It's all in the geometry. One of the downsides of port compression is bass distortion. As you turn up the volume, the efficiency of the port reduces and distortion will increase. Eve audio opted for a large rear rectangular port with no hard edges for our bass port designs. That's one of the reasons Eve monitors have a high efficiency on the lower frequencies.

The results are high sound pressures with tight and punchy bass frequencies that don't cause port distortion. Crank up the volume, and Eve will deliver a round bass. And with no holes to look at every time you glance at your speakers.

Designed to integrate sound sources from outside Eurorack, Verbos's Real World Interface offers three channels including built-in microphones, preamps, envelope followers and a frequency detector.

Supplier's Notes:
The Real World Interface is a 3-channel external processing module intended for connecting with sound sources outside the system. The channels are oriented as vertical channel strips. The left and right channels have a built-in condenser microphone, preamp, envelope follower with variable decay and gate extractor. In addition to a preamp, envelope follower and gate extractor, the centre channel also has an Automatic Gain Control (fixed high ratio compressor), fundamental extractor (tracking lowpass filter), frequency detector and locked oscillator. Internal microphones are useful for introducing electro acoustic room sounds into the modular. Envelope followers can be used to have external signal levels effect parameters such as filter cutoff or level for building dynamics processors. Gate extraction allows external sounds such as metronomes, clicks, claps or room sounds to advance sequencers, trigger sounds or initiate other events. The Frequency Detector can extract the pitch of simple monophonic sounds but is also a semi chaotic CV source in the tradition of such modules since their introduction in the 1960's. The Locked Oscillator plays a sine wave at the same pitch as the input signal.

The Verbos Polyphonic Envelope module is a set of four envelope generators which can be used together or independently. Cascade logic allows the four envelopes to trigger sequentially with subsequent envelopes starting at the Hold, Decay or End of the previous envelope.

Each envelope offers its own gate input, CV output and end pulse output, so it can be used in up to four-voice polyphonic patches. The three skew controls allow the times to change as each new envelope is switched on. All parameters can be voltage controlled.

This updated version is identical in appearance and functionality but will include a pair of YM3438 chips instead of the YM2612. The YM3438 is a variant of the YM2612 that is identical in functionality and was featured in the Sega Megadrive II. The circuit layout has also been updated to grant access to the FM chips with minimal disassembly.

Indeed the chips are now socketed (removable) and accessible by removing the bottom panel.

This allows you to install alternate FM chips (like the YM2612, modern alternatives or even custom sound chips).

You can also mix different versions of FM chip as there are 2 slots that can be configured individually.

MEGAfm MKII features the same audio circuitry and analog distortion as the MKI, as a result both chips sound very similar inside of MEGAfm.

Notes: The Avantone MixCubes are shielded, full-range mini reference monitors. Their design is inspired by the legacy of the 5C Sound Cubes used in virtually all-major studios for the last 25 years.

Studios primarily use 2-way & 3-way larger monitors designed to represent a wide range reference viewpoint at higher listening levels. However, in this newly developing age of high definition audio, there is still a need to also hear what your mix will sound like when played back over small bass-challenged systems such as televisions, clock radios, computers, car stereos, iPod docking stations, etc. It is important to make mixing judgments based partially on listening to reference monitors that will not impart tonal anomalies caused by crossovers or inferior full range drivers. Particular attention is always paid to the critical mid-range vocal/guitar/keyboard areas. This is where having a full-range monitor without a crossover is truly revealing. Ten months of R&D comparative listening & tweaking went into the voicing of the Avantone MixCubes. The result is a very smooth sounding, full range upgrade from the original 5C Sound Cubes. Listening tests reveal that the MixCubes have a smooth, more open, transparent top end response with extended bass while maintaining their basic original character.

The original 5C Sound Cubes were made of 1/2" particleboard covered with a glue-on wood grain contact paper. Avantone chose to use thicker, denser MDF board because of its high rigidity and inherent low-resonance characteristics. Avantone started with a 165mm (6 1/2") sealed cube design with radiused edges. Avantone then chose an elegant polyurethane high gloss retro-cream finish. The originals had either screws or on later models plastic binding posts mounted on a recessed plastic cup. Avantone upgraded to high-end nickel plated, machined solid metal binding posts (dual banana spacing) mounted on a black anodized, milled and silk-screened aluminum terminal plate. Next Avantone added a 7mm thick neoprene pad embedded into the base of the cabinet to serve as a skid-resistant acoustic isolator. Additionally, for creative mounting situations, Avantone recessed an industry standard 5/8"-27 mic stand mount into the base.

