Notes: Pluck is a physical modelling synth voice. It uses the Karplus-Strong algorithm to create plucked string sounds. The dampening control sets the size of the string and allows for dramatic timbral shifts.

The decay control changes note length from percussive transients to infinite harp sounds. In addition, four voice polyphony provides complex layered tones; all from a single sound source.

Notes: Clep Diaz is a handy and small step CV and LFO generator. In step and random modes, use the encoder to control the number of steps in the sequence; in LFO mode, the encoder controls the amplitude of the wave. Toggle the directionality of the sequence: up, down, or up/down to customize the CVs further. CD also gives CV control over the number of steps in the sequence and an end-of-cycle trigger output. Unipolar and bipolar outputs allow maximal control.

The ASSIMIL8OR is a CV/Gate-controllable sampler with eight independent channels. Each channel is not only its own voice, but also has a separate audio output and a gate/trigger and three CV inputs. Given ever get two sample inputs and main outputs. Thus, Stereo Sampling and playback is possible. Mixed operation of stereo or mono is possible and is limited only by the maximum number of eight channels or parts.

The ASSIMIL8OR works with high-quality 24-bit AD and DA converters. Internally, however, sample and bit rate for lo-fi sound can be lowered, the latter is even CV-controllable. The samples can also be otherwise manipulated in many ways. Thus, the phase of a sample via CV or a different sample can be modulated. Likewise, the loop points can be controlled and the sample can be traversed with CV control (scrubbing), whereby wavetable similar effects could be achieved. Samples and presets are stored on an SD card, which is easily accessible plugged into the module front.

Notes: ADSR is a four stage linear envelope with two expressive ranges. Each stage can be modified independently allowing for the creation of complex, multi-segment envelopes. Great for modulating filters, VCAs, and oscillators.

Notes: Clk is a voltage controlled clock generator with all the features a master clock needs. It has an extremely wide range from ten seconds between pulses well into audio rate. In addition, the pause button and CV input provide an expressive feature that is all too often missing in a modular setup. Stop using LFOs or other modulation sources for your master clock, and let Clk do what it's best at.

Notes: Div is a 2 channel, voltage controlled clock divider and multiplier. Incoming clock signals can be multiplied or divided by a factor of 16 with a multitude of values in between.

CV inputs provide external control of the current clock rate, allowing for the creation of dynamic rhythms from a single clock signal.

Notes: Mix is a 4 channel mixer that is great for audio or control voltage signals. Up to four inputs can be combined to a single output each with its own level control.

Notes: Erica Pico INPUT module is just what you need to interface your modular system with external synths or even your mp3 player or mobile phone.

It boosts external signal to modular synth signal level.

With the Pico Input, line signals from, for example, a synthesizer, drum-computer, audio interface or smartphone can be raised to modular level. The module delivers up to 40 dB of gain. Thanks to its two channels, users can comfortably process mono as well as stereo material.

The Pico Input comes equipped with two signal paths. Each signal path features an audio input, a volume potentiometer and an output. Up to 40 dB of amplification are available. Using jumpers on the circuit board, it is possible to dampen the maximum gain to 20 dB. The module's first input is a stereo jack, meaning the user can connect a smartphone or tablet without any adapter cables. In this case, incoming signals are distributed internally to both channels.

Notes: Erica Pico VCF1, is a younger brother of Erica Black Polivoks VCF, designed on the similar topology using rare Russian op amps. As result you get a filter great for acid bass lines, screaming resonance sweeps and deep wobbles.

Notes: A-138s is a simple but useful 4-in-2 mixing tool. It has four inputs available. Each input is equipped with an attenuator (Level) and a panning control that is used to distribute the signal to the left and right output. Beyond stereo mixing it is equally suited to create variable parallel routings. For example: Any of the four inputs may be routed in variable intensity to feed two filters.

You may regard the A-138s as a smaller version of the A-138m Matrix Mixer.

Nebulae is a granular sampler and DSP platform. Its phase vocoder audio engine provides elastic audio, which can be time stretched, granularized, and mangled to no end. With independent control over pitch and speed, and granular controls such as overlap, window, and density, finding new sonic territory is only a knob turn away. Nebulae can use live audio input, a recorded buffer, or audio files as the source material for its powerful audio manipulations. The live input buffer can record up to five minutes of stereo audio at 48kHz, 24 bit. In addition, up to 75 MB of stereo audio can be loaded simultaneously through the USB port. No naming convention or special formatting necessary; just plug and play.

