a 2x 1->3 multiple for distributing a signal to up to three targets, or as a 1x 1->6 multiple to send a signal to up to six targets. This flexibility makes it a true all-rounder for your patch environment.

Optimized for gate and trigger

The module is specially designed for the distribution of gates and triggers. It allows you to route a signal unchanged to multiple outputs, which is ideal for complex signal paths.

Limited CV signal suitability

Although the passive multiple can also be used for CV signals, it is only suitable to a limited extent due to its passive design. For precise voltage distribution, especially with pitch CV, we recommend using a buffered multiple to avoid signal loss and inaccuracies.

Notes: ADDAC309 CV to Expression allows a simple and straight forward connection between modular and effect pedals that features expression pedal TRS inputs.

Instead of using an expression pedal into the effects pedal the user can use this module in between a CV source and the Effects pedal to be controlled.

This is a great way to control the available parameters on the effects pedals straight from a CV source.

ADDAC309 features 2 channels each with a CV Input with attenuator and a 1/4" jack output.

This is a passive module, the power needed for operation is taken from the pedal power instead of the modular frame, this allows for perfect matching of the pedal's operating voltage which can range from 3.3v to 9v.

Notes: Alter is an effects processor for Eurorack format. There are two versions of the Alter which are visually identical except the names "Alter 1" and "Alter 2". This is Alter 1. Internally, 1 & 2 have an entirely different set of effects from the other. Each version features 7 unique and meticulously designed DSP effects.

Control

- Controls for mix, X, Y and Sift as well as clock.
- All effects have a variation of a filter which may change effect to effect.
- X and Y control various rates, feedback and time over the different effects (note that some of the images shows a prototype which says "rate" under two of the pots. The faceplate has been changed to X and Y).
- Clock control adjusts the rate which controls the DSP which can drastically change the effect. In doing so it does slightly lower the quality of the output signal but the results are fantastic. This clock is not for synchronization.
- Mix, X, Y and Sift all have CV control inputs.
- Each control level or CV input is visualized on the control panel.

Ins and outs

- Stereo inputs with separate level/gain control for right and left channels. These levels can also act as mute as it can take the signal to 0. They can also add gain to a quiet signal.
- Peak level indicator for clipping levels at the input
- Mono input is made stereo within the DSP and outputs to both left and right channels
- Stereo outputs for right and left channels

Effects

The effect is selected by the hexagonal touch pad. The effects for Alter 1 are as follows:
1 - long delay
2 - tight, notated granular delay
3 - plate reverb
4 - shimmering reverb
5 - distortion multi-filter

Multi-effects pedal
Notes: Alter X is the pedal version of Alter 1 eurorack module featuring four 1/4" jacks in addition to 1/8" as well as buffered switching that allows for trails.

Though it functions the same as other pedals, this pedal is a little different. Most pedals are made for guitars and then artists may choose to use them in different ways. Folktek made this pedal to work with either standard 1/4" jacks (for both input and output) or 1/8" (3.5mm) jacks for use with anything else. For those who like to use CV (control voltage) for any eurorack format, cv keyboard, or pedals which output cv (e.g. expression or sequencing), all four of the main knobs have cv inputs (mix, x, y, filter) so you can control your knobs without touching if the desire strikes you.

These pedals accept guitar, line or eurorack levels.

The enclosure is very thick, gold plated PCB (it's very, very tough).

Included power is standard for most pedals (2.1mm, -tip)

Folktek wanted a broad array of effects in each X and Y pedal so each is a mashup of effects which complimented one another when used together. Running X into Y or vis versa creates some powerful changes.

Control

- Controls for Mix, X, Y and Sift as well as clock.
- All effects have a variation of a filter which may change effect to effect.
- X and Y control various rates, feedback and time over the different effects (note that some of the images shows a prototype which says "rate" under two of the pots. The faceplate has been changed to "X" and "Y").

- Mix, X, Y and filter all have CV control inputs.
- Each control level or cv input is visualized on the control panel.
- Buffered relay-based bypass over 1/4" ins and out.

