The Waverazor Dual Oscillator is a result of a special collaboration between 1010music and MOK. It is the first hardware module to bring MOK's patented wave-slicing? oscillator design to Eurorack format. Waverazor's novel approach to synthesis splices waveforms into twisted and aggressive new timbres. Featuring fresh sound generation techniques like Multi-Sync and Mutant AM, the Waverazor oscillator is perfect for biting leads, glitched-out basses, cinematic drones and everything in between.

One Waverazor Eurorack oscillator can contain up to 8 wave slices, creating a multi-segment "Frankenstein" waveform that produces extended harmonic content beyond any single wave shape. Each individual slice has independent control over wave pitch, volume, phase and DC offset, allowing a single oscillator to contain a multitude of timbral colours. Even the "Razor" itself can be adjusted, with parameters for its own slice frequency, step size multiplier and duty cycle.

The Waverazor Dual Oscillator module provides a central waveform display that allows you to visualize the output. There's an audio input for slicing up any sound you like. Four endless knobs make it possible to morph multiple parameters at once, while the touch screen enables X/Y performance controllers that allow you to manipulate the sound with the swipe of your finger. Notes: We are proud to present our newest workpiece: The ACL Multifunction Discrete VCO combines a massive single saw tooth core with a strong sub oscillator - each of them with its individual wave shaper. As usual, we didn't spare any effort to bring you the best quality - from the inside right to the outside.

The module comes with saw, inverted saw, PW rectangle, triangle and sine - all important waveforms of a proper modular unit are featured. We constructed all signal paths in fully discrete design up to the outputs - but it is much more to it than just a clone of a classical VCO:

If you play with the linear detune, it is possible to create awesome "beating effects" between two or more VCOs. The direct relation between the linear detune and VCO response makes it possible to use the same frequency at every pitch - for an atmospheric, rich and alive sound.

If you play the VCO in LFO mode, the module enables to control the speed in the same way as in VCO mode. If you leave V/Oct CV, you can generate very long lasting sweeps.

Another strong feature are the big syncing capabilities: Adjust the sync amount manually or via CV between the range of sync and no sync - and surf through variable degrees from soft to hard sync.

The core should sync to all repeatable waveforms - approximately exceeding 1 V pp - but in case sync wave is important for some applications, it is possible to choose between falling and rising edge sync in order to hold the proper phase relation between the syncing and the synced wave.

The Gate Input gives you the option to reset the VCO core at the beginning of every note. This feature is highly recommended for the creation of bass and percussion patches if every attack should sound equal and systematic at each time the notes are played. The Gate Input can be used as hard-sync input as well, even in the same time with the Sync input.

You are free to modulate both the oscillator and sub oscillator rectangle wave pulse widths through their separate PWM Ins and PW pots.

On top of this, you also have the possibility to choose between different PWM "carrier" waves to change the PWM-behaviour: Rising and Falling Sawtooth will create an unsymmetrical PWM, while Triangle will create a very musical sounding symmetrical PWM.

High-quality dual linear VCA with mixing functionalities
Notes: Audiophile Circuits League VC Dual Amp contains two fully discrete voltage controllable amplifiers with linear characteristic. It is based on a new circuit design which delivers unheard clarity of sound. To this day there is no other VCA using this special technique!

The module offers a very low harmonic distortion in the whole linear gain range, no crossover distortion and no overshoots nor ringing. Furthermore, it has a very high dynamic range which provides a lot of headroom. The VCAs will amplify the input signal very accurately and it will sound crystal clear, without any coloration, distortion or bleed. Each channel has a Gain potentiometer for manually setting the VCA's initial gain and a control voltage input which is equipped with an attenuverter for scaling the modulation.

Thanks to normalized signal and CV inputs, both VCAs can be used in conjunction - great for processing stereo material. Furthermore, you can create voltage controlled panning effects and crossfades in next to no time. Beside the two individual audio outputs from each VCA, there is a Sum-output which provides the mix of the output of both VCAs and of the signal coming from the Aux-input. This additional input has no level control and is mixed at unity gain. Thus three different signals can be mixed together.

The amplifiers are also suitable for processing control voltages thanks to a completely DC-coupled signal path. Behind its simple appearance, this module shines with its functionality and sound quality!