The originals were a basic 5" stamped frame design. Avantone designed a proprietary 5.25" die cast aluminum frame driver/cone assembly to exceed the performance of the originals. The mounting bezel is then polished for an elegant appearance. The paper cone, chosen for its musical character, is custom designed & crafted using the finest New Zealand pulp with mica fibers added for lighter weight & rigidity. The cloth surround is made in Japan to exacting uniform thickness tolerances. The top plate and T-Yoke of driver are made of Sumitomo 1008 low carbon steel enabling the highest modeled flux density in the gap. The magnets are Y- 40 grade (MIL-spec) yielding a 43oz. High power-low distortion motor structure.

Avantone designed the amp module from the ground up to be a true professional-grade amplifier. It incorporates overkill concepts in component selection as well as safety. The result is a no-compromise amp with robust headroom characteristics that will rival the performance of much higher priced studio rack mount amps.

Designed for performance, the EuroDDL features external control of every feature and function. It also has been designed to sound less digital than the average delay. Eventide's old school design strictly limits the amount of digital circuitry to only what's required for delay. Soft saturation clipping, low pass filter, feedback, insert loop, and +20 dB boost are all analogue. Once you hear it, you'll know why this is the ultimate, most musical, Eurorack delay. To be a true performance instrument, all the controls of the Eurorack module must be remote controllable. The EuroDDL does just that with jacks to accept control voltages and triggers. Constellation is all about rhythm. It is an 8 channel pattern generator that works by combining multiple dense and sparse patterns to create long, complex and musically interesting trigger and gate rhythms. Constellation takes a "parametric" approach to rhythm - there is no explicit step sequencing on the module, rather the rhythms are defined by euclidean (and more) parameters that build the rhythm mathematically.

Constellation aims to evolve the concept of euclidean rhythms far beyond the useful but repetitive patterns we often think of when we hear the term "euclidean rhythm". This is accomplished by by combining up to 8 individual euclidean patterns of different lengths and density. Each pattern may provide only a small component of the final output, but together create immensely musical and varied rhythmic material over a very long time frame - up to 999 steps! If each of those steps are 1/16 note in length at 120 bpm, that's a full 2 minutes of explicitly defined, yet non repeating rhythmic material.

In addition, Constellation's parametric approach allows any of these parameters to be modulated with CV through one of 8 freely assignable CV inputs. CV modulation introduces further ability for Constellation's rhythmic output to vary over time. Paired with a Maestro or Navigators, hours of interesting morphing rhythms are possible without the need for tons of step programming or the uncontrollable chaos of a purely generative approach.

When writing music, rhythmic interest is often built through the combination of repeating and non repeating elements that work together to anchor the overall feel but also keep the ear free from boredom over the duration of the piece. Constellation provides a unique set of tools to accomplish this goal and achieve rhythms that are intentional, unexpected and exciting to use as the foundation of your compositions.

The MKII Moth record cleaning machine is based upon the well proven and accepted record cleaner that has been available from Moth for a number of years. The MKII version of the machine allows for bi-directional operation of the turntable in both the fluid application 'Wash' cycle and in the vacuum 'Drying' phase. The vacuum tube has been modified to allow for the new two way movement and to offer a more efficient vacuum system. A full size dark acrylic lid is fitted to the MKII Moth record cleaning machine. A version of the Moth RCM MKII will be made available in the very popular Kit form, complete in all parts with the exception of the enclosure. Plans are provided for the construction of the housing from 15mm plastic laminated construction board. The Moth Record Cleaning machine will continue to be made available in its original form in both built and in Kit versions. Upgrade kits are available to allow earlier versions of the Moth RCM to be modified to MKII specification. Moth are vinyl enthusiasts and have been importing specialist recordings and Hi-Fi equipment from around the world for some ten years.

