Sidechainer effects pedal with Igor & kick drum mic
Notes: This is a sidechainer pedal, an effect that ducks your guitar signal each time it gets a trigger - capable of putting deep spaces into your sound! It's an effect that's heard on many recordings, often subtly - like when a rock rhythm guitar is sidechained with the kick drum, so every time the kick drum hits, the guitar volume dips slightly for that instant - giving a really powerful overall effect... The guitar sounds pumping, or spring-loaded! Or it's sometimes used strongly, to make the signal completely disappear with each kick drum, as in big 4-on-the-floor club tunes.

Whatever way you use it, this effect has NEVER been so easily available - and controllable - as with the Deep Space Pulsar! (Up to now, it's always been an effect that's added in post-production - hardly ever live).

It comes with a microphone; put it inside your drummer's kick drum, plug it into the top end panel of the pedal and you're ready to go! The pedal sits there waiting for the drummer to play....

The 'Dip' knob adjusts the amount of dip to the signal, 'Rel' controls the speed of the release; how quickly the sound rises back up, and 'Vol' is the volume - the pedal can go quite loud, more than compensating for any loss in overall level due to all the ducking. The LED display gives a visual indication of the amount and length of ducking.

TAP TEMPO:

However, when instead you plug in the Igor pressure pad controller, the Deep Space Pulsar has tap tempo - a fully correctable facility - enabling it to work if you're playing along to a DJ or drum machine. Two presses of the Igor programs a tempo (the 'record' LED coming on to show that the tempo is being recorded and it's waiting for the second press), and at any point that tempo can be adjusted to bring it back into sync with the music, enabling the pulsing to stay in time for long periods. Pressing on the Igor erases the tempo, for you to start again at a different tempo.

PUSH-BUTTON SWITCHES:

There's a 'Pad' button to alter the sensitivity of the microphone, and also an 'Inv' button to invert the whole effect; no sound is heard until the kick drum (or tap tempo) hits, when a pulse of signal is let through - introducing whole new kinds of sounds!

This is a revolutionary effect, designed specifically for those that play with other people - whether in bands, clubs or studios.

Quadrature sine wave VCO/state variable filter - 18HP
Notes: The SPIN section is a quadrature sine wave oscillator. The GRIND section compares each phase against the input signal, then subtracts the resulting square waves from the input signal. If the spin section is either damped enough or enough signal is fed into it from the GRIND section then it will stop oscillating and become a state variable filter.

The Angle Grinder tracks volts per octave and can be used as a sine wave oscillator with voltage control over harmonic content available at the GRIND OUT. With no input it's four phase related sine outputs (0, 90, 180, and 27 degrees) remain clean from 0.1Hz to over 20kHz and are suitable for quad panning or XY applications.

With an input signal applied the GRIND out ranges from quadrature pulse width modulation (at LFO rate) to sync-like metallic tones (at audio rate). When GRIND is fed into the SPIN then it becomes a nonlinear feedback network with the faders and corresponding CV inputs providing instinctive control over phase cancellation, oscillation, and distortion. The four phase related outputs will become low pass, band pass, high pass, and inverted band pass filter outputs.

The function of the Angle Grinder depends on both the position of the knobs and the presence of an input signal.

Low pass filter, VCA & distortion with brass touchpoints - 14HP
Notes: The 100 Grit is a touch-controlled distortion unit inspired by the output section of a vintage synthesizer. Sonically it can range from subtle tone shaping to complete sonic obliteration depending on the positions of the knobs and output chosen
.
The 100 Grit consists of a low pass filter, VCA, and distortion section with 8 touch points, voltage control overdrive, resonance, and frequency, along with a plethora of feedback paths allowing it to operate as a hands-on performance instrument with or without any input.

The touchpoints enable touch-controlled resistive patching between the cv points (gain, frequency, and resonance), sensitive points in the distortion circuit, and different distortion outputs for a mix of touch-controlled audio rate modulation and crackle box-like noise freakouts.