Folktek Resonant Garden Electronic-Acoustic Hybrid Instrument
Cat: 983105 • View all Synthesisers

Electronic-acoustic hybrid instrument
Notes: The Resonant Garden is an electronic-acoustic hybrid instrument designed to create anything from beats and oddities to dense soundscapes.

The garden utilizes three Alter circuits each equipped with a mic pre-amp, and 4 sprout (stringed) panels for generating acoustics. By plucking, rubbing, tapping or even bowing, those micro-acoustic sounds become amplified and affected by the Alter in any number of ways. In essence, the garden is a large microphone designed to pick up vibrations.

Monolithic vs Discrete

A Monolithic version of the Resonant garden consists of a single faceplate for the entire instrument.

A Discrete version of the Resonant garden consists of 7 faceplates, three for each Alter module and four for the sprouts. The discrete version allows for individual sprout and Alter modules to be moved around or substituted with other modules. Keep in mind the power and audio distribution system is designed for the configuration shown here, but can easily be hand wired with standard cables (sold separately). The maximum depth for modules in the garden box is 33mm.

Effects

There are two Alter 1 units and one Alter 2 unit. Each Alter 1 has seven DSP effects which are selected by touching the copper hexagon:

1 - long delay (capable of near infinite feedback looping)
2 - notated granular delay
3 - plate reverb
4 - shimmering reverb
5 - distortion and multi-filter
6 - pitch delay
7 - stutter glitch

Alter 2 has the following effects:

1 - analogue delay
2 - reverb with infinite capture and lp + hp filters
3 - choral reverb
4 - palindrome reverse delay - backward/forward repeat
5 - time stretch
6 - pitch shift (notated semi-tones
7 - time stretch glitch

Control

On each of the Alter sections, the following is present:
- Control for the gain of the mic pre-amp or any incoming audio.
- Controls for Mix, X, Y and Sift as well as clock.
- All effects have a variation of a filter which may change effect to effect.
- X and Y control various rates.

Acoustics

Each garden panel is equipped with a contact mic. A contact mic is designed to pick up vibration. The mic pre-amp is specifically designed to deal with the frequencies of the contact mic by boosting certain frequencies and dulling others in order to optimize the sound quality. The mic pre-amp has a gain control so the level can be adjusted according to how you intend to play.

Routing

1/8" stereo inputs with separate level/gain control for right and left channels. These level controls can also act as mute as they can take the signal to 0. They can also add gain to a quiet signal.
In its natural state, each Alter utilizes the garden panel acoustics and each Alter outputs its own signal. By plugging in to the left input of any Alter, the mic amp is bypassed. This means that the signal can be chained from one alter to another, utilizing the single final output. This chain of effects can result in an incredibly broad range of sound.
- use all effects in parallel (3 sets of stereo output)
- use two in series and one in parallel (2 sets of stereo output)
- use all in series (single stereo output)
- peak level indicator for clipping levels at the input

Design

The box is constructed with Sapele African hardwood and a white birch bottom panel. It features anodized black aluminium rails for mounting the faceplates. Each sprout of strings is bolted in from the back and held in place with a backing panel under the main board.
Each box has unique wood grain patterns. The wood grain shown in the images will appear different for each instrument we ship.

Acoustic electronic synthesiser & audio effect processor
Notes: Acoustic Electronic "synthesiser" and external audio effect processor with CV control. Little sister of the Resonant Garden.

The Nano Garden is an acoustic-electronic hybrid designed to create anything from beats and oddities to dense soundscapes. From its inception in 2006, the original garden has gone through many changes and refinements: micro garden, luminist garden and illuminist garden and finally this latest and likely final version of what is essentially an expanded micro garden.

The Nano Garden essentially utilizes a single Alter circuit with 7 effects selected specifically for this instrument. Each is also equipped with a mic pre-amp, and 2 garden (stringed) panels for generating acoustics. By plucking, rubbing, tapping or even bowing, those micro-acoustic sounds become amplified and effected by the Alter in any number of ways. In essence, the garden is a large microphone designed to pick up vibrations. Aside from the internal mic, the nano can be used to process external signals with any of the internal effects as well.