As much as we love the LP format we know from experience that it is not without its problems: it was clicks, pops, hiss and static etc. that led us to investigate imported record cleaning machines for our own collections and professional use. The results were stunning. At last the LP format reached it's full potential, freeing itself from the unseen restraints of mould release agents and general grime. Basically, the Ekdahl Moisturizer is a spring reverb where the springs are exposed so they can be played/hit/fiddled with. As well as being capable of creating sound in itself, you can of course also play sound through the springs like a regular spring reverb - this makes for happy-fun-time finger-modulation of the reverb on whatever audio that's going through it. On top of this there's an analog multimode filter that can be used to attenuate or exaggerate certain frequencies in the sound, this is real handy while playing the springs as you can - for instance - cut all the highs and just make thunderous doomy sounds or do the opposite; cut all the lows and make that ear piercing high frequency special love. Also, it incorporates an LFO that's internally routable to the filter and that also has some external routing-stuff. The Ekdahl Moisturizer has tons of CV / Expression pedal options on the back for even more hillarious moments. The Moisturizer is a mono unit.

The Moisturizer was developed with the help of Jason Willett (Half Japanese, Leperchaun Catering), Martin Schmidt (Matmos, Instant Coffee), Joshua Atkins (Polygons, Major Powers), mom & dad and many more.

The preamp section is designed for a max of 10 times gain, this to accomodate for low level output instruments such as guitars etc. The reverb tank has normal reverb signal gain on it, meaning that if you hit the springs hard they'll distort like crap which is real nice, if you hit them softly the sound won't be distorted.

The filter in the Ekdahl Moisturizer is abrasive, the fact that it doesn't have any resonance limiting makes it possible to get the filter to sound *really* bubbly & metallic (way more then any filter i've ever heard), but it's also of course capable of sounding completely "normal" - it all depends on the amount of resonance and/or gain. The fact that you can seamlessly fade inbetween lowpass, bandpass or highpass filter (or lowpass+bandpass and highpass+bandpass) makes the unit pretty damn versatile and by using the wet/dry filter/no filter crossfader there's some neat shit that can be done too. Now it should be said that due to the fact that there's no resonance limiter, if using very high gain, with high resonance and turning the cutoff frequency very high the filter might cut out - not to worry, just turn the cutoff back a bit and the filter pops in again. This happens because the filter gets overloaded and can be avoided with a resonance limiter, however if i had one of those all the super-awesome bounce would be gone and it'd sound like all the other filter out there.

The Ekdahl moisturizer has six CV/Expression pedal related jacks on the back, one of them is a LFO output so you can control other shit with The Moisturizer's LFO. All the other jacks are inputs and takes either CV or Expression pedal, they are: Reverb Mixture, VCF Cutoff, VCF Filter Mode (LP/BP/HP), Filter Mixture and LFO Speed.

Notes: You mostly monitor on near-fields, but occasionally switch to big main speakers or a second set of near-fields. The string section starts with an oscillator bank using octave dividers, followed by a complex mixer, an equalizer and the ensemble effect, just like string machines from the 70's. A single registration knob sweeps through mixer and EQ settings for Violin, Viola, Cello, Brass, Organ, Choir and more for creating rich and creamy sonic textures.

The Solo section is a 16-voice synthesizer that complements the string sounds. A single Tone knob sweeps through many useful settings. Solo is the sidekick to the strings, but it is powerful enough to be the lead character every now and then.

The Vocoder replaces the equalizer in the string section with the filter bank that models the vocal tract from the speech input. This can produce quite intelligible speech or singing using the fully polyphonic oscillator bank. Formants can be modified, which can result in a perceived change of gender. Adjustable jitter of the string oscillators renders the voice hoarse, creaky or a complete whisper. Solo can pass through the Vocoder or play in parallel.

The Freeze button lets you freeze a short speech fragment, which is then repeated by the Vocoder whenever a key is pressed. Change of playback speed, like faster, backwards or a complete stop are possible and fun, as well as formant change.

A novel Tweak function allows for modification or modulation of details, like e.g. the solo cut-off frequency or the Chorus LFO rate. It is similar to a modulation matrix, but it also allows to alter implicit settings with a fixed value or an offset.