The low pass filter is a 24dB self-oscillating transistor ladder type with a jumper selectable resonance compensation scheme allowing more bass and volume at higher resonance settings.

The VCA is an OTA based circuit, which when pushed past 75% will impart a soft distortion characteristic, turning a triangle wave into a sine before being finally driven into a square wave close to max. If the levels are kept lower it is a reasonably clean vintage-style output section.

The distortion circuit is driven by the VCA, allowing for a voltage controlled gain amount and goes from heavy to extreme, especially when the x100 gain switch is engaged or the various self-modulation/feedback paths are utilized. The circuit is loosely based on a headphone amplifier circuit cranked into instability and self-oscillation.

Each Audio and CV input is normalized to a different feedback path, allowing for wild, self-oscillating distortions and extensive tone control with no external CV applied, or full control from external sources.

Source module with four combinations of low-pass filters and/or VCAs
Notes: SPUTNIK QUAD VCF/VCA is a Quad Low-pass Gate and each of the four independent gates have a selectable switch for VCF, COMBO and VCA . CV input varies the gain from -120dB to +3dB gain. The control knobs for each will also determine levels and cut-off frequencies. Outputs include individual outputs, "ALL" (all outputs summed for voltage controlled mixing), "ODD" (1+3 outputs summed) and "EVEN" (2+4 outputs summed).

The module is a four-fold combination of low-pass filters and/or VCAs. Its functions are extended by three different mix outputs.

A channel can be used as a low pass filter, as VCA or as a combination of both functions. Latter corresponds to the behaviour of acoustic instruments, where increase in volume changes the harmonic spectrum. The CV input controls the gain in a range of -120dB to +3dB. In addition to the channels' direct outputs the module contains mix outputs. ALL provides you with the mix of all four channels, ODD with the mix of channels 1+3, EVEN mixes channels 2+4.

Connectors:
- Per VCF/VCA channel: signal input, CV input, individual output
- Mix outputs for all channels, odd channels and even channels

B-STOCK: Refurbished item without original box.
Notes: ***B-STOCK: Refurbished item without original box.***

Next-generation monophonic analog synthesizer in a vivid five-colour line-up:
Fully programmable, analog synthesis for all players; monologue is the next-generation monophonic synthesizer that shares the spirit of the acclaimed minilogue, with a completely new voice and powerful new features.

The monologue is a 25-key, fully programmable monophonic analog synthesizer with a voice all its own. While sharing its sleek layout, knob-per-function workflow and high-quality construction with the best-selling minilogue, monologue is a truly unique new synth for all types of musicians; featuring new voicing and sound sculpting abilities - at an amazing price. The monologue's completely new filter, modulation, drive, and LFO can generate powerful basses and sharp leads, creating awesome mono sounds that showcase its single-voice design. The step sequencer has also been dramatically expanded, allowing more intuitive and more complex editing. With a line-up that gives you a choice of five eye-catching colours, this compact instrument has a strong personality to match your own.

Redesigned monophonic analog circuitry:
The monologue contains monophonic analog synthesizer circuitry that builds on the circuitry of the minilogue. But that doesn't mean that the monologue is simply a one-voice model of the minilogue. It's a monophonic beast with stunning power that comes from a redesigned envelope section, modulation routing, and a filter with powerful low-end punch.

The structure is 2VCO, 1VCF, 1EG, 1VCA, and 1LFO. In addition to the same distinctive circuits as on the minilogue (such as the wave shaping that shapes the overtones of the oscillator, and a sync/ring switch), the filter section uses a two-pole filter to deliver aggressive sound. Newly featured is a drive circuit that adds overtones and distortion to the sound, letting you generate fat basses and sharp lead sounds to your heart's content. The LFO rate can be adjusted into an unprecedentedly ultra-high-speed range to generate crazy space-shattering sounds, or switched to one-shot mode to act, in a sense, as an additional envelope.