Nebulae lives a double life as an open source DSP platform with an extensive library of off the shelf alternate instruments. Notes: Tetrapad is a versatile, multi-dimensional, touch-sensitive control surface for Eurorack. Each of its four pads use force sensing resistors to respond to both the vertical position of your finger and its pressure. Tetrapad operates in numerous modes - each of which configures the module to perform a specific control task. The Field Kit FX is built up from 7 separate functional blocks all focused on mangling and changing incoming audio and CV signals. They are designed to operate together as a coherent addition to our Field Kit Electroacoustic Workstation or alternatively together with other pieces of music electronics with the ability to use control voltage signals.

Notes: Module A-103 is a voltage controlled low pass filter with 18dB/octave slope. The circuit is based on a modified transistor ladder (Moog ladder) and is a reproduction of the legendary TB303 filter.

As for the rest the A-103 is identical to the A-120 Moog low pass filter (same controls, inputs/outputs) only the filter sound is different.

Notes: The Multi-Delay Processor is a creatively usable echo effect with eight taps. The module's sound may remind you of classic bucket-brigade devices. - It even generates distinctive pitch effects when altering the delay time. An input mixer gives audio material a crisp, analogue character. Thanks to feedback channels with pitch shifter and reverb processor, shimmering echoes and other atmospheric effects can be achieved. A total of nine envelope followers and 14 audio outputs invite you to do extensive feedback patches and other edgy experiments.

The Multi-Delay Processor isn't just a high-quality echo effect but was designed to be a fundamental ingredient of patches. Its core is a bank of eight digital delays, which are wired in series. Together, the circuits form a multi-tap echo. The volume of each signal repetition as well as the raw material can be adjusted via faders. Furthermore, there are individual audio and envelope follower CV outputs for the dry signal and all taps. An analogue clock is used to control the echo circuits. The delay time can be set manually via a potentiometer plus there are two CV inputs with bipolar attenuators. Altering the delay time parameter during operation leads to pitch effects. At this point at latest, you'll realize the superiority of the serial memory design used by Mark Verbos over average effect chips. Despite its digital core, the Multi-Delay Processor offers charming sound reminiscent of a classic bucket-brigade device. - Only cleaner and more transparent.

A three-channel mixer with dedicated level potentiometers adds analogue character to signals before they are fed to the delay circuits. Without patch cables plucked into the second and / or third input, you can use these channels as feedback paths with additional effects. In detail, a pitch shifter calibrated to +1 octave (channel 2) and a reverb (channel 3) are available. - A perfect setup for creating shimmering echoes and other atmospheric effects. High feedback values make the module self-oscillate. In contrast to the multi-tap delay, which consists of individual components, an FV-1 chip is used for pitch shifting and reverberation. This processor is well-known, as it is the main component of multi-effects modules like the Erica Black Hole DSP and numerous guitar pedals. Here, the FV-1 is "just" a creative addition to the main effect.

In addition to the manual mix output, which emits the mixture of raw and effect material dialled in via the faders, there are four other audio outs. Two of these connectors provide signals derived from summing up all even respectively odd taps. The other sockets emit preset mixes with increasing or decreasing level. - Very cool for quickly creating special effects.

Notes: The WAV Recorder from 4ms Company is a high fidelity, two-channel stereo audio recorder with basic playback features. Accepting a wide range of input signals, from line-level to modular-level, the WAV Recorder stores audio onto a microSD card in lossless .wav format up to 96kHz/24-bit. The trigger jack can be used for capturing rhythmic loops or synchronizing multiple WAV Recorder modules for multi-track recording. In Playback mode, the trigger jack or button plays the most recent recording. A simple file/folder navigation system can be used to browse the folders on the card for playing back .wav files. A Gain knob allows for up to +20dB of boost, and an LED Signal Meter indicates clipping and the signal level.