Three Effects operate simultaneously - Animate is in fact a modulation of the string or vocoder registration, while a Phaser is a must for any decent string machine. A high-quality Reverb with adjustable size can be mixed to the output.

Midi, Din, Modular & LFO:

Analog clock signals are configurable in polarity, start/reset behaviour and feature a flexible clock divider. An analog LFO is available with various waveforms and a range of 0-5V.
If you got them configured, channel settings can always be named and saved as a preset for later recall. Just in case you have a lot of gear.

USB Add-On
If you want, you can have your multiclock with an extra class-compliant USB Midi Add-On.
This enables you to send any MIDI commands from a DAW to your connected slaves while syncing to audio clock.

Notes: Wow. Oscillators don't come much more special than this. Two contrasting, fully independent VCOs with waveshaping and complex cross-modulations, plus the 'Thru Zero Trinity' of FM, phase and amplitude modulation. Beautiful.

Thru Zero Complex Oscillator

A new complex oscillator, featuring two independent VCO's. Both voices have a unique signal path and flavour. Complex cross modulations entangle them together, opening up completely new timbral territories.

Features include the Thru Zero trinity; Frequency, Phase and Amplitude modulation.

Each oscillator also has its own Low Pass Filter, which works great to mellow the harsher tones from complex intermodulations.

Each VCO has great tracking and temperature stability, there is no distinction between a carrier and modulator.

The FM bus lets you modulate the index of each individual voice, with linear and exponential inputs for external sources. There are also inputs for Sync in, with both soft and hard sync.

VCO 1

The left VCO signal chain starts with a shape function, that let's you morph between triangle and saw. This waveform is also available as a separate output.

Next is a sinusoidal wavefolder, which changes its response dramaticaly based on shape of the waveform. The circuit is based on a modified version of a design by Barrie Gilbert from 1977, popularized by Open-Music-Labs (used with permission).

This circuit also creates the possibility of Thru Zero Phase Modulation, here the depth is controlled with the third slider. The source is normaled to VCO 2, but external modulation sources can be patched in, and the depth can also be modulated with CV.

Lastly there's a 2-pole Low Pass Filter, before going out the MAIN output. All parameters can be CV controlled, and feature handy attenuators at the inputs.

VCO 2

The first slider is a continuous waveform shaper, that morphs from sine to tri to saw.

This waveform then enters the Thru Zero Amplitude Modulation (Ringmod) section. The slider sets the depth of modulation, with the source normalized to VCO 1. The depth can be CV controlled, and an external source can be patched as well. The result is also available on a separate output, pre wavefolder/filter (VCO 2 sine).

The third slider is a wavefolder, it's based around a novel wavefolding topology, with a unique and more aggressive sound compared to the sinusoidal folder of VCO 1.

The wavefolded signal goes into a 2 pole Low Pass Filter, and out of the MAIN output.

A serious trigger sequencer for generating complex, multi-layered rhythms. Eight channels of Euclidean pattern generation meet probability, modulation and CV control for real depth and power.

Constellation is all about rhythm. It is an 8 channel pattern generator that works by combining multiple dense and sparse patterns to create long, complex and musically interesting trigger and gate rhythms. Constellation takes a "parametric" approach to rhythm - there is no explicit step sequencing on the module, rather the rhythms are defined by euclidean (and more) parameters that build the rhythm mathematically.

Constellation aims to evolve the concept of euclidean rhythms far beyond the useful but repetitive patterns we often think of when we hear the term "euclidean rhythm". This is accomplished by by combining up to 8 individual euclidean patterns of different lengths and density. Each pattern may provide only a small component of the final output, but together create immensely musical and varied rhythmic material over a very long time frame - up to 999 steps! If each of those steps are 1/16 note in length at 120 bpm, that's a full 2 minutes of explicitly defined, yet non repeating rhythmic material.

In addition, Constellation's parametric approach allows any of these parameters to be modulated with CV through one of 8 freely assignable CV inputs. CV modulation introduces further ability for Constellation's rhythmic output to vary over time. Paired with a Maestro or Navigators, hours of interesting morphing rhythms are possible without the need for tons of step programming or the uncontrollable chaos of a purely generative approach.