Fully programmable:
The monologue goes beyond analog synths in its price range by adding 100 preset locations. Select a program for instant access to great sounds - - ranging from thick basses to deep subs to brilliant cutting leads and even percussive sequences. No need to have deep synthesis knowledge; just choose a sound and tweak - a workflow that is very familiar with musicians today. Built-in programs provide 80 preset sounds and sequences made by creative artists around the world including legendary electronic artist Aphex Twin, plus 20 user locations for saving custom sounds.

16-step sequencer for highly-evolved motion sequences:
The step sequencer of the monologue has been significantly enhanced to deliver musical, complex rhythms that are easy to capture, see, and edit. It supports both real-time recording with overdubbing capability as well as step recording that lets you record simply by pressing keys in the desired order, and you can also use the 16 physical buttons for quick editing or for improvisatory performance. The motion sequence function lets you record up to four knob movements to apply time-varying change to the sound, and allows you to record not only continuously changing values as on previous models, but also values with step-wise variation. Since it's designed to let you create different sounds at each step, you can make unprecedented sequences, such as a sequence that generates a drum pattern from a single program.

There's also a key trigger function that lets you play back a sequence while you hold down a key, and even transpose it. Another new function is slide, which can be used to produce smooth bass lines by specifying portamento for each step.

Battery-powered analog:
From smooth curves to muscular straight lines. The stylish visuals featuring aluminium and wood are inherited directly from the minilogue, but have been modified to a straight, direct design that bespeaks the power of a monophonic instrument. In spite of its stout construction, the compact and light-weight body is only 1.7 kg / 3.78 lbs., providing an unprecedented combination of toughness and portability.

In addition, unlike most analog synthesizers in its class, the monologue can operate on batteries. Even if you're a hardware performer who uses numerous units, you won't need to worry about providing additional power supplies and installation space.

Sync with Audio Sync:
In addition to 5-pin In/Out and USB MIDI, monologue includes Audio Sync connectivity, which allows it to play in time and integrate seamlessly with KORG volcas, electribes, minilogue and SQ-1. Use the monologue with your DAW as a USB MIDI controller or a versatile analog voice. Send clock over USB and use Audio Sync to chain monologue's clock to other Audio Sync-equipped products.

Analog synthesiser with all-new synthesis structure optimized for monophonic sounds & sequences - red
Notes: Next-generation monophonic analog synthesizer in a vivid five-colour line-up:

Notes: The ultimate drum sound, anytime and anywhere! Numerous rhythm patterns built into a practical interface! The new KR-55 Pro is a multi-function rhythm machine that's also equipped with mixer/recorder functionality.

Experience the same musical support as if a pro drummer were sitting in on your session. The KR-55 Pro gives you an easy way to enjoy jam sessions with the backing of real drum/percussion sounds. It provides a rich variety of input jacks, mixer functionality, effects, and equalizer, as well as a versatile recorder that can record to an SD card. The intuitive interface means that there's no need for complex programming. Battery-powered operation allows complete mobility from desktop to street performances, or use in a variety of situations including live events in small spaces.

Drum/percussion sound that overturns your concept of a rhythm machine:

The KR-55 Pro features "Real Groove Technology" which uses data recorded from actual professional musicians performing at various tempi, and is a completely different technology than conventional rhythm machines. There is a total of 24 high-quality rhythm styles, each fine-tuned to provide the best possible feel, to accurately reproduce the experience of playing with a percussionist. The sounds, grooves, and phrases will play back at pristine quality even if you change the tempo, so you can enjoy playing serious jam sessions at your own pace.

Use the chain function to easily create sophisticated rhythm tracks:

Each rhythm style includes a wide variety of patterns: two variations in addition to basic, fill-in 1, and fill-in 2. This means that the KR-55 Pro can provide the accompaniment for an entire song. By using the chain function, which lets you put together and memorize a different rhythm style for each measure, you can freely create even complex rhythm tracks. Up to 30 banks of chains can be stored, and each chain can be up to 999 measures long.