Effects

There is a single Alter in the Nano which has seven different DSP effects, selected by touching the copper hexagon. The effect list is different than either Alter 1 or 2 - these are selected specifically for the Nano (this selection is subject to change):

1 - long delay (capable of near infinite feedback looping)
2 - notated granular delay
3 - plate reverb
4 - choral reverb
5 - palindrome reverse delay - backward/forward repeat
6 - pitch delay
7 - time stretch/glitch

Control

- Control for the gain of the mic pre-amp or any incoming audio.
- Controls for Mix, X, Y and Sift as well as clock.
- All effects have a variation of a filter which may change effect to effect.
- X and Y control various rates.

Acoustics

Each sprout panel is equipped with a contact mic.

Design

The box is constructed with Sapele African hardwood and a white birch bottom panel. It features anodized black aluminium rails for mounting the faceplates. Each sprout of strings is bolted in from the back and held in place with a backing panel under the main board.

Each box has unique wood grain patterns. The wood grain shown in the images will appear different for each instrument Folktek ship.

10-voice polyphonic sampler keyboard synthesiser & sequencer
Notes: WoFI is a portable Sampler keyboard that connects to the internet via WiFi, and features an innovative effect module called Texturer that combines elements of shimmer and granular synthesis to create unique and fascinating sounds. Its compact size and intuitive interface make it an ideal tool for musicians and producers who are always on the move. In addition, WoFI comes with a rechargeable battery, allowing you to create music anywhere you go without worrying about power. You can also share your patches and access sound banks from other sound designers through the mywo.fi community platform. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned professional, WoFI offers endless possibilities for exploring new sonic territories and creating unique sounds.

Features

Player

The Player let you colour your sound with our emulations of classic samplers and their different sample player modes. Make it clean, dirty or anywhere in between.

Enveloppe

Sculpt your sound with the Enveloppe that can be assigned to WoFi's amp, filter or even both.

Manager

With the Manager and its display, get a visual feedback on all your tweakings, manage your sample library, access to mywo.fi content through WiFi and play with the touch strip. Oh, and there is no subscription needed for mywo.fi. Having WoFi gives you free access to community.

Filter

The Filter let you play the WoFi like classic subtractive synthesizers. It's a digital low-pass filter with two different slopes (12dB and 24dB) and a tasty resonance.

Texturer

The Texturer is here to bring you to unexplored sonic territories. Elevate your sound with this effect halfway between a shimmer FX and granular synthesis.

LFO

The LFO let you modulate your creation. With three different wave shapes, assign it to any parameter of the front panel and give motion to the sound.

Sequencer

The Sequencer let you build melodic patterns with the 16 polyphonic steps. It can be used as an arpeggiator. You can have your two hands free to play along the sequence and tweak your sound while it is looping. Oh, and you can also step sequence parameters, which makes it another modulation source in addition of the LFO and the Enveloppe.

Recorder

The Recorder let you either capture a sample from the line in or directly from the built-in microphone. It's easy as pie, pick your audio source with the switch, click on record and voila. Just like with the iconic first keyboard samplers.

Master

The Wofi is made to be played in many contexts, from your couch to the studio, so it has a full connectivity and two stereo audio outputs: one for your headphones and one for a master line-out and the WoFi internal speaker. Set your volumes easily.

Notes: Dark Light is a dual reverb featuring both Dark Star and Sunlight. With all the routing options you could want, including separate stereo, parallel mono, and series mono, Dark Light takes Dark Star’s dark pitch shifted, delayed, and bit crushed reverb voices and Sunlight’s bright modulated, comb filtered, and bandpassed reverb voices and combines them into one massive sound to take your time and drift away in. Each pedal maintains its core sound and control set, then expands from there.

Additional Controls

Wet and Dry volumes for each side (replacing the previous Mix control)

Spread to set the stereo spread, allowing Dark Star and Sunlight to blend into each other’s outputs

Hold switch to create indefinite reverb trails while the pedal is engaged

Hold toggle to choose between holding Dark Star, Sunlight, or both

Exp jack to control any combination of Ctrl 1, Ctrl 2, Decay, Decay, Rate, Depth, or Input with an external expression controller

Independent In and Out routing for each pedal, with automatic parallel mono when plugging into only one

Soft-touch Bypass footswitches for true bypass and minimal switch noise

Requires 9V DC center negative 2.1mm jack power supply capable of 150mA (not included).

