Review: strictly strictly is a label by Berlin based producer Rwin. His next thrasher comes from the mysterious DNAbyDNA (Heteroerotic Asphyxiation/Oiwa) who serves up some electrifying breakbeat techno (influenced by early '90s rave) on the hyperaware "The//Grind" or the frantic strobe-lit acid of "Don't Move"on the B side. We personally enjoyed the restrained fury of "Haifa" most of all. The electro-bass killer had us reminiscing on the glory days of the Miami scene when legends like Dynamix II and Exzakt were in their prime.
Review: Arno E Mathieu has been a part of the enlarged house movement since 2005. Yes, that's 12 years in service, which means that he's kind of a veteran by now. This, however, is no surprise; the producer's work is carefully crafted and, whether he's making progressive or tech, he has a clear ability to catch the dancer's attention with some pretty seductive grooves. He's back on his favoured Clima label after a few years dipping and diving into other imprints, but it's like he's never been away. "Circumstances Of Chaos" is a wide-eyed, big-room kind of tune that stabs its large drums to a raucous tempo, while "7 Janvier 2015" breaks the predictable 4/4 groove into a sparse nu-jazz sort of lick for the deeper ends of the DJ set, and "Together?" ties the EP off to a close with the help of a steely house structure accompanied by warm waves of dubbiness . A magnetic outing from this reliable producer.
Review: Automatik-Datamatik is a label based in western Germany and founded in 2008 by Adalbert C. Kupietz. He would like to present you with this release, which is a tribute to his late father Leszek J. Kupietz. He was passionate drummer in the 70s/80s and is said to have toured intensively with his band all over the world. Although they never had the opportunity to collaborate directly, Adalbert had access to some of his recorded drum skills on this record. Electronically packed with analog synths accompanied by Leszek's Sonor drums. Used extensively on the album were PPG Wave 2.2, Fender Rhodes, Rhodes CHROMA, Hohner Clavinet, Yamaha CS-50VP-330 diverse ARPs, Korg and Roland Synths.
Review: To date, Rimini's Duca Bianco has put out just two 7"s, by Cherrystones and Tom Bolas specifically. Now the label widens the net with a various artists 12" that features four disco-not-disco burners for adventurous party people to shake down to like they're in 1980s New York. S&C present "Drug Of A Nation,", a raw, funky garage rock jam embellished with wild synth parts. Tom Bolas brings things to a more Afrodisco flavoured peak with a cheeky famous funk lick and killer robo vocoder. Hanoben / ADSX take things in an Italo direction with 'Dreifaltigkeit" with some incredible vocals to boot. Schmoltz sets things adrift in supreme Balearic style on "Starnight."
1 x tour cap, 3/4" OD black for 1/4" shaft CTS style pots
Notes: THE FUGGEDABOUDIT TOUR CAP is for those knobs that RARELY need adjustment. The TOUR CAP hides your signature settings as there is no set line and replaces your existing knob and retaining nut. Set your pot to desired setting and screw TOUR CAP on and FUGGEDABOUDIT!
If you need to change settings just unscrew easily by hand, readjust potentiometer and screw TOUR CAP back on. IT DOESN'T GET MUCH EASIER THAN THAT!
Works great in conjunction with THE LOKNOB so mix them up to fit your needs!
Review: Brawther returns to one of the stand out tracks from last year's "Transient States" LP and hands it over to a couple of more-than-capable remixers. "Jaxx Freaxx" becomes an irresistibly funky bumper in the hands of Fumiya Tanaka, whose "My Jaxx" version sounds like it would be right at home in the midst of a lengthy Panorama Bar session. Zweizig follows up on his recent "Rhythm Tension" 12" for Negentropy with a sublime, subtle twist on "Jaxx Freaxx" that matches swinging micro house with dubby FX ripples that sound like they were deployed with the after party in mind.
Review: Seven Davis Jr continues exploring his sound via his own Secret Angels label, unfettered by external input and able to present his creative vision as he sees fit. He's in club mode on this second instalment of his "Sev Was Here" series, but this time round it's not quite as edgy as its predecessor. Davis Jr's vocals are out front, dealing with matters of the heart over those crucial, distinctive deep house bumps. "Your Lover" is a snappy, sexy number that works around an addictive, looped up hook, while "Rollercoaster" takes things a little more jacking. "Birds & Bee's" keeps the percussive pressure up, before the husky vocals come back in full force on killer closer "Cupid."