A rich array of input jacks and full-fledged mixer functionality:

The KR-55 Pro provides a rich array of input jacks that accommodate a variety of instruments: a guitar or bass can be connected to INPUT 1/2, and the XLR jack accepts a mic input. You can let the KR-55 Pro take care of the rhythm, and enjoy a full-band performance with guitar, bass, and vocals. A reverb effect can be applied to each input source, and TREBLE and BASS equalizer are also provided so that you can shape your sound in detail. The AUX INPUT supports stereo, and can be connected to a digital audio player, a keyboard, or an effect unit that's equipped with stereo output. Together, they allow you to use up to four channels.

Versatile recording functionality that supports multi-track recording:

In addition to built-in rhythm styles, the KR-55 Pro is equipped with a versatile recorder function that can record a variety of input sources. You can record your own performances along with the built-in rhythm styles, a favourite song, or karaoke tracks that you created on your DAW. The recorded data can be exported as a WAV file to an SD card, so the KR-55 Pro is all you need to create widely-usable tracks. You can also multitrack-record your guitar and bass to produce more complex tracks. Also provided are editing functions such as undo/redo and punch-in, and you can also place markers at the desired location of the recorded data, and overdub while looping the playback.

Player function can play back audio files from an SD card:

The KR-55 Pro is equipped with an audio player function that can play back audio files (wav) from an SD card. You can take advantage of Acoustage and use this unit as a high-quality listening system, or prepare backing tracks for you to play along with. There's also a playlist function (10 banks) that lets you manage the file playback order of up to 24 songs, so you can play back songs in a desired order for your live performance. In addition, the playback speed can be adjusted in the range of -25% to +25%, and you can also make files play repeatedly or automatically in succession. Whether you're practicing at home or performing in front of an audience, the KR-55 Pro is packed with functions that will be useful in various situations.

Tuner and metronome functions with a large and easily readable meter:

A tuner with the high precision that you expect from KORG is built in. When you turn this function on, the rhythm style buttons become a tuning meter, allowing you to tune with a large and easily visible meter. You can also tune while listening to a guitar, bass, or piano guide tone, or sound a metronome for convenient practicing.

Digital processor with high precision analog CV circuitry
Notes: QuantiZer is a creative melody composing module that uses cutting edge analog electronics and DSP to tune analog VCOs precisely into Western musical scales. The front panel is packed with functions that makes it very playable and intuitive to use, with a layout that moves forward from the typical quantizer design. At its centre is a slider that can be set to play notes, add Portamento to an incoming sequence, transpose a sequence with in an octave range or transpose a sequence within 5 octave range. The 12 note keyboard can be set to play notes manually, add and subtract notes from scales, transpose a sequence as well as setup a variety of settings that define the quantizer behaviour and sync with other modules.

Major and Minor keys are both built in to let you switch scales in a very playable way, making it pretty easy to explore musical progression. There are also 24 user scales ready to be filled up with your own custom scales. A built in sketch pad records and plays back keys entered manually on the keyboard and slider in sync with external clock and reset signal, or Tiptop's SyncBus which chains the QuantiZer recording function to the Circadian Rhythms time line for precise recording and playback. Scale CV in can be set to switch between changing scales or transposing pitches using CV from sequencers. Quantization can be set for free run or Trigger mode for even more interesting ways to interact with external sequencers.

Quantizer sets a new performance standard for Eurorack that offers incredibly stable CV quantization minimizing glitches on input, utilizes high precision temperature compensated 1V/Oct CV generation on output and features stunning conversion latency of less than half a millisecond. QuantiZer can be set to process a wide variety of CV voltage input ranges, +/-5V CV from LFOs, bi-polar envelopes and such, or 0-10V / 0-5V standard CV from sequencers. Continuing the tradition of advanced Tiptop digital modules, the QuantiZer Firmware running the digital brain is upgradeable via a USB thumb drive interface at its back allowing for continuous improvement and fine tuning of function and stability over time.