The art of Dark Light is by Jon Carling.

This cover feature is a career-spanning piece by Tamara Palmer on Bjork, with a terrifically gorgeous cover image by Marly Beyer
Notes: -BJORK: This cover feature is a career-spanning piece by Tamara Palmer on Iceland's most noted export since the foundation of their parliament in 930, with a terrifically gorgeous cover image by Marly Beyer. -MARCELLUS HALL delivers a 30-plus page excerpt from a graphic novel about life in indie-rock in the early 1990s that's stunning and lyrical.

-Hot on the heels of their world tour, it's an engaging photo essay from Detroit's premier music photographer Doug Coombe on the return of garage punk heroes BE YOUR OWN PET. -Mike Turner spends serious time with BMX champion CHELSEA WOLFE, right when she might be suspended from competition for being trans. -Ana Gavrilovska digs deep into the work of up-and-coming multimedia artist WAYNE PHOENIX. -Uncharacterizable instrumental musicians PENGUIN CAFE are back (under the direction of originator Simon Jeffes' son Arthur Jeffes) and Kurt Reighley is writing beautifully on them. (Their first two records for Eno's label are The Shit.) Cassette tape reviews; Lucy Sante delivers a tribute to the olden days of mp3 blogs.

Mimi Lipson weighs in on cats versus dogs in her advice column; Andy Beta talks of Annea Lockwood in the Icons column; the reissue of the issue is a box set of Pauline Anna Strom, by Michelle Dove; Fred Thomas on "why Sonic Youth's most underrated record deserves a second look" (guess which one it is!); an overview of reissue label Mesh Key for a new column on the people who run labels and stuff like that. In the new column Tracked (on music supervisors) Martin Douglas talks to Tiffany Anders, and it's largely about her work on RESERVATION DOGS! Then there's the column PHYSICAL GRAFFITI by editor McGonigal, an epic look at dozens of recent LP releases plus a few books (that's right, it's a bona fide multi-page record review column), plus the debut of Maggot Brain's food column with a disastrous visit to the Russian Tea Room courtesy of noted genius QUINTRON.

A CV generator based on the simulation of a physical system, ocean swells
Notes: Following ADDAC's ADDC503 Marble Physics here is a new simulation of a physical system. This time, imagine a small area in the middle of the ocean, in this area we place 4 equally spaced buoys anchored to the bottom in such a system that we can control the spacing between the buoys. Imagine we can control the elements and agitate the waters at will which in turn will make the buoys move up and down as the water surface moves.

Finally imagine the buoys would wirelessly transmit their absolute height directly to your module outputs where they would be mapped to a voltage signal.

ADDAC use a Gerstner Wave as the motor behind the two-dimensional wave generation. In fluid dynamics a Gerstner Wave is described as "a progressive wave of permanent form on the surface of an incompressible fluid of infinite depth". Gerstner waves are often used in computer graphics to simulate any type of water surface, if you've seen any animation film or computer game with water surfaces in it most probably it features a Gerstner wave generating it.

60-voice polyphonic wavetable desktop synthesiser
Notes: All the features of the Modwave MkII in a compact 4U 19" desktop/rackmount package. Modwave builds on the legacy of Korg's DW-8000 and transforms it into a modern monster synth, featuring incredibly deep wavetable oscillators, gorgeous filters, wildly flexible modulation, unmatched polyphony, comprehensive pattern sequencing, and immediately satisfying hands-on control to deliver unique, powerful, and easily customizable sounds and phrases.

Like Modwave MkII, the Modwave Module provides an astonishing 60 stereo voices of polyphony - almost double the original Modwave's 32, and an unprecedented number for a wavetable synth at any price. The new 4U rack-mount enclosure has the same controls as the keyboard models, yet is easily transportable and fits neatly into any studio or desktop production system.