Notes: Tiptop Audio's Z-DSP is a cartridge-based open source digital sound processing and effects generating platform for your modular synthesizer. Lush audio processing, greater stereo depth and a unique set of digital synthesis is what the Z-DSP is all about.

The Z-DSP has a stereo digital sound processor with 24-bit sampling, 15kHz of bandwidth, voltage-controlled parameters of stereo feedback, program switching, DSP parameters, equal power crossfading dry/wet mixing, as well as sequential program control switching and a clear display - all in Eurorack format. A dedicated clocking input for the DSP chip does wonders to passing sound by bending the algorithms in an unexpected way, a hardware technique computer plugins can't do and is unique to the Z-DSP.

In a recent update, the Z-DSP (NS) got an all new design of its analogue circuitry, contributing to a lower noise signal path, clearer sound of the entire frequency range, lower distortion and better immunity to noise emitted by other modules sharing the same power supply. A new analogue dry/wet circuit has been implemented to remove the 3db gain drop when the mix knob passes through the centre of the dial making the use of this function more practical in a live application. A reverse polarity protection has been added as well. The new front-panel matches Tiptop's colourful design, and a single printed circuit board and surface mount technology improve reliability during production and use. The powerful Z-DSP engine remains the same as the original Z-DSP module and all cards are compatible across both versions.

An assortment of interchangeable cards, programmed by Tiptop Audio and specialists like Valhalla DSP, provide a wide range of boutique effects algorithms such as Halls of Valhalla, Time Fabric, Clocked Delays and Grain De Folie. Tiptop Audio also offers blank Z-DSP cartridges and a development tool called NumberZ for developers, students and power users who want to design their own effects and cards with the FV-1 DSP chip programming language. Blank cards can be loaded using programs that are freely available for non-commercial use and can be found in the modular community through online forums. With each card swap, the Z-DSP takes on new effect algorithms, changing like a digital chameleon and bringing colourful digital effects processing to your Eurorack setup.

The Z-DSP comes included with 2 cards: Halls of Valhalla and Dragonfly Delay MKII.

Notes: The 'HPO' is an affordable super slim and skiff friendly no frills stereo headphone driver output for your modular synthesiser. Includes a volume control and ability to double up a mono signal into stereo. A great use for that left over 2hp in a skiff or larger system.

Notes: Module A-140-2 contains two ADSR type envelope generators behind a front panel with 8 HP only.

Each ADSR provides these controls and in/outputs:

The output voltage range for each envelope is 0 - 10V. The time range of Attack/Decay/Release is about 1ms to 30s.

By means of internal jumpers one can select which time parameters are controlled by the CVT input (e.g. D only or D+R or A+D+R) and in which direction (i.e. if an increasing CVT shortens or stretches the time parameter in question).

Socket CVT can be normalled to an internal fixed voltage (i.e. the switching contact is connected to an internal fixed voltage). That way it's possible to change all time parameters simultaneously by means of the CVT control.

Another jumper is used to set output 2 to normal or inverted envelope.

And another jumper is used for the normalling of Gate 2 to Gate 1 (i.e. ADSR#2 is also triggered by Gate 1).

Two more jumpers are used for the optional bus access to the gate signal of the bus for each ADSR. Changing the positions of the mentioned jumpers allows to modify the factory settings.

Notes: The WaveSwarm is a waveform animator and all analogue dual channel device.

Each channel simulates up to six VCO's beating in unison with a different beat frequency between each animation. The fixed beat frequencies are generated by twelve onboard LFO's, and the front panel pots control the level of each of the six animators, along with the level of the dry signal to the final mix. In addition to independent channel inputs and outputs it also has an A+B output, which sums the outputs of the two channels, creating an effect similar to twelve VCO's in unison! This is possible because channel B uses slightly different beat frequencies to channel A, they are not identical.

The input waveform can be saw, triangle, sine or wavetable/complex waveforms, in fact most waveforms with the exception of square or PWM waves will give some form of animation.

A soft clip circuit is built in so that at higher signal levels the signal magnitude is limited by rounding the top and bottom of the waveforms, thus slightly softening the sound. There are soft clip LED indicators for both channels.

It can produce huge, fat drones or supersaw type waveforms from a single sawtooth or triangle wave input.