4 track gate & trigger sequencer - 8HP
Notes: Steppy is a 4-track programmable gate sequencer with eight internal memory slots, external clocking, numerous tweakable parameters, and a performance-first design aesthetic.

Each track features numerous independent parameters that govern its playback independently of the other tracks. Specifically:

- Each track has its own length, which can range from 1-step to 64-steps, allowing for polyrhythms, fills, or constantly evolving gate interactions between tracks.
- Each track has its own gate length, which ranges from very short to very long, with tied gates possible at the extreme setting.
- Each track has its own clock divider, allowing patterns to play out over completely different periods of time.
- Each track has its own swing setting, which offsets the timing of every other step.
- Each track has its own delay setting, which offsets the timing of every step.
- Each track has its own probability control, which sets the likelihood that each programmed gate will fire when called upon by the pattern.
- Each track can be shifted (or 'rotated') forward or backward by a number of steps. So if you've created a pattern that 'feels' like it has its downbeat on step 3, you can shift that pattern two steps to the left, so that the downbeat sits on step 1.

Tracks can be programmed by entering active steps on the grid or tapped in live as the sequence is moving. Tracks can be selected and modified in real time as the sequence plays. A select button allows you to directly access each track (and each page of 16 steps within that track) directly through Steppy's intuitive multifunction buttons array.

Tracks can be individually muted and unmuted, and a special performance mode (called "Loopy") enables you to touch any two gate steps and instantly create a performance that loops between those steps.

Track patterns can be cleared without clearing its playback parameters, and all track patterns (along with their individual playback and performance parameters) can be saved as a preset to one of eight internal memory slots.

Scales is an 8hp dual-channel note quantizer and step sequencer. Fundamentally, it takes an input voltage, quantizes it to notes in a user-defined scale, and sends that quantized voltage to an output, where you can use it as a melodic pitch source for oscillators or any other module that expects to see discreet note values at its input.

Scales goes far beyond the fundamental, allowing you unprecedented control of the pitches and intervals hiding inside your control voltages; turn LFO's into arpeggiators; random voltages into harmonic counterpoint; and unquantized external CV sequencers into chromatically tuned note sequencers.

Quantization can be locked to an incoming trigger. There are a number of trigger output options as well, ranging from no triggering (good for pitch shifting drones); through triggers that sync with either of the two outputs (or both); to a trigger or gate transmitted in sync with one sent to the module's TRIG input.

Shift:

Scales features two independent outputs, enabling you to create shifted harmonic intervals within your chosen scale using only a single pitch input. Using the SHIFT input you can modulate changes on OUT A and/or OUT B.

You can also use the shift input to switch between scales or to change the root of any existing scale pattern or split Scales into two quantizers - each conforming to a common scale, but fed entirely different voltage sources.

Sequence:

Scales also features a 128-step SH-101 style step sequencer (complete with storage for up to 35 fully programmable patterns) - allowing you to feed OUT B with sequenced notes and rhythm patterns, while OUT A continues to function as a standard pitch quantizer for external voltages. You can even sync the sequencer to quantizer events on OUT A.

Versatile Multimode VCF + Phaser synth module in Eurorack format - 10HP wide
Notes: The Polaris is a 4-stage cascaded OTA filter designed by David Dixon. It builds on the lineage of the Dr. Octature and Atlantis filters, but with a totally revised core and resonance control. Along with dedicated LP, HP and BP outputs it features a configurable MULTI output capable of an unprecedented 27 different filter modes.