It has a vintage pedigree that harks back to the original and highly sought after 914 Fixed Filter bank from the 1960's Moog 900 series modular synthesiser system, however we have brought this design up to date and made it compact enough to fit into skiff friendly Eurorack cases by using gyrator based active inductors, and have added some other very useful features too - the bands are split alternatively to left and right channels, each having their own individual output, and there is also an inbuilt Voltage Controlled cross-fader that allows panning between the left and right banks, with a mix of all bands available in the central position.

In addition, we have a second cross fader that can mix between the dry incoming signal, or an external signal fed into input 2, and this is cross-faded against the wet MIX Output - this allows Voltage Controlled crossfading from wet to dry signals, or between wet and external signals - and the level of each can be adjusted using the Input 1 and Input 2 level controls.

Another limitation was that it would not return fully to zero when selecting long glide times, which restricted the range even more.

So we made the decision to re-design the MiniMod Glide + Noise using modern precision parts, and we have come up with an all new circuit which has exactly the same function, but with a hugely extended range. It has the same Glide slope characteristic (a slightly curved Linear Glide) as the Model D on which the MiniMod is based, however in response to many requests from customers we have adjusted the glide up and down speeds so that they are now very similar , which is much more useful in real world applications that the earlier MK1 version which (like the Model D) would glide up considerably faster than it would glide down.

The new Mk2 MiniMod Glide Noise module now has an impressive 14 octave range, and can respond to negative voltages down to -5V. This is a very useful feature, as our MiniMod VCO's will respond to negative control voltages and produce correspondingly low frequencies; so it is now possible to glide down quickly or slowly to crazy sub bass levels! The hold feature has been improved too, it covers the full audio range as well as DC control voltages, and works as a track and hold module with Eurorack signal levels.

A further enhancement is that the Mk2 module can now (using selectable jumpers) transmit or receive pitch CV to the Eurorack power bus; for example, the Glide CV Output can now be directed to the Bus in order to send CV's to (for example) three VCO's via the bus without the need for a passive multi and four patch cords!

The Noise section of the module is unchanged, except that we have slightly boosted the level of the Red Noise output to bring it more in line with Eurorack control voltage levels.

Lastly, it is much shallower - Mk1 Glide Noise had a depth of 54mm, and it was the only MiniMod module that was too deep to fit a skiff style case - and this prevented a full MiniMod system being installed into a shallow Eurorack case. The new MK2 version is only 28mm deep, so this allows both it and a full MiniMod system to be mounted into shallow skiff style Eurorack cases.

Sample & Hold, Track & Hold, Gated Slew, Clock & Noise generator - black, 12HP
Notes: A real powerhouse module that takes up only 12 HP of rack space. It can generate random and pseudo random control voltages, staircase waveforms, deliberate aliasing of audio signals, portamento type effects, adjustable audio range noise and has many other uses too.

It can be switched between Sample & Hold or Track & Hold modes, and the unique "Restrict" control affects the way the hold output changes with respect to the current input level and previously held output level. With the control fully off the unit behaves just like any other S/H, but at fully clockwise the output is restricted to move by only a small amount after each new sample. The output will still have the same range as the input, but will need more hold commands to get there. This versatile Sample and Hold circuit was designed by Tony Allgood, and is built under licence from Oakley Sound.

The Sample Hold & Slew module also includes a very well featured Slew generator, which includes a Gated Slew function. It can be used independently or chained with the S&H module. Slew mode can be switched between Linear or Exponential Slew types. There is a Gate input, so that the Slew on/off can be switched using an External CV (Gated Slew), and also the Slew control logic can be reversed by a toggle switch that doubles as a manual Slew on/off switch. In addition, it has slew up only, slew down only or slew up and down modes, which are selected with a three-way toggle switch. An indicator LED lights when Slew is active

There is also an inbuilt analogue Noise generator, which is normalised to the input of the Sample and Hold section, and there are both regular and clipped Noise outputs - the Clipped Noise is particularly useful with the sample and hold section, as it is weighted to produce higher random voltages. Both Noise outputs are fed through an internal "Noise Colour" control - at centre position it allows the noise through unfiltered, turning the control anti-clockwise introduces low pass filtering of the Noise, and rotating it clockwise introduces high pass filtering. The Noise source itself is based on an analogue band gap shunt regulator configured in avalanche mode, and it generates white noise with a gradual roll off above 8kHz. It is a little "grainier" in character than the noise from our MiniMod Glide & Noise module (which uses a reverse biased transistor as a noise source), so is a useful compliment to this module as it does not generate exactly the same sounding Noise

Lastly, it includes a wide range clock generator with a rate LED. The range is from one cycle every thirty seconds to around 2 kHz and the clock output is normalised to the Clock Input of the S&H section. It also has a Clock Out jack so that it can be externally patched to other Eurorack modules.

