Unfortunately acquiescing to the comparatively better-received song from the same album, 'Suspicion' - which did well in the charts thanks to its effective release as a panicked reaction to a Terry Stafford cover version - 'Kiss Me Quick' is an exotic 1960s jaunt, nailing the high pressure of limited-time-only seductive deals; kiss Elvis quick, or he'll move on to the next thing that moves! It was released in 1962, just a couple of years after Presley had been discharged from military service. People wondered if he would ever be able to capture the early career form he had in the 1950s and this film, its soundtrack, and other albums like Something For Everybody certainly put paid to that.