With drive turned down the Polaris is capable of buttery smooth filtering, and the cutoff control range has been fine-tuned for playability. With the drive dialled up and the new asymmetric multi distortion circuit engaged it creates a more aggressive sound. Not content to be just a filter, the Polaris's AP phaser mode combined with frequency modulation can be used to achieve a phaser effect.

With so much versatility in a modest size, the Polaris is an ideal filter for a starter system and an excellent addition to the tonal palette of a larger modular.

Marbles is a source of random gates and voltages, which offers an extensive amount of (voltage) control on all the different flavours of randomness it produces.

The module gives the musician many different ways of imposing structure on the random events generated by the module: synchronization to external clocks, control of the repetition or novelty of the generated material, quantization of the voltages, or randomization of gates or voltages generated by traditional sequencers.

T: The random gate generator

Marbles either follows its own internal clock, or locks onto an adjustable multiplication/division of an external clock (or regular rhythmic pattern). This regular clock is perturbed by a process simulating an musician playing along a click and trying to catch up on their errors - from perfect accuracy to complete chaos.

From this imperfect master clock, a 2-channel random rhythm is generated, using one of the following processes: random coin toss (similar to Branches), random ratcheting, or random drum pattern generation (similar to a randomly modulated Grids).

X: The random voltage generator

This generator produces 3 channels of random voltages, each of them clocked by the individual outputs of the t section, or by a common external clock signal.

Complete control on the distribution of the output voltages is provided: concentrated or spread-out, quantized or unquantized, smoothed or steppy, centred or biased towards a specific voltage. The same transformations can be performed on an external CV, for sample-and-hold or shift-register operation.

An auxiliary slowly fluctuating random voltage output (Y) is also available for self-patching fun!

A feeling of deja-vu:

Marbles remembers the history of every recent clock deviation, rhythm or voltage it has generated. The DEJA VU knob on the panel controls the probability of reusing past material instead of sampling fresh random data.

You are thus given control on the feeling of repetition and structure in the generated random voltages and rhythms. At the extreme, the module no longer generates any novel values and loops over the same pattern (or a random permutation of it). And of course, this (variably) random looping can be performed on external CVs!

High-resolution audio, one-touch Scene memory, and Hybrid Limiting ensure great sounding recordings no matter what the situation. And wireless listening and remote control mean you can record with less wires in more places.

Beyond the Smartphone:

While a smartphone can cover some basic recording situations, for reliable and professional results you really need a dedicated recorder. But a lot of recorders are bulky, complicated, and require an array of wires and adapters. The R-07 is simple and intuitive, goes anywhere, and provides mission-critical recording functions leaving your phone free to do what it does best.

Beauty and Brains:

The R-07 looks great, sounds superb, and fits comfortably in your hand or your pocket. It's easy to use yet provides truly professional results with one-touch recording setup. Its next-generation Bluetooth capabilities mean you can control, monitor and listen back wirelessly using supported smartphones, smartwatches and Bluetooth speakers. It comes in three stylish colours and runs on two AA batteries or USB bus power.

Set the Scene:

A recorder as compact and go-anywhere as the R-07 could end up in a lot of different recording situations. Whether it's on-location interviews, on-the-road demos, classrooms, boardrooms, field recording, or just about anything else you can imagine, the R-07 can automatically apply the ideal settings. When you select a Scene, the sample rate, record mode, limiter, low cut, and input level instantly adjust to their optimal settings. And you can alter any of the settings and save them for next time, so you'll never miss that magic moment.

Designed for a Wireless World:

The R-07 uses the latest Bluetooth technology with Qualcomm aptX for enhanced streaming performance. Remote control from your smartphone or from supported smartwatches. Manage recordings and ensure what's being recorded is exactly what you want, even while the R-07 is in its prime recording location, and out of reach. Listen on wireless headphones or Bluetooth speakers - all while cutting cable clutter and staying out of the way of your recording subjects.