Noise/random generator - 4HP
Notes: Module A-118-2 is the slim version of module A-118-1 and offers essentially the same features as the A-118-1. But the distances between the controls are smaller and rubberized small-sized knobs are used. In return the front panel has 4 HP only which is half the width of the A-118-1. The module is primarily planned for applications where only limited space is available. The functional difference between A-118-1 and A-118-2 is the additional T&H/S&H unit which is not included in the A-118-1.

The module generates the signals white noise, coloured noise, continuous random voltage and stepped random voltage (derived from the continuous random voltage by means of a S&H/T&H unit).

The noise signal is generated 100% analogue by amplification of the noise of a transistor. White and coloured noise are usually used as audio sources. The random voltages are normally used as control voltages (e.g. for filter frequency or any other voltage controlled parameter).

The A-118-2 gives you the ability to mix the relative amounts of Red (low frequency component) and Blue noise (high frequency component) in the coloured noise output.

For the continuous random voltage the rate of change (Rate) and amplitude (Level) of the random voltage can be adjusted. The continuous random voltage is derived from the coloured noise signal by low pass filtering. Consequently the settings of the controls for the coloured noise (Blue, Red) affect the behaviour of the random voltage! A dual colour LED (red = positive / yellow = negative output voltage) indicates the continuous random voltage.

The continuous random voltage is used as source for the S&H/T&H unit. The type of operation can be set to S&H (sample and hold) or T&H (track and hold). When T&H is chosen the output signal follows the input signal (= continuous random voltage) as long as the Clock input is "high". As soon as the clock signal changes to "low" the last voltage is stored. When S&H is chosen the input signal (= continuous random voltage) is sampled at the rising edge of the Clock signal.

For the Clock signal a "digital" signal (e.g. Clock, Gate, rectangle output of an LFO) is required. It does not work with slowly changing continuous CV signals. Another dual colour LED (red = positive / yellow = negative output voltage) indicates the stepped random voltage.

Classic voltage controlled phase shifter - 8HP
Notes: Module A-125 (VC Phaser) is a voltage controlled phase shifter. Phase shifting can be controlled either manually or by voltage control. Other parameters which can be controlled are resonance (governing the depth of the comb filtering, and tonal colour) and mix (the amount of the original signal which is added to the phase-shifted signal). The A-125 is used to generate the typical phaser sound ("jet sound"). Due to the voltage control feature not only the usual LFO-controlled phasings but even ADSR-, random-, sequencer- or S&H-controlled phasings are possible. In combination with the Shepard generator A-191 and several A-125 never ending barberpole phasing effects come true.

Breakout module for the A-127 Triple Resonance Filter - 8HP
Notes: This expansion module offers the following additional functions:

- Notch filter for each sub-unit
- Separate outputs for lowpass, high-pass, bandpass and notch for each sub-unit
- Separate audio input with attenuator for each sub-unit

The breakout module allows the separate use of each of the three A-127 filters. In addition, the filters can be patched parallel or serial. Especially the serial connection of three notches generates very complex phasing-like structures. For parallel filter connection the existing mixer of the main module may be used or an external mixer. For serial connection the filters are patched in the desired sequence at the breakout module. A jumper is used to define the filter type for each sub-unit for the mix unit of the main module.

The breakout module can be used without modification only in combination with the new version of the A-127 (PCB printing "Version 4"). Only the new version has the expansion connector available, that is required to connect the breakout module without soldering. It's also possible to combine the breakout module with older versions of the A-127 (versions 1, 2 and 3) but in this case soldering is required to connect the breakout module to the main module (soldering 4 wires to each filter unit).
