Notes: The MCV4 is a budget-priced MIDI-to-CV interface to control vintage monophonic synthesizers via MIDI. The MCV4 is provided with 4 analog control voltage outputs (CV1-4) and one gate/trigger output.

MIDI channel, reference note for CV1 (this is the MIDI note corresponding to 0V of CV1 and thus the lowest possible note of the analog synthesizer connected to MCV4) and the controller no. for CV4 are adjusted via learn function. For this the learn button must be pressed and the required MIDI messages sent from the MIDI controlling device (MIDI synthesizer, keyboard, sequencer). The other parameters (retrigger, trigger polarity and assign mode) are adjusted in learn mode via program-change messages.

The Hz/V mode available in the predecessor model MCV1 is not available with the MCV4 because of the many problems occuring with the non-linear Hz/V characteristic. But some synthesizers normally using Hz/V can be be controlled with V/Oct (e.g. Korg MS10/MS20, details you may find in the MCV4 user's guide).

If you want to use all 4 analog control voltages, you need 2 special cables with a stereo 1/4" jack plug on one end (MCV4 side) and 2 mon 1/4" jack plugs on the other (synthesizer side). You may get such cables from your local dealer but Doepfer also offer such a cable (MCV4 cable 1/4" stereo, 2 x 1/4" mono). If you need it Doepfer recommend to order it together with the MCV4.

Little switch, big streams

Toggle from recording to livestreaming with the Music / Streaming Switch. When in Music mode, each input acts independently with individual gain control. It also sends separate mixes to each headphone output.

When in Streaming mode all inputs are combined into one signal to work seamlessly with your streaming software.

Onboard monitoring

Use the Direct Monitor Switch to send the input signal directly to your headphones while routing the same signal to your DAW or streaming software.

Loop it back

The Loopback Switch combines the input audio with playback from your computer and routes it to your streaming software. This is perfect for adding background music to your stream or singing live with an instrumental track.

Mic/line guitar

Switch Input 1 from mic or line level to guitar level (Hi-Z).

Stereo link

Links two inputs for stereo recording or streaming and allows you to control both inputs with one gain knob.

And good for polyrhythmic - especially for experimental musicians - if an odd division-factor is selected and MIDI-master and slave seem to be not in sync, but from time to time come together in perfect sync.

You can also set whether only the newly created MIDI-clock and mmc commands (start, stop, continue) are sent or the, at the MIDI-in incoming data, will be mixed with that.

All settings will be saved and restored at startup.

Notes: The audiowerkstatt din2midi2din v2 has a MIDI- and a DIN-sync-output and on both outputs a clock-signal is sent at the same time.

With a button you can select, if the clock-signal present at the DIN-sync- or the MIDI-input is used. A LED indicates the selected input.

The device operates as a standard in "Sync24"-mode (24 clock pulses per quarter note). By holding the button when switching on, the device is started in "Sync48"-mode (48 clock pulses per quarter note).

This stylish 24-bit / 192 kHz USB-C audio interface is so small, it will instantly become your new companion on the go and in your studio. Neva Duo is USB bus powered and Plug & Play, just plug it in and start working! Hum in an audio system is often caused by loop effects which act like antennas. These loops can easily pick up a 60 Hz (or higher harmonics) hum transmitted by electrical wiring. Typically, these loops are connected via grounds, more commonly called 'ground loops'. The safest way to eliminate unwanted noise is with the CleanBOX II.

Some examples of Ground Loops:

The power ground of a synthesizer, connected to the signal ground of the synth, into a mixer's ground, then into a mixer's power ground.
The signal ground of a send effect (reverb, delay) into a mixer, and the connecting power grounds of the mixer and the unit.