Safe and Sound:

With Dual Recording and Hybrid Limiting, you'll never ruin a vital recording due to overload or clipping. And you won't have to worry about artefacts from aggressive limiting either. The R-07 can make two simultaneous recordings - one at full level and another at a lower level with increased headroom. If there's unexpected clipping in the main recording, you can replace that section with a portion of the lower-level backup recording. Hybrid Limiting can even handle this automatically, so you get all the safety of limiting with none of the downsides.

Packed with mixable waveforms, a new sub oscillator design, the famous Steiner-Parker multimode filter, super-fast envelope, syncable LFO and the new step sequencer, not to mention the patchable mod matrix the MicroBrute is a landmark new synth at an incredible price.

The MicroBrute is new but carries the award-winning heritage of its big brother, the MiniBrute.

The MicroBrute was designed to be small but still retain an amazing sound quality. With a 100% pure analogue voice path and advanced interconnectivity via MIDI, USB, CV/GATE, this machine is a true powerhouse synthesizer that takes your sound to a new level.

A synthesizer is a musical instrument that is meant to be played. However, playing a synthesizer is more than just playing some notes on a keyboard and recalling someone else's presets. If that was the goal you could be looking at accordions or going to a department store to buy your keyboard (along with socks, milk and toilet paper) - but you aren't because you are more creative than that.

No presets, no menus, nothing to get between you and the ability to sculpt your sound live. Not only does MicroBrute give you the means to create, perform and be completely original every time you power up, it does so with astounding sound quality.

Professional 3 +1 channel DJ mixer with iPad split connection and integrated instant sound colour effects
Notes: The Reloop RMX-33i is a 3+1 channel DJ mixer with digital audio architecture and integrated Instant Sound Colour effects. This compact club-style mixer benefits from the same high-quality build and sound characteristics that are already found on the flagship RMX-80 Digital mixer.

An iPad split input on the rear of the mixer makes it possible to include an iPad, Android tablet or smartphone directly into your DJ set-up via 3.5 mm jack to the RMX-33i.

The supplied iPad split cable can divide the audio signal into two separate mono channels or delivers one stereo output.

This connection method means DJ apps with split-cue function (like DJAY by Algoriddim) can be utlisied, as can the stereo output from production or sampler apps.

The RMX-33i has four high-quality digital Sound Colour effects built-in. White noise, Filter (low and high-pass), Bit Crusher and Gate can be assigned to the dedicated Instant FX potentiometers at the push of a button. The effects can be used for any channel and are modulated via a large, ergonomic bi-polar potentiometer to achieve exactly the sound you want.

The instantly recognisable mixer layout has a three-band EQ section that can be easily set to 'Kill' (isolator mode) or 'Classic', to suit any individual mixing style.

The line- and cross-fader curves are adjustable on the mixer surface, so smooth mixes and hard cuts can be carried out quickly and changed mid-routine. In addition to curve adjustment, the cross-fader and line-faders can be set to auto-start or crossover-reverse to suit the needs of your performance.

With a total of ten inputs and five outputs, you will always find the right connection for any analogue or digital source. The output section benefits from both RCA and XLR outputs for trouble-free connection of the master signal to any PA system.

Review: Jeff Mills, the legendary Detroit techno pioneer who has been praised and worshipped by everyone club kid over the age of 18 since the late 80s, has focussed his efforts more on the classical side of music in more recent years. His gigs at the Barbican over the last few years, for example, are the shows to which he's dedicated most of his attention to, and it somehow all makes perfect sense. Although legendary tunes like "The Bells" or "Amazon" are straight-up dance floor bombs, there has always been a feeling that Mills' tunes were composed of something more than mere kick drums and monophonic instruments. This new album, Planets, sees the artist showcase the role of science fiction and of an imagined order prominently, something he's always been fascinated with. The likes of "Mercury", "Venus", "Earth" and the rest of the cosmos make more sense here than they do in the academic books; much like the great Sun Ra, it's almost as if these artists have found a simpler, more instinctive way to transmit the power of the universe. And that's through sound. The price might seem hefty, but this will be regarded as a very important release in the future. A fantastic journey through space and time.