Notes: Module A-115 is a four-way frequency divider. The frequency of a signal at the input is halved (half frequency = first sub-octave), quartered (1/4 frequency = second sub-octave), and so on. In this way, the DIVIDER produces four sub-octaves (F/2 down to F/16).

At the output, the A-115 produces a summed mix of the original and the four sub-octaves. There are attenuators to control the amount (i.e. Amplitude) of the original signal and each of the sub-octaves.

Bear in mind that the sub-octaves output by the A-115 are all true square waves. At the output there are always four square waves and the original signal available.

Notes: Module A-199 is a spring reverb module. The reverb effect is electronically simulated by means of 3 spiral springs. Spring reverb systems have a very characteristic sound that is based on the (insufficient) mechanical properties of the springs like signal delays, audio resonances, limited frequency range, acoustic feedback behaviour, sensitivity to mechanical shocks and others.

The 3-spring system used in the A-199 ensures a "dense" reverb because of the different properties of the three springs.

The A-199 implies some special features that are not self-evident for spring reverb units:

The reverb signal can be fed back to the input using the Feedback control. Even self-oscillation of the springs similar to the self-oscillation of filters is available. The feedback loop can lead even via external modules like VCA, VCF, phaser, frequency shifter, vocoder, distortion/waveshaper, ring modulator and others. In this case the reverb output of the A-199 is connected to the input of the external module(s) and the output of the external module(s) is fed back to the Ext. Feedback In socket of the A-199. This socket contains a switch that interrupts the internal feedback loop as soon as a plug is inserted.

Another feature is the Emphasis control. This enables the adjustment of the accentuation of middle frequencies (around ~ 2kHz).

With the Mix control the relation between original and reverb signal appearing at the mix output is adjusted.

Using all these features very extreme and unusual effects can be generated with the A-199.

Notes: Zadar is a powerful, four-channel envelope, modulation, and transient generator, in a compact yet very complete, feature-rich package. It is capable of synthesising a vast palette of envelope shapes starting from hundreds of shapes stored in the memory. These starting shapes are not mere wavetables, but flexible vectors that can be stretched (from a fraction of a millisecond to half an hour), flipped, warped, distorted, delayed, shuffled, repeated, and amplitude modulated in real time. A set of freely assignable CV inputs allows for external control of most parameters. Each channel can work independently or combined with other channels within one of the chaining and looping algorithms.

Operating Zadar is quick and immediate, thanks to its accessible interface and crisp OLED display. The main screen displays all parameters together with the currently selected shape. Entering the simple 3-page menu is needed only for advanced settings.

Notes: Erica Synths Drum Mixer Lite is compact version of Drum Mixer. Forbidden Planet has three filter input jacks: High Pass, Low Pass and Band Pass. The High Pass section is this module's signature sound - a crisp sharp-cut with no residue, designed to add High Pass filtering capability to Tiptop Audio's wide range of Eurorack modules. Send a throbbing kick drum through the High Pass section and filter out the rumbling lows while maintaining the pulse of the beat. The Bandpass is clear and useful in isolating a pie-slice-range-of-frequencies while cutting off the low and highs, great for accurate sound design or sculpting audio into that sweet spot. The Low Pass is an airy classic 12db two-pole analogue slope ideal for monophonic synth patches and filtering down to the essential low-end bass we all love.

The Forbidden Planet Resonance utilizes an internal feedback path which can sound smooth or aggressive depending on the knob setting. At a low setting, it emphasizes the cut-off harmonics, at middle settings it begins to self-oscillate, and towards maximum setting it forms interesting tones and all sorts of chopped grainy bits of self-oscillation perfect for entering into a sci-fi world.

The Forbidden Planet is an impressive multi-mode analogue filter which adds a broader filter spectrum to the Tiptop Audio modular family and unlocks forbidden creative possibilities in a small package.