When writing music, rhythmic interest is often built through the combination of repeating and non repeating elements that work together to anchor the overall feel but also keep the ear free from boredom over the duration of the piece. Constellation provides a unique set of tools to accomplish this goal and achieve rhythms that are intentional, unexpected and exciting to use as the foundation of your compositions.

This mixer is a guitarist's dream. Two of the 8 mono channels have high impedance jack inputs that can take a normal line level or a low level input from a guitar pickup, so guitars can be plugged straight into the mixer without the need for DI boxes. These inputs have been crafted to recreate the sound of a classic tube preamp in a combo or head amp for incredible definition and warmth. ZED60-14FX features a responsive 3-band, swept mid frequency EQ design which utilises MusiQ - with optimised slope (or Q factor) for equalising individual instruments.

ZED60-14FX has an essential selection of 16 time-delay effects, designed for small groups who don't want to carry around an effects unit with their gear but who still want great quality FX at their gigs and on their recordings. Our DSP engineers worked hard, crafting and refining beautiful reverb algorithms to enhance every performance. These effects are available nowhere else at this price point - this quality and integration is only available from the ZED-FX. ZED effects are easily controlled using 3 buttons with 9 display LEDs. For example, the ideal delay time can be quickly tapped-in, or the perfect amount of reverb on the lead vocal can be dialled-in. There is one-stop navigation and editing - in fact, it's just as easy as using effects pedals. To alter effects parameters, the TAP button is held down and the up/down buttons pressed to adjust the specific parameter for that effect, for example, the decay length on PLATE, or the depth on CHORUS.

ZED60-14FX's pre-amps are similar in design to our MixWizard range of mixers, but with a twist! Inputs 7 & 8 have a high impedance jack input capable of taking either a normal line level or a low level input from a guitar pickup. These newly designed inputs have been crafted with the aim of replicating the sound of a classic guitar or instrument tube pre-amp in a combo or head amp. An extremely high input impedance ensures loading on pick-ups is minimal and a Class A FET (field effect transistor) circuit powered from 48V is employed to give the valve-like gain stage. There is a gain "Boost" switch associated with the guitar inputs which boosts gain by 26dB to cater for instruments with very low level outputs and the overdrive characteristics of the guitar inputs are very similar to a valve (tube) circuit, being asymmetric and soft. All this makes for a wonderfully natural sound to be reproduced from the instrument, full of warmth and character.

Gorgeous retro-inspired synth. Heavily based on 70s string synthesisers and vocoders, updated in a modern format. Proper lush vibes.

Supplier's notes:
The string section starts with an oscillator bank using octave dividers, followed by a complex mixer, an equalizer and the ensemble effect, just like string machines from the 70's. A single registration knob sweeps through mixer and EQ settings for Violin, Viola, Cello, Brass, Organ, Choir and more for creating rich and creamy sonic textures.

The Solo section is a 16-voice synthesizer that complements the string sounds. A single Tone knob sweeps through many useful settings. Solo is the sidekick to the strings, but it is powerful enough to be the lead character every now and then.

The Vocoder replaces the equalizer in the string section with the filter bank that models the vocal tract from the speech input. This can produce quite intelligible speech or singing using the fully polyphonic oscillator bank. Formants can be modified, which can result in a perceived change of gender. Adjustable jitter of the string oscillators renders the voice hoarse, creaky or a complete whisper. Solo can pass through the Vocoder or play in parallel.

The Freeze button lets you freeze a short speech fragment, which is then repeated by the Vocoder whenever a key is pressed. Change of playback speed, like faster, backwards or a complete stop are possible and fun, as well as formant change.

A novel Tweak function allows for modification or modulation of details, like e.g. the solo cut-off frequency or the Chorus LFO rate. It is similar to a modulation matrix, but it also allows to alter implicit settings with a fixed value or an offset.

Three Effects operate simultaneously - Animate is in fact a modulation of the string or vocoder registration, while a Phaser is a must for any decent string machine. A high-quality Reverb with adjustable size can be mixed to the output.

STVC comes with a high-quality gooseneck microphone that plugs right into the front panel where it belongs.