Four voltage controlled LFO's/ VCO's with triangle & rectangle outputs in one single module - 22HP
Notes: Module A-143-4 is a fourfold voltage controlled low frequency oscillator (LFO). As the frequency range includes moderate audio frequencies it can be used as a four-fold VCO too.

- Four independent VCLFOs/VCOs with triangle core
- Frequency range switches: low (bottom position) = LFO mode, high (top position) = VCO mode
- Two frequency control CV inputs for each unit
- CV1 without attenuator (~ 1V/oct)
- CV2 with attenuator
- Manual frequency control
- Internal jumpers for the frequency range of the manual frequency controls:
- Jumper not installed: ~ +/- 1 octave range (mainly for VCO applications)
- Jumper installed: ~ +/- 5 octaves range (mainly for VCLFO applications)
- Sync inputs: Combined Reset/Direction inputs for unit #1 - #3 / Separate Reset and Direction inputs for unit #4 (normalled sockets, i.e. Reset is connected to Direction if the Direction socket is unused) / Up/both/down direction switch for unit #4, for technical details concerning the Reset and Direction function please refer to the sketch below
- Triangle and rectangle outputs for each unit
- Typ. output voltage range -5V ... +5V for both outputs (i.e. about 10 Vpp, symmetrical with reference to 0 V)
- Red/yellow LED displays for the triangle outputs (red = negative output voltage, yellow = positive output voltage)
- Common control section with two CV inputs and manual control (these inputs and controls affect the frequency of all four units)
- Sum outputs for triangle and rectangle with red/yellow LED displays
- Optional ultra-low frequency mode: for this a negative voltage can be applied via a jumper internally to the CV2 input of each unit and the common section (i.e. a negative voltage is normalled to the socket CV2 in question). Then the CV2 - - Attenuator control works as a negative frequency control (i.e. turning up this control lowers the frequency). Herewith LFO periods up to about one hour (or even more) are possible.
- Optional CV bus access via jumper (i.e. the module can pick up the CV from the A-100 bus, e.g. generated by a Midi/CV or USB/CV interface A-190-x or a bus access module A-185-1/2), if the jumper is installed the bus CV affects all four units as the bus CV is added to the CV generated by the common control section
- Typ. frequency range: < 0.001 Hz (~ one hour, LFO mode with ultra-low option) ... 15 kHz (VCO mode with installed frequency range jumpers for the manual frequency controls)
- Heat-up time: ~ 15 minutes (required to heat-up the main circuit by the affixed oven)

The module was planned mainly as a quad VCLFO. But we added a range switch (nothing but a switch for two different capacitors) so that even audio frequencies are possible and the module can be used as VCO with some restrictions too. Because of the closeness of the main circuitry (i.e. four VCO cores within less ~ 1 square millimetre) the oscillators may lock if the frequencies are very close to each other and the VCO frequencies interact marginally. If a high quality quad VCO is required the A-111-4 is recommended as this module has four separate VCO circuits available.

The reset circuitry is optimized for the LFO mode. As it takes some time to discharge the oscillator capacitor the discharge time had to be chosen so that the capacitor is fully discharged in LFO mode. In the high range (where a much smaller capacitor is used) this will cause a zero state duration in the 0.3 ms range if the oscillator is synced (during this time the capacitor is shortened for discharge).
The control scale of the inputs "CV1" is about 1V/octave. To improve the behaviour in the VCO mode a tempco circuit is used to keep the temperature of the exponential converter at a fixed temperature (similar to the tempco option of the DIY SYNTH). That way the frequency of the VCOs (and even the VCLFOs) is nearly independent from the environment temperature. But the accuracy (1V/octave scale and temperature compensation) is not as precise as for the dedicated VCOs A-110 and A-111-1.