Notes: The Rene music synthesizer module is a powerful three-dimensional prism of composition. It is the world's only 3D Cartesian Music Sequencer. Named for the French philosopher & mathematician Rene Descartes, it uses the Cartesian coordinate system to unlock the analogue step sequencer from the shackles of linearity. The original Rene was a one-channel, two-dimensional Cartesian sequencer with limited memory, this new Rene is a three-channel, three-dimensional Cartesian sequencer with memory for up to 64 complete States. Notes: Erica Synths Black Hole DSP 2, an updated version of Black Hole DSP features 24 custom effects, designed in close co-operation of Erica Synths team rider KODEK and creator of SpinCAD software Gary Worsham. Each effect has 3 manually and CV controllable parameters, manual and CV control over sampling frequency for spanning from 48kHz to really Lo-Fi crunchy sound and full analogue dry/wet control. All effect parameter settings can be saved to the memory and instantly recalled with the effect, which makes Black Hole DSP II ideal for live performances.

Notes: To add some space to your compositions and nuances in sound design Erica Synths Dual FX module brings you two identical sections of 8 custom effects with two adjustable and CV controllable parameters.
Dual FX combines two Spin FV-1 chips in one module, each filled with eight custom effect programs with two adjustable and CV controlled parameters per effect and analogue dry/wet circuit. All parameter settings can be saved with the effect and recalled instantly during the performance. Also the output of the first FX section is normalised to the second input so creating huge layers of effects is easy.

Notes: Module A-183-9 is a simple power supply for up to four devices which can be powered via USB (e.g. keyboards, smartphones). An LED shows is the +5V are present.

The module has no USB function but provides only the +5V supply for USB devices.

Notes: Play is a high-fidelity sample player with a full feature set.

Up to 32 samples can be loaded at a time and dynamically switched between using the file knob and associated CV input. Playback modes include one-shot, looping, or gated playback; all with extremely low latency. Transform your samples by pitching them up two octaves or down three octaves, all with a pitch knob that can be free running or quantized to semitones. The pitch CV input tracks volt per octave across its entire range and allows for musical sequencing of samples. Play ships with a pre-loaded SD card packed with loops, drum hits, and field recordings to get you up and running immediately.

Notes: Erica Synths Cymbals is a distinct topology digital/analogue module, where cymbal samples are passed thru AS3330 based VCA and controlled via envelope generators of unique design. The module features 10 sets of custom Crash and Ride cymbal samples with Tune control and individual Decay control. Accent and CV control over Tone and Decay allow you to create lot of variations in the Cymbals track. An extra feature is sample looping - when it's on, a certain part of the sample is looped while the envelope decay is on, thus creating a distinct, delay-like effect. Cymbal samples are developed by producer and musician Nero Bellum.

Notes: LINK is the module that bridges Eurorack to destop mixers - it has 5 sections that attenuate Eurorack signals to line level signals and sends them to 6.3mm jacks for quality connection to the mixer.

Notes: Pluck is a physical modelling synth voice. It uses the Karplus-Strong algorithm to create plucked string sounds. The dampening control sets the size of the string and allows for dramatic timbral shifts.

The decay control changes note length from percussive transients to infinite harp sounds. In addition, four voice polyphony provides complex layered tones; all from a single sound source.

Notes: Erica Synths Modulator is an advanced modulation and pitched noise source with focus on rhythmic (but not limited to) compositions in mind. It features two identical syncable to the BPM LFOs/noise sources with selectable morphing waveshapes. LFO frequency can be manually adjustable, as well as they provide frequency divisions and multiplication in Sync mode. Each LFO has two outputs- main one and secondary one with adjustable phase, so you can create evolving modulations. Furthermore, LFOs can be linked to work at the same frequency and the first LFO has built in VCA to control output signal amplitude.

Notes: The next generation 12 stage, analogue multi tap Phaser, which is a development of, and replacement for, our earlier MegaPhase 12 unit. It includes all the features of the MegaPhase 12 and is also built around the circuitry of the superb sounding EH Smallstone Phaser, which was used to such great effect on synthesisers and string machines by J M Jarre on his early albums. It has the same versatile Stage and Emphasis stage switching, and the same configuration of stereo outputs, where the left channel is taken from the Stage switch, and the Right output from the Emphasis Stage Switch.

New features include independent Level Controls for Input 1 and Input 2, and a Phase "Colour" Control, which can lighten or darken the phasing effect. We have also used much lower noise internal VCA's and low noise audio op-amps along with a four layer PCB design, so that the S/N ratio is improved and the noise floor is considerably reduced compared with the previous MegaPhase 12 phaser. Like its predecessor it occupies 18HP of Eurorack space.