Responding to user requests, Korg have updated all LFOs with options for free running, delayed start, and retriggering. Korg have also added a pre/post switch for reverb sends, new modulation sources, and more.

The Modwave Module is fully compatible with the sounds and samples of the original Modwave, Modwave Mk II, and Modwave Native software, as well as many third-party libraries. MIDI 2.0 Property Exchange and Polyphonic Aftertouch Support

64-voice polyphonic altered FM desktop synthesiser
Notes: A new modular model that revolutionizes the music production environment.

Opsix Module is a digital synth like no other. The Opsix Operator Mixer simplified FM synthesis for the first time, making it not just comprehensible but also controllable. With the addition of extra synthesis capabilities and programming, it offered a more efficient workflow and an even richer sound.

Now, Korg has created a new form of Opsix, the module. This model supports MIDI 2.0 property exchange and poly aftertouch, and is an excellent companion to Keystage. It's also fully compatible with the sounds of the original Opsix, Opsix mk II, Opsix SE, and Opsix native software, as well as numerous excellent third-party libraries, keeping the updated sounds and software fresh. The new 19" rack-mountable enclosure has the same controls as the keyed models, yet is easily transportable and fits neatly into any studio or desktop production system.

MIDI 2.0 Property Exchange and Polyphonic Aftertouch support

With the latest software updates, all models of Opsix, hardware and software, now support MIDI 2.0 Property Exchange. Hundreds of the original factory sounds have been updated to include Polyphonic Aftertouch modulation (Channel Aftertouch is supported as well). All of this makes the Opsix module an excellent companion to KORG's Keystage controller.

Rack-Mount and Desktop

The Opsix module is cleverly designed for both desktop and rack-mount use. The panel is redesigned to fit into a standard 19" width, and the rear jack panel is recessed to allow easy access to cables even with gear mounted directly above. With desktop setups, brackets offer a choice of panel angles: flatter for performing standing up, or more upright for working while seated in your studio.

Many musicians have requested a module version of the Opsix. Now that components are once again available after a long period of supply-chain disruption, KORG is pleased to make that request a reality.

96-voice polyphonic wave sequencing desktop synthesiser
Notes: A new modular model that makes a big difference in the music production environment.

Introducing the Wavestate module - all of the features of the Wavestate mkII in a compact 19" desktop/rackmount package.

In 2020, the acclaimed Wavestate brought KORG's Wave Sequencing to the next level. Featuring the radically re-imagined Wave Sequencing 2.0, the Wavestate delivers astonishing, ever-changing sounds with extensive hands-on control. Far from a nostalgic reissue, the Wavestate was designed from the ground up for a new generation of musicians, producers, and composers, taking cues from sources as diverse as modular synths, groove boxes, and algorithmic composition.

120 voices of polyphony, updated LFOs, and more

Taking full advantage of both a new enclosure design and new processing hardware, the Wavestate module provides an impressive 120 stereo voices of polyphony. The new 4U rack-mount enclosure has the same controls as the keyboard models, yet is easily transportable and fits neatly into any studio or desktop production system.

Responding to user requests, we've also updated all LFOs with options for free running, delayed start, and retriggering, added new modulation sources, and more. A software update will also be available for the original Wavestate.

The Wavestate module is fully compatible with the sounds and samples of the original Wavestate, Wavestate mk II, Wavestate SE, and Wavestate native software, as well as many excellent third-party libraries.

MIDI 2.0 Property Exchange and Polyphonic Aftertouch support

With the latest software updates, all models of Wavestate, hardware and software, now support MIDI 2.0 Property Exchange. Hundreds of the original factory sounds have been updated to include Polyphonic Aftertouch modulation (Channel Aftertouch is supported as well). All of this makes the Wavestate module an excellent companion to KORG's Keystage controller.

Rack-Mount and Desktop

The Wavestate module is cleverly designed for both desktop and rack-mount use. The panel is redesigned to fit into a standard 19" width, and the rear jack panel is recessed to allow easy access to cables even with gear mounted directly above. With desktop setups, brackets offer a choice of panel angles: flatter for performing standing up, or more upright for working while seated in your studio.