Notes: This 30HP wide module features twelve fixed frequency, inductor based bandpass filters, set at half octave interval spacing and covering from 125 Hz through to 5.8kHz. It also features low pass and high pass shelf filters, again they are fixed frequency and both are active inductor based circuits. It has a vintage pedigree that harks back to the original and highly sought after 914 Fixed Filter bank from the 1960's Moog 900 series modular synthesiser system, however we have brought this design up to date and made it compact enough to fit into skiff friendly Eurorack cases by using gyrator based active inductors, and have added some other very useful features too - the bands are split alternatively to left and right channels, each having their own individual output, and there is also an inbuilt Voltage Controlled cross-fader that allows panning between the left and right banks, with a mix of all bands available in the central position.

In addition, we have a second cross fader that can mix between the dry incoming signal, or an external signal fed into input 2, and this is cross-faded against the wet MIX Output - this allows Voltage Controlled crossfading from wet to dry signals, or between wet and external signals - and the level of each can be adjusted using the Input 1 and Input 2 level controls.

A further addition is the feedback control, this is similar in design to the resonance control on a regular VCF, but because of the multiple fixed filters topology it is rather different in operation - it would normally be added in small amounts to thicken up the sound, however we have allowed the feedback to traverse to quite extreme settings for howling feedback and even soft clipped self-oscillation, especially for the noise merchants out there...

Using L/C inductor topology bandpass circuits rather than the usual Sallen Key R/C active bandpass filters does give a slightly different sound and this is part of the magic of the original 914 filterbank, as the LC based circuit exhibits less phase shift against frequency that the more common Sallen Key R/C based bandpass filters that are used in many Modular synths.

Many people often wrongly assume that a fixed filter bank is exactly the same as a graphic equaliser - however this is certainly not the case, if all of the controls of a graphic EQ are set to centre then a flat frequency response is expected and the output will sound very similar, or identical to the input - this does not happen with a fixed filter bank, the frequency response rises and falls as it passes between each stage (but to a lesser extent than if the filters are all set to maximum output), so it acts as a soft slope comb filter, and the resulting output sounds very different from the input signal. Also, with all of the individual filters turned to zero there will be no output at all.

Notes: The original MiniMod Glide +Noise module was based exactly on the original Minimoog Model D circuitry, which was designed to be used with the built in Model D keyboard, and because of its vintage design its range was severely limited to 5 or 6 octaves, and it also responded to positive voltages only. Another limitation was that it would not return fully to zero when selecting long glide times, which restricted the range even more.

So we made the decision to re-design the MiniMod Glide + Noise using modern precision parts, and we have come up with an all new circuit which has exactly the same function, but with a hugely extended range. It has the same Glide slope characteristic (a slightly curved Linear Glide) as the Model D on which the MiniMod is based, however in response to many requests from customers we have adjusted the glide up and down speeds so that they are now very similar , which is much more useful in real world applications that the earlier MK1 version which (like the Model D) would glide up considerably faster than it would glide down.

The new Mk2 MiniMod Glide Noise module now has an impressive 14 octave range, and can respond to negative voltages down to -5V. This is a very useful feature, as our MiniMod VCO's will respond to negative control voltages and produce correspondingly low frequencies; so it is now possible to glide down quickly or slowly to crazy sub bass levels! The hold feature has been improved too, it covers the full audio range as well as DC control voltages, and works as a track and hold module with Eurorack signal levels.

A further enhancement is that the Mk2 module can now (using selectable jumpers) transmit or receive pitch CV to the Eurorack power bus; for example, the Glide CV Output can now be directed to the Bus in order to send CV's to (for example) three VCO's via the bus without the need for a passive multi and four patch cords!

The Noise section of the module is unchanged, except that we have slightly boosted the level of the Red Noise output to bring it more in line with Eurorack control voltage levels.

Lastly, it is much shallower - Mk1 Glide Noise had a depth of 54mm, and it was the only MiniMod module that was too deep to fit a skiff style case - and this prevented a full MiniMod system being installed into a shallow Eurorack case. The new MK2 version is only 28mm deep, so this allows both it and a full MiniMod system to be mounted into shallow skiff style Eurorack cases.