Many musicians have requested a module version of the wavestate. Now that components are once again available after a long period of supply-chain disruption, KORG is pleased to make that request a reality.

18-key, 8-step sequencer synthesiser with effects
Notes: Build it, tweak it, connect it; a world of synthesis at your fingertips!

The compact and incredibly powerful NTS-1 is back with an array of new features, a refreshed interface and more customization options than ever before.

Boasting a new keyboard, built-in sequencer, fresh sounds, and expanded MIDI capabilities, the NTS-1 mkII packs a gigantic set of features in the palm of your hand.

Powered by an even more powerful processor than its predecessor, the NTS-1 mkII unlocks its full potential and welcomes a new wave of custom content through its upgraded logueSDK.

This DIY synth and effects unit is not just powerful but also versatile, a must-have tool for both studio and stage.

New Multitouch keyboard

The NTS-1 mkII boasts a new 18-key multitouch keyboard, substituting the ribbon controller of the first generation, for precise playing and sequencing. This upgrade unlocks the ability to send MIDI note messages polyphonically, opening the doors to custom oscillators and effects leveraging the paraphonic potential of the NTS-1.

The centre of your performance

In addition to a powerful arpeggiator, the new 8-step sequencer opens a whole new world of musical possibilities. With live and step recording modes (with per-note gate length and velocity settings) available in combination with its new keyboard and easy octave switch, the NTS-1 mkII provides an intuitive and seamless performance experience.

The NTS-1 mkII takes the sting out of forgetting your creative sparks. A new autosave function recalls all the parameters used in your last performance, including the step sequencer data, so you can pick up right where you left off. No more struggling to remember knob tweaks and pattern edits!

But that's not all! NTS-1 mkII has a MIDI OUT output so you can use its internal sequencer to control other gear in your setup.

Powerful new engine, sounds and effects
NTS-1 mkII is an extremely powerful, flexible and fun-to-explore synth. While retaining the versatile features of its predecessor, this new iteration adds an array of new sounds, including new oscillator types and modulation possibilities, using its Audio IN signal as a modulation source to create FM, AM or RING sounds.

The NTS-1 mkII is also an incredibly capable and expandable FX unit. In the mkII, we added many new Modulation (distortion, fuzz...), Delay (tape delay, BPM synced delays...) and Reverb effects, as well as handy oscillator OFF and Filter THRU functions, making it a uniquely versatile piece of gear that will cover all your needs at home or on stage.

Expanded connectivity

Integrating the NTS-1 mkII is now easier than ever. In addition to the SYNC IN/OUT and MIDI IN, we've added a new MIDI OUT output for seamless connection and expanded performance possibilities with other gear. On top of that, most parameters on NTS-1 mkII have been made MIDI CC compatible for deeper control.

It is also now powered through a new USB-C bus.

Even more DIY fun

The new NTS-1 mkII retains the DIY kit format from the original, and offers new customization options with reversible anodized silver and metallic black side panels. And don't worry, we've kept the same form factor and dimensions as its predecessor meaning custom sides, stands and other custom parts will still fit!

A new and more powerful logueSDK

Powered by a new chip, the NTS-1 mkII has expanded processing power, making complex effects and oscillators more possible than ever before. A new development API is available for developers on Github.

Customization and 3D data

Thanks to its DIY nature and open design, the NTS-1 mkII is a highly customizable synthesizer that you can modify in several ways. In addition to the open source logueSDK that allows users to build their own custom oscillators and effects, the hardware of the NTS-1 mkII can also be physically modified cosmetically and functionally. To help you get started with physical customization, we are providing the necessary schematics and instructions to personalize your NTS-1 mkII in many different ways!

Free bundle of music software

The NTS-1 mkII comes with a diverse variety of music software from Izotope including "Ozone Elements" which lets you not only create songs but also master them using AI, "Skoove" which will help you improve your keyboard playing skills, "Reason Lite" DAW software, as well as software synths from KORG and other brands.

In other words, the moment you get your hands on this synthesizer you'll have a variety of tools to help you take your music to the next level.
